If you don’t want to stay in the hotel you need to hire a car as taxis to anywhere are expensive, the food was good value but drinks were expensive. The only negative of the stay was the bed being very uncomfortable.

The only draw back were the guests with big dogs and infants. So if you're looking for adult only, romantic stay, think twice. But having said that, it still was spectacular!

The Mediterranean gardens lining the walkways were stunning. We upgraded to a deluxe room and it was perfect for me and my 13 year old daughter. Would be perfect for a couple as well.

- duquoin (4/5): needs better focus on customer service - Hotel is beautiful, however both days at the pool everyone else was served and I was never once asked if i wanted food or drinks which i did. Also both nights the AC didn’t work in the room. The last night i was moved to an adjacent room and an hour later the AC and power went out in the entire room. I brought this inconvenience to the attention of hotel staff and no compensation was provided. Evening bar staff (female) not very engaging. Almost appeared annoyed at my presence. Finally the pool closes at 8pm which is way too early considering there is nowhere else locally to go without a long drive. WiFi is touch and go and the private beach sand is extremely coarse

- Adriana (10/5): - We had the most wonderful stay at Cala Cuncheddi Hotel! From the moment we arrived, everything felt special. The setting is absolutely breathtaking — especially the sunsets, which were some of the most beautiful we’ve ever seen. The restaurant was a highlight of our trip: not only was the food exceptional every single time, but dining with those stunning views made each meal unforgettable. A very special thank you to Roberto, our server throughout the week. His warm hospitality, attention to detail, and genuine kindness made us feel so welcomed. He truly elevated our experience and made our dinners even more enjoyable. Their private beach is beautiful and so is their pool. We always found spots either at the beach or at the pool. We can’t wait to return to Cala Cuncheddi and relive this perfect combination of great food, beautiful scenery, and exceptional service.
- Jean-Paul (10/5): - The staff was very attentive, buffet breakfast and lunch/dinner options were excellent, beach was amazing, very comfortable lounge chairs at the beach (most beach resort hotels don't offer comfortable lounge chair cushions), great bed in the room, beautiful view from the balcony, etc...The only request that I would make to the hotel is to heat up the pool a bit as it was quite cold even with the hot Sardinian sun.

- Manuel (10/5): - Property was immaculate. The front desk staff were awesome, Bar staff Mario And his sidekick were great. Mario makes a killer whiskey sour. The restaurants on site were on point and kept the food interesting by shaking up the menu daily. Breakfast was always exceptional and lots of options from American to Italian. The pool is gorgeous and the private beach and water are stunning. There are loungers at pool and beach. There is no hotel bar/ food service down at the beach but there’s a small local bar on beach separate from the hotel. Or you can bring your own drinks/ food. The rooms are perfect and have everything you need. Housekeeping staff are trustworthy as we left valuables in our room and never had an issue. There’s even a small gym if you care to work out on vacation. There’s a spa on site but we never used it as we spent all our time at beach/ pool. The young staff/ employees are still going through some growing pains as the busy season starts but all in all they did a flawless job and will only get better and better with time. This stay was 11 out of 10, so great !! Thanks to the Cala Staff !!

The rooms are gorgeous and the entire property is clean and beautiful. If you want to leave the resort style hotel, you need a car. Nothing is in walking distance, but when you want a location on the beach you need a car in Sardinia. This hotel will not disappoint!

- Richard (10/5): - Mooie nieuwe accommodatie aan een schitterend strand, waarbij het gebruik van de strandbedden is inbegrepen. Zeer mooi zwembad met uitzicht over de baai. Er is een kleine spa waar je per kamer één keer per verblijf gratis gebruik van kan maken. De kwaliteit van het onbijt is uitstekend. Het diner is goed maar niet bijzonder, daarnaast is het vrij druk in het restaurant en zijn de prijzen vrij hoog. Het personeel is erg proffesioneel en vriendelijk. De 90s muziek aan t zwembad vind ik persoonlijk niet passen bij dit type hotel en de sfeer.

Unser Zimmer hatte Meerblick, es konnte jedoch max eine Person auf den Balkon. Leider hat das Bett ziemlich gequietscht. Frühstück nicht sehr abwechslungsreich - aber ok. Eigener Strandabschnitt mit eigenen Liegen die inklusive waren. Der Strand selbst ist kein klassischer Sardinien Strand, wie man es sich vorstellt. Leider sehr viele Steine im Wasser, daher mühsam hineinzukommen. Front Office - Kellner - Spabereich allesamt sehr nett. … es gibt 3x Woche Lifemusik bis 23:30h, da das Hotel etwas hellhörig ist, war es mir zu laut.

Desayuno no muy abundante pero de todo lo más normal y con una dulcería de mucha calidad. Nos han tratado genial, son muy amables. Es un hotel no muy grande, admite perros cosa que no me di cuenta al reservar porque no reservo nunca en hoteles en los que se admiten perros, y me gustan los perros pero no en un hotel, los he visto subidos en las tumbonas de la piscina, donde luego tu te tumbas, y molestar con los continuos ladridos en el desayuno, por supuesto la que sobraba era yo que no me di cuenta de este detalle. Por lo demás el hotel es maravilloso, la playa con algunas piedrecitas pero si caminas algo ya se entra bien en la playa de aguas transparentes. La playa tiene por parte del hotel tumbonas y sombrillas de gran comodidad y una piscina muy agradable. Las comidas están bien también. Alrededor no hay nada eso si, lo más cercano es Olbia que está bien para pasear y cenar y buenísimas playas cercanas. El hotel es un remanso de paz quitando el detalle de los perros. Repito hotel, habitación y trato muy muy bueno.

Just 20 min drive from Olbia Airport. Service is the most excellent I have ever experienced. So friendly and professional staff, always with a smile on their faces and a mentality of that nothing is impossible for them to serve you with. Me and my husband had 8 days here enjoying every moment. We will come back over and over!
- Verified traveler (6/5): Price value not in line. Too expensive... - The price value relation was not good. The room was very nice, but food was sub par, the beach was not the nicest, for the price you pay you should be able to change the towels from beach/pool if you want. Only hotel with mosquitos from 6 we stayed in sardinia. Nice view from rooms and pool.
- Patricia (10/5): - The hotel was beautiful located. The staff go over and above for their guests. We noticed they tend to seniors demands. The private beach is quiet and always enough room for all. The only thing is you need water shoes to get in because of rocks... We had half board with includes breakfast and supper....however any water, coffee, teas are all extras.....and bill adds up very fast!!! I enjoyed my stay, it was relaxing and we had a rental car so we got to enjoy other beautiful beaches with crystal clear water and white sands..

- Emma (4/5): - Very expensive airport shuttle service provided by the hotel for a short 20 minute trip each way. Paid for the return journey upon check in and then the taxi and hotel tried to charge us again on the return trip and only after some time and our persistence that we had already paid did they finally acknowledge. Very unprofessional and caused us distress. Location is very remote, barely anything within walking distance and taxis are very expensive. Only provided with one bottle of water for a day and are then charged an expensive amount for any further bottles. Very expensive for food and drinks. Breakfast was very nice and there was a wide range to choose from with beautiful views. Beach is beautiful but is stony and not white sand , I believe there are nicer beaches on the island. Only excursion possible is on a speedboat. The room was nice and modern and very clean, although we didn’t have the best view. I am normally not a person to complain and had high hopes of staying here for our honeymoon but sadly it wasn’t the experience I would have hoped for.

- Alexander (8/5): - The right place if you want only to relax, there is just the resort and the beach, next village 3,5 km. Hotel doesn‘t offer any shopping/amenities. Rooms have been recently renovated; unfortunately the interior designer never used the round mirrors in the bathroom: if you‘re taller than 170 cm you can‘t stand straight to brush, clean your face or make-up.

Beim Dinner im Hotelrestaurant sind Preis und Leistung aus unserer Sicht unangemessen. Wir haben in der Umgebung eine deutlich bessere gehobene Küche angeboten bekommen. Leider gab es am Strand keinen Essens- bzw. Getränkeservice. Es war jedoch möglich selbst zur Poolbar zu gehen und sich dort Getränke zu holen.

Our room was very comfortable had an amazing view of the ocean and the pool. Beach loungers with umbrellas! Super big and cozy beach towels. The restaurant and Pool bar were fabulous with great variety of drinks and local cuisine. We enjoyed every minute of our stay.

- Louise (8/5): - Tout a été parfait sauf le manager à qui on a avisé 3 jours avant notre départ que suite à une tempête entre Bonifacio et santa Theresa le ferry a été annulé. Nous avons dû quitter 1 jour avant . Aucune indemnisation nous a été proposée.
- Miss (6/5): Mediocre and not as good as the photos suggest. - Underwhelming. Cheap furniture and uncomfortable bed. We paid for superior sea view room and the first room we were given looked straight onto a big wall. You could only see the sea if you looked around from the end of the balcony. We then got moved to a smaller room which had a sea view but more accurately matched the inferior room on the website because it has a smaller balcony. The receptionists weren't very helpful even though they were polite. Booking the spa felt near impossible. The pool is very nice. The spa is quite good. The beach isn't very pleasant and has course sand. The restaurant food was horrible.

The resort has all the fine finishings, great food, service, scenery, spacious rooms, spa, and huge amounts of attention to detail, etc... - N (8/5): On y retournera - Tout était parfait. Seul, le service ménage n'a pas été complet. L'hôtel n'est pas du tout éco-friendly dans le sens où les serviettes sont changées tous les jours, même si elles ont été suspendues ou rangées correctement.

The staff were very accommodating and helpful with local restaurant tips and areas to visit. The only issue I have was with the parking and availability.

Das moderne Design, die verschiedenen Ebenen mit Pool, Restaurants und privatem Sandstrand bietet Luxus für alle Sinne. Wer gerne am Abend nach Olbio möchte, ist mit dem Auto in rund 20min vor Ort.

No amenities in room. Away from everything. Food is stupid priced and marginal. Breakfast marginal. Car rental was absolute rip off. Charged hundreds over after I left to go home. Hotel set up taxi back to airport and ripped me off. $60 for a $20 ride. NEVER GO THERE. PICK ANYWHERE ELSE. Absolute joke—unless you’re a local maybe… Completely ripped me off all the way around. Terrible experience. TERRIBLE. STAY AWAY
- Joanne (8/5): - The location is gorgeous and the hotel really does have the Wow effect when you first enter the lobby. My first impression was good - the friendly and attentive receptionist Gloria checked us in. After that, the service quality was somewhat inconsistent. I wondered whether it was because the hotel was understaffed. The prices for food were understandably high due to the location but the quality was mostly good. The pool was gorgeous, and the private beach was blissful. I was a little disappointed as I was led to believe that as an Expedia Gold member, I would be given a better room. Our room was on a lower floor, with sliding doors that opened up to the thorough fare - hence not much privacy there.

Beautiful views from our patio and sunset cocktails made it a perfect stay after a week of sailing around Sardegna.
