Guest Reviews
- Dale (4/5): - 2 in all categories. Place smelled like animal urine.Bed was comfortable and great area though.
- Maryann (8/5): - The backyard with a deck was amazing…so beautiful and quiet. Just wonderful to have dinner out there!
I did not know pets were welcome and so the two huge dogs next to us surprised and scared me. I need to read all the small print!
- Alexandra (6/5): - This spot has a great location and is very walkable to the ocean or downtown. However, it was not very clean. Specially, the bed seemed to not have been washed. It has long black hair and dirt in it. The place also has no sound proofing and you will hear everything going on next to you. I was in suite 1 and got woken up every time someone opened the door. The staff were great and super friendly though!
- Sinead (2/5): - The organization and communication with this property is horrible! It is so unfortunate because we were so looking forward to our stay. We confirmed two weeks in advance our check in time and fast forward to many calls, emails, and follow ups, we arrive at our check in time to someone actively cleaning our room and had to wait outside for 30 minutes. To make matters even worse, they provided us the wrong code for our room and did not apologize for this confusion. All around horrible communication and truly so sad because we would have had a wonderful stay if the check in had gone smoothly.
- stefanie (10/5): Tokio getaway Victoria - the bed was not comfortable and every movement was very loud otherwise the Tokio Suite was beautiful and close to walking distance for the harbor . enjoyed our stay , we would book again if the change the bed
- Ian (8/5): It’s a must stay at place! - Amazing location. The staff where we checked in were helpful. The suite was roomy and well appointed and we would definitely go back. Supermarket was a easy walk as was the buses.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Good comfy space close to downtown and the water. Nice quite neighbourhood.
- Carl (6/5): - Great location. The spare fold out cot is very uncomfortable though. A larger TV and more seating in the living room/bedroom area would be nice.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Heritage home in a great neighbourhood. Easy walking distance to downtown and all the restaurants.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Quiet neighborhood - Although we loved the place, they should invest in some better pillows.
- Frances (2/5): - Got to our accommodation and they told us that we didn't have a room. Stressed and nowhere to stay spoke to a manager on the phone. They said they could give me a room for 1 night when I needed accommodation for 3 nights. I said maybe but I'd check out another hotel. They have charged me over $150 for a room for 1 night I didn't use. Sickening, never again.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Good thing we read the fine print about checking in being at a different location. Otherwise, all good.
- Shane (8/5): Clean - Very nice staff, clean. Good location. Competitive pricing.
- Chillius (8/5): Satisfied - Convineince location
Clean house
- Verified traveler (6/5): Great location - Nice neighbourhood, walking distance to downtown Victoria.
- David (10/5): Excellent experience - Surprisingly very nice. I wasn't expecting much because I paid so little for my stay, but it was excellent.
- Jane (10/5): Relaxed atmosphere, wonderful for dogs. - The physical facilities are not fancy or up to date, but suite 3 is on our priority list on our return. Close to Dallas Road dog run as well as nearby amenities. Our favorite part was the back yard for our pooches. Paper towels and tissues were provided ( unusual in other suites). We appreciated the focus on recycling, there are containers for waste, recycling and vegetable scraps.
This is in a lovely quiet neighborhood where we felt safe.
We really enjoyed our stay here and plan to return on future visits to the island.
- Lauren (6/5): Nice quiet location - thin walls - The rooms are sized well and comfortable enough. It's in a quiet suburban area. The only issues was the noise from other rooms. The walls seemed very thin so you could hear all movement and conversation next door.
- Bridget (8/5): Not really a hotel - It was a comfortable apartment in a quiet residential neighborhood, within easy walking distance of the harbor and other popular spots. However, I would call it a vacation rental and not a hotel. Check in is at a hostel some distance away. At the suites, there is no hotel staff. The place was very clean on our arrival, but there was no housekeeping service during our stay. We learned that if we wanted housekeeping, we had to sign up for it 24 hours in advance and pay $20 extra.
The place was very spacious for a studio apartment. The kitchen was exceptionally well-equipped. However, the eating area wasn't great-- a counter with uncomfortable stools. The bed was good. The bedside lamps were useless for reading--tiny bulbs, probably under 20 watts. There was a nice garden. So, all in all pretty good, but a little expensive for a place with no services.
- Barbara (8/5): Spacious unit in a wonderful neighbourhood - Enjoyed staying in this neighbourhood, close to everything yet quiet. The unit was spacious with a full kitchen. Would recommend.
