- Aileen (4/5): - Location was good. just a quick drive to Tim Hortons and other restaurants. THe motel advertises that there is a kettle, coffee maker, ironing board etc. THere was a fridge and stove but no kettle or coffee maker. no cups or glasses. there were plates and bowls and some cutlery. After we asked, they gave us a kettle and 2 very small cups. Just don't advertise that the rooms have these things and it would have been fine. I wouldn't have brought coffee to make in a coffee maker. There was no dish soap to use to clean the cups we had to go buy. Also there was no garbage can at all in the room, not even in the bathroom so we had to leave our take out garbage on the kitchen counter. Bed was comfotable though
- Yeshwanth (3/5): Budget friendly with lot of compromise on cleanliness and amenities - It has two beds so it's comfortable for family of 4 it's at the very good location ans close to all amenities All the rooms need good maintenance. It was dirty everywhere and most kitchen appliances were in bad condition.

We were too tired to move or look for a different place. But surely, will never book this place again. Cleaning and service are very important for any place no matter if it’s a one or five star accommodations. And amenities in the room must work or be replaced as to provide at least a minimal comfort for a client.

- Richard (4/5): - As soon as you open the front door your welcomed with the smell of stall cigarette smell as well as a dirty carpet, check in was fine... room was very outdated and it was two rooms to fit two full size beds ( still tight) no air conditioning in main room window shaker in the small room. paint on the walls are in serious need of paint ( nicks and chips everywhere as well as dirty kitchen area the bathroom sink leaked water onto the floor as you used the sink, we refused to use the shower as it still had the soap shampoo and hair from a previous guest i would not stay here again

- Rebekah (2/5): - This property is terrible. The only reason I booked here was because it was close to where I needed to be, and everything else close by was booked. Upon walking in the carpet was dirty and it smells like cigarettes and wet dog. The person checking us in was nice enough. The room - at first we thought it smelled ok, however discovered it was due to a plug-in air freshener, which I unplugged because after a few minutes it was giving me a headache. After less than five minutes of it being unplugged I plugged it back in because the smell of the room was horrible, again cigarettes and wet dog. Thankfully we left shortly after and only came back to sleep. Left in the morning before the office was open as we couldn't wait to get out of there.

- Brad (2/5): - I booked this Motel for four nights. I checked in and attended my room. It was not satisfactory. Everything is dated and old. The bed linens were “well used”. Walls and ceiling were peeling, ect. Overall it was unsatisfactory, so after a minute and thirty seconds I notify the front desk that the room and motel were not to my liking and I will be staying elsewhere. They charged me for an overnight stay. Horrible place. Horrible policy. I do not recommend.

Mouse dropping and wet under kitchen sink in the dish drain tray. Drawer with utensils was not clean and strainer was rusty. Bathroom tub faucet was lose.

- Michael (6/5): - The property is very old. I believe it was a former apartment building that they turned into a motel which they have put very little money into unfortunately. If you just need a place to rest your head then this place is okay. Certainly priced higher than it should be. The whole property needs a face lift. Missing some of the amenities offered.. Coffee no Coffee maker, missing light bulbs, loose bathroom fixtures. I could go on but will put it plainly the place really needs a lot of work... Like I said, if you're looking for a place to rest your head, then this place will do, but it's far over priced for that. Spend the extra and go somewhere else you'll be glad you did.They say live and learn .... I did lol

- Lynn T (4/5): - I stayed at this property many years ago. Unfortunately it has not been maintained. The first sign is the smell of cigarette smoke the minute you enter the building. Within the room, again the smell of smoke, and musty smell put me off. I was going to stay three nights but quickly cancelled the last two. The walls and ceiling had holes and disrepair. Patio doors were filthy. Air conditioner cord in bedroom was stretched across the base of bed being a tripping hazard. Carpet filthy. The shower spout almost came off the wall when turning on the shower. We got one shower towel one hand towel and one face cloth for me and my husband. Hardly enough for one shower for the both of us. This used to be a good spot to stay but not anymore.

I have stayed at a 1* and this place would not even rate a 1/4 * Mold covered shower curtain, 1960’s painted paneling that looks like it would fall of at anytime. The couch OMG it looked like it could have came from a dump. Slept on top of bed with my own blankets from my Jeep the tossed them out in the morning.

The bed was very comfortable, thats the only reason I stayed and everyplace else was booked. Entrance carpet was dirty. A little bit of cleaning would do wonders.

Matress stained and blankets had holes.filter i ac needed cleaning and lady said i could clean it. Could not find anyone when you needed them.we had to buy toliet paper cuz we could not find anyone. Police came there cuz of fight in parking lot.another day ambulance came with drunk lying in parking lot. Didnt supply everything no can opener and some rooms had full fridge we only had bar fridge.would not recomend it to noone

There was a hole in the screen so I couldn't open the window at night. You could see the built up grim on the cupboards, walls and ceiling. It was however quiet and the wifi worked. If you like paneling that has been painted almost to the floor, it's here. There is also wiring laying out on the floor for the kids to play with. Don't go by teh pictures; they're old ones.

They were clean , but definitely need to be replaced. It wouldn’t take much to make this place more appealing, with a new coat of paint and fresh towels. First impressions matter, the motel entrance carpeting was very dirty and in need of a good vacuum and steam cleaning. We booked short notice for a long weekend , so choices extremely limited in the area. Priced accordingly

- Jean-Marie (4/5): Disappointed - This is called a "Motel". It is an old apartment building repurposed. It is many years old and not in good shape. It was clean enough but smelled stale. They tried to cover it up with perfume. Pro: The internet was decent. My husband liked the bed. I didn't. It was a one-bedroom suite with a full stove and fridge. Con: They charged my credit card the morning of our arrival. The management's policy and the attitude I took from their actions is one of distrust. They expect you to offend them. Whether you show up or not they have your money. If you don't wash and put away dishes they charge you. If you happen to stain any towels they will charge you. I was offended by their attitude. They are chasing away their clients.I took before and after pictures in case they want to accuse me. The notice on their bulletin board at the entrance says that the suites are renovated. Not in my opinion. The toilet and sink are new, the rest is not. The towel rack was falling off the wall. There is a permanent sign that says you can't run the hair dryer and the AC at the same time or it will blow a fuse. I don't recommend this place and will never stay there again.

Cons - towels and pillows felt not cleaned so we had to put in our own pillow cases just in case . Room service wasn’t that great as we asked for toilet rolls and they didn’t provide us and I had to goto nearby Walmart to get for the family .

- Verified traveler (2/5): STAY AWAY!! - The stay was nothing but horrible. I am surprised that hotels.com is listing this motel on their website. When we walked in, the room had this strong bad musty smell as if it wasn’t opened up for ages! The toilet wouldn’t flush, and when we called the main desk for assistance he said it was not a big deal and easy to fix if every time we used it to just remove the top part and fidget with the flush valve or pour water from a cup into the tank to flush it... we then headed to our rooms and pulled back the blankets only to find a colony of baby spiders crawling all throughout the sheets and bed. It wasn’t surprising to find out that there was a nest with birds in the air conditioner making a ton of flapping and chirping noise. We decided to make some popcorn and lighten up the moment only to find a rotting subway left in the microwave which when we opened filled the air with this odor that was just unbelievable. If we looked any closer we would have easily come across so much more but we had just gotten back from lions head trail, were exhausted and checked no other places had vacancy. So we wore our jackets for blanket, slept and immediately left the next morning.... by far the worst stay and a nightmare for anyone thinking to book this place. I use hotels.com all the time and we could only wish that we are offered a refund for having listed this place on their website.

Brown spots on the sheets and the floor looked like never was vacuumed. I have traveled around the world and stayed in BACKPACKERS some time and I never have found this kind of abandoned place. Thanks Gog I had a sheet for my baby and I can put it on his side. WHAT HAPPENS WITH THE DEPARTMENT OR ORGANIZATION THAT SHOULD SUPERVISE THIS KIND OF BUSINESS??
- Amit (2/5): - This is the worst place I have ever stayed. As soon as you enter the motel you get smoky smell in the entire place. Bedroom was too small. AC was too noisy. The stove was too old and on top the best part is the oven was not working, when we asked the manager(one man show) he said as the stoves are old hence some of them are not working. decor was old and dated. The room had old humid smell. We paid the premium price which I will not recommend anyone to spend on this place

- Robert (2/5): Unclean room no hot water - The room was not vacuumed properly, the ceramic floors in the kitchenette and bathroom were sticky, the counter was dirty, some dishes were dirty. They had a issue with the hot water that evening and therefore NO HOT WATER for washing, showers or dishes. We left early the next morning as there was still no hot water. They refunded 2 of the 3 days stay, but in my opinion we should of had the entire stay refunded and as a matter of fact I am still waiting for the refund to show up on my credit card.
- Karyne (2/5): - Thé room wasn’t been clean before our arrival. The employe came when I complain, but do a surface cleaning only . I went to the store in front and buy cleaning stuff to do it by myself. The fridge, microwave , dishes aren’t very clean, I got to clean it before using The corridor and the carpet haven’t been clean for a lot of time. Juste can’t tough the wall I tried to change of hotel, but nothing available so I got to stay there :(
- Verified traveler (6/5): Survivel - Dirty. Shower not working. Balcony door broken, and the net torn. Mirror in the bathroom with some cloudy stains on it. Piece of socks at the balcony. Singing neighbour at 2-3 a.m. Toilet bowl had a coloured edge inside at the water level (not cleaned recently)

- Verified traveler (8/5): - Super friendly staff and the kitchen was awesome to have to prep food. The bbq at the back was nice too! Beach was close and slept like a baby!
- Selfras (2/5): Never again - The customer service was horrible. The wifi didn’t work on any of our devices. The room had roaches and we found a hair ball in the fold of the bedding. We demanded a refund and the owner started cursing us in his language. He gave us our refunds for the two rooms we booked and was very angry 😡 while doing it. Never ever going back.

- Jaret (2/5): - It was clean , king size bed was in bad shape , almost broken, did not get a good night sleep, bedroom door was difficult to close and would open on its own , bathroom exhaust fan was extremely loud .
- Verified traveler (6/5): - It was not bad for the price. In fact for the price it was pretty good. The bathroom was decent size. The room and kitchen was very clean and everything worked. I was quite pleased and would go back.

Dirty mirrors and windows; great amount of dust on air conditioner - we would not have used it if it was hot outside. Stove was dirty-- the pan covers under the stove elements were very dirty and needed to be replaced. The bathroom towels were quite thin and one towel had holes.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - Price only good thing. Units are below ground level, dehumidifier in hall. Dingy, rips in carpet, spider, put towels on couch before sitting.

- Verified traveler (4/5): - The room was in the basement and was very dirty. The bathroom fan was covered in dust and there were cobwebs in the corner of the towel rack. One of the facecloths had black dirt on it - it looked like mascara. The bedroom and living area were filthy with dust and cobwebs and it appears the room had not been properly cleaned in quite some time. The sheets, toilet and sink appeared clean which is the only reason we were able to stay in the room and not sleep in our car. I wish I would have told the owners but they seemed nice and I didn’t want to hurt feelings

- Jim (4/5): - Through no fault of their own, the power was off in Port Elgin. I had a good flashlight, but couldn't watch tv, make a coffee, nothing. Went to bed early, power came on part way through he night. Morning, could not reach anybody at the office to get password for WiFi, coffee maker still had grounds in it from previous customers, coffee pot still had coffee left over. Just not nice. room was next to the street, very noisy. I think the power being off so long, was really the major problem and not the owners fault.
