- Tieske_00 (8/5): Good option near the airport - We enjoyed our stay at Hotel Romerito. We arrived in the evening and received a very warm welcome. The location so close to the airport is perfect, which is why we booked. The room was smaller than average and basic, but clean. The shower was very comfortable with good water pressure. The airconditioning functioned well, but was also noisy. Bed was fine. We had a good night's sleep here. We did not have breakfast, so nothing we can say about that. What we loved very much about this hotel was the restaurant. You can sit outside in the courtyard until late (23.00) and it is nicely decorated. Friendly staff there as well and good atmosphere. The food is basic and not super fresh, but it is just what you need after a day of traveling. Although the restaurant is independent from the hotel, that should be noted. Roadside parking was a little scary. We arrived in the dark with our rental car and were not sure if it was sketchy or not, but nothing happened, all was good.
- JoF239 (10/5): Absolute Gem of a place for a stop over. - Authentic Gem of a place Ignore the bad reviews. This is an absolute gem at an incredible price. The staff are warm, friendly & welcoming. We used as a stopover after a flight in from the UK & we arrived later than planned. Jesus & his team were so accommodating as were the restaurant staff both evening & morning. Entrecôte steak was superb as was the entrees. Far,far better than any corporate airport faceless hotel. Rooms are spotless & beds comfortable. The courtyard area is just beautiful & very Spanish, we are in their country after all. We would absolutely return when we next visit Andalusia.
- Evelyn (10/5): - We thoroughly enjoyed the hotel, the staff, and the restaurant. But the area was a bit run down and the other restaurants were not travel friendly. We happened to be there during the Málaga Feria (fair) and THAT was an amazing experience! We walked there three evenings and just loved it. But, minus the fair, you are VERY far from anything to do or see. If you just need a hotel and no entertainment or sight-seeing, its perfect for relaxing and great meals.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - Saw a lezard in the room and ask the receptionist to cancel my booking as it was no way for me to stay in this room. Receptionist was so rude and si,ply said, yoru room is paid and can't cancel it. Was forced to stay in this hotel (thanksfully in another room) and changed to another hotel the day after.

- Leanne (10/5): Brilliant find! - Hotel Romerito was a brilliant find; the rooms are spacious and very clean. The beds were comfortable and the bathrooms were lovely, with nice big showers. The staff were very friendly and helpful, one in particular spoke very good English and was doing a great job trying to help out many last minute bookings, after a flight was cancelled (I'm sorry I didn't catch her name). They were very patient with everyone and accomodating. It was a beautiful hotel, and the courtyard was lovely to sit outside and enjoy a meal in. It is located conveniently to the airport and I would definitely stay here again.

- Nicolae (8/5): - Very clean, did not go for the breakfast option as it was quite pricey, no parking though, and this is one of the reasons I chose the hotel… I arrived late in the evening and when I arrived in front of the garage door( after a steep decent to the garage, I saw the door closed and called the intercom, I was informed the parking is full… I circled around for 15 min and parked in a taxi place available until 08.00… next morning I took the car at 7.30 and came back to the hotel to try again… more than half of the parking was empty… did all the cars just left between 01.00 in the morning and 7.30? I really don’t know… but no parking is an issue
- Phyllis (10/5): Comfortable stay at Romerito - We had a fantastic and comfortable stay at Hotel Romerito. The hotel had everything you need - comfortable bed, hot water, good shower pressure. The restaurant at the hotel offers a good breakfast as well! The hotel was very clean - there was always a team of cleaners throughout the day. More than I had seen at any hotel!

We are currently in the middle of a full weeks stay here and am using some downtime to get this task accomplished. The "facility" itself is maintained meticulously with a very hard working staff. The restaurant within the hotel is, without a doubt the best in the neighborhood. Remembering what we are paying for the room per night expectations need to be set proportionately to the charge. Of any hotel we ask most for 3 items 1. Good A/C - check 2. A good strong and hot shower - check 3. Comfortable bed(s) - check We had no ants or bugs of any kind As an Architect it really is a rather attractive and semi classically designed facility. As in most of Spain, as Americans we are bothered by the amount and "locations," of all the smokers but I suspect it is also regulated by laws. The ONLY drawback I have thus far, which would be free to fix it is that the staff we deal with could be a lot more congenial and hospitable to us. It might be that they are very used to Spanish speaking clientele, which, while we do our best we are not fluent. UPDATE....The staff has now gotten used to us, or it was me however they are also very friendly struggling with little English matching my feeble attempts at Spanish. All in all. Price to quality in.my opinion is well on the mark if not actually a super great value and find. If

It is more than obvious I came together with them on 3.05 and left without them. Where are my belongings please? I will appreciate if I get them back. Never had such experience in my life.

I forgot my coat and shal in the wardrobe. Four hours later I went back to the hotel to pick up my language and tell them if they could give my coat as it is still in the wardrobe. They said sorry but it is nothing there….the cleaners did not report anything…. So with one word it is stollen. I came with a coat because it was cold in my country and here was hot and I even did not think about my coat in the morning so it was in just there in the wardrobe.

- maxhilldale (4/5): Made a terrible experience worse for me - Here is my sad experience with Hotel Romerito. I was placed here with a voucher from Vueling Airlines due to a flight cancellation because of the blackout. I understand it was extenuating circumstances but the airline told me the booking would be for 3 days and when I asked the front desk at check in, they assured me that yes, it was for 3 days. I was at the airport that day for over 10 hours with no food, the hotel also had no food as their restaurant was closed (which is understandable due to the blackout, but you think they'd at least sell snacks or something). So I starving, I went to sleep. The next morning I get rudely called that I need to check out immediately. I came down to show them my ticket was re-booked for 3 days later and offered to call the airline who also told me my voucher was for 3 days, but they told me that either I had to check out immediately or else pay a much more expensive price than what is quoted online for the same hotel. I told them I would check out. The hotel itself was also pretty dismal. The room was so tiny there wasn't even room to put my suitcase. There was no water given, even at the front desk when I asked they told me to go to a bar down the street to buy a water there (crazy for a simple bottle of water). No coffee or tea in the rooms. There was also no refrigerator, basically it was just the tiniest of tiny rooms with 2 beds, and an equally tiny shower room. The only good thing about the room was the large balcony, unfortunately I did not have any time to enjoy that being that I was kicked out early. The location was in the middle of nowhere but close enough to the airport to be called an airport hotel. There were a few restaurants and shops nearby at least, unfortunately all but one were closed when I was there but that was due to the power failures. I imagine things would be better in that regard if it weren't for all that going on. In closing, I wanted to give this hotel a chance as I know what they were dealing with and I hate leaving bad reviews, but the rude lady at reception really ruined the whole experience for me. The other front desk staff were at least nice and accomodating, even though they usually couldn't help me with anything. The rude woman should have at least offered to let me wait to check out so I could call the airline and try to fix the situation with them. But instead she forced me to either check out immediately or pay. I don't know how this hotel will have customers want to ever come back if they have this attitude.
- Jacques (4/5): Unable to get refund - We were unable to get refund when we had to cancel our stay. The hôtel kept asking us for sensitive data from our bank account number, in Canada, to refund us. They say they can’t do orherwise, Even if we prepaid with our crédit card. We don’t understand why!

- JinT83 (8/5): A great stay for motorcyclists with friendly staff, excellent food, and a good location. We will visit this place again - A great location for motorcyclists. We only needed a bed and shower, good food, and an open restaurant. The staff was very friendly, and the reception could speak English. The cuisine was excellent. We spent two days there, and everything was fine. However, the rooms were quite small and noisy, so for a longer stay, I would prefer a bigger, quieter room

- parinaz (6/5): - Cute hotel, but some of ladies at the reception were very unhelpful and dismissive when I asked for help, expecially the one with black curly hair, as if she was angry or annoyed with something and just had zero sympathy for my situation. The least they could do was use Google translate to understand me. The restaurant had very limited fresh pastries and overcharged for a coffee. The coffee was double the price of one across the street. The room was clean, but only one shampoo/conditioner for hair and body, which is very cheap. Not a single coffee maker or hot water dispenser anywhere in hotel. So, for a cup of tea or coffee you had to keep going to the restaurant. The fountain and courtyard was cute,but then other mentioned stuff are important as well.

The staff at the front desk was invaluable as she helped me with getting a train reserved along with arrangement for a taxi in the morning. She even looked online to find the best options for me to get to my destination the next day.

- Julie (8/5): - Hotel Romerito was a one night stop. We arrived at night, then caught a plane the next morning. We had a car and used their secure underground parking for €8, perfect. The room itself was tiny, even for a couple. The AC was great and the windows kept noise out. Perfect for a one nighter in and out.

- Verified traveler (6/5): - It was extremely noisy during the day and there was also noise at night. There were some repairs done during the day with lots of hammering, there was lots of noise from the nearby playing ground and from the underground parking door which prevented us from having a good rest after a long day's trip. The quadrupal room was clean and the beds were comfortable. The bathroom was nice as well. There was only one squeaking chair in the room for the four of us.

Hotel was clean, stylish but the one thing that completely let it down was the barmaid in the resturant (12.05.24) made us feel extremely unwelcome, has an awful attitude and extremely unapproachable. She will harm the hotels business and reputation if she carries on with the way she portrays herself to guests. She is not a positive embassedor for the future business of the hotel Otherwise, it was beautiful.

- Chris (4/5): Too noisy at night - This hotel is only good if you don't have problem with noice at night. The other guests come back to their room at every hour of the night, and they are not silent. That the doors appear to be made of paper does't help either.

Pas de possibilités de stationnement dans la rue mais parking de l'hôtel très pratique. Hôtel en très bon état, chambres en cours de rénovation (début avril 2024). La nôtre venait d'être terminée, un peu petite mais avec une terrasse très agréable. Restaurant de l'hôtel très correct. Accueil agréable. Insonorisation des chambres pas terribles (idem quasiment totalité de notre périple andalou).

- Leonard (10/5): - The desk staff were wonderful. I needed to borrow a cork screw and the bartender at their restaurant said he didn’t have one. When I asked how he opened the wine bottles displayed he shrugged his shoulders and walked into the kitchen. I would never set foot in that restaurant. One lady at the desk, walked home and brought me a corkscrew to open the bottle of wine that I had. The hotel was spotless and quiet. The best value we have experienced in a long time.

All the staff are amazingly friendly and helpful which makes this hotel so special. We are cycle tourists and the hotel have very kindly stored our large boxes while we go off on a cycle tour. You can catch a number 20 bus into the centre from outside the hotel.
- 611lizv (10/5): A Friendly Hotel with Character - I chose this hotel as it was the closest I could find in an emergency when my husband was in El Clinico hospital. I stayed there over 3 weeks and the staff supported me through a very difficult time. It felt like a safe place to be and everyone was kind, friendly and helpful. A small, clean, room with a balcony overlooking a very pretty courtyard. Although there were some noisy youth groups staying, it added a buzz to the hotel and restaurant which I didn't mind... only one night I had to ask them to keep quiet!

A tiny packet of shower gel/shampoo that was only enough to wash your hands once. The outside courtyard was very noisy past 11 pm. Would not tecommend.
- David (6/5): - Due to my late booking I was stuck with what I could find in the Malaga area. This one was stuck out in the suburbs and required a 10 minute drive into the city. The hotel had below ground parking but it was full therefore parking was a nightmare. The hotel is connected to a restaurant but the staff there were quite indifferent. Breakfast there was almost laughable, a ham and cheese sandwich was the most exciting thing that I saw. There’s no water or coffee in the rooms and only small packages of liquid soap. Although the room did have a nice little balcony I felt really miserable staying here and couldn’t wait for the stay to be done with.
- Mark (8/5): Wonderful except parking - I love the facility, it is a beautiful courtyard and is well maintained. There was an odor in the bathroom but we vented it out. Parking is horrible. Horrible as in there is none. The basement parking was closed. If not for the parking I would give it 5 stars.
- Philippe (10/5): Great hotel. - A wee diamond of a hotel with a great restaurant. The bus stop to Malaga center is outside the hotel. Close to the airport as well. Staff were very good and the place is spotless. I would highly recommend this hotel.
- Cristina (10/5): - The hotel was a great property to stay at, had a real Spanish feel, but it was about a 15 minute drive from the Centro. If you are planning to visit the tourist areas and don’t mind driving a distance or commuting by bus, this is an ideal choice. There is a bus stop right outside the property, and a few cafe dining options around as well, with more of a local feel, than a tourist area. The hotel itself has its own restaurant, so you can enjoy breakfast or a late night dinner. All areas were clean and smelled great!
- Verified traveler (8/5): My experience staying this hotel - My stay in the hotel is good in general. The environment is fine. I liked its garden setting. The staff was all friendly. The hotel made up the room but did not change the bedding. The same bedding was used for six nights. The soup for the shower was empty and did not get re/filled after request. Very few restaurants are nearby. The hotel had its own restaurant.
