- Gina (6/5): - Parking is easy, clean hotel, and staff were super nice. the only negative is crack heads hanging out at the end of the hotel. They were coming in and out at all times of the night. You could not walk out to your vehicle without someone smoking marijuana. And no pool.

For under 100$ a night i wasnt expecting much but the room was clean, bathroom was clean , no frills but it was very nice for the price. Staff was friendly and helpful at check in. No carpets so it didnt have that old carpet smell. I was very happy with everything. Its bare bones but absolutely great for the price. Im returning in 4 mo ths to the area and i Will be booking at this hotel again. Great job everyone.

- Joy (4/5): 1st and last trip - We were in town for a softball tournament and only stayed 1 night. I can't complain about the overall cleanliness or friendliness of the staff My complaint is the shady people that hang out around and inside the hotel. People screaming in the halls. People randomly walking by knocking on doors. Obvious drunk people hanging out in the parking lot. We checked in late and had to leave early as our kids had to play their 1st game at 8am but honestly, I was more than happy to leave and will stay somewhere else is we ever play another tournament in Athens.

- Verified traveler (6/5): - The room and hotel in general appeared fairly clean on the surface. However, it could have used a more deep cleaning. I was thankful that I had brought anti bacterial wipes as I had to clean leftover "stuff" from the front of the toilet bowl. The shower curtain appeared stained. I accidentally spilled water on the floor and used a towel to wipe it up. The towel was black when I was finished. The bed was fairly comfortable. However, it was pushed up against the wall. Thankfully I was alone or someone would've been climbing over the other to get up in the middle of the night if they needed to use the restroom. No coffee maker in the room, which was a bummer. The hotel could definitely use some updates. Think Florida 1990's lol I guess I didn't expect much for the cheap rate so I wasn't surprised or disappointed. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

The room was nasty dirty just old stains in many places. Room 136 has a bed that squeaks with every move. It drove me crazy most of the night. Staff was very friendly however. Bathroom was clean. Very obvious they did updates on a budget. Our room had hardwood plank floors throughout the entire room-very odd for a hotel. And for some reason the tv was placed on top of a closet.

- Edward (10/5): Shopping in TN - I was looking for houses in the area and I needed a cheap hotel for a couple of nights. Pleasantly surprised with the cleanliness of the room and the friendliness of the staff. Sometimes when you get a cheap hotel things don't always work out this well. I would stay here again anytime.
- Betty (10/5): - Very clean grounds and facilities. Staff was very nice and helpful and offered information on all restaurants in the area. Check in and out was quick and efficient. They have an ice machine, soda and snack machines, and complimentary coffee in the morning. Definitely recommend as a great deal and experience.

Box springs broken on both beds, refrigerator not working at all, carpet filthy, more than one light bulb broken, cooking odor, (curry) from next door overwhelming.
- Tennjp (10/5): - There was some vehicle noise being next to the freeway, but was drowned out by the A/C. Noise was more noticeable when A/C was off. Room was clean, spacious, cosy. Door between rooms did not keep out noise from neighbors. Coughs, flushing toilets, television were easily heard - especially with a neighbor checking in after midnight and coughing frequently. Early morning 'bumping' on the other side was identified as the cleaning store room the next morning - however, that did not wake or keep awake. Staff was very courteous and very helpful.

Eventually Expedia called them and they confirmed that they could save rooms on the ground floor, but could not guarantee that they would be side by side. When we checked in, they had no idea what we were talking about. They did get us rooms on the ground floor, but not side by side. Disappointed that they could not remember a request confirmed by Expedia. Rooms were clean and satisfactory.

- Verified traveler (6/5): Great service, but... - Location is great, check-in was a breeze, staff was courteous and polite. However, with a bed that was most likely produced during the Nixon administration and pillows that resembled Aunt Gertrude's couch pillows from the 1960s, I found myself tossing and turning at 2:00 am, dreading my 6:00 am alarm. I awoke looking and feeling like I had spent all night drinking tequila at the local bar. Had this been anything other than a casual business trip I would have been in big trouble. For me, the sole purpose of a hotel is for a restful nights sleep. I couldn't care less about the pool, WiFi, or free breakfast. Maybe every other bed and pillow set in this hotel are covered in fine linen and stuffed with the finest down, but clearly, mine was not. I believe the owners would benefit from realizing that the goal of any hotel should only be providing a restful nights sleep. Hint: this starts with a modern bed.

- Terri (4/5): Terrible - The room was awful!. It felt like someone they put two beds in an empty room stuck a tall chest in the corner and set a tv on top. There wasn’t a nightstand, no coffee maker,no blowdryer, no carpet, the beds were hard as a rock and the pillows were lumpy. I’ve never been to a hotel where there wasn’t a nightstand by the bed to set a glass, alarm or a phone on!!!!

- Judi (10/5): The Light was On! - We came to Athens, TN to visit family. Check in at this motel was very easy and quick. The desk staff person was very informative and friendly. We had several bags and a pet carrier. With the loan of a luggage cart, we were quickly settled in our room. Our room was very clean, had a refrigerator and microwave. WiFi is free and was very strong. The TV was newer and great. In addition to being clean, the motel was also one of the best organized as far as amenities. They have a laundry room, ice machine, kitchenette with microwave and sink all located on ground floor near lobby. In the mornings they have coffee in front of lobby desk area. We just enjoyed our stay so much. There is a Burger King just across the parking lot. There are other restaurants nearby too. We were out of our room all day one day and coming back to a comfortable room was so wonderful. The best Motel 6 ever and really the best motel we have stayed at during this long trip from CA to VA and back. Wish we could stay here every night and at every stop. Thank you.

- Joy (10/5): I'd recommend this Motel 6 - Very clean, excellent and fast service, quiet, strong internet, located next door to a Burger King and across the street from Shoney's, a great buffet restaurant. Walmart is about a mile down the road.
- Verified traveler (2/5): Worst night ever - First of all, you have to drive through a Burger King parking lot to get to this horrible place. We were supposed to stay three nights but after the first night we cancelled the other two and went to a different hotel. The property is supposed to be non-smoking but the room stunk of cigarette smoke covered in very strong perfume. We all woke up with stuffy noses and coughs. We left an empty soda can out overnight and there were ants everywhwere when we woke up. Very noisy property as well. Many disruptions in the middle of the night. Staff was unresponsive to complaints. Not a single apology. We told a local that we stayed here and he just shook his head in disbelief. DON’T stay here.
