• Rosemary (9/5): Great location in a spacious apartment but some issues. - Great location, very spacious, well equipped kitchen, comfortable bed. Poor ventilation, food smells from nearby shops, unable to open windows more than a crack. No information provided about the laundry powder so difficult to know how much to use. Clothes airer is too small. Bathroom is very small without enough hooks. The shower curtain doesn’t reach doesn’t reach the floor so water gets everywhere.

El apartamento genial y súper limpio y no era casi nada ruidoso (vamos q en mi casa oigo mas ruidos). Los lockers que te ofrecen hay solo 2 entonces estaban llenos. Pero la mujer de la limpieza súper amable nos dejó dejar el equipaje, la mejor!!

• Lena (8/5): Great location in charming, cozy house. - Great location in the old centre, within walking distance of other neighbourhoods. Very charming house with lots of character. Check-in process with key codes was very easy. The apartment and kitchen was equipped with everything we needed during our stay. Pull-out sofa was not very comfortable and is due for an update. Somewhat noisy in the morning due to street cleaning and garbage trucks, but that is outside of the host’s control.

El baño tenía una ducha para la que en el acceso había que saltar un muro de unos 40 cm. Nunca había visto un alojamiento con la pintura sucia y polvo por los cables del techo. La instalación eléctrica da miedo, todos los cables expuestos. Un desastre a un precio elevado.

• Emily (4/5): Avoid, no hot water, poor response, poor building security, loud. - Location was good, apartment was large and spacious. There was no hot water, we did not have a single hot shower while staying here. We submitted a maintenance request, a representative entered the apartment without checking with us first, turned on the hot water and said "everything's fine, case closed". The hot water only lasted about 30 seconds, they obviously did not read the query that i sent and did not care if their guests had hot water. In summer this might be ok, but winter this is definitely not acceptable. Sent an email back letting the property know this and no response. Very, very poor. Also, the external security door doesn't close, so the building is not very secure. The room is also loud, directly above a busy street in old town, we slept ok with this, but would routinely be woken up early by vehicles driving past. Definitely would not stay here again. Completely unacceptable.

• OLIVBCN (9/5): A very convenient and comfortable stay. - Excellent location in the Old Town. We booked this accommodation at a discounted rate. The company managing the building provided all the necessary information via WhatsApp and email, which made the process smooth and easy. The apartment was very clean and well heated, which was especially appreciated as the weather was quite chilly. Since it was cold, there was very little noise from the street. The kitchen was well equipped, and the apartment was thoughtfully stocked with basic essentials such as dishwashing liquid, detergent for the washing machine, sugar, coffee, olive oil, salt, and pepper. Access to the bathroom sink is somewhat narrow, which may feel a bit tight. The shower gel dispenser in the shower was empty, so it’s advisable to bring your own toiletries.

• Henrik (5/5): - Technischer Support war schnell erreichbar, als es Probleme mit der Tür gab. Lage in der Altstadt sehr gut, wenn man dort sein möchte. Es ist nicht sehr liebevoll eingerichtet. Das Treppenhaus hinunter zu unserem Zimmer war nicht einladend. Die Appartmenttür hatte Spuren von Aufbruchversuchen. Das Badezimmer stand nach jedem Duschen unter Wasser. Unser Appartment war recht hellhörig - die Leute auf der Straße und Besucher über uns konnte man hören. Manchmal roch es im Zimmer auch nach fettigem Essen, vielleicht wegen der Lüftung und dem Burgerladen direkt unter dem Appartment.

• Pam (9/5): Lovely, large Apartment in tourist shopping area of Gamla Stan - This apartment is very large and is located right in the heart of the shopping and tourist area of Gamla Stan. It was easy to walk to everything in Gamla Stan and also easy to get transportation to other areas. It was perfect for my daughter and I. The apartment has everything you need and is modernized but it is in a very, very old building so keep that in mind. Also, being located in a popular area there can be street noise. The location is worth it. Initially there was some confusion about luggage storage on site. The lockers on site are very small and were occupied. If storage is needed for small, carry on bags, plan to leave at the train station or ask for access to the 2nd location in Gamla Stan, which has a small locked closet on the 4th floor accessible by stairs only.

Plenty warm inside on cold winter nights. We stayed for a week and it was quiet outside most nights. However, Friday and Saturday nights there was a lot more noise. Unavoidable in a central location like this, but there's not much sound insulation.

Excellent number of plates, cutlery and cooking equipment. Beds and pillows super comfy and was great to have a sofa to watch tv from. Heaters were nice and strong for winter weather. They had teabags and coffee available for a desperate cuppa.the building is unbelievably old but that is why you stay here. It has character, charm and is a look into the past. Please please please remove the scary painting from above the sofa. One of those pictures that feels as though its eyes are following you. Does not suit mood of apartment and absolutely freaky looking at you whilst you drift off to sleep. Whilst a perfect location it is really noisy in the morning and evening. So no sleep ins. The shower is a shocker with limited hot water but you can manage that.

• Jean-Luc (9/5): Très très bel emplacement - Très très bel emplacement en plein cœur du centre historique, très propre et bien équipé. Meublé dans l'esprit du centre historique de la ville, très bien équipé et lits très confortables. Parquet au sol, chaleureux et confortable. Nous avons eu une coupure électrique dans plusieurs immeubles pendant 2h un soir mais le propriétaire est venu rapidement, il avait appelé les services de dépannage et nous a fourni des bougies en attendant. Meme si nous ne l'avions jamais vu précédemment (accès par digicode envoyés par mail) c'était rassurant de savoir que quelqu'un avait prévenu les services de dépannage. Le radiateur dans la salle de bain ne fonctionnait pas mais cela ne nous a pas dérangé, il ne faisait pas froid dans la salle de bain.

• Marie (9/5): - Door codes were very useful and efficient. Location excellent and facilities were good (and as stated). It was quiet in the apartment even though it was in the heart of the old town. The communications/organisation of the stay was great, and very straightforward, fast and clear. It was disappointing that the luggage lockers (just 2 of them) were always being used. I checked multiple times during our stay and found it difficult to understand that they were always being used, even late at night. This became a problem on our final day. Suggest more lockers be installed and/or long-term use is monitored and prevented.

There was a nice small kitchen with all things that you needed, especially nice that you got free tea and coffee. I would love to visit this apartment again. You find yourself in the middle of Gamla stan, close to the underground. There were really nice restaurants in the neighborhood and we had the opportunity to visit Baggen and a really nice music event when we were there. The openness and cosiness of the apartment was really nice. The stairs, different heights and low ceiling in the stairway, no elevator which is problematic if you have heavy bags. I got the code to the apartment late which was stressful.

• Gary (7/5): A decent and value option in Gamla Stan - Excellent location in the heart of old town on a historic street. The German Church, the narrow alley, and a Viking rune are just steps away. There’s easy access to cafes and restaurants. The living and sleeping space in our studio (Apartment 10) was spacious. The apartment has no elevator. There are steps to get up to the main door & down or up to the rooms (except Apartment #1 on the main floor.). These are not problematic for those traveling with just a carryon. We had requested a room on the main floor, but unfortunately, it wasn’t available. Apartment 10 is downstairs from the small entry area. The top of the stairs curved, so we had to be careful with our large piece of luggage. The automatic hallway light downstairs turned off too quickly, we had to keep waving several times before we were able to punch in the code to our apartment. Window soundproofing quality is average. We were able to hear noises from people passing on the street below and music from one of the apartments (not sure whether from the same or from another building. It wasn’t a problem during our stay, but it could be during the high season for light sleepers. NOTE for those with luggage: There are 2 luggage lockers on our floor. They’re only large enough for carryons. Fortunately, we didn’t have to use them. Like many apartments in Europe, we had to take our luggage to a more convenient spot to get picked up by a rideshare.
• Dean (9/5): Best location to stay - The location is amazing, this is one of the oldest buildings in Stockholm. The entry doorway is tricky to find, check the door numbers as you go. Narrow stairs 1 floor to the apartment, lovely inside and well equipped. A sink plug would be nice. Bathroom is small and basic, no other concerns.
• Frédéric (7/5): Bon séjour dans un bel emplacement central - Emplacement géographique central. Grand appartement avec du cachet (ancien appartement), propre. Lit King Size confortable dans une grande chambre. Grand salon. Très grande cuisine bien équipée. Autonomie pour le check in et le check out, sans besoin de clé physique (tout se fait par code). Réactivité du service client (nous avons dû changer de dates). Salle de bain un peu biscornue car ancien appartement. Un des deux côtés de l'appartement donne sur une rue vivante, même assez tard mais c'est normal vu l'emplacement. Je chipote, mais quelques sachets de café soluble, de thé et de sucre auraient été bienvenus.

• Elvira (1/5): Esperienza tremenda - Niente Struttura sporca e mal tenuta, c’è il divieto di aprire le finestre e quindi c’è aria viziata e puzza proveniente dalla cucina di un ristorante vicino. Il bagno si allaga dopo un minuto di doccia. Cavi pendenti ovunque e sporcizia (abbiamo trovato scritte sul vetro fatte da ospiti prima di noi). In più il quartiere non è l’ideale per soggiornare a Stoccolma, ci sono zone molto più comode e fornite di servizi senza trappole per turisti

• Michael (10/5): - Sehr schöne und zentral gelegene Wohnung, im typischen Altstadt Flair, im Herzen von Gamla Stan. Eine gewendelte Holztreppe hat uns in unser Apartment geführt. Die Kommunikation und der Service des Host waren super. Immer wieder gerne!
• Hsing-Fen (9/5): - We appreciate the practical information related to our visit. The apartment was nicely equipped and the location was very convenient. Staying in this old building was a great experience and was a great start to explore the city. While it was well equipped, electronics and kitchen equipment were mostly budget products. It is understandable though and it didn’t affect our overall experience.
• Álvaro (6/5): Buena ubicación, pero con varias cosas mejorables - La ubicación del alojamiento es sencillamente inmejorable, perfecta para recorrer la ciudad a pie y disfrutar de su encanto histórico. Las estancias, en general, son amplias y acogedoras, lo que permite descansar cómodamente tras un día de visitas. El edificio tiene el encanto propio de una construcción del siglo XVI, lo que añade un punto pintoresco a la experiencia. Sin embargo, hay varios aspectos a tener en cuenta. El baño es bastante pequeño y el sistema de agua caliente se agota tras unos 20 minutos, lo que puede suponer un problema si os alojáis varias personas. La ducha no es tal, sino un grifo con desagüe en el suelo que provoca que medio baño se moje. El alojamiento no dispone de aire acondicionado (ni nada en Suecia), y aunque entendemos las limitaciones estructurales del edificio, durante los días más calurosos del verano se echa de menos, especialmente al estar en una entreplanta donde se cuelan olores y calor procedentes de las cocinas de restaurantes cercanos. Además, hay carteles que prohíben abrir las ventanas, lo que agrava esa sensación. Al llegar, contratamos el alojamiento para tres personas pero solo encontramos hecha la cama de matrimonio, y se nos indicó que eso es lo habitual. Tampoco hay ascensor y la puerta exterior requiere bastante fuerza para abrirla, algo a considerar si llevas equipaje o tienes movilidad reducida.
• Carina (8/5): Problems solved - great apartment in the Old Town - I have been staying in this apartment before, and I had a few issues regarding the bathroom. These problems have all been solved, so I can strongly recommend this flat. The apartment is only one floor up, which is great if you are carrying heavy luggage. A better choice of TV-channels wouldn't be bad. There were a lot of local Swedish TV-channels, which can hardly be of interest for international guests. CNN and France 24 should be added. Al Jazeera I could easily do without.
• Anna (9/5): Superb - Location is excellent. Bulding and apartment are very old, but this is what we appreciated. Even it is old, it is comfortable, kitchen is well equipped, shower is working, beds are OK. Recommended. I would suggest to repair the entrance door, it is really hard to open.
• Jennifer (8/5): Fantastic spot for exploring Gamla Stan. - Wonderful location in the heart of Gamla Stan. Cool to be in such a historical residence. Lots of room. Bathroom needs some updating as do furnishings. Ceilings are very low because it’s a historical residence, so if you’re tall it may be an issue.
• Susan (9/5): Perfect location and everything you need to feel at home in gamla stan! - Location was ideal for first time visitors right in the heart of the Gamla Stan. We rented 3 apartment for a family group of 11 with 3 generations. It felt like 19th century Sweden, just what I wanted! Bathrooms need upgrading but they worked fine and house was built in 13th century so what do you expect? It felt authentic and old world!
• Kateryna (6/5): Pleasant - Great location and clean apartment Our apartment was on the -1 floor. There was a terrible smell inside from the restaurants below. It is forbidden to open the windows in the apartment, it is impossible to air it out, all the clothes stank. it is good that we only stayed for one night. The light in the kitchen and bathroom did not turn on.

• Gidget69 (9/5): A wonderful stay overall—highly recommended! - The apartment was very large, full of charm, and beautifully preserved with original features. It had a lovely character that made the stay feel extra special. The location was absolutely fabulous—just steps from great restaurants, shops, and the palace. The bed was comfortable, making it easy to relax after a day of exploring. The only thing that could be improved is the check-in instructions—they were a bit outdated and caused some initial confusion. Updating them would make the arrival experience smoother.
• Carina (6/5): Nice flat - but the bathroom was a mess. - The apartment was clean, spacious, and the bed comfortable. This is always the case with these apartdirect flats. I have been staying with them several times. However, this particular flat has some problems. The bathroom could have been better. It was very diffcult - if not to say impossible - to adjust the heat in the shower, and there was hardly any showergel. Moreover, the tap in hand wash basin couldn not be turned off, so there was a lot of water running out of it, and nothing I could do about it. I feel these bathroom problems should be dealt with ASAP.

• Verified traveler (10/5): Nice apartment in Gamla Stan - Good place to stay and at a very affordable price. All worked well, place was as depicted in the pictures. Some things would need fixing, like the fan of the bathroom and the apartment could have an extra bed as it is very spacious.
