• saffym2026 (2/5): horrible - they clearly don’t know how to clean anything properly since they use bleach for cups and spoons, not dish soap. it’s incredibly unorganised and unprofessional workplace to be in, you can tell the staff here are uncomfortable with the way they do things. if i could give this 0 stars i would. but this is to let everyone know who is staying there to not stay at all. it’s awful and nothing ever gets done. the man that works there is aggressive towards customers and sometimes his workers and is not a nice man. please be careful!! not to mention, there’s mould on the sheets, pillows and mattresses you sleep on.

• treceyr (10/5): Great host, clean comfy bed - Fantastic location, a stone throw from the pier, great price for the location, amenities, comfortable, clean bed, room, excellent shower facilities. Helpful and kind host, lost my wallet, still owe the host £10 as l didn't have enough cash on me, but was allowed to pay in cash. Couldn't call the host this morning as l left early, but will drop the £10 when in the area. Thank you for your kindness and helpfulness. Nandi .
• P5451WOterrip (10/5): Beautiful hotel - Marine parade hotel what a lovely hotel, a friendly and helpful manager, it was right near the pier and only walk away from the town, The room was clean, we had a sea view room it was great! The bathroom was clean and very spacious, The whole of the hotel was beautiful and clean , the manager showed all the rooms and they was clean and beautiful. We definitely going back there I would definitely recommend this hotel x
• bobbo1973 (10/5): Superb - I’ve stayed in Eastbourne a few times but this is by far the best place I’ve ever stayed in, the rooms are perfect, based on single, double or sea view, this place is superb, its clean, tidy and all you want from a hotel, the welcome we got was superb, we booked somewhere that day but but checked out within 1 hr then found this place, the owner greeted us and made us feel very welcome, I would strongly recommend this hotel 100%

I stayed in Room 4 which is in the rear on the ground floor & did not see or hear anybody else. The room was very small but adequate for 1 night - it was VERY clean & appeared recently refurbished, it had a tv + a table & chair. The bathroom bathroom was small but functional & again spotless!!!! I'd stay again but would request Room 4!!!!

• Teresa (2/5): Disgusting - Absolutely disgusting. As soon as we saw the entrance looked like a building site it looked closed down and my heart sank. I went up the stairs and found a small room that said reception. The manager was there gave mexa code for 3rd floor room. The corridor to the small lift filthy walls and door's neglected. Got to our room again filthy. Has to ask for quilt to be changed strained with blood and faeces. Windows rotting .No inside lock felt so unsafe had elderly mother with me felt ashamed ti have brought her here and had to stay as ticket's to a show nearby and too late to get back home by public transport. Hotel's. Com should remove this supposed hotel from there site its more like a filthy hostel
• Theo (2/5): Dump with unfriendly management. - Absolutely disgusting. Shouldn’t even be listed or suggested. Stayed in many hotels in Eastbourne and they do tend to be a bit run down but that’s usually ok. But this place…even from the outside, don’t bother. Much better available at better price!
• Eleanor (4/5): Pay for what you get... - The windows did not lock and the room door was on a code which did not seem to be unique to my stay so I did not feel particularly secure as a solo traveller. There was mould in the bathroom and half used shampoo. The TV didn't work either. The view was lovely, though, if that counts?
• Tarsam (8/5): - The hotel is more a guest house. I think it is being refurbished. The hotel corridors are quite dark and narrow as its an old building. However the room i stayed in was a pleasant surprise. It was clean and relatively quiet. With smart tv and remote controlled lights and fan and a sofa. It was cheap and i will stay there again. Its very conveniently placed just off the beach near the pier. Great for solo travellers.
• Terry (2/5): - From start to finish was not an enjoyable experience from the outdated abandoned looking entrance, the old carpets and poor decor this hotel is nothing like it’s led to be from arrival we was handed a scrap bit of paper with our key code for to enter the room from a man who looked lost and didn’t really know what was going on. Rhe site is more like a hostel than a hotel. From entering to leaving I didn’t not see another member of staff and there were no facilities for food or drink whilst on site. I had paid extra for a Seaview room and the view looking away from the hotel was the only impressive thing I can say about my state. Although the bed was clean and tidy, the room wasn’t very clean there was used condom wrappers and rubbish underneath the bed, the back of the door was covered in paint and there was just a complete lack of care when decoration was carried out. The bathroom door wouldn’t close properly being a sliding door. The shower doors also didn’t close properly meaning that when having a shower the floor would collect a lot of water and with only 2 towels provided we had to share a towel to dry and use one to collect water lot prevent slip hazards. The bed was soft and lumpy and really didn’t enjoy my night.
• I4538NUbillym (4/5): A place not to stay. - Room was allegedly cleaned for when we arrived. But could have done with an inspection as we found several things not clean including the cups! Decor is dilapidated, carpets haven’t been cleaned since early 2000’s and thread bear in some parts. Bathroom had serious mould issue. Lift worked sporadically When the issues were raised with the management team (Ahmed) there was a backlash of denial and no culpability. There is a reason the room was available last minute on the air show weekend. It’s not a hotel. It whole hell.
• laurasV5587NA (2/5): Shouldn't even be available on booking dot com - Do not even bother booking this so called hotel. I'm 100% sure it's being used as an HMO. We turned up and were checked in by a guy with a black eye! Walking up the stairs we were SHOCKED by the state of the place. Dated dusty carpets, laden with plaster dust, deteriorated paint and finish all the way up to the top floor, door with punch marks in them, screw holes, smothered in grime. The rooms - well, ours was clean but there was no hope as 3 females travelling together that we felt safe staying there. Walking up the stairs we could hear all-sorts going on. We refused to stay and requested a refund which they are still refusing to process despite us not using any of the room's facilities. Outside the hotel is run down and delapidated. Nothing in the foyer - empty like a shell. Hotel says it's 'newly refurbished ' which is insanely incorrect. Shocking. Absolute state. Do not waste your money.

• David (8/5): A couple of nights in July - It was a cheap hotel and you get what you pay for. The shower worked well the TV worked and there was WiFi. All good everything else is basic but functional. The staff were quick and efficient at check in.
• Lorne (8/5): - We were made welcome on our arrival.The room and ensuite was clean and the beds very comfortable. The location is brilliant being almost opposite the pier and on the seafront. A couple of minor irritations - the door was very rattly (we got used to it) and the windows could not be opened. Slightly more irritating was that we had booked a room with a sea view and although we had a limited view it was not what we had expected. Also, although it did not specifically say there were towels all the website photos showed towels so we didnt bring any!. The propert is clearly being totally renovated and we wish them all the best. Nice rooms, friendly staff and they aren’t too strict on checkout times. The place looks like it’s just had a refurb so I can only see it being higher rated from now on. ESPECIALLY FOR THE PRICE. 10/10!!!!

• Samantha (2/5): DO NOT STAY HERE - Terrible experience – avoid this place I booked this hotel through hotels.com and was extremely disappointed. The room we were given was dirty, smelt awful, and was clearly not cleaned properly. It was in such a bad state that we couldn’t stay there at all — we had to leave and find alternative accommodation last minute, which caused us a lot of stress after a long day of travel. The condition of the room did not match the photos or description online. This was a completely unacceptable experience and I would strongly advise others to avoid booking here. Yellow stained pillows with no covers and no pillow left in them when I got there, the carpets dont fit the room and are stained, broken shower door which took 30 mins to get any hot water out, toilet seat didn't fit and moved when in use in a tiny bathroom I could hardly move in. Dirty moldy windows, thin curtains that didn't fit and the loudest hotel I have ever stayed in. All through the night banging and crashing at all hours. No sleep what so ever. Do Not Waste Your Money!

• Culture39718408032 (2/5): Hotel lacks empathy and is willing to lie to keep money. - My elderly grandfather accidentally booked with this hotel yesterday. He is 86 and easily confused, he thought he was enquiring. Instead he has been charged nearly £500 for a hotel room he cannot safely travel to or stay at. I entirely understand that the hotel is not at fault for taking the booking but they have been entirely lacking in empathy in terms of taking so much money from an elderly man who can ill afford it. We contacted them very shortly after realising what had happened and have offered to pay a fee for the trouble but they have lied to us about their ability to cancel the booking and misled us repeatedly. Taking the full amount for a stay that is impossible strikes me as really.. morally bankrupt and I would recommend anyone considering staying there should reconsider.
• Tommy_jp1988 (2/5): Terrible Experience, Unsafe Environment, No Support - I booked a two-night stay for convenience, expecting a basic but safe place to rest. Upon arriving at 9 PM, we waited 15 minutes for someone to let us in. The hallway and corridors smelled of drugs, and there were loud noises and arguments, creating an unsafe atmosphere. We left immediately, as I didn't feel safe for myself and my daughter. Despite notifying the hotel, they refused a refund, claiming there was nothing wrong when they checked. This lack of concern for guest safety and satisfaction is unacceptable. I strongly advise avoiding this place, especially for families.

No working lift so had to climb untold number of stairs to get to our room on the 3rd floor. Broken tv left on floor in room. The only thing that was clean was the bedding. No hot water, small handbasin in room that wouldnt drain, then the phonebox sized shower tray filled with stinking water. Have many photis of proof. Not what is represented on the website DO NOT BOOK, THIS PLACE IS JUST AWFUL, SHAMEFULL AND I WOULD BE ASHAMED TO TAKE PEOPLES MONEY TO STAY THERE. Strong smell of urine on our landing, everything filthy. The best thing they can do is ose it, gut it all, and start over. Im beyond words.

• Maddie (4/5): Mould and Broken Shower - I stayed in room 25. There was MOULD in my shower which is really dangerous for me personally because 15 years ago I contracted Pnemonia and nearly died from having mould in my house when I'd just moved in, resulting in me spending a week in the Royal Alexandra Children's Hospital in Brighton When I turned the shower on it was freezing cold, took a while to get it hot and then when it was finally hot and I started washing my hair and body the shower unfortunately kept turning off. I tried to get it back on, thankfully after just washing my hair and it would not turn back on, so I think it probably broke. I got out the shower and had to wash my body with the water from the sink, which didn't completely wash off so I just wiped myself clean and dry with a towel. The shower is also tiny, making it extremely hard to move around and as there was no shelf in the shower I had to put my shower gel and shampoo on the floor in the shower which was very complicated with there not being a lot of room to move around. I would stay at this hotel again because it's my regular go to hotel for a short break / night away BUT on this occasion I am very disappointed and would be happy with a refund / compensation if possible please. I didn't complain at the time because I didn't want to cause a problem or moan.

I stayed in room number 26 smell like sewer it will better to sleep on the road I never in my stayed in the room with so strong smelly room, and there is no water pressure in the bathroom. I don’t recommend this hotel. If you like the smell of sewer try to book room number 26.
• Clinton (2/5): Do not stay here as it is a 0 * hotel. - This is the worst hotel I have stayed at recently. 1. No hot water from the shower. 2. Toilet seat was broken. 3. Did not receive room cleaning on daily basis (the booking said clean room on a daily basis) 4. Staff were very in helpful about the shower so I had to contact hotels.com to try and solve the problem. 5. The mattresses is for the bin as it is all soft and has a big ditch in the middle so you are basically sleeping on the base of the bed. I would not recommend staying at this hotel as for the money paid you would expect a good mattress and hot water in the shower.

• NorthStar21551212722 (4/5): Sewerage smell in room and poor shower - We stayed on the 22/09 in room 26. There was an awful smell of sewerage from the bathroom which affected our ability to sleep! Prior to going in the room the hotel manager rushed up to the room to spray deodoriser in the room, which was nearly as bad, but as soon as this wore off the sewerage smell returned. The shower was awful, no pressure at all and my GF couldn’t even wash her hair. It was barely a dribble of hot water. When we told the manager he just said it was because other people were showering at the same time. He didn’t even seem concerned about the sewerage smell! Never again. Nice way to Spoil my birthday weekend 😿
• Kate (8/5): - Definitely get what you pay for, but perfectly fine stay. Had a small baby with us too!
• Paige2016 (6/5): Dated but affordable and clean! - Pros- it’s close to the beach and town centre. - it’s next to a nice pub that does nice food and just down the road from the pier. -it’s fairly clean for a 2 star hotel. (Which made our stay much smoother) -wonderful view of the beach/sea -tea and coffee provided in the room. -TV is a bonus considering star rating. -bathroom is clean. Cons - decoration is outdated. -bad design of the en suite as the windows at the top lights up the bedroom in the middle of the night when you switch the light on. -no blackout curtains so very bright in the morning. - mattress is uncomfortable, felt every spring and when you sit on the bed you can feel the base board through as it’s so thin. -water stopped in the shower multiple times while only using it for a couple of minutes. It does eventually come back on but more of an inconvenience. I would say it’s an affordable hotel, you get what you pay for and it’s clean!
• antonia (2/5): - Hotel felt very unsafe. Reception was terrible as the staff member was never in reception and you had to call a number because he was outside smoking all day. Room we stayed in diabolical, doors to the room wasn’t locking properly and we couldn’t swap rooms until our second night. Our bathroom door was hanging off so we couldn’t shut it properly. The curtain only fit half of the window. The room smelt like damp the whole time we were there. Would not recommend staying here. No bar/ restaurant inside of the hotel.
• Ed-the-traveller (4/5): Fantastic friendly staff but management should redecorate the property - Checked in and was greeted by a very helpful and friendly Adel who kindly gave us a very nice room which is clean and bright and Ruth who rung to ask for feedback. I would give 5 stars for their service but 1 star for the hotel itself for reasons below. Unfortunately, the water stops for quite a while during my showers (up to 3 times on one occasion) which is not nice when covered in shampoo not knowing if it will come on again! It also makes a loud whirling noise like a helicopter outside when in the bedroom. The bed is very soft and there are some not nice smells in the corridors. The reception is unmanned most of the time so expect to wait outside on arrival to be let in or if you need a receptionist. Apart from that, the hotel is well located a few minutes from the pier and 10 minutes walk to the town centre. Overall the hotel needs redecorating inside and out. Hopefully the management will do this soon. The great plus in staying in Eastbourne unlike Brighton and other seaside towns are the free parking everywhere within 5-10 minutes walk to the town centre and pier / seaside.

• MALCOLM (6/5): - The rooms were clean and beds comfortable. Tea and coffee was provided. On the downside we had stayed a few qeeks ago and rebooked for the Eastbourne Airshow. We spoke with the gentleman at reception and requested the same room as it was a large triple room with a sea view and was told that he had put the request on the system. However when we arrived and I asked if we had the room requested we were told no and they allocate the rooms randomly. If i had known that we would have booked elsewhere. Shower was a very small cubicle which my special needs daughter could not get in to which was another reason we requested the larger room. The hot water took several minutes to come through before it was warm enough.
• Jennifer (4/5): - The building looks derilict from outside, inside the restaurant is closed, bar is closed, no aircon, no staff onsite 8pm till 10am. Our first room absolutely stank of sewerage from the bathroom, and the shower had zero water coming out after the first of us used it. No staff were insite to talk to, and no refund was given for the dreadful smell and lack of shower. We then moved rooms and those issues were not there, but no aircon. It is clear theyve tried hard to decorate the hotel inside, the the person who is there during the day is very pleasant, just unforgivable the conditions the first night. The bathrom had air freshener in it, so they knew it was a problem. My recommendation... don't stay here mid summer, and consider other options carefully first before taking this as an ok last resort.

• grace (8/5): - The receptionist Atta was very nice, he offered to help with my buggy countless times up and down the stairs and gave us more milk and sugar when asked. The room was nice for the price you pay per night, to the first look it was clean but i found behind the bed it hadn’t been hoovered. The room came with a fan which was very much needed as it was quite hot in the room and a radiator if needed. There is a little ‘kitchen’ in the lobby which had a toaster and microwave, which was very handy with a baby, and there is a kettle in the bedroom. There was no hot water when i went to go have a shower the first night there but i didn’t say anything because it was quite late, but i’m sure if asked it would have been fixed, but i checked again in the morning and there was hot water then. I would probably come again for the price and location which is just across from the beach.
• X3371NUserenap (2/5): Terrible - Awful. Dirty, dingy room, small window overlooking the smoking area of the pub next door. 70s 'fire' doors that were falling apart and everything needed redecorating. Was more like a hostel than a hotel. Won't be back. No breakfast at all and it wasn't exactly cheap.
• MALCOLM (8/5): - Property was facing the beach and our room overlooked the sea. The room was clean and tidy and the beds were comfortable. The communal areas although clean were dated. The staff were very helpful and were able to provide a hotel guest parking permit for parking on the road outside the property for a small charge of £2.20. It was a short walk to the pier and just a little further to the town centre.
• Philip (4/5): - No breakfast available. No extra pillows, no towels provided. Very very basic.
• JOHN (8/5): Our return stay - We enjoyed our stay here but to obtain 5 star would like to see staff on desk at some point during day also hair dryer in room . We have stayed here before and enjoyed our stay and would defo stay again . Thanks
• Abbie (10/5): Excellent stay 😃 - Honestly really really great place to stay! Very good value for money, such a friendly and kind host to welcome us and even helped carry bags to our room. Ensured we had everything we needed for a fab monday-friday stay. In our room there was tea and coffee facilities, a small table and chairs, a double bed and a single bed and our own toilet and shower room which had little bottles of shampoo and shower gel which was a nice touch. Room was clean and cosy, lovely big windows, a couple of updates/repairs needed in room but nothing that impacted stay. Location is amazing! As someone who really struggles to walk and relies on a walking aid I found this brilliant. Literally a minute from the pier, can see it from the front of the hotel. A little Tesco and other shops very close by. Right on the seafront l, brilliant. Cannot rate this place enough for the price :) thank you

• Joseph (6/5): Good value but bathroom issues - Good value, the staff was friendly, attentive, and helpful, amazing view of the ocean, there was a problem with backed up sewage in the bathroom that made it really smelly, also part of the ceiling in the bathroom was peeling and looked like it might fall down, other than that it was fine.
• Anneke (8/5): - For a budget stay The Oyo Marine Parade was not bad at all. The room was a small double but had an en-suite and was clean & tidy. The staff were exceptional and nothing was too much trouble. When my husband was taken into hospital and I didn’t return until 3.30am the 24 hr receptionist got up to let me in with a welcoming smile and kindness, much needed after 9 hours in A & E! A late checkout was agreed so that I could work from my room until 1pm. The housekeeper was delightful and very attentive to our needs. The only downside was a smell of a potentially illicit type of cigarette smoke and on the last night regular cigarette smoke which filtered into the room. Guests not adhering to the no smoking rules no doubt. Not the hotels fault at all. Some of the guests looked as though they may have been placed there through social housing which only disturbed us when an argument broke out. Again nobody’s fault (apart from the government/ state of the country), it’s just the way it is. All in all, the hotel itself was a little tired and needed some TLC but for the room rate, adequately met our needs & it is right on the seafront too which was lovely.
• Emmanuel (10/5): - Marine Parade Hotel is my go to Hotel whenever I’m in Eastbourne. The rooms are always clean and well presented. There’s always complimentary items like toothbrushes and paste, bottled water and the usual clean towels, teas bags, coffee etc. This shows that thoughts went into the management. However, the best of Oyo marine parade hotel is there staff. They are welcoming, considerate and professional. Both floor staff and their remote helpline are considerate, and quick in resolving any issues I had. I will come back here definitely.

• SHammond13 (10/5): Value for money - We werent expecting the greatest for wat we paid 39£ the 1st night for a triple room on check in staff in particular Atta was very pleasant helpful and friendly. This is a very basic hotel we found it to be very clean we even stripped the beds before left and was surprised how clean the matresses were we knew hot water took a while to come through but was little too hot for younger guest to shower but was no real issue plenty of tea and coffee i asked if they had a hairdryer and within 10mins they bought one to our room i think they are trying hard and although the standard of decorating isnt the greatest it wAs acceptable your not at the ritz and not paying ritz prices!!! The main receptionist Atta really makes this hotel more comfortable chatted to us several times he is an assett to this company as myself and my daughter worked in hotels he asked for ideas wat could make it better we gave him few ideas but overall was worth the money and we had an enjoyable stay Thanku Atta your doing an amazing job !!
• PUI YEE LATONIA (6/5): - Take some time to wait for hot water, sometimes even no water maybe a lot of guest taking shower at the same time, sometimes water is too hot sometimes is completely cold, it is hard to control. Also, the toilet is a bit cold, my room is 31 on 3rd floor. But the Reception staff is very kind and friendly.
• J (6/5): hotel.com v's OYO - I'm not knocking the place at all for the price we paid. But booking through hotel.com / OYO has its problems the booking wasn't passed on the the hotel so it took a while to confirm the booking could have been a problem if they were full... staff was very courteous.
• Daz (2/5): Horrible experience - I booked a treble room for myself and my daughters, as a birthday night out, I checked in at 5pm Sat 3rd by myself, as was told the hot water would take 5-10 minutes to come through, It didn't even get warm in the 15 hours I spent there, The bed was so uncomfortable, could feel every spring, And as of the (Bathroom) Disgusting, the toilet looks like it has never seen bleach, Awful, And so noisy, I hardly slept, And decided to leave at 8am Sunday 4th,i felt dirty and had to make alternative accommodation as I was not prepared to have my daughters stay, £106 wasted.
• caroldegerlund2010 (2/5): Hostel not hotel. Xpedia need to be accurate in their description - Since our stay I have read quite a few reviews. I cannot believe those visitors that have given ratings higher than a 2/10. How can ratings be given as 10/10!clearly not genuine! Yes it’s a budget hotel but honestly should be listed as a hostel. One review commented on nasty smell in foyer. The window was open the whole time we were there and it was a cold day. When we arrived my partner pulled into the car park at the back of the hotel. I took one look at the back of the property and said I’m Not staying here. My partner went in. The reception guy couldn’t find our booking was asked to give him 10 minutes. I then went back he had found booking. Meanwhile we contacted Expedia but they would not give us a refund. I asked to look at the room. The carpets on staircases are dirty and worn. I’m sure I could smell cigarette smoke. I looked at room and thought only one night no refund will stay. We were going to a party so I wanted a shower. My partner had to put a towel up at the bathroom window as only the top of the window had frosted glass in it. We managed to secure it with two toilet rolls. The room was cold. Only had a small electric heater on wall. The window glass was thin and rattled in the wind and curtain was moving. The base of the bed needed a good clean and the headboard material was split in two places. We in fact put a towel over the headboard as didn’t want our heads touching it! The toilet needed bleach in it. Wasn’t clean Yes there were two members of staff both very polite and accommodating going out their way to help us with a cab and ask if everything was ok. Expedia needs to be accurate in their hotel listing and we felt it totally wrong that they refused a refund. It’s a sort of hotel that homeless people on benefit would choose. Never again

• YAHWEHTRIP (8/5): A CLOSE SEA VIEW with room improvements and very helpful staff for a budget hotel - I did not want to return to this Hotel as the reviews are correct about a lot of issues and there is still room for a lot of improvement as my last review reflected this. However, upon my return in late December, the contrast to my recent extremely appalling experience with a 'Big Name Hotel Chain' has a lot to be said. This is a budget Hotel where staff were helpful and welcoming from the moment I stepped in the door. They gave me and my partner bottles of water (which I needed due to a dry mouth from making complaints in other Hotels!) and the staff took my suitcases and bags from me to take up to my room! One rarely gets this treatment anywhere unless you are paying for the service! It is very important to be made to feel welcomed as I have learned. There is also a lift (which works) and that helps as well. The towels are much bigger and good quality (last time they were a bit too thread bare for my liking.) There were bottles of water and chocolates on the side to welcome us. That extra touch makes a big difference. I have been in this room before and even though there is still a drain pipe smell and the hot water is either scolding hot or cold, I cannot complain. (I prefer a bath but there wasn't a room available with a bath at that time.) The room has a CLOSE up view of the sea and the Pier and the added luxury of being able to watch YouTube and other channels on the TV is also a BONUS. Also, there is a toaster and microwave downstairs which I am allowed to use. This budget Hotel puts some of the big name Hotels to shame. The security pad on the door needs fixing but staff were there to open the door thankfully.
• F5861YCjamese (4/5): Not great back to the drawing board - Last option really another hotel wanted £70 a night for single occupancy no chance so ended up at Marine parade got quoted £40 a night the reception area is awful and depressing you would think that's the main priority get that sorted it's first impressions the guy running it said do you want to look at the room yes please I said so went up in the lift not a bad room it looked clean nice fresh towels on the bed so back down the lift to pay the money and check in room wasn't serviced once while I stayed there they only make the room up when you leave for the next guest the shower is luke warm you can just about get under it I needed to do some washing at the launderette so thought I would strip the bed absolutely appalling stains on the duvet and the pillows were shocking blood stains on them they should off been thrown away no breakfast it's alright for people on a night out or people who haven't got a roof over the head got the impression homeless people go there when they get there benefits and have a couple of nights not worth £40 a night more like £25
• Philip (4/5): Avoid - Staff were difficult about allowing checkin on a prepaid stay from one town over insisting on photo id that wasn't a term of booking. The room itself was cold and didn't even have toilet paper.
• Kay (2/5): - Mouldy wet thin walls could hear everything more like a hostel then a hotel could hear arguments people screaming outside if i had somewhere else to go i would have i went to relax after a head injury which has forced me to stop work for the time being definitely wasn't relaxing
• Simon (6/5): - Arrived on a Friday for a 2 night stay, so as it was a weekend I expected some noise from other rooms, and was not surprised when I got woken up at 4.17 on the sat morning by the 2 girls next to us coming back shouting and swearing, this went on till about 5ish. Apart from that it was what I expected for the price I paid, not the best but not the worst either, we just used it basically as somewhere to sleep (when able to).

• SueCon2 (2/5): Disgusting Place To Stay Last Resort - Don't stay here if you like a HOT shower, the reception told me the pipework is old and the water struggles to get above first floor when hotel is full, I was on 3rd floor for 2 nights, after first night, I'd not had a shower, there was no hair drier in room either, I was offered a room one floor below, but I had already been told the water struggles to get above first floor. I was feeling cold and dirty and decided to leave, they didn't give me a refund because I'd been offered another sub standard room, confirmed by the man on reception, only first floor gets hot water. The hair drier became available because someone had left.. terrible hotel like all the reviews on here, they'll take your money and offer you rubbish rooms. I'll never stay in their hotel again.
• Tracey (4/5): - The only good thing about our room was the view and the bed was comfy, although it was on a slope!! Toilet seat hanging off, decor wasnt great, windows in needs of replacing or fixing!!!.

No hot water in shower but was in sink,despite running for over 10 minutes on two occasions.,not very clean on the lower shower tiles.And only supplied small hand towels asked for a larger one but didnt receive it. Noisy ,pub next door and people in and out all night . main door being left open despite keypad. It needs a self closing door. Dirty stained mattress and worst of all two bugs in bed !
• Lord (2/5): - On arrival the guy on reception was simply stank. Whilst he was pleasant enough he clearly had not had a shower for weeks. The smell was so strong that it filled the air in reception. The building is in a poor state of repair the shower eitrher freezing or red hot. In simple terms this place is not bad it is disgusting.
• Dawn (8/5): Great hotel for the price - Nice basic hotel, comfortable and clean, excellent location, wifi. Kettle in the room with tea/coffee / biscuits was a bonus. Difficult to find! Small sign on a small frontage, nothing like the picture. Not being able to speak to a human being beforehand meant that I could not find out where to park beforehand.

• Verified traveler (4/5): - After arriving at the hotel and going out for dinner when we arrived back and started the shower there was no hot water. Again in the morning when we woke up we left the shower running for around 25mins and still no hot water. We stayed Friday to Sunday with no hot water in the shower. There also was no one at the front desk in the morning or at night to discuss this with which meant it could not be rectified. We also had a child with us staying and couldn’t even have a basic shower. After trying to contact the property we have had no response. Unfortunately a disappointing stay.
