Guest Reviews
Schlecht: grosse Aussichtsfenster schmutzig.
Keine Deko ausser verblichenen, meist schäbigen Kunstblumen an einzelnen Stellen im Hotel. Für mich kein Hotel zum Wohlfühlen. Zimmer ging.
- Rand (8/5): - Clean motel, good paid parking. Only downside was there is no air conditioning.
- Tim (10/5): - Good value for the money. Guest room was clean. Would stay there again.
- Henk (8/5): - Prettige ontvangst, snel geholpen zonder veel administratie.

Danke
- Verified traveler (10/5): Perfect located hotel - We arrived at around 7pm on a Saturday and were surprised that no reception was there. But before we‘d got an e-mail with the access code (in french) to get in. I find the e-mail should’ve been in english though as I don’t speak french. However, we could get in.
The room is pretty big, the heater worked. The hotel location is just in front of the tram to downtown, which will get you in 15 mins.
- doughQ7560YU (10/5): Perfect Location in Heidelberg near the Neckar River, away from traffic and noise - I was pleasantly surprised with the Hotel Neckartal. It was VERY comfortable, easy check-in and a great host that spoke English. The location provided easy access to downtown Heidelberg (6km away) and to the A5 and A6 autobahns for day trips.
The breakfast was excellent for the $10 cost, including breads, cheese and cold cuts but also hot breakfast items like scrambled eggs, sausages and waffles. In the evening I could sit in the hotel bar and have a nice wine or a good beer.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Quaint rooms, super comfortable with great amenities. Excellent staff, outstanding breakfasts. The location is perfect for access to Heidelberg and the Autobahn.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - supersauber, tolles Frühstücksbuffet. Einchecken auch Nachts über Code möglich. Leider durch die Staustufe im Neckar laut.
- mysehnsucht (8/5): Out of the city - Without realising, we booked to visit Heidelberg during the German F1, which takes place at Hockenheim, closely located to Germany. For this reason, our room was slightly pricier than the hotel's usual rate. We were looking for a place to just relax ahead of a busy portion of our holiday, and we certainly found that here. The hotel is located in the green forest, overlooking the River Neckar, well outside of Heidelberg. There is a lot of fresh air to go around in this tranquil location.
The hotel itself is a little basic, with a decent breakfast and friendly service. There is no real restaurant, but there is an Italian restaurant and an Aldi in walking distance.
- JohannesS2285 (6/5): A good stay - Stayed here for one night. Our room was clean and clearly recently renovated. When you took a shower the water seemed to get everywhere, we needed to place our towels on the floor to be able to be in the bathroom afterwards. The service at the counter was friendly. The common areas could use a renovation, they’re a little old fashioned. The place is not too expensive though, which is nice if you’re on a budget. As an additional bonus they have free parking and you get to use their gym. It’s not that far from the city either especially if you’re travelling by car. Overall we had a good stay here.
- SG2014xx (10/5): Hotel perfectly located in massive greenery, great owners and comfy room - I chose this hotel because it was removed from Heidelberg a little. I was happy to see it was nestled in a small community of trees, trees and more trees-with a few houses. You can see the Neckar from here. Nice neighbourhood and importantly the owners of the hotel, Dave I think, was gracious, and fun to talk to talk to. He helped with my restaurant choices and my travel back to Mannheim. This was a quaint hotel with a fitness center with everything you can think of (treadmills, weights) AND a quater mile artificial running track 10 m from the hotel in the back.
I had the simple room, with a trin bed. It turned out to be perfect and comfy. Internet is super good and the Food served for breakfast is quite expansive with everything you'd want. Coffee is tasty and there is an espresso machine (no cost at breakfast but if you need one during the day, you pay 2.8euro (double macchiato). Need I say more. Cheers to the other staff who were always helpful and cheery.
Dave speaks English perfectly and you should stay here if you are in transit or need a refuge (like me) for a few days)
- djehade (6/5): Basic hotel - Basic hotel, excellent location to the orthopedic clinic Heidelberg. The hotel is clean, ok equipped and furnished rooms. There is a fitness center on the ground floor. Location is perfectly located if visiting the orthopedic clinic, 2 minutes walking distance
- 538glenc (8/5): Good hotel a little bit out of the city - I stayed in a single room on the first floor which was quite big by European standards. More than comfortable enough for what I wanted. I was early for check in and so went into the old centre of Heidelberg before returning. They knew my name, even though I hadn't told them the first time and check in was easy. The host then recommended an Italian restaurant call Il Sogno. It was a bit more upmarket than what I was intending but when I told the waiter the hotel had suggested his restaurant nothing was too much trouble.
The bed was comfortable and the shower really hot.
Breakfast is probably a little expensive at 10€, but I made a couple of rolls for lunch so I'm pretty sure I got value for money.
- AmandaRhodeIsland (6/5): Rooms are large for Europe - Hotel is over a fitness center . It has a restUrant in the same area you check in . A full breakfast buffet is served . The room we were in the bathroom heater would not shut off so it was very in the bathroom . Outside our window was a soccer field . The very positive feature of this hotel is it's nearness to the public bus stop and the train station . One could take the bus into the historic Heidelberg town thus avoiding high parking fees . Bus was under 3 euros from hotel .
- T8128LDstephenp (8/5): Inspect and enjoy - Stayed 3 nights here whilst travelling Europe and were very pleased with the clean quality fitout of the hotel. Externally you would think twice but on inspection great value for money. Owner/manager speaks fluent English which made it easy for us. His favourite saying is "no problem" and he means it. €10 pp breaky is ok value for money with plenty of variety.
- GaryR2649 (8/5): Mr - Location is an easy 7kilometres from the centre of Heidelberg a long the river .We noted you could either walk train or bus.We biked(flat ride) We arrived in a 9 metre Motorhome and the hotel was able to provide good parking. The amenities are clean and exceptable with a good breakfast package and a gymnasium that is comprehensive and includes classes such as yoga . In summary the hotel offers very good value for money and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it. Cheers from Team New Zealand
- cctgrti (10/5): "Very Friendly Hotel" - Very nice hotel, situated in a quiet and pleasant area just outside Heidelberg. The owner was extremely welcoming and friendly. The room was spacious, very clean and comfortable, with a balcony overlooking a beautiful pine forest. The bathroom was well equipped, with everything provided. Free parking and wi-fi.
The restaurant was good with a limited range of dishes but what we ordered (pasta with salmon and asparagus) was well cooked and very tasty. The owner went out of his way to accommodate our request for dessert, (strudel) even though it wasn't on the menu!
Altogether a very pleasant experience. Would stay there again and recommend it to other travellers.
- davem827 (8/5): Nice out-of-town hotel - This hotel is east of Heidelberg, but a pleasant walk from the S bahn station, so if you are on a Eurail pass it is included in the price. The room was very quiet and clean, and the staff was very nice. The local community across the bridge had a nice/inexpensive Turkish restaurant as well
- Bk27509 (8/5): Nice hotel outside Heidelberg - Nice hotel. The hotel is about 10 mins outside of Heidelberg by car. There is good parking. Wi-Fi was working fine. The bed was comfortable. Hotel was quiet and clean. Staff was friendly and efficient. The only drawback is there not much around if you do not travel by car. Nice walking path nearby.
- cdc121 (8/5): Very Nice-Great value - Loved it here! Very Friendly front desk staff, clean, nice room and we were upgraded to a room with a balcony that was fabulous! We had a car so being away from city centre with free convenient parking was a true plus!. close to main road into the city made sight-seeing very easy.
- JacoKleynhans (8/5): Something different, very special - We drove from Ghent in Vlaandere to Bozen in South Tyrol and only stayed over for one night. Wil certainly come back again. A very nice, though basic hotel with beautiful views, a great and affordable breakfast and friendly service. The rooms are not fancy but are clean and well furnished.
- JulieB734 (8/5): Peaceful and quiet location - Enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The staff were friendly and helpful. Had a couple of very nice meals in the restaurant, nothing fancy but good food, and it was very popular with the locals too which is always a good sign. Weather was awful but can't blame the hotel for that.
- ADR76 (8/5): Good deal - I have stayed there twice, rooms have always been very clean. Breakfast I think was 9 euro and was very good. The hotel is a few kilometers away from Heidelberg, rooms on the rear have a nice view to pine forest, but in the afternoon there are sport classes for kids as there is a sport facility in the hotel.
