Guest Reviews
- Cathy (8/5): - Not alot of parking for truck and trailer. Service was good. Room was clean
- Laurie (8/5): - Parking close to the room was pretty easy.
- Donald (10/5): - Clean safe location.
- Mike (10/5): - Clean and friendly staff.
- AI LIAN (6/5): - Close to downtown. Accessible to OWU. Rooms are dark. Clean every other day. Does not accept AMEx
- Charles (8/5): - Was convenient to everything we did this weekend in Delaware
- Kenneth (6/5): - Surrounding area was run down. exterior of facility reflected the same!
- David (10/5): - Always a nice, clean, safe place to stay with exceptionally friendly and helpful staff.
- Boyd H. (8/5): - A classic motor lodge with all expected amenities from the 1950s, Pacer Inn was a pleasant throw-back from my childhood.
- Ann (10/5): - Clean spacious room at a great price.
- Hugh (10/5): - Clean property, good price, close to downtown and nearby campus.
- Sheliah (10/5): - The room was clean and the air conditioning was on that was a plus
- KAREN (6/5): Clean, but older hotel - The room was nice size. The bed was uncomfortable. There is no sound proofing between rooms.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Nice people, nice room - Very nice place to stay, nice people and nice rooms. The room was nice, with the exception of the light that came in around the curtains with no way to darken the space. Also,we did reserve a queen suite but were assigned a room with 2 fulls.
- Andrea (10/5): Great Little Place! - We were a little unsure of what the place was going to be like, but we're absolutely impressed. It's like a little 60's motel, but some of the buildings have inside doors. There are three separate buildings, with two wings oin the building with the office. We were in one of the separate buildings with inside doors. We loved it!!! El Vaquero gives a discount to guests. Fair Mexican food. But the shining star at this place is Aurora, on the front desk. What an angel! Be aware, though, that the inn is off the street behind the McDonald's on the corner. That should be part of the directions.
- Eduardo (8/5): - The person at the front desk was really nice and let us check in earlier and we did not have to pay a full day for it.
- Heidi (10/5): - Very happy with our stay at the Pacer Inn. Front desk staff were welcoming and helpful. Room was spacious and clean. Super convenient location for OWU visits. We will be back.
- Samuel (10/5): - Mexican Restaurant connected to property
- Ron (10/5): - Nice motor lodge near the university and downtown
- Tiffany (8/5): - It's a nice property. Very walkable from downtown area and Ohio Wesleyan university. Very nice sized mini fridge and microwave. Nice bathroom with 2 vanity areas. One in with shower and toilet and other in living area. Nice Keurig coffee maker in room. Beds are in need of replacement. Not very comfortable and well worn. We were in a secondary building with keyed entry to get in hallway and key access to room. Felt very secure. Continental breakfast only with fruit, cereal, and store bought pastries but adequate. Room is only cleaned after you leave but we requested clean linens and towels and for our garbage to be taken out. Enjoyed our stay but uncomfortable mattresses were the only issue. Could almost feel the springs. But good for the price
- Stacey (6/5): - The guy at the front desk was very rude
- Glenn (8/5): No frills but very functional. - The Pacer was very serviceable when we just needed a place to crash. Bed was comfortable. Shower worked great. There are no frills, but we did not need any. Very affordable.
- Dale (8/5): - Location and price.
- Philip (8/5): - Staff was great! Had an issue with leaking A/C and was immediately fixed. Great value for a 4 night stay
- Linda (8/5): - Room was very clean and comfortable. Would suggest better breakfast though. Staff very pleasant and helpful.
- Susan (8/5): - Clean, comfortable, quiet, and reasonably priced.
- Danielle (10/5): - Great hidden gem. Love the friendly staff, access to an awesome Mexican restaurant, location is perfect. Safe. Quiet.
- Laura (8/5): A place to stay - Clean, snacks and fruit breakfast offering
- Ronda (10/5): - After reading other reviews, I took a chance on Pacer Inn when I normally would bypass a 2 star, park at the door establishment. I'm so glad I did. Room was lovely and spacious. Will stay there again when passing through the area.
- Michael (10/5): - Nice hotel very reasonably priced restaurant on site was very good. Convenient location, and two other amenities.
- Jade (8/5): - Friendly staff for the most part. Very clean room.
- Jenifer (8/5): - Staff was great easy parking only thing bad bathroom had a really bad smell. Everyrhing else is overall good.
- Nathan (8/5): - Room was clean, check in was okay. We arrived late at night and they upgraded to a slightly larger room. Booked through expedia and it said free breakfast. Didn't realize it was a grab and go breakfast and not a hot breakfast until the next morning.
- Randy (10/5): - Very clean and well maintained property. Staff is very friendly amd helpful. The surrounding area does not look like much but itnis handy to a number of amenities.
- Sylvia (10/5): - Nice well run Mom and Pop type of place. Everyone was friendly and helpful. Rooms were clean and renovated. Close to Ohio Wesleyan campus and downtown.
- Katrina (6/5): Location was only good thing - Within walking distance of downtown and shops, restaurants and bars. That was the best thing about it.
- Terri (10/5): - We had a very nice stay here. Everything was clean and nice. We will stay again when we are back in town.
- Vickie (10/5): - Although it's a bit datedthe friendly of the staff, how clean the room & bathroom were with a bonis with an oversized room
- Jeffrey C (10/5): - Great water pressure and bed was firm, which I like. Clean bathroom and bedroom. Good sized refrigerator.
- Adam (10/5): - Very spacious room, easy access. Friendly staff
- Stephen (2/5): - I heard mice squeeking. The room smelled weird. When we called and told the hotel about the mice, asking for a refund, they denied it and said said there aren't mice. They were so rude to my wife!
- Aminmohamed (8/5): - Easy Access to where we had to be. Close to various food outlets
- George (10/5): - It was good
- Jo (8/5): - The roomwas clean and the staff was very friendly and helpful
- Alok (8/5): - Very friendly staff. Great location, fair price.
- Karen (10/5): - Property was fine room was nice and big just a little on the older side. We just needed it to sleep and shower and worked great for that.
- Ashley (8/5): - Property was well-kept and clean. Front dress lady was very polite and helpful. For us, the beds were too soft and we didn't sleep the best. They had a grab and go breakfast. Overall it was a pleasant stay.
- Ronald (6/5): - This is the second stay at this property. The first was outstanding, but the room we were given this time was showing its age and wear. Rust stain in the bathtub, chips in the bathtub porcelain. The telephone needed to be replaced as it had a "message" light flashing even though there was no message. It had to be covered with a towel in order to sleep through it. There were some marks on the wall, and one of the blackout drape pull rods was missing. Probably would have tried somewhere else if this had been the first room we had stayed in at this property. And the not-as-nice room cost a bit more than the first one. It just needs to be refreshed a bit.
- Adrienne (8/5): - We really liked the location and the property exceeded our expectations. The only thing I suggest is that when guests are staying 4 days/3 nights, they get at least 1 towel change and quick cleaning. Everything else was great!
- Ronald (10/5): - Clean and friendly staff, good service reasonable price and the fact it was not a chain which is a plus for many.
- Kirby (10/5): - Very nice stay! We were in town for a wedding, and this was a convenient, quiet, clean, well-maintained place to stay. The staff were kind and helpful!
- Mary (10/5): - Friendly, courteous staff, rooms clean & well maintained. Great location...walking idistance to shops, restaurants of Delaware and Ohio Wesleyan University.
- Katherine (10/5): - Loved it so much!!! Will definitely be staying here again
- Lucia (10/5): Sonic temple festival family trip. - This was a cute place to stay. Rooms were extremely clean and cleaning crew made sure, although we were on an extended stay, we had fresh towels every day.
- Anne (6/5): - Toilet paper holder was not operable, so you have to hold the roll of paper in your hands. Mattress was noisy. Lights over sink were akin to searchlights. Entire property is very basic and dated. Staff were pleasant. Complimentary “breakfast” of packaged rolls and banana.
- John (10/5): - Love the stay. The front desk clerk was amazing and super efficient. Will stay here agian when visiting the area.
- Tamera (10/5): - This is an older hotel (my parents stayed here when I attended OWU from 88-91). We've stayed several times while my daughter has been at OWU. It's well maintained. The staff is friendly and it usually has reasonable rates.
- Victoria (8/5): Nice room - Was good stay.
- Raul (10/5): - Twiddling
- Natalie (10/5): Perfect stay - This was a perfect stay and fit our needs.
Clean, comfortable and quiet.
Not luxury by any means but it should be understood. It is a basic motel but it is well maintained, the front desk was very friendly and professional.
Very accommodating also. We arrive early and after a 17 hour drive, he got us in earlyand checked in without hesitation. Greatly appreciated!
While this area is not a common destination, if we ever came back I would stay here again for sure.
Thank you
- Sue (8/5): - The staff was very friendly and our room was super clean.
- Jennifer (10/5): - Second time staying here - staff are extremely friendly and helpful. Property is clean and safe.
- Elaine S (10/5): - I have been there many times over the last several years! Only wish we had independent motels like this one in every city of Ohio. It’s the ONLY place to stay
- Nathaniel (8/5): - Nice spot, staff were all super friendly, room was quiet for the most part and bed was ok to sleep on. Bathroom is a little tight between toilet and shower, but overall ok.
- Robert (8/5): - Very friendly front desk staff. From the street, there’s not a lot of “curb appeal” as it’s an old-school motel but they’ve really done a nice job of keeping it clean and up to date. Don’t let the first impression fool you, this is a nice place to stay if you’re in the Columbus area.
- Danielle (8/5): - Great roadside motel with a hotel feel. Only complaint is that the bed I got was like sleeping on a rock. Staff was friendly, walkable to downtown, felt safe. It was quiet and exactly what I needed for a week-long work trip.
- Jennifer (10/5): - Room was exceptionally clean and staff was incredibly friendly and helpful.
- Sonya (10/5): - Clean, nice staff.
- Lisa (10/5): - Love this place. Not fancy but clean and quiet. Great restaurant right behind it. This was my second stay there and I will go back.
- gregory (2/5): The Policy Makes No Sense - My daughter and her boyfriend were coming into town for a family event. For that reason, I wanted to pay for their room. I booked the Saturday. I found out that they were coming earlier so I booked Friday as well.
Both nights were reserved in my name. Friday afternoon I went to the hotel to pay for both nights. I was told that I could not pay and have someone else stay in the room for "Security Reasons." No explanation was given how that was not secure if I paid for the room that they stayed. He had already paid for the room.
The next morning they were thrown out of the room for the second night. This upset my daughter greatly and this treatment by the hotel almost ruined our event. Because of this policy, my daughter paid for an got my reservation without my knowledge. and was thrown out of their room without management noticing that the room was in my name for both nights. and yet for some unknown security issue I could not pre-pay.
Where is the logic in that?
- Georges (10/5): - Great
- Shannon (10/5): - The hotel combined with the Mexican restaurant next door were a perfect combination! Both a pleasant surprise!
- Alejandra (6/5): - Stayed for 2 nights. Staff was very friendly at check in and check out. Everything looked clean upon entry. After the first night my son woke up with a couple of red spots, he has sensitive skin so I didnt think much of it. On the second night I woke up around 1am to see a small bug next to my face on the flat sheet, I freaked out and flung it. Unfortunately it was a bed bug. I did take a quick look around and didn’t see anything so I decided to suck it up and threw everything on the floor as there was nothing that could have been done that benefited us, we had to be up at 4am and had a long day of flying. As the day progressed I started getting red bumps on my face, neck, and arms, I was hoping it was just an oversight, so I called pacer inn to let them know and the person who answered seemed confused as to why I called and didn’t seem to care.
- Brandi (10/5): - Nice clean rooms, staff was very friendly, bed was comfy, nice options for to-go breakfast in the morning.
- Julie (8/5): Very comfortable and convenient stay - The hotel is old but our room and bed were very comfortable. The shower has good pressure and the water heated up fast. The location to down town is excellent. The staff member who checked us in was very friendly.
- Daniel (10/5): - This place is a gem. It doesn't look like much from the oitside, but my room was clean and the furnishings were in excellent condition. The staff was friendly and the environment is safe. The free breakfast isn't great, but that's a minor quibble. For the price, you can't do any better.
- Terry (10/5): Will always stay here - We love this notalgic old time yet very well updated hotel. We've stayed a couple of times. Staff is always friendly and rooms are large, bed is comfortable . Grab and go breakfast is just that. Acceptable for what it is. You can't beat the cost.
- Eric (10/5): I’d stay again. - This is a clean, quirky little local place with friendly staff. Big rooms. Lots of grab-and-go breakfast items. Nothing fancy about the place, but nothing to complain about either. I’d stay again!
- Tamara (8/5): - Grab n go breakfast, close to shops, dining. Clean and quiet.
- Ginene R (10/5): Highly recommended - Awesome! Clean, efficient, easy check in and good service!
- Verified traveler (10/5): Excellent choice in Delaware, Ohio - The Pacer Inn appears understated but is in fact, very comfortable and one of the cleanest hotels I've experienced. The staff is super friendly and accessible although we did not need assistance because everything was perfect. Super clean, comfortable bed and linens, spacious room. If "tidy and comfy" are on your list, the Pacer Inn is a great choice. Excellent location for access to Ohio Wesleyan and downtown Delaware.
- Shannon (10/5): - Quick check in. Nice grab and go breakfast options. Good value.
- Tiffini (10/5): - Perfect for our stay
- Kimberly (10/5): - I have family in town so stay at Pacer Inn twice a year. It is a great place for the price.
- Jodie (6/5): - Very outdated for the area - hip college town, 1980s motel
- erica (10/5): Second stay - This was our second stay here and both experiences were amazing! Check in was fast and friendly, the room was clean, it's close to restaurants/stores, but far enough out that noise isn't disruptive. We travel to Columbus for weekend trips pretty often and will be staying here from now on when we do.
- Tammy (10/5): - It was near where I needed to be and quite
- Darlene (10/5): - Clean
- Mariah (10/5): - The property is a little older, but that is part of its charm. Exiting and entering the property can be tricky at first. The location was ok and we felt safe. The only complaint we had was that the beds we a little hard. Our stay was comfortable and affordable.
- Christopher (8/5): - Fairly priced in line with my three star ratings.
- Bob (6/5): - The parking lot entrance to room was convenient. Room was clean. Staff was friendly.
The fridge might be on its last legs as it was dripping wet on the inside. The heater made a loud screeching noise every time it cycled finished heating. There was no hot breakfast options available.
- christopher (10/5): - Very good inexpensive motel. Super clean. Nice lady behind the counter to great you. Free simple breakfast.
- Kevin J (10/5): - Nice clean quiet and inexpensive.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Just ok - Room was spacious and clean. Bathroom was small but clean. Linens were fresh and clean. Bed was very firm.
Hotel was not as shown in photos. Appears older than photos indicate. Room was dark and had an "old hotel" musty odor.
Desk clerk was pleasant and friendly.
Facility was ok, but probably would not choose to stay there again.
- James (10/5): - Loved the peace and quiet of the area around the hotel and the location was close to the venue we we attending.
- Gary (10/5): Would stay again - Great stay, wonderful room.
- JAMES (10/5): Nice Place To Rest My Head - Solid little hotel. Yes, its older but the beds are comfortable and the owner is gracious. Would happily stay here again
- Hugh (8/5): - The location is convenient to the downtown business district and was close by to the friends we were visiting in Delaware.
- Betty Ann (10/5): - Nice staff, good location, comfortable room. Nice to have a reading chair as well as a table with two chairs.
- Lisa (10/5): - It was the last day of our trip and this made a good ending.
