Guest Reviews
- Arthur (10/5): - A smaller hotel in Patong which is only a few minutes walk to OTOP bars and shopping and 10 minutes walk to Patong beach and 15 minutes to the popular Bangla road.
The staff at the hotel are amazing and nothing is any trouble.
- angie (6/5): - Bedroom with balcony get noisy too loud everyday Internet connected nor good.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - It’s an ordinary hotel, it is in the centre of Phuket Patong,10 minutes walk to bangla Road and 10 minutes walk to the beach.
You can hear a lot of noise from outside so sleeping can be an issue at night and it’s a run down hotel where it needs a bit of refurbishing.
- Will (8/5): - Someone designed a wonderful rooftop pool and then ran out of money to properly design the rest of the hotel. Breakfast was minimal
- Kerry Ann (10/5): - Only 1 trouble - I am older and not agile, and I could not get into the pool easily. Once I was in the pool, I could not get out - someone had to help me. It was difficult and embarrassing. The stairs are too far apart however the staff told me they will be renovating the pool soon.
Everything else was wonderful and the staff certainly looked after me very carefully. Thank you for a great stay!
- Salvatore (10/5): - Great place to stay staff. Excellent Pool, excellent air conditioning. Excellent shower water pressure fantastic
- WAI HUNG (8/5): - Fair good , management good ,step by step
- MOORTHY (10/5): - Pool love the view n rm good
- Chad (10/5): - The pool, location and staff are amazing. It’s low key and very relaxing. A smaller hotel with less guests making it much more relaxing and chilled.
- Marko (8/5): Siisti pikku hotelli hyvällä paikalla - Kiva pikku hotelli jossa palvelu toimii.
- Markus (10/5): alltid lika trevligt!
- Kevin (10/5): Awesome place to relax - This was my third stay at the Meir Jarr. .a very welcoming Hotel with awesome staff..i really enjoy their hospitality everytime i stay...nicely priced...awesome view from the roof top infinity pool area...the restaurant has an excellent choice of both local Thai and foreign delicacies...and not to forget the massage's in house also...i will be back😀😀😀
- Kal (4/5): - Too much of cockroach in the room ...but the good thing they did when we had this issue, they changed the hotel for us.... and the second hotel was fine... it was under same company.
- chris (10/5): 10/10 - Was a awesome stay beautiful place awesome roof top pool amazing staff very welcoming very clean room I recommend..
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Pool was gorgeous with sea view plenty of choice for breakfast my son got suncream on bedding after being in pool and i sweated in night and got hair dye on pillow case they said it couldn't be washed and charged 2000 baht £53 on day of leaving they went to check room and a towel was missing they demanded i went back to room and find it i had put it in wash box outside room so they checked in storage to see if i had . Because of these reasons i would never stay at hotel again i left 3 new towels that were better than we were given
- Ryan (10/5): Great hotel near many attractions in Phuket - My girlfriend and I really enjoyed our stay. For a reasonable price the hotel felt like a Holiday Inn, much better than most budget hotels in Thailand. The pool was also amazing and the selling point for our stay.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Swimming pool on the roof was nice and clean but there was no shade to get out of the sun
- Lim (6/5): Phuket Holiday - Medium size hotel in a very busy section of phuket. Location is good & nearby Patong beach. The only complain is the hotel is old & need some refurbish done. The hot water shower is difficult to control & need some repair. Breakfast is ok, but not many choices. Some of the room have cigarette smell.
- FRANZ (6/5): Not very good - The hotel was good but the service was not very good, and the maintenance of the rooms was incomplete
- jetin (6/5): - Stayed here before also
They have an amazing roof top pool
Staff was always smiling & ready to help
Disappointed with the bathroom facilities & options at breakfast
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Very friendly staff, great rooftop pool area, and convenient location. Would definitely stay again.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Good location, friendly and efficient staff.
Amazing swimming pool
flott takterrasse
hyggelig betjening
Finnes nok bedre hotell for samme pris
Men for all del helt ok
- Ben (2/5): - The Hote list unfortunately dirty and it is not repaired
- Richard (4/5): Exiting from Pool & WI-FI - Stairs from pool defective, older guests had difficulty getting out of pool
WI-FI only lasted 5 minutes NOT continuous
- Maria Irina Cap (6/5): - The hotel was Ok for us Regarding the price we’ve paid But it can be more well cleaned.
- Sivathasan (8/5): Good. - Stay was good for the price. Could be better.
- azmi (10/5): Fantastic value! - I've stayed in many hotels in phuket, and I can say that Meir Jarr has become my number 1. Excellent rooftop pool and bar with a great view, nice rooms that are spacious and clean, awesome thai massage on the ground floor, great location (walking distance from Soi Bangla but far enough from the noise) and all for a fantastic price! It's not perfect though, as the TV signal was weak and some might find the bed a little stiff, but these are minor blemishes on an awesome experience. If you're looking for a place to stay in Patong, look no further.
- Wesley (6/5): Not as good as my previous stay - Stayed at this hotel before and it's great by Thai standards however this time felt that standards have slipped a little.Staff not as friendly as before nor helpful.Still a great place just might try elsewhere next time
- Amanda (8/5): - The hotel is nice and the rooftop pool and views were amazing
- paul (2/5): Meir Jarr, Patong Phuket - The staff were friendly but the motel is still suffering from the tsunami aftermath and bad maintenance program..
we stayed in 2 rooms as the first one was very noisy from the street and the shower was very dirty from mould .. the second room we stayed in was much quieter but had major problems with water leaking in the room from the windows, from the roof and a terrible smell from what appears to be shower or toilet water running under the tiles from the bathroom to under the bed.
girlfriend walked out and did not want to return so of a 3 week paid booking we only stayed for 5 days.. no refund offered
would not stay there again
- Gazza (8/5): Meir Jarr is a nice hotel close to everything - The hotel staff are very friendly and always make you feel welcome. The room was comfortable and the aircon worked great which was nice since it was very hot in Patong. We spent a lot of time at the infinity pool and bar on the roof of the hotel and the view from up there is great. The 395 baht cocktail buckets are a highlight will laying beside the pool. The all you can eat breakfast is good and the food in the restaurant is quite good also.
- Belle (10/5): Well finished, clean hotel - Very well decorated hotel, very clean and staff were helpful, located very close to beach and markets.
- steven (2/5): - I do not know what has happen there but the service check in counter was bad person did not know how to check people in not good at all.
- stan (8/5): Nice hotel close to everythink . - Lady on booking table
for motorbike hire was great and the breaky staff and food was good cheers ☺
- Karlos (2/5): Inexpensive and the Worse - The hotel personnel is very aggressive when comes to money. They harrass customer over the phone to come downstairs to make a little payment. You tell them that you going and 2 mins later they are calling again.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Nice stay at a good discount:) - we bought with good discount in hotels.com. At this price it was a good option to similar hotels. To buy for full price I think it would be very expensive
- Susan (10/5): Hidden gem - Lovely hotel, good for the nightlife and shopping but far enough away for it to not disturb your sleep. Gorgeous rooftop pool and really comfy rooms . Will always choose this hotel when visiting Phuket
- Susan (10/5): Quiet friendly and amazing - Absolutely love this hotel! It's a 5 min walk from the beach, just far enough away from the bars and Bangla road that it doesn't disrupt your sleep. Staff are always extremely friendly and always there to help and the roof top pool is brilliant! Cannot fault this hotel
- Greg (4/5): - I had the worst food poisoning from the restaurant I've ever had in my life from a marinara pizza. I would not eat there ever again.
- Kanokporn (10/5): Comfortable - The view from the top was nice. The swimming pool on the top is really great also beautiful in night time. Romantic atmosphere when the light is turn on in the pool.
The service was nice and the room is very comfortable.
- chop (10/5): Great - This hotel for the money u pay is excellent
The staff is geart
They always try to help as much as they can
- jason (10/5): Just a great place to stay - The room was kleen every day with clean towels
Beds made
- Verified traveler (10/5): - I stay at Meir Jarr every time i go , is a very friendly and clean , in a good location away from main hussle and bussle , beach right behind , has a great roof top pool .
- Verified traveler (2/5): Never again - The only good thing about this hotel would be the rooftop deck and pool area everything else would not give a rating at all for a start the buffet breakfast was the worst buffet I've ever seen the room me and my partner had was disgracefully small with a balcony not worth a pinch of salt also I had friends staying at the same time there rooms was a bit better size but they all good attack by bed bugs in spent lot of money on spray to kill the bugs and also lot of money on creams to stop the bites they had all over their legs. ... very disappointed also one more thing a little bit of hair do I ran out of my partners hair on the pillow and they charged as 300 for a new pillow
- pieter (10/5): must stay here amazing place - my wife and i have stayed at 5 places in the patong area and this was by far was the best and the cheapest place we have stayed at,the roof top pool was amazing and the views were spectacular, ill will be returning here next year and for many more years to come,
- Verified traveler (4/5): Nice infinity pool on rooftop - This hotel has a nice infinity pool on its rooftop.
- Milena (10/5): Value for money - I had stayed in other hotels but i will come back for sure to this Meir jarr.. value for money is excelent!
- excellent stay (10/5): Lovely hotel.lovely staff. - Stayed here for 8 nights 12 aug to the 21 aug.the hotel is lovely and clean.i had a great deal booked via expedia. Deluxe room. Twin beds with breakfast.lovely clean room and ensuite.a/c was great .wi fi streamed really well.infinity pool/area was amazing.the staff here.reception.dining room and cleaning ladies were just so nice.helpfull.allways got a greeting and nice big smile.meir jarr is a 5/10 minute walk from beach.7/11 shop over the road and plenty of taxis and tuk tuks around.thanks for a great stay.a good advert for thailand and thai people.i will be back ☺
- nigel (8/5): Nice room clean and tidy. great pool area with bar - Nice place to stay close to the beach and a short 10 minute walk in Bangla road
- Aaron (8/5): A great place to stay.... - The hotel condition was great, nice and Friendly staff. Breakfast served did not have a great spread but was average. Biggest disappointment was that our number one priority was the Infinity Pool but it was closed due to maintenance even though the hotel had over 85% occupancy.Overall a good stay with everything close to the hotel
- Keith (8/5): Patong - Good value for hotel with hotels.Com
- Ryan (10/5): Lovely stay - Lovely stay. The room was a nice size, cool due to good air conditioning, great bed and bathroom and a good location. Busy road outside didn't stop me from sleeping and a 5 minute walk from the beach.
- Verified traveler (2/5): Horrible hotel. Horrible staff. - Worst hotel I have ever stayed in. I have never been in a hotel that had a staff as rude as this hotel had. They often answer questions by looking at the ground. Most of the time they would scream the answer at you.
My room had small bugs in it. The furniture was old. The shower had extremely hot or extremely cold water but no in between. The toilet handle would get stuck and the tolet would run all day. The white duvet cover was never changed during my stay. Hard rock Casino is 1 block away so you could hear singing and extremely loud cover songs until about 3 am.
- like to relax (4/5): Fantastic swimming pool - Breakfast was less than average, mostly Thai food. Lots of noise from Hard Rock Cafe.
- Verified traveler (10/5): We loved staying at the Meir Jarr. - Staff were amazing and bookd all our tours and gave advice on the best ones. Meir Jarr is close to the beach and restaurants and Bangala road for a night out 😜 we wound definatly stay here again and bring the kids next time 😍
- Jamie (10/5): Clean and Comfortable! - The room was very clean and very comfortable for a great price! I would highly recommend staying at this hotel in the heart of Patong. It is pretty amazing how nice of a place you can stay in for very little money.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Great and awesome hotel. - We stayed there for 7 nights and found the hotel rooftop pool with great stunning views of the town and sunset. The spectacular view is brightly lit at night with complimentary music from nearby Hard Rock cafe. Dining at the rooftop poolside is just awesome.
The rooms are simple with LCD tv and free WiFi. We found the bed really comfortable and every time when I lay down on it, I will fell asleep soundly like a baby....
The buffet breakfast is reasonable with hams, sausages, baked beans, potatoes, fried mee or rice, porride, salads, cereals and breads, fresh fruits and juices, coffee and tea etc. There is also a counter to order omelette, fried or boil eggs too.
Meir Jarr kitchen culinary is simply fantastic as the food cooked by them is really delicious and we enjoy our meals there. They also have a singer, Mr Charlie, whereby his oldies songs will make your meal more enjoyable and relax.
Their massage parlour is another amenity to enjoy as me and my wife totally love their massage services.
Thumbs up to Meir Jarr Hotel and I'll be back again. Keep it up and well done.
- Yuguang (6/5): okay stay for the money but had better at patong - Okay stay overall but would rather pay extra for a more premium hotel. Kinda felt like a motel 6 in some ways but with boutique beds and decorations.
- Chean (10/5): A really comfortable and enjoyable stay - everything was good, right from check in to check out. Room was very well maintained and clean, with fresh bottled water and bathing amenities + towel replenished daily.staff were courteous and tried their best to help even though their level of english was quite basic. breakfast varied daily, and was decent. overall a really enjoyable stay & definitely value for money.
- Joe (10/5): 7 night holiday stay - 6th floor room facing the HardRock Cafe, I was not bothered by the load music, as other reviews have indicated. No smoking in the hotel, but there is designated area for that near the lobby, and you could smoke from the balcony. Breakfast was pretty average, with eggs cooked to order. Tours and taxis canbe booked from the lobby. 10 minute stroll to the beach, and 15 minute walk to Bangla Road. Plenty of variety from the Meir Jarr Cafe, with pool service. The pool on the roof is great!!! Hotel is just far away enough to give you a relaxed atmosphere, but is minutes away from everything. I was satisfied 100%.
- Tamara (10/5): Boys trip - We had the most amazing time. We will be back again
- Daniel Poh (8/5): - Good location and easy accessible to the Patong beach. Good breakfast and nice view from the poolside.
- Ina (8/5): All in all a good hotel - A little noisy if you get a room facing the street, but earplugs help. Great pool on 7th floor, everything is clean and the staff are very helpful and honest! There was something I forgot in the room as I was checking out the as I called in they helped me out and I came back few days after to collect it and it was punt aside for me. Quite close to the beach and over all great experience. Bare in mind beds are firm like everywhere in Thailand. Worked amazing for my back though. If you like continental or Thai breakfast it's great, takes time to find what to eat for vegeterians though except for amazing fresh fruit and pancakes. Hope that's helpful.
- peter (6/5): Nice hotel and good location - Room was good and aircon worked well. Room with Balcony facing steet was very noisy even though we were on the 5th floor. Pool is nice and open until midnight. Breakfast wasn't the best
