Guest Reviews
- Meredith (10/5): - Very close to fair ground and food places. Very clean and nice staff.
- Jessie (10/5): - Parking eas fine Ac worked great and so did the heat. Staff were all great room was good and clean.
- S David (10/5): - Renovated, some road noise
- Richard (10/5): - Older property, but was very clean and the manager and family were nice. Comfortable bed, good heating/AC, shower, refrigerator and microwave. Everything I needed.
- Stephen (8/5): - The hosts are outstanding people, ready to do whatever it takes to make your stay comfortable!
- Anne (10/5): - We were in town for an Antique Motorcycle Rally centered around the Wheels Through Time Museum. Our location was absolutely perfect. The room was clean and spacious for our needs as we weren't planning to spend much time in there. the Staff is so kind and accommodating. There was side parking spaces on site for trucks and trailers and motocycles ( or your car ) can be parked right in front of your door. Pool was sparkling clean. It's not super fancy, but quaint and quiet. Mom & Pop type facility. It was perfect for our needs and we would definitely book there again. (and so would our friends who actually stayed elsewhere and regretted it after visiting with us.) Owner was on site and very sweet. They are new owners and working very hard and it shows!!
- Stephen (8/5): - It was cute place to stay in the beutiful blue ridge mnt. In Maggie vally NC
- cathy (8/5): - Needs exhaust fans in bathroom’s. Air conditioner wasn’t all that cool
- Terry (8/5): - Kind of got this motel last minute and older motel great owner very accommodating for what we needed
- Donald (10/5): Highly recommend - Excellent stay,friendly staff,clean comfortable room,and great price,what more could you want
- Kevin (8/5): - Great place for the night. A little dated, but exceptionally clean and a comfy bed. Oh! And a nice hot shower!
- Tommy (10/5): - Very clean and comfortable
- Jeff (10/5): Awesome stay as always - The folks at Travel Lowe’s are amazing they make you feel like family very hospitable rooms are very clean and comfortable always stay here when traveling to North Carolina.
- Pat (10/5): - We will choose to stay here again. The room was spacious and clean. The extra space with table was especially convenient when two need a mirror at the same time to get ready to go out. Management could not have been nicer or available if needed. We especially appreciated the fluorescent lighting in bathroom-good lighting is seldom found in motels. And most important, the rates are very reasonable. We have stayed in several motels in Maggie Valley over the years during our annual mountain trips & this one is our top pick after this year.
- Stephen (10/5): - Owner is extremely nice and always available to make sure we were always happy with our stay. I highly recommend this motel if in the area.
- Lawrence (8/5): - This has the nicest property manager. They are super friendly and ready to help you if you need anything. Great location. We really enjoyed it. Room was a little small but we didn't care because we were not there much at all.
- Amy (10/5): Excellent Hotel and Very Friendly staff - Was great!! The guy in the lobby was so nice. First, he double checked the room before we stayed in it to make sure it was good. We accidentally overslept and he knocked on the door at 11 and was so nice. We left in a hurry and he called to tell us we left something behind. Will.absolutely stay here again. Highly recommend
- Wes (10/5): - Great place great owners
- Amanda (10/5): - This is a great area and very convenient for dining and activities. Very easy parking and transport access
- Rose (10/5): - Great stop over on way home. Granddaughter loved the pool.
- Tony (10/5): - We had a wonderful few days
- Gina (10/5): - Room was clean, shopping was convenient. Swimming pool was great.
- Jason (8/5): Love it but - Amazing hotel. Stay a lot, but only issue is the beds are hard. Great service. Clean rooms.
- Wes (10/5): - The owners and Staff are wonderful
The rooms are nice
The rocking chairs are the perfect touch
- Roscoe (10/5): - Great people. They make sure you have all you need. New beds. Very clean for an older motel. Right in the middle of town so everything is very accessible.
- Michael S (8/5): - Great location, friendly staff. Comfortable bed, lots of hot water. This place could be a whole lot better if it was updated. Rooms were very dated, furniture was old and beat up, curtains were ripped, door did not close correctly (door latch). A paint job would
- Christopher (8/5): I would stay again. - Is was a decent motel. It did have a strange somewhat strong odor, wasn't bad but weird. Could have been the detergent, deodorizer or something of that nature. The beds were comfortable and they had plenty of pillows which was great for me. I only seen one maintenance item and my wife pointed it out and that was the bathroom door wouldn't close.
- Wes (10/5): - Great staff great room
- MIKE (10/5): - The property owners were great. Only got a little noise from people in room above because of the wooden floor and they were in and out all night. But I would stay there again!
- Pamela (10/5): - This is a small, older property. Quiet, convenient, no frills… just right for my needs this trip. Good.👍
- Sam (10/5): Alwy - Management was responsive and communicated clearly, the room was clean and comfortable. Stayed here multiple times over the years, and it is always a go-to when I am in Maggie Valley. Solid stay at a reasonable price.
- Ronald (10/5): Comfortable and friendly - Family owned. Very helpful and friendly and extremely interested in making sure your stay is as enjoyable as they can make it.
- John (8/5): Bargain hotel - This motel offers rooms for a good price. Apparently, smoking was allowed in the room in the past. The room smelled of cigarette smoke. The motel does not allow smoking in the room now as there is a sign saying so on the door.
- Jason (10/5): Great hotel! - One of the best hotels I have stayed in for a business trip. Clean rooms. Clean pool. Nice size rooms and a great price. Beds were a bit too firm for my liking though.
- Madeline (10/5): Marie - Staff was friendly and helpful made sure you had everything you needed
- Theresa (10/5): - Definitely worth the trip Maggie Valley is awesome.. hotel is quite clean and reasonably priced.. staff is very friendly and nice..try joeys pancake house
- Jeff (10/5): - I got there a lil early the Staff were so nice at check in room was nice and clean
When leaving today they showed genuinely friendliness owner/manager was waving from the pool where he was maintaining
Great stay I stay here a lot when visiting
- Melissa (10/5): - The stay was awesome and they was really friendly and had beautiful view of the mountains. Love this place and we go back soon.
- Jacky (8/5): - It is a very nice place to stay, we were in the 2 story building on the first floor and you could hear everything that went on throughout the night not allowing a good nights sleep. and the hot water heater is not close so you have to run the hot water for a while before it gets to the faucet. the staff and owners were very friendly and kind just request a room in the single level section of the motel.
- Clay (8/5): - Owners were exceptionally friendly and accommodating. Clean and affordable lodging.
- Chris (10/5): - Great place to stay
- Wesley (10/5): - local and well run, old property but updated, great value!
- Della (10/5): Clean, Friendly, and Updated - Extremely friendly front desk clerk. Simple lobby. Clerk had us checked in, in a flash. We had stayed here before and was pleased then, but, when we opened the room this time it was updated and smelled very clean! We really enjoyed our stay!! I might add location, location, location! In the midst of everything. Otherwise, very walkable!
- CHARLES (10/5): Clean and convenient - Always a great stay
- Thomas (10/5): - When I seek the least expensive place to spend a night on the road I do not expect luxurious accommodations. And the Travelowe is an aging facility with worn furniture close to a road. But it is generally well maintained, very clean, and the bed was wonderful. No breakfast, but at this price that is expected. I wish all my "on the road" options were as wonderful as my night here.
- Jason (8/5): - First, the room was exceptionally clean, the beds were very comfortable and the staff was extremely friendly. My only issues were that the room and areas around the outside of the hotel are in need of some refurbishment. Cabinets, doors, carpet, the parking and breezeway area all show plenty of wear. Also, when we first arrived, the room had a very strong Indian spicy incense smell. It was so strong we bought some Fabreeze to combat it. After spraying Fabreeze that evening and the next morning, it was fine. Finally, there seemed to be some families and workmen living in some of the rooms at least semi-permanently. Maybe this is because of the resent Hurricane. But you could tell some of the vehicles in the lot had been sitting for a long time and we saw some kids get off a school bus and go into a room. They were not the children of the owners. Anyway, a mostly pleasant stay. But room for improvement too.
- Cindy (10/5): Very Helpful in Accommodating Us - Our room was nice and clean. The hotel staff was very friendly. We were pulling an enclosed trailer and they made sure we had somewhere safe to park it. They even let us keep it there after we checked out of our room. Very friendly people/staff.
- Jason (8/5): - Very easy access and convenient
- Kimberly (10/5): - the staff was great so friendly, the room was so clean, bed very comfortable, loved the rocking chairs on the front, everyone could sit and gather and visit. Met some great ppl , it was convenient to dining areas. Had a great stay would stay again
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Very friendly staff and great customer service.
- KELLY (10/5): - Was perfect for the price. Will definitely be back
- Chris (10/5): - Everything was fine
- Susan (10/5): Perfect little motel - Friendly folks clean and comfy nice pool great little mini vacay spot will be going for many more trips thanks to the hospitality at this little motel!
- Ronald (10/5): - Staff was courteous and helpful. The room was very clean and nice.
- Steven (10/5): - Great
- Kimberly (10/5): - Great place. I look forward to staying here again.
- Kevin (8/5): Hiking trip - Very friendly check in, clean and spacious room, comfortable bed.
- Barbara (8/5): - The staff was pleasant. check in was easy .we had a upstairs room by the highway so the traffic noise was noticeable but not terrible. The room was clean it was stated to be no smoking room but you could smell faint tobacco smoke on entry but after a few minutes it was not noticeable. The bed was comfortable. It had everything I needed for my stay . I would definitely stay here again . There had been a lot of new recent improvements
- Coleen (10/5): GREAT place to stay - This has become our FAVORITE place to stay in Maggie Valley! The owners are so so friendly. The rooms are not HUGE but they are comfortable and functional. Most importantly, they are CLEAN! There is no built up dirt along the edges of the furniture or base of the walls. The owner is in the process of updating and renovating the rooms, one by one. The location is quiet and safe and the pool is kept clean. The rocking chairs on the front stoop outside each room are one of the most relaxing amenities. The owners talk to the guests to ensure they are happy with their stay.
- Sarah (10/5): Maggie Valley Motel - Probably the best customer service I’ve ever experienced in a motel. We had car trouble and so can’t count how many times they checked on us and said to let them know if we needed anything. Would definitely recommend this place. My only issue was something in the room caused my allergies to flare, which caused me to have trouble sleeping. I spent most of the day outside both days, but as soon as I went in the room it started again.
- Carl (10/5): - Awesome hosts. Will stay again.
- Amanda (10/5): - The stay was perfect for the occasion. It was within walking distance to everything we needed. All the items we needed was there and it has a pool.
- Coleen (10/5): What a GEM! - This is a FABULOUS motel! There’s nothing fancy, the rooms are not giant but they are SPIC AND SPAN CLEAN and functional! The room was very cozy and comfortable, beds were also very comfortable and we’ve never seen an in-room fridge work so well. The pool was very clean and well kept. One of the owners of the property stopped by as we sat on the patio with our coffee, looking at the Mountain View, to ask if there was anything he could do, if there were any problems and we chatted for some time. VERY nice man! Parking is marked with the room number and is immediately outside your door and access to/from the parking lot is very convenient. As it’s centrally located, it’s an easy walk to Wheels Through Time Museum and all the little shops and restaurants. We will definitely be staying at this property every time we are in Maggie Valley
- Anne (6/5): - It was fine for a night stay. It did have new carpeting in the king bed room we stayed in which is much appreciated. The bed was super soft without much support. It was nice to sit out on the rocking chairs at night. It did take quite a bit of time to get hot water for the shower. Staff very friendly
- Holly (8/5): - Nice staff, weak WiFi.
- theron (10/5): - 4 stars
- Heather (10/5): Will stay again. - Excellent host. They came to my room to make sure we had everything and that we were satisfied. It was quiet, clean, had a very nice atmosphere. Felt safe. No complaints and the price was GREAT but the service and staff really made it.
- Beverly (10/5): - We were there for the Thunder in the Smokies Bike Rally. Our room was very clean and the owners were extremely friendly and accommodating to our large group. Highly recommend and we will be staying there in the future.
- Stephen (10/5): Enjoyed - Great little motel with.clean rooms and attentive staff. 2 rockers outside of rooms and a pool would definitely recommend.
- kimberly (10/5): Clean and friendly - The person that greeted me at ther desk when I checked in late in the evening was super friendly and helpful. This place is not fancy but, it is spotless and just across the street from a great southern breakfast restaurant. I'd stay here again.
- Michele (10/5): - Beautiful location and everyone is friendly and helpful! Close to restaurants, gas, shopping and laundry!we absolutely love this placce and would definitely stay here again!
- Richard (10/5): Outstanding service - Very friendly and accomodating. Very clean.
- Catherine (10/5): - Service was awesome & friendly. 2nd visit & rooms were upgraded & clean. The king size bed was very comfortable. The motel was safe & quiet. Will definitely be staying again next year! Best value for the money!
- Martha (10/5): Excellent - Office staff was extremely accommodating and very friendly. Room was very clean and updated. Will make this our go to place to stay every time we are here, which will be frequently in the near future.
- Benny (10/5): Great hotel in the middle of Maggie Valley - I loved staying at this hotel while out riding the roads for three days. It was a nice place to come back to after a long day out. The hotel is right near Pop’s for breakfast and within walking distance to other places for lunch or dinner. It’s also walking distance to the motorcycle museum.
- Phyllis (10/5): - The room was pleasant with a breeze from the mountains and secure screened windows, plus a rocking chair beside my door. My room was very clean and comfortable. I was very impressed that the air unit was toward the back of the room away from the beds, and it only ran when needed per the thermostat. When it did run, it was very quiet. A for that
- Rick (10/5): - The front desk guy was very nice, got what we ask for. Good stay, i wish we were not so close to the road and it’s not like it was busy. Overall a good value.

The room was clean and bed was very comfortable.
They had a microwave and spacious fridge. For $56 a night I received more than expected.
Highly recommend!!!
- Kimberly (6/5): - Man at desk was super nice. Rooms need to be updated but were clean. We got very cold as the heater is back towards the bathroom with only a doorway to allow heat/air to move into sleeping area.
- Lawrence W (8/5): - Nice place and rooms are big enough. They were clean and looked good inside. The beds were a little hard to sleep on. Would stay here again.
- Brian (10/5): - Room was very clean and comfortable. Very close to shopping and restaurants. Will definitely stay here again.
- Carina (10/5): - Room was great and had a great stay and the people were very nice made our stay even better.
- Evan (10/5): - Nice location great service
- Nancy (10/5): - We had issues the first night with the party above us being loud. We put in a call to mgmt and they went above and beyond what was needed to fix the situation. They even fixed us a room on the other side of the motel away from others converting a queen room into a king. So sweet but thankfully we didnt have to move as the party above quieted down. The mgmt was so very apologetic too! Great people! We will be back! The building is old as are all the hotels
In Maggie Valley NC but rooms were spotless and they r gradually updating. Everything was good, bed, bedding, tv & bathrooms! Thx!
- Jose (10/5): - Nice hotel. Upgraded. Great price.
