Charles-Olivier (8/5): - If you are looking for a resort vibe, on a small scale, that is family friendly, this is a great option. We were looking for a little bit of peace and quiet to recharge our batteries and it is exactly what we found staying at the Novotel. Great service, nice infrastructures, lots of food options on site and a pool to enjoy the sun without the crowds of Candolim Beach. The hotel is well located, the beach is a 9-minute walk. The staff was very helpful and keen to give us tips and tricks. Beware of taxi services in the area. Although it has nothing to do with the hotel, it is worth mentioning that it is quite a challenge to move around in Goa for a reasonable price, especially when you are leaving a resort like this (Uber and Goa Miles don’t really work and the fares proposed by drivers are way higher than anywhere else in India). Do your research in advance. Again, nothing to do with the hotel itself, but it can impact your decision. If you are looking for a place to chill, we recommend!

Rimal (8/5): - The service was great and the staff were very accommodating. The hotel feels a bit worn out and needs a bit of an uplift for Novotel standards and the price you pay. Also, they don't have enough pool lounges to accommodate the resort occupancy. If you do not get to the pool early, it's very hard to find a lounge for you to relax. The whole pool is in the shade of a huge tree, which is great, however the pool water is always freezing cold. There are also lots of berries form the tree on the bottom of the pool. The pool also is very unsafe as it has tiles missing especially on the floor so you have to be very careful when walking around the pool. Most of the edges of the pool are also very unsafe as the tiles are not flush and hence there is a rough edge which can cause cuts. The area around the pool is also very slippery, which caused quite a few people to slip and fall. The breakfast was great and had a great variety. They also made fresh omelets, Dosas and Uthappams. Room service was good, however we often had to call multiple times to get a bucket of ice! They had a Christmas day buffet lunch with drinks for Rs 2500 per person, which was great. Overall, the food and service were great, however the pool and accommodation let us down for Novotel standards. Location is great as it is walking distance to the main road (approx 7 minutes) where there are lots of shops and restaurants and about a 15 minute walk to the beach which was great as well.
Stephen (8/5): A very pleasant stay close to Candolim beach - Large, spacious hotel. Rooms set alongside a large, airy atrium area. Room was reasonably-sized, clean and comfortable. Well-equipped bathroom, WiFi worked throughout. Staff were friendly and helpful, allowed us to store bags and helped with a taxi to airport. Breakfast was good, a large spread including omlets cooked to order, not busy too. The outdoor area was nice with a play area for children. However, the one disappointment was the condition of the pool - loose and broken tiles not ideal, especially for youngsters. Located on a quiet lane close to Candolim Beach Road and beach area.

Manoj (8/5): Not my first choice - The hotel is located quite far from the main road, and the balcony furniture was damaged. Also, the sliding doors were difficult to open. Other than that, the stay was fine, but compared to other good hotels I’ve stayed at in Goa, this one was just average.
Gerard (10/5): Awesome service at the Novotel Candolim spa - We had an excellent stay. Of special mention are the staff at the Food Exchange. Our son is a special needs child who eats a very limited range of foods. They made every attempt to take care of our kids.A special shout out to Avi, Shubada, Shailendra, Chef Mahendra and the rest of the team. A big thank you!

Dave (6/5): - Another Novotel fail. Property was tired, outdated, Had to request a room change due the overpowering smell of sewerage emanating from the bathroom. They sent someone up with a bottle of air freshener!! I sent him away and enforced the room change. I will not knock the room staff efforts as they certainly were very willing to assist and serve generally. Except the breakfast staff who acted like they’d only just crawled out of bed, grumbling and scowling Not a chance I’ll use the Novotel or Accor chain of hotels ever again

Hitin (10/5): Novotel Goa spa resort - This was my wife and I first time in Goa. We chose Novotel based on its excellent reputation and we had stayed in Cairo at that Hotel. Although the actual hotel is need of updating, the service from the staff was more than enough to make up that. In particular Rahuldev, Subarnh, Rohin ,Subhiv, to name but a few. There kindness and genuine attention to our needs was impeccable. Our stay was made more pleasurable by having such great service by the team at the Lotus restaurant! Really appreciated and thank you.

Guests consistently praise the Novotel resort and Spa in Goa for its exceptional staff. The team is recognized for their warm hospitality, attentive service, and willingness to go above and beyond to ensure a pleasant stay. From the reception Linda, Shambhavi and Anchal at the restaurant, Daljit,Avi and Shubatra have been really helpful and were always around and took good care of us and not to mention Francis from the pool bar makes some amazing cocktails a must try,visitors often highlight the friendly and helpful demeanor of the staff, contributing to a positive and memorable experience at Novotel Hotel and Spa Goa.

Kate (6/5): - Very tired and shabby looking property. Rooms, spa, pool all in need of some serious TLC and a renovation. Rooms are small and there were musty smells that frequently entered our room presumably from the AC. Staff were young and inexperienced. Everything took sooooo long or had to be asked for several times. There also appeared to be a complete lack of anyone in charge - front of house, in the reception which probably explains the erratic/ non existent service. On reflection the best service came from the main entrance security who always said hello / smiled / were friendly whenever we entered or arrived. I can only assume they were outsourced! On the plus side the food from the al la carte menu was ok. Definitely wouldn’t return. Much better and cheaper places to stay in Candolim.
Vikram (4/5): Avoid Novotel - The room cleanliness was poor The window was open and there were mosquitoes in the room I found cockroaches in the bathroom. The room had a strange bad smell lingering on, thankfully we had aroma candles and that helped. The parking staff deserve compliments for managing in a very constrained space.

Aditya (10/5): Exellotel - The stay at Novotel Goa Resort & Spa was excellent and very comfortable from all perspectives. It's remarkable how the property is maintained, staff is well trained and food preparations are delectable. It will always be the first preference for future stays in Goa. My special appreciation to their differently-abled housekeeping staff who (despite their natural limitations) strives for guest satisfaction. I'm impressed, honestly.
Varun (8/5): Poor service - Hotel is having good infrastructure facilities but service is poor. To start with 1) No valet parking 2) I had to ask 2-3 times at the entrance to take the luggage. 3) No welcome drink was served. However, when I showed my displeasure they offered me some drinks coupons. 4) No placards having extensions for in room dining, reception, laundry etc was there in the room. 5) The AC vent began to leak in my room. However, they were quick to rectify it. One does not expect such shoddiness from a 5 star. They need to improve on their service aspect.
Meet (8/5): Disappointing experience at breakfast - The stay was good only when the last day before check out when I went to have my breakfast I discovered one unhygienic thing...I was saying at the South Indian counter for my dosa where the chef was making my dosa & while making it the spatula he used for applying the masala on dosa was scraped off in a bin and then without washing and cleaning the same spatula he used it to apply the masala on dosa...which was disappointing so I left the plate then n there without having my breakfast & left the restaurant.... I went upstairs to check out where the chef n duty manager came running to offer me some goodies since they knew it was their big mistake...I refused for any goodies... I also gave a note to the receptionist and told him it’s not done...hope the management takes necessary actions and control the hygiene level especially when the covid times still exists...
VIkram (8/5): - our second time here, the hotel is great, clean. the only reason i did not give it a full rating was because of the covid situation. so certain areas were blocked off .. not their fault though. I would recommend this hotel.
Ajinkya (8/5): - The room service was good and very responsive. Many services were unable to experience due to covid restrictions. Spa services are excellent. The hotel location is Ok and the property is also Ok but can be better for the price and the Novotel brand.
Sanjib (8/5): Had a good vacation there - Have a enjoyable and good stay in Novotel with some Cons. Pros - a) Excellent support staffs. All the staffs were very cordial. b) Clean property and the rooms. c) Prompt service. d) Have good number of activities for the kids. Cons - a) Not really feels like a resort, more like a hotel b) Not a very good variety of Breakfast. Could have been better. c) A bit far away from the beach, although they have shuttles running all the day long.

Ravipreet (10/5): Nice Hotel, Great Service. - Spent three nights here with more than 100 college batchmates during a recent reunion. The hotel is very nice, and the staff were very helpful in accommodating everyone's requests to make it a memorable event.

Gaurav (10/5): Well located providing all the comforts - I stayed there for 2 night, the location of the hotel is not on the main road but it's good as you are in a quieter place (which is much need when on holiday). The convenience of getting a taxi or a scotty is right outside the hotel so a plus there. The pool of the hotel is only 4mts deep so that everyone can enjoy. They also have recreational activities like TT, basketball badminton darts etc. If it was not my 1st time in goa i could have stayed in the hotel and would have enjoyed the time at the hotel.

I also had an issue with the security staff , Who had no knowledge of simple hotel policy, Even though it was written in plain English for everyone to see. I would not recommend this hotel.

We have stayed in over 300 hotels in our lifetime and the service, experience, cuisine and ambience of Novotel Goa Spa has to be ranked in our top 10.
Verified traveler (10/5): - This is one of the best hotels I have visited. Not only the property but what's more promising is the staff and services. We were in the hotel with our toddler and we had one of the best vacation, everything was available at ease and at no extra cost. Amazing ambience, location and hospitality. I would give it 10 out of 10 in every aspect.
A.S. (6/5): - Staff, Service and food choices at the Breakfast buffet was excellent. Young man name Santosh was fantastic. Room Cleaning service was very poor. Room (Suite) was booked for 3 adults but everyday we would find only 2 Towel, 2 Coffee Mug, 2 Water Glass etc. (Nothing for third guest). We were told that It's hotel policy to stock only two sets of Towel etc. per room!!! With our booking, We were offered 15% discount on Spa Treatment. At the time of Check Out, we noticed that we were given only 7% discount. And the worst thing about this is that Spa Manager was arguing with us and trying to justify. Do not offer discount if you are not going to honor it. Physical hotel property is very nice.
Jayesh (8/5): Centrally located from candolim hangout spots - It was good. Quite centrally located in candolim with nice hangout spots in close proximity. Good service considering we had 2 kids among our group. Only disadvantage is that it is 5 mins away from the beach. They also had a nice fish spa

Verified traveler (2/5): - For the 300$ per night rate, this was a huge disappointment and the worst hotel experience in my life, and especially considering this is Novotel. 1) I fall asleep on the sunbed at the poolside, I wake up because my left flank is itching and I see dozens of ants eating my flesh. I call the poolside receptionist & he is laughing and telling me to take it easy! What an unprofessionalism. 2) I ask for a room with a nice view and they confirm and then they give me a room with a view of what I think was the sewage canals of the hotel 3) I ask for my complimentary free drink at the bar, they say the bar is closed. I said fine, how else can I get it? They say from the restaurant. I said so I can take it from there but have my drink here in the lobby? They said yes. So I said, okay can you please send someone to bring me a rum and coke? And they’re like: no, you go bring it yourself. Hotel policy does not allow service outside the restaurant. But I said you just told me I can take the drink outside the restaurant, why can’t someone from your staff get me the drink? Ackward silence. There were many of those during my stay. 4) My Goan friend who lives 2 hours away from Novotel. He drops me off at 4:30 am and I tell him to sleep over for 2 hours, refresh & then drive back home, for your own safety. And the hotel’s unprofessional and impolite duty manager makes a huge issue and doesn’t allow him to come to my room and only allows him after I agree to pay extra amount. Ridiculous!

A special mention for Rupesh Sawal, restaurant manager. Rupesh was very informative, taking the time to describe and discuss the full range of Indian dishes on offer. He was extremely polite and professional with a wonderful personable manner. Rupesh made our stay very memorable! Thank you Rupesh, you are a credit to the hotel.

Iain (8/5): Good but not great. - Not a bad hotel but after staying in a 5* hotel in Delhi the week before We found this hotel nut up to 5* standard. The rooms were clean but a bit dated and the mini bar was empty. Breakfasts were good but not outstanding and could often feel a bit chaotic. The pool looks nothing like it does on the brochure. The water is murky and to me looks like it needs cleaning, and the service at the poolside bar was slow and ponderous. The hotel is in a good location and within walking distance of the beach and other amenities in Candolim. Overall I was left with the impression it was a four star hotel at five star rates.

NickJJ (8/5): - Not 5 star but the staff made this a very enjoyable stay - particularly those by the pool with Shankar, Sanju and Krishana. Useful free shuttle car to the beach and sister hotel (Novotel Shrem). Decent location with loads of restaurants and fairly grotty shops near by.

ABHIJIT (2/5): very bad service - Very bad service. if you order any thing they will take 20 mins to provide you service. electricity issue very severe. during our stay is was shutting off for every 5 mins. very sad for this brand.
Dhrumi (10/5): Great hotel with great amenities - We had the best time in goa and majority of the thanks goes to the hotel with all the amenities we need and had great time without worries. Rooms were great lobby / pool / massages were perfect, could not have asked for anything better than that.
Jas (6/5): Winter break - Hi there My wife and I stayed in this hotel for eight nights in February 2018 , we had a few minor issues which were quickly and quietly sorted out by Susan in reception and her team . All the staff were pleasant and courteous and couldn’t do enough for you , yes I will use this hotel again. The only two recommendation I can make are , the dining room facilities can be better arranged , it just seems to be everyone running around like headless chickens and the swimming pool needs to be a lot cleaner.

Maaheer (4/5): Dissatisfied - Musty smell in the rooms, poor sound proofing in the room, room phone cleaned with a smelly damp cloth which was stinking. The liquid soap in the washroom was diluted with water, these are things you don’t expect from a 5 star hotel paying over 10K a night. The pool was good but the change room is located underground and has no ventilation and was stinking. Overall not happy to say the least.
Amit (8/5): Excellent property. Great location. - The property is well kept, modern and for those who have kids..a boon. Extremely friendly and helpful staff..great breakfast buffet..nice pool. A 5 minute walk gets you to a buzzing street with restaurants. Hotel has a free shuttle to the beach. Very modern and clean rooms...like a boutique property.

Sumanth (8/5): Family focused hotel - The hotel is suited for families travelling with kids, the hotel's game and kids zone keeps them entertained during the rainy spells. Breakfast buffet contains a good spread and the staff are very helpful. Clean pool with separate enclosures for kids available. Rooms are small though they are well equipped. F&B are on the pricier side. Overall, great for families with young children.
KC (10/5): Worth every rupee! - Length of stay: 5 days Strengths: - Central location with proximity to beach and lots of food options - Clean and quiet rooms - Friendly staff, willing to stretch to accommodate custom requests - Great in-house restaurant with chefs and staff willing to customize things for kids or on request - Good pool with kiddies section What I didn't like: - The bathroom is separated from the room by clear glass and an adjustable screen. Not a fan of that design. - Sound insulation between rooms needs to be better. Door bell sounds from one room can be heard in the adjacent room, almost sounding k your own room's bell. Suggestion to the hotel: - In fact, all hotels in Goa should have an area for guests to wash their feet returning from the beach. Will save the room from getting all sandy and probably even save the plumbing from getting clogged from all the sand.
PM (6/5): OK stay but too many issues - The staff is friendly and the hotel is quite central. The hotel also had good facilities overall but where the hotel scores poorly is hygiene. 1. There were multiple mosquitoes and flies in the room which is quite unusual for a hotel where one in paying Inr 9000 to 10000 per night 2. Because of its proximity to green area around there were a lot of food flies for both days while one was having breakfast both indoor ad well as outdoor and the same is beyond control of the hotel staff who cannot be guarding each table. The breakfast spread is also quite average 3. One does not expect repair work going on within the premises when one has gone on a holiday like drilling, banging of wood as well as cutting of tiles etc. One does not expect to be disturbed by unnecessary noise on a day when one has gone to relax or take a break. I would possibly avoid this in the future.
Verified traveler (6/5): Pleasant hotel & great staff - Due to flight timing, we arrived at the hotel 8 am in the morning and even though we were extremely early for the hotel policy for check-in timing, the hotel was very accommodating with our request for an early check-in. Overall the stay at the hotel was between satisfactory to good. The staff were very helpful and supportive with all our needs.
