- Corina (10/5): Perfect Cusco Stay - This was the best stay in a very long trip. The staff is so kind and helpful; they were friendly when we checked in pretty late after a flight delay, checked in and made recommendations when my husband felt sick, and helped us move into a different room when we needed to extend our room at the last minute. Spotless, quiet, delicious breakfast, and incredible location in San Blas. If you're staying in Cusco I can recommend this hotel enough!
- Francheska (8/5): -
- Isabelle (10/5): -
- Sarah (5/5): - Location is fantastic.
Breakfast was nice and different each day. The mattress was very hard and uncomfortable. The court yard where the majority of the rooms are is very noisy due to people leaving early from 3am for planned trip’s.
No Netflix, just the news, stayed in many hotels at this price range ( even cheaper ) in San Blas due to traveling back and forth and they all have this option. Felt it was dated here.
Please note - where it offers a shuttle bus to the airport, YOU PAY for this where the other hotels in this area do this as part of the service with no charge.

- colindT1674BF (10/5): Great place to stay. - Awesome place to stay. Every thing you need is within walking distance. Staff is super friendly and helpful, rooms are very clean and made up daily. Very quiet except for the weekends when the fireworks are in full swing. Got used to it though. Very good value for what you get. Would definitely stay there again.
- Airidas (9/5): Solid value stay - Helpful staff, breakfast was alright/good, rooms are slightly cold but they provide heaters. No complaints. Hotel is placed on steeper side of the city, but thats just Cusco in general.
- CANADA-Anita (10/5): Lovely boutique hotel - This is lovely little boutique hotel in the original part of Cusco. It has plenty of hot water and a heater for the dampness, which is really appreciated especially on a rainy cloudy day. There are two small outdoor court yards for outside sitting. The breakfast is fresh fruit and some hot choices. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Really enjoyed the hotel and the location.

- Peter (10/5): A great conversion of an old historic building, excellent staff, location ideal close to main square and main attraction - Another great conversion by Tierra Viva Cusco San Blas. We were told it was previously an old monastery and the conversion has been done with taste and creativity
Good location, close to main square and many restaurants , bars and main attractions. Good price for a superior product. Nothing
- Jellie38 (10/5): family Peru trip - We stayed at this hotel over new years. The location was in a nice area and the hotel was clean. The breakfast was standard. We left early for an excursion and the hotel was gracious enough to make us travel breakfast bags. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend.
- Daniel (10/5): - Amazing staff
- Martin (9/5): A very nice stay in quiet time before Christmas - Friendly staff, very quiet, good breakfast, large room, nice building and courtyards, good location in San Blas short walk downhill to plaza.
- Yulia (10/5): The most beautiful hotel from all our trip in Peru! - The hotel is very well located, the room was spacious, clean and warm (thanks to heater!). Room looked exactly as the photos I’ve asked for a king bed and the mattress was too soft, so my back hurts

- antoniorH8131UM (10/5): Quality hotel in Cusco - Very good location and quiet hotel. Staff are attentive and helpful. The rooms are spacious and very comfortable. There’s a courtyard area for relaxing and conversation.

- kathybN9238AD (8/5): Trip to Peru - The hotel in Lima we have some complaints. We found there wasn't enough hot water for showers. One evening we got a call from someone telling us that our pickup changed because of the train issue and that we being picked up at 4am. The front desk called too. We got up at 3am and checked out Sat in the front desk area for a while. Only to find out they had mixed us up. No apology for any of it, or acknowledge their mistakes. We did get to go back to the room however it was hard to get any rest. Breakfast was good. Rooms were comfortable . The step to the bathroom at the Lima hotel is dangerous for people with leg issues. The issue to get to and from the hotel in Lima. We had to walk several blocks away which is difficult for me who has walking issues and asthma . The bus should be able to come straight to the hotel in Lima.
- helenwU1810XD (10/5): Cusco - Great location in a beautiful building, helpful staff and nice breakfast. There is a small lawned area as well as the courtyard to relax in.
- Adam (10/5): - This hotel was exactly what we needed. Staff was friendly, rooms were nice and clean, and the water pressure was great. Best shower we had our entire time in Peru.
- David (10/5): - Beautiful hotel in San Blas area. Staff super friendly with excellent service. Breakfast had everything I wanted with good quality. Recommend!
- VANDERLEY M (10/5): - Nice, simple, hotel, relatively well located.
Super staff.
Breakfast is basic.
- Elisa (10/5): Great place to stay - Large room, clean, and great staff
- Babette (10/5): - Very kind staff! The room was clean and comfortable. San Blas is also a nice location.
- deniselL6283FX (10/5): Great place! Highly recommend. - Very cute, clean and friendly place to stay in the heart of San Blas. I highly recommend. Walking distance to Cusco Plaza with lots of great restaurants along the way. The breakfast at the hotel was awesome! The staff went of their way to ensure our visit was pleasant. Even located my phone charger and set aside for me to pick up.
- YleniaItaly (10/5): Perfect traditional base for exploring Peru - My sister and I had a wonderful stay at Tierra Viva Cusco San Blas, which we used as our base while traveling around Peru. Each time we returned, we requested the same twin room, which was spacious, spotless, and equipped with everything we needed. We loved the traditional atmosphere of both the rooms and the building.
We especially appreciated the hotel’s eco-friendly touches, such as glass bottles of water in the room instead of plastic and refillable shampoo and body soap dispensers in the shower. Breakfast was great as well. As vegans, we were very happy with the variety: plenty of cereal, bread, olives, plant-based milk, and much more.
The location couldn’t be better, just a minute’s walk from Plazoleta San Blas and about five minutes from Plaza de Armas. Another important highlight for us was the variety of vegan restaurants nearby.
The hotel was very quiet, and we enjoyed relaxing in the patio and cozy garden, reading on the deck chairs while taking in the beautiful view. The staff were consistently kind and helpful, and it was extremely convenient to be able to store our luggage for free while we were away on trips.
The only downside was that late check-out wasn’t possible. Because our flight left in the evening, we had to pay for an extra night (we asked for a discount, but it was refused) to keep the room until 5 PM, which was a bit disappointing. Still, the overall value is very good for what the hotel offers.
We would definitely recommend this place!

- 440fernandal (10/5): Home away from home. - I love this hotel! Every time I visits Cusco this is my home away from home.
The staff is very friendly and helpful, rooms and common areas are great and cozy. Love the patio!
San Blas is, in my opinion, the best place to stay in Cusco.
- Andrey (10/5): - I like this hotel very much. It’s quite and comfortable.
- Patricia (10/5): Wonderful hotel with excellent staff! - Wonderful hotel in San Blas neighborhood. All the staff were helpful and friendly and kind. At the end of a long day exploring surrounding Sacred Valley sites, it was fantastic to get back to our rooms and have a hot shower and a very comfortable bed.
We liked that there was always a variety of hot food for breakfast as well as staples like bread and scrambled eggs. The chef was always making sure food was fresh and not sitting around for hours.
- Jose (10/5): - From the moment you step foot in the foyer, the exceptional service makes you feel right at home, and our experience couldn't have been better. Carmen has our deepest gratitude for the exceptional service she provided. For an experience you will never forget, this is the spot to go. We look forward to returning soon to continue creating such memorable moments. Best regards, Jose Arnaldo Duran.
- jimrC3110WQ (10/5): Great Hotel Staffed by Great People - Can’t speak highly enough. Rooms were clean and well appointed and breakfast excellent. Hotel centrally located to historic plaza. The staff were exceptionally friendly and accommodating, and proactively checked on our experience and needs. We check in and out and back in several times during our trip, and the staff anticipated that with no hiccups. If we return to Peru there’s no question that we will be staying at Tierra Viva.
- Guillermo (9/5): - Muy buena ubicación, bonito lugar y amabilidad del personal.
- Santiago (9/5): Maravilloso! - Excelente!

- karla (10/5): Espectacular - Es precioso colonial Todo me gustó
- Sarah (10/5): - Loved the entire thing.
- Sean (8/5): Solid choice in great location - Great location, helpful staff, spacious room and bathroom, good shower pressure, comfortable bed, good breakfast, unlimited coca and mint tea Courtyard facing room meant hearing noise from staff and other guests starting between 6 and 7am, bathroom ventilation could have been better, supplied electric heater kept room warm at night, but dried out the air.
- DavidandLee (10/5): Very welcoming - Very friendly and helpful staff, good location, authentic older architecture and ample breakfast. In addition, coca and mint teas were available 24/7.
- Excursion21771486028 (10/5): Great stay! - It was a very comfortable stay and the location was good. The staff was super friendly and cooperative. Would definitely recommend it.
- Ankul (10/5): - Great spot right in the center city. The amenities and ambience is good and the staff was super helpful.
- chrisgM8368GO (10/5): Two city visit - Tierra Viva was great. We stayed in this hotel both in Lima and Cusco and were equally pleased. Good locations, great shower and bed, and friendly, hospitable staff.
- Kate (10/5): - Loved staying here! Amazing breakfast and the staff were great!
- Claire (8/5): Very good -
- Claire (8/5): Very good -
- Rick (8/5): Great location and great staff. - The staff were great and helpful. We chose this Tierra Viva for the location. The breakfasts were good though the hot food wasn't always hot.
The heating and windows could be upgraded. It was hard to keep the rooms warm.
- H8188JOelisas (10/5): Comfortable 2 night - We only stayed 2 nights but it was a comfortable stay, aside from 1 mosquito we did find the first night and luckily eliminated. We had a corner room that was very big and clean. The only slight issue was the tub can be slippery when showering and we had to be very careful climbing out of it as well. But overall was a nice stay and breakfast was ok. There wasn't always someone cleaning the tables but there were enough free tables when we were there.
- Max (10/5): Exceptional - Warm, nice and clean. Very friendly and helpful staff.
- Maps790755 (8/5): Hotel with lovely personal touches - Really lovely welcome from the Tierra Viva team. The San Blas hotel is only a few minutes walk from the old Plaza.
Room was small, but super comfortable beds.
Very thoughtful touches with the small chocolate on the pillow each night, the bottled water bottles and cookie!
Breakfast was basic, but fine.
Great hotel to base yourself in Cucso for a few nights
- alishasG279VF (10/5): Great hospitality, great location - This boutique hotel is set in a nice location to stay in, off the main sights but walking distance, with two little interior patios / lawn and we got a room that had a juliet balcony onto the street. The daily breakfast buffet was good and the reception are had 24/7 coca leaves and hot water. The day we had a 3am pickup, they made us a breakfast to go bag. They also organized a cab for us to take to the airport. Reception is staffed 24/7 and the workers are very friendly and try to help where they can. I would def recommend this hotel!
- Mariela (10/5): - The room was cozy and comfortable. The staff were nice and always attentive. I felt safe as a female solo traveler, would definitely recommend.
- Rosanna (10/5): Exceptional -
- Alisha (10/5): Great stay in a walkable location with a great staff! - Small boutique hotel in a great location, quiet side street but close to walk to the main square. About 15-18min walk to the train station from which you can get to Perurail. We got a great room with a little Juliet balcony view from which we could see the mountain range.
Staff was super helpful and friendly even gave us a 3am breakfast snack box for an early tour we had.
- Sasha (10/5): - Fantastic! Ive been to 9 countries and stayed in different places, but the outstanding service & care received here was unmatched! Alexander & Carmen were great!
- Carol (8/5): all good except for having to pay for the extra room that I tried to cancel. - accomodations were comfortable and clean the website (through booking.com) was way too difficult for me to figure out. I was unable to cancel an extra room and had to pay for it. I tried to cancel before I left home but couldn't figure out the website. When I arrived in Cusco, The front-desk person told me I had to cancel on-line, not through him. This did not work out because I did not have a computer with me. And anyway the website of booking.com was very complicated. I think it would be good if you
would allow the front desk person to manage cancellations.
- James (10/5): Great location, best shower - Great location, very walkable to historic center, restaurants & markets.
Best shower I’ve had in South America.
- R7691IAscottm (10/5): Great Location in Cuzco. - Tierra Viva San Blas is an outstanding hotel, with a great location in San Blas just a few blocks from the main square and all the best restaurants. The rooms were comfortable and warm, great bathroom with plenty of hot water. The breakfast buffet was delicious, and the staff were friendly and helpful.
- Clintnbecca123 (10/5): Best choice for a stay in Cusco - Tierra Viva San Blas was the best choice for our visit to Cusco. We spent 3 nights at the hotel, hiked the 4 day/3 night Inca Trail, then returned to the hotel for two additional nights. They were incredibly accommodating. The rooms were clean and beds were heavenly. Very fun set up with an open court yard and a back lawn area you can relax in after a long day of site seeing or exploring. The best location! Close to the city center, you can walk to multiple restaurants, shopping, and easily take a taxi to nearby Saqsaywaman. The hotel helped book taxis to and from the airport, the breakfast was tasty and with tons of options. The staff were so friendly and helped us in every way we requested. Decor was so authentic and fun. We will return again!
- K2376QWjessicad (10/5): Very cute hotel in a very cute neighborhood - Clean and well organized property in a great location in San Blas! The room was a good size for one or two travelers, it was clean and comfortable, with a nice bathroom and very comfortable bed. Tasteful decor. The staff was so nice and accommodating. The free breakfast was a bonus with fresh tropical fruit, breads and always an egg dish. Would stay here again.
- Wander02265552567 (10/5): Lovely personnel and great place make this an excellent lodging option in Cusco - Great hotel, great location, great facilities and best of all, fantastic personnel taking care if guests. Upon our arrival, even though still not check in time we- two couples- were given one of out two rooms. Not common practice nowadays anywhere. Then, at checkin time our room was still not ready, front desk personnel gave us the key for another available room to freshen up until our room was ready. Upon arrival at night after a fantastic sightseeing tour, we were greeted by a basket with fruit and an apology letter! Wow! We loved it…
- JJSHigham (8/5): Nice hotel - A pleasant hotel. It is well situated in Cusco in a quiet area. The rooms are cool and have all the facilities needed. There are two nice courtyards and there is a decent breakfast which can be cooked to order. The hotel has helpful and friendly staff.
- MichelleJ650 (10/5): Great boutique hotel in a wonderful location - This was a beautiful hotel, small and complete in every way. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the room was clean and wonderfully refreshing after a long day of trekking. The breakfast was nice and best of all the hotel was quiet so we got a good nights sleep!
- Shaun (10/5): - Excellent stay. Very well-run hotel with attentive staff and a fantastic breakfast. Great WiFi. The shower was Heaven.
- audrius (10/5): - Awesome, close to the heart of Cusco
- Jennifer (10/5): Beautiful hotel, amazing service! - Excellent service, great breakfast, beautiful room. Loved everything - the entire experience was amazing!
