Wouldn’t recommend for the elderly or people that aren’t mobile. Needs a bath mat as the bath is slippery to get in and out

I am sending this letter to you with the understanding that you will forward it to the Chalelarn Hotel, Hua Hin. We booked into the Chalelarn Hotel on the 20th of January for 1 month. My partner and I are in our late 70s and having many friends in Hua Hin we only expected to use the Hotel as somewhere to sleep. Please find the complaints regarding the Hotel below: 1. Potentially dangerous large nail sticking out of the wall and long term dirty wooden artefacts. 2. Signs of water damage above window and the upper corner of the bedroom including bubbling paint. 3. Sticker above toilet telling users to put used toilet paper in the bin. 4. Water gushing out of the controls of the shower. 5. Unsafe wiring (outer door on the electric box missing). 6. Amateur repairs with different coloured and incomplete grout in the shower. 7. Dangerous floor requiring to be replaced into the shower room 8. Unsafe glass shelf and attempted repair to glass, behind the bed head. 9. Dirty artefacts on the shelf above the tea making facilities. 10. Unfilled drill holes in shower room where the toilet roll holder used to be and no toilet roll holder. 11. Stains inside the unsteady fridge Inside of the fridge, after I had cleaned it. 12. Poorly installed light fitting. 13. Cold water system only. In addition the basin in the shower room was chipped. On the positive side, the bed was clean and comfortable, and the staff were very pleasant. Never in all our years of travel have we encountered such a poorly managed hotel. We expected a Clean and Safe room to stay in, surely not too much to expect. We decided that the standard of the hotel w

Staff were all very friendly and always greeted me with a smile . Spacious rooms and very clean . There was no breakfast on site but plenty of places nearby to eat so not a big deal

- Mark Herron (8/5): Location location! - Well located in the centre of town and within walking distance to the beach. I liked the character of this hotel, enjoyed the spacious room, which had views from the balcony. It also has a rooftop pool. The staff were very attentive and friendly. I would book here again. The lobby area was susceptible to cigarette smoke with side doors opening up to a seating area. The room had a kettle but no tea or coffee, although it was available of a morning with seating near the lobby.

- Jozef (5/5): Matig verblijf. - De ligging is goed. Op loopafstand van de nightmarket en strand. Mooi zwembad. Tot 11.00 uur kun je koffie en koekjes krijgen. Ik boekte twee nachten bij via Booking.com. Rechtstreeks was veel duurder. De mevrouw van het hotel adviseerde dat zelfs. En beloofde dat we op dezelfde kamer konden blijven. Helaas troffen we de volgende ochtend het slimste jongetje van het hotel die vond dat we flink moesten betalen en gaf ons een andere kamer. Dus opnieuw uitchecken en inchecken. Volstrekt overbodig allemaal. Onze oude kamer bleef leeg. De airconditioning in de nieuwe kamer maakte veel herrie. Alsof een vliegtuig opsteeg. Bij het douchen in bad zonder afscheiding werd de badkamer volledig nat.

- Gordon (9/5): Great location. Nice budget place to stay. - Great location. The hotel is amongst night markets, cafes, casual restaurants, massage places and across the road from a 7-eleven. Very walkable to the beach (5-10 minutes) where another array of restaurants, bars, and retail options reside. The roof top pool was great. But there was no swim-up bar despite there are pool stools around a bar-like area! Also if there could be more shade in the roof top area then it would have fantastic.

- Mark Herron (8/5): Location location! - A centrally located, older-style hotel with character. You can walk to various cafe's and restaurants and the beach isn't too far away. The spacious room has a small balcony, and a comfortable bed, and the shower in the bathroom was good. There is a rooftop pool as well, if a little on the small side. The staff were attentive and friendly. This hotel doesn't have dining facilities. There is free coffee of a morning in the reception area, along with biscuits, which meant I was guilty of eating what I normally wouldn't! While the room itself has cups and a kettle it stops there! Not a teabag in sight! Having said that, I enjoyed my stay!

- Aitch (9/5): A pleasant stay I would use this hotel again. - I enjoyed the old world charm of this hotel, it was a lovely place to stay. Staff were friendly and helpful. Tea and coffee facilities were available with biscuits in the morning and bottled water was provided every day. There were places nearby to eat and also street food across the road in the evening. It is well within walking distance to the nightlife and the beach. There was a rooftop pool which looked nice though I didn't use it. Nothing, It was fine.

- Henry (9/5): Prima hotel, waar voor je geld - Het hotel ligt vlak bij het centrum, een ook de zee is vlak bij. Personeel is vriendelijk. Wifi in orde behalve bij het zwembad op het dak. De tussendeur naar een andere kamer is niet geluid dicht, bij rumoerige buren is er geluidsoverlast. Je kunt er scooters huren. Geen ontbijtservice, geen was service. Tegen over het hotel zit de 7 eleven, dat kun je een ontbijt scoren, of gewoon bij een eetstalletje if een restaurant elders. Jammer dat de wifi slechts drie device ondersteunt.

- viva paris (10/5): - Spacious hotel suite with a superb jacuzzi. Excellent reception, spotless rooms. Free coffee, tea, and cream in the morning. Great location. Excellent restaurant. Manicure and pedicure (1 hour, 450 baht). Hairdresser/blow-dry (300 baht). Street food near the hotel parking lot (300 baht for two). Massage (300 baht). All this is right next to the hotel. I highly recommend it, especially the rooms with the huge jacuzzi for two people.

Wenn jemand nach Hua Hin gehen möchte und Zentrala - 5 min zu Fuss zum Night Market, 5 min zu Fuss zum Night Life und rund ums Hotel hat es unzählige Restaurants, Massage Studios, 15-20 min zu Fuss zum Market Village mit TikTok Baht 150. Die Stufe ins Bad, Balkon der gar keiner war. Pool auf dem Dach war eher klein aber soweit gut.

Den var svært liten! Hadde nok ikke fått plass til en krakk på den😏 Gikk fint at to personer kunne stå ute der, men å kalle det balkong er å overdrive 🙁

- john (9/5): - I have stayed here three times now, in the ocean view jacuzzi suites. The rooms have windows on three sides which provides a nice ocean view and city view. There is a 7-11 directly across the street and street vendors everywhere. It is only a couple of blocks from the night market.

The hotel also had a rooftop pool that was wonderful for a morning swim. The staff were very nice and competently helpful. No breakfast. But there were lots of great places to go close by.

- Robert (8/5): - Hotel in a good place. Staff were great went out of their way to help with anything so lovely. Fab little thai laundry across at back door looked after my laundry for a good price. Would come back in a heart beat. Nothing had a good time.
