- Diego (8/5): - La habitacion es amplia y fresca. La cama muy comoda y el baño tambien muy amplio y bonito. El hotel es muy bonito La zona de la piscina y la terraza es muy bonita pero sin ambiente, cierran temprano la terraza en vez de aprovechar el espacio para ofrecer unos buenos cocteles porque el espacio es muy bonito y acogedor. No me gustó que el restaurante maneja unos precios muy elevados para el servicio, la comida y el ambiente del restaurante. La comida esta bien pero no como es un deleite como para cobrar platos tan costosos y me molestó que al desayuno pedi unos huevos secos y me los trajeron crudos, pedi que los hicieran mas pero el chef volvio a enviar los mismos huevos sin atender mi solicitud.

El desayuno fantástico, gran variedad, incluyendo fritos costeños. El servicio y atención de lujo. La piscina en el rooftop es perfecta y aprecio mucho que la música sea a bajo volumen, pues lo hace un lugar tranquilo y para relajarse. El rooftop genial para ver el bello atardecer. Todo perfecto

- Alcides Gaston (10/5): The ultimate Cartagena experience: stunning views, elite service, and the city’s best breakfast - Everything about this hotel is totally excellent. The property itself is stunning and exceptionally clean—I cannot emphasize enough how beautiful the design and atmosphere are. The staff is incredibly professional, helpful, and genuinely friendly. Their attitude is amazing; their first response to any request is always, "Yes, we can help you with that." It makes you feel truly looked after. A very special mention goes to the on-site restaurant, El Gobernador. After spending 15 days in Cartagena trying brunch and breakfast spots all over the city, I can confidently say that the best breakfast is right here in the hotel. It is worth staying here just for the breakfast alone! Another highlight is the rooftop terrace. It is exquisite, offering an incredibly beautiful view of the Old City and Cartagena. There is also a great bar up there to enjoy the scenery with a drink. I have no doubt that this is the best place for a relaxing and pleasurable stay. Do not hesitate to book it!

Obsługa przechowała nam bagaż kilka dni po check oucie co było miłe. Dystrybutor do pitnej wody i zestaw do herbaty w pokoju byłyby dobrym pomysłem.

- Paulina (9/5): - El Hotel es muy bonito, tiene una ubicación excepcional, el desayuno es fabuloso y y el sector de la piscina de la azotea muy cómodo y bonito. Tuvimos la suerte de ser atendidos en el desayuno por Gina, una señora muy preocupada y amable que nos enseñaba recetas colombianas todas las mañanas. Un agrado de persona! En general, la experiencia fue bastante buena, pero efectivamente hay espacio de mejora posibles. Una de ellas respecto a las instalaciones del gimnasio que es bastante pequeño y no muy cómodo. La atención en el bar de la piscina tampoco es muy eficiente. Excesivamente lento aún cuando no había casi nadie comiendo el día que nos tocó pedir almuerzo ahí. Esperamos más de una hora por platos muy simples y rápidos. El estándar de Servicio es algo disparejo. Si bien la las personas son amables, no hubo una gestión muy rápida de los requerimientos que hicimos. Pedimos ayuda con la organización de un Tour y quedamos a la espera de una respuesta que nunca llegó. Tuvimos que volverla a plantear el requerimiento para que se nos diera respuesta. Por otro lado, el aseo de la habitación no era del todo impecable y todos los días (estuvimos 4) faltaba algún tipo de insumo (reposición de toallas, cápsulas de café, papel higiénico…) por lo que tuvimos que estar llamando permanentemente a recepción para solicitar la reposición.

The staff needs more training in providing a luxury experience, they lack manners in customer service, and the service doesn't match the hotel's facilities. - Claire (10/5): - The staff were amazing, the location is excellent in walking distance of everything. The rooms are big and cleaning happens every day. I really loved the design of the hotel, the gym is a bit limited but it works for a person or two. Had two treatments at the spa which were great and the breakfast was good too. Above all, the service and friendliness is what stood out the most.

It was located in probably the best spot you could find. More great dining choices than you could imagine within a 3 min walk. The pool was amazing and the pool bartender was the friendliest guy you'll ever meet. Five stars!

- Carmen (7/5): Un buen hotel en una zona segura - La zona del hotel es excelente, centro histórico de la ciudad. Me pareció segura. Hay un muy buen centro comercial a dos calles (La Serrezuela). Las instalaciones son buenas y la limpieza excelente. La atención por parte de todo el personal, excelente. Atentos y amables. Tuvimos un problema con la habitación, muy ruidosa y con algún problema de tuberías. Se esforzaron por cambiarnos y solucionar el problema. El restaurante es excelente y nada caro en comparación al entorno. Viajamos con una niña, y se esforzaron por buscar opciones sencillas para su comida. La piscina y el roof top, fantásticos. La primera habitación que nos dieron, 111 en planta baja, era ruidosa y tenía problemas de tuberías y mala presión en la ducha. Sin embargo, se esforzaron enormemente por cambiarnos a una igual, más alta y sin ninguno de estos problemas. Ningún otro aspecto negativo.

Every single person we encountered—from the bellboys, reception, and restaurant staff to room service—went above and beyond to make our stay special. What meant the most to me was how much love and care they showed my wife and my son. They weren’t just welcoming us as guests, they made us feel like family. Whether it was a friendly smile, remembering little details, or simply making sure we were always comfortable, their attention and thoughtfulness touched us deeply. Cartagena is beautiful on its own, but the people at Bastión Luxury Hotel are what truly made our trip unforgettable. We left with full hearts, grateful for the memories we made and the kindness we experienced. This is not just a hotel—it’s a place where you feel seen, cared for, and truly at home.
- Jorge Eduardo (10/5): - Beautiful hotel and great service, with a few areas to improve I had a very pleasant stay at Hotel Bastión. The property is beautiful, luxurious, and truly welcoming. The design and atmosphere create a unique experience, and the staff was kind and professional throughout my visit. However, I did have to leave one night earlier than planned due to a force majeure situation, and I found the hotel to be rather inflexible about adjusting the reservation accordingly. It would have been appreciated to receive a bit more understanding in that regard. The only real downside was breakfast — both in terms of quality and the time it took to get service from the kitchen. There's definitely room for improvement there. Overall, I would recommend this hotel and would gladly return.

- Vladia (10/5): Historic, peaceful, luxurious, convenient. - I loved that the hotel was located in a quiet part of the historic town, yet just a few minutes' walk from the busier, touristy areas with plenty of restaurants and shops nearby. The staff were amazing: friendly, professional, and incredibly helpful. It’s truly a guest-focused hotel. The historic building has been beautifully renovated, with open-air spaces, a stunning rooftop, and a relaxing pool. Access to the rooftop pool and pool bar is reserved exclusively for guests, which made it feel even more special. Our room was spacious, luxurious, and very quiet. The breakfast buffet was excellent, and there were also à la carte options available.
