- Jayne (10/5): Fabulous room. - I was greeted by Mark who showed me to my room. He was very helpful and friendly. The room was lovely. It had power points near the bed, a microwave, a fridge, tea and coffee making facilities with plenty of milk. There was a large flat screen tv and the bed was very comfortable. I also had an en suite. It was just perfect for me and I slept well. I would definitely stay here again. Nothing.

Mike excellent staff member who went the extra mile. - The room was self-contained as an en-suite, Microwave, fridge, kettle, cutlery, coffee, tea, milk sugar and cup and glass. Very clean towels. Shower had power and was clean. Room was very hot due to heatwave, although there was a fan. Outside of control of environment.

- Brian (5/5): Passable but would rather stay at home and get a better nights sleep and risk a longer drive to the airport and save mon - Location to Heatrow airport only 20 minutes drive Uncomfortable lumpy mattress where the springs are gone on the bed that really should be changed. Mouldy grout to the shower cubicle especially around the tray and toilet seat lining flaking off. As it’s an older house property there is no soundproofing so you can here everything from other rooms especially someone walking around at night hove your room.
- Stephen (8/5): Very good - The staff running Sussex Lodge is perlite and helpful there is a kichen you can use and a shop up the road the town centre is about 15min walk All I can say is the rooms need updating but thay was painting a couple of the rooms when I was there and the shower needs looking at as not much power and could do with some hooks in bathroom and bedroom

- Penelope (1/5): Bad - Good off street parking. The room was filthy. Every wall had dirt and stains on them. The radiater grill disgusting. Iron burn mark on the carpet with many other stains/marks. The bathroom was filthy, every tile had dirt on them. The toilet roll holder broken. To top it off when you flushed the toilet it came up into the shower!! Its cheap to stay but cleanliness is not a dirty word and no exscuse not to clean a room correctly. The bed was uncomfortable, the room was boiling as I was put in the top room. Lastly it was a death/ Fire trap. There was a door in the wallwhich did have intumescent strips but the door would not close, behind the door was a void of the orginal room with sockets, wores etc. Had there been a fire in my room or the one next to me or below it would possibly be deadly!

The location (20 minutes from Heathrow) was perfect and the overall facilities and size of room most certainly exceeded expectations. Room 3 in the second house would be the one we would opt for when making further bookings because it was perfect in every way. The gentleman we met on arrival was extremely courteous and helpful. The chap who let's you in is a wonderful guy and cares about your welcome, getting into the rooms without difficulty, and keeps in touch so you know what you're doing. Never let him go! The bed was awful. Mattress was so work I could feel the slats under the mattress. One of the worst night's I've ever had. Why can't hotels/inns/guest houses etc. have good mattresses? I don't care about decor, get the bed right please. I won't be back unless the mattresses are upgraded. You can get a good one for £300, You'll make your money back on it quickly.

- David (8/5): Unexpected treasure which gave incredible value for the modest price - The host was extremely accommodating and provided for my additional needs (I have a disability). The room was spacious and well equipped. Although the large residential property is not modern it was well maintained, clean and the efforts of our host to ensure a pleasant stay were really appreciated. This establishment is on a busy road and although there was no noise from traffic, it can be difficult to turn into the drive in rush hour.

- Pamela (10/5): Thank you for a stress free overnight stay! - We just had the use of the room,including tea and coffee, but we were greeted warmly, and assisted with all questions on directions, and the free parking and free wifi are an absolute bonus! Mark put himself out to try and allow us time to arrive without worrying and you can certainly expect to see us back again! Also Heathrow airport Terminal 5, was only a 20 minute drive away. There was nothing not to like! Highly recommended!! There was nothing we didn't like! It was friendly, clean, private and superb value for money! There is a fabulous shower, towels and toiletries! It is excellent!
