We had a difficult time going up/down stairs with our disabilities & our dog would not go up them….we tried several times!! No pet area for him to relieve himself other than a small piece of dirt we could barely stand on! The sink in the room was sooo clogged with hair you couldn’t brush your teeth or wash your hands….how did the maid miss that….it was disgusting!! Wish I had taken pictures but I did report issues to front desk when we departed

They were noisy during the late afternoon, music booming from a large SUV, feral children in the evening playing knock and run on other doors, loud arguments after midnight with little regard for other residents. Other than that the hotel was clean and functional.

Edward (10/5): Great place to stay in Bishop! - We needed a clean comfortable place to stay. Motel 6 in Bishop didn’t disappoint! Very nice upgraded room. We never heard any neighbors and our first floor room looked great with a comfortable king size bed. Would definitely recommend this place as an outstanding value when staying in Bishop!

This was by far the best room we've had on a month-long road trip for cleanliness and physical working of things (toilet seats, doorknobs, faucets, etc.) This was greatly appreciated!
Janet (6/5): - The girl at the front desk was very pleasant and helpful in telling me the restaurant I had seen online was a good place to eat. She was very friendly and apologized that there weren't any ground floor rooms. Our reservations had been made weeks ahead and it was a Tuesday night so I wasn't sure why they were so busy. Our room was upstairs which was inconvenient as we are in our late 70's and carrying our luggage upstairs wasn't that easy. After dinner my husband pulled back the sheet to get into bed and there was a large dark area which looked similar to a dirty shoe print on the sheet. We called the front desk and she brought us a clean sheet. In the morning a landscaper was using a blower right outside of our door. We were already awake but I thought it wouldn't have been very pleasant to be woken by that.

At the time of booking, was the cheapest motel I could find, but the amenities, cleanliness, proximity to restaurants and stores are just as the same as other inns and motels in Bishop only they charge more.

Richard (8/5): Perfect Motel for Hikers coming off the mountains. - I had shipped a box to the motel 6, and when I arrived the front desk attendant ensured I had the box delivered to my room within 10 minutes. The room was clean, comfortable, and very updated. I was happy with my stay there. I am a returning customer. I spent 2 days there last year and was assisted just then too. Thank you for being ready for our arrival. My group rented 4 rooms on 8/6/25. Other members in my party included the Davis family, Siemeck family, Ramos Family, and the Bove family.
Gerald (4/5): Never again at this location. - I've stayed at several Motel 6 locations and been pleased with all of them, but not this one. I went to my room and there was toilet paper in the toilet. I called the front desk and the attendant said, "I'm sure that room was just cleaned so I think it's fine." Rather than push it I decided I'd take soap and a rag and wash the toilet seat. But, the toilet wouldn't flush...it wasn't plugged, just not enough pressure to flush. So I moved to another room. In this room the shower head was leaking and spraying on the ceiling and wall. It had been doing it so long the plaster was coming off. At this point they didn't have any other rooms for me so I decided I'd just live with that. Then I thought I'd just go take a dip in the pool. Put on my trunks, went to the pool, and there was a sign on the gate that it was Out of Order. As the title of this review says, I'll never stay here again, although I'm often up and down the 395.

Virginia (4/5): - Staff was great. We reserved a king room and got a queen. The mattress was so deformed that I had to try not to fall off the bed. I hardly slept. The condition of the bathroom amenities was atrocious. When we first entered the room, the toilet was running. I tried to call the front desk , but the phone was broken, so I fixed the toilet myself. The bathtub was a valley. I almost fell. The shower head was spraying out of the back and front which caused mildew on the wall that obviously wasn’t ever cleaned. The floor entering the bathroom was squishy. I didn’t expect the Ritz Carlton, but I wasn’t expecting a dump either. The rate we paid was way too high for this room.
Sam (4/5): Very disappointing from a trusted brand. - The only positive thing to say is that the room seemed to be newly renovated. However, the beds were very uncomfortable, the pillows ineffective, and the linens had holes in them. There are no coffee making facilities in the room, and housekeeping did not visit the room during our 3-night stay to refresh cups, towels, soap etc. Our toilet screeched due to a pressure build up (one presumes) which kept waking us up in the night, and there were ants which quickly found any food left out on the table or counter space; we informed the front desk of these issues and to our knowledge they were not addressed. The pool was also out of order with no explanation as to why or when it would be open again, very disappointing when it is 100F outside.

Parking is not nearly enough spaces. One night parked in Best Western (next door). Front desk personnel friendly and helpful. BUT IS A A PLACE GOOD ENOUGH FOR SAFE SKEEPING. Would stay again providing pricing is in line with property condition… which this time it was. Most of the time it is not!

Samson (2/5): - This is my second stay at Bishop Motel 6 in several days. The toilet tank, at times, produced a continuous high-pitched squeaking noise. I had to use earplugs for my sanity. The wifi was horrible. When available, the speed was about 160 Kbps.
Samson (6/5): - Motel 6 in Bishop is generally OK for its price. I would have rated higher if not for 1. Very thin blankets. I had to put on my long pants and hoodie to sleep comfortably. Next time, I'll look for or ask for extra blankets. 2. Very slow wifi and a system that would log you device out if it's idle for a period of time, and you have to log in again. It's a pain in the neck.

Nohemi (10/5): - I was looking for a hotel to stay while hiking in Bishop. I have stayed at others but there was no vacancy. So I took a chance to Motel 6- I was hesitant and a bit scared due to some comments- but I was surprised of the cleanliness and state of the room. No critters, which has been a problem in other motels in the area. The fridge does makes noice as well as the air conditioning but it’s actually kinda white noise that help me sleep. The price was right, and felt safe there. You have to be realistic: Bishop and the surrounding cities are a bit old. Therefore, the place is a bit modern for the city at that price range, and I do recommend this place.

Carla (10/5): - Will be returning! We love staying in bishop, whether we are staying in the area or going up to Mammoth. The location is great; the rooms were clean and surprisingly REALLY spacious. We got a double bed room and it was very big. Had all the utilities we needed and even a cute little corner sofa. Very tiny but we that was in addition to the desk/table. The pool was a bonus for my kids. The price was very reasonable and the staff was friendly.
