• Jonathan (1/5): MOTEL6 GAINESVILLE NO LIGHT TO KEEP ON FOR YOU - There was really nothing that was good. Last year they were supposed to be renovating. Not true. Too many people that are "friends" of owners live there. Dominoes would not even deliver there anymore. No one would deliver there. Whatever our however they wash linen and towels is terrible. There was hair on our towels, ALL OF THEM. THE PLACE WAS NASTY. WE WILL NOT BE THERE ANYMORE. This was my 6th year staying there and lay year police had to come and capture a criminal that was hiding out on the premises. They were there this year also, asking with fire department and ambulance 2 days of our 3 there. The place is run down and no one seems to care. The filth is terrible. As a veteran of the USMC, I have stayed in some skeptical places but this one even had me on edge this time. Will not be staying here again.

• Eddowes (4/5): Brief, disgusted, and frustrated .but thank God I didnt have to spend the night - The rooms smelt, the neighbors around the location had pets,that pissed and pooped by cars,the beds were broken in ,sunk in on one side, pillows smelt like mold, the blanket that was over the bed had burns all in them,stains on towels and water took forever to get hot. Worst stay ever .3 hours in and ended up leaving..we came from South Carolina. Booked online,pictures were different from rooms,dissatisfied

• Jada (4/5): Get what you pay for - Motel 6 is exactly what you'd expect. Smelled like old carpet (there was none in the room) and a pack of newports. Needs major renovations. Fridge leaked, tv didn't work, toilet hardly flushed, room smelled old.

• Meplus2 (1/5): - Nothing They stole my money and kicked me out because I was cleaning out my car and had put everything the room so I could go vacuum my car, well the bath tub kept filling up with human feces and I told mgr on duty, when she saw everything piled on my bed she told me I had to leave, no refund for the upcoming night and no I apologize you and your 2 children couldn't shower. So I calmly packed up and cleaned the room, it was cleaner when I left than when I arrived, and I made it out before checkout time abd they claimed it would be refunded by booking. Really an apartment complex for questionable activities not a hotel, they only rent one side of a huge 4 sided hotel nightly as all the other rooms are full time occupants. Don't stay here unless its too cold to sleep in your car.
• Lori (1/5): never again will I go to this place - every time we would go out and come back to the room we would get approached by prostitutes I couldn't believe it I will never never go back to this to this place again and I had requested a king size one bed smoking room and did not get it they told me that I did not request that and I had it on on the manifest showing them from my email what type of room I ordered and I never got it so my experience was bad horrible

• Holtzer (2/5): I wouldn’t stay here again - Location When I tried to check in they could not find my reservation because they checked someone else in under my name. The staff had to look multiple ways to find my reservation and she was very helpful. The bathroom had tiles pulled up by the tub and the floors were uneven. Not the best neighborhood either.

Don't Go To This Motel - Location wasn't too bad I dont even know where to begin..well I booked a room,when I got there that room wasn't even available.so I got a run around for a room.then when I got inside.poop and toilet paper was sitting in the toilet.couldnt get to flush down.floor was filthy? Dead roach in the refrigerator and the curtain was hanging on the rod by a zip tie..it was horrible.If it wasn't so cold outside and late that nite,I would of rather slept in my car.I would not recommend this place.

• Meplus2 (1/5): Middle Management has got a power kick! - Location is great! 430am bathtub filled 4in deep in raw sewage, at 10am i went and paid for another night at 1230 my room was invaded by 2 housekeepers and middle manager and told me I had to leave because my room was cluttered, I was cleaning out my sun and rearranging preparing to travel south from blizzard. They gave me 30 minutes to pack up and didn't not return my money. Even though my tub was unsuable on the prior days billing. I have stayed there 15 to 20 nights in the past 2 months and no problems, I use booking.com and have over 1000 nights without incident. Don't waste your money!

• Gonzalez (1/5): Una horrorosa experiencia - Pésimo es poco. Servicio pésimo, limpieza más que pésimo, todo con peste a humedad sucio y a cigarro en habitaciones de “no fumadores”. Rente 3 habitaciones y no pude dormir ahí. en cuanto vi las condiciones de las habitaciones no pudimos quedarnos. Llevamos una semana gestionando la devolución del dinero porque nunca estuvimos en la habitación y aún no dan respuesta. Nunca se queden en este hotel porque gastarán su dinero en vano ya que es imposible dormir entre tanta suciedad. Las sabanas sucias, peste a cigarro, desorden, todo eso y más pueden encontrar aquí. Todo. Si todo estaba mal. Sin limpieza con peste a cigarro y sin quedarme en la habitación aún gestiono la devolución del dinero porque no dan respuesta. Es un descaro robo y fraude a más no poder

At 1 in the morning when we arrive. Some came up to us asking to cut my daughter hair couple rooms down. I will never go back to that one

The bathroom in toilet/tub room had mold and a dirty washcloth on the floor behind the toilet. YUCK!! I didn't like that my car was far away from my door, kind of in a sketch area.

• Maria (1/5): terrible I want my money back - absolutely nothing I made a reservation, I arrived at the place and the person did not want to accept it, they have not returned my money. I told the woman that if I had to pay to enter before I paid her and she “NO” she did not have the best attitude, it was already 12:50 am, I feel that she could have found an easy solution and she did not do it… What she wanted was only cash, so I do not understand why they are published online.

• Bart (1/5): Run away! - Only location is a positive thing about this place. Places like this shouldn't exist in 2025. Dirty, wear down, bathroom is disgusting and full of mold, missing fan cover. Service was so poor that they didn't even noticed towels left by me on the bathroom doors. Dust on furnitures and hair stuck to wall and on the floor corners. Stuff looks like it was just released from rehab after serious meth problems. Walking next to other rooms you can see questionable guests passed out in clothes on bed with blinds open and filthy room. Abandoned cars on the parking lot, sticky cat walk that never seen powerwasher. This place is premier example of big company greed and management negligence. I stayed there only because everything else was booked for the big event on the race teack and I had no choice.Stay away from this place! It is a shame that it even exists in USA....
• Davidson (1/5): I went to the front office and complained they said they give us half of our money back but we never - I have stayed there numerous times and always been satisfied but this time and having to pay 127.00 was bad There was no TV no refrigerator the floors was dirty and looked like they hadn't been moped in days the heat/air did not work and the restroom had a very bad odor I had a 2 year old with me and its bad when she can't even watch cartoons
• Daniel (2/5): - Room was absolutely disgusting. A large area of dirty handprints on the room door from months pf people grabbing it to open/close shows this room hasn't been cleaned in months. The bathtub was cracked in the middle and was collapsing and leaking onto the floor. Tv was covered in dust and spray droplets of some sort. The sink was not fixed to the counter or sealed with caulk at all. The bathroom shelf had about 7 different types of screws to secure it to the wall. However none were tightened. The shower curtain rod fell when we pulled the curtain closed, and it was so rusted that the tension rod was fused and couldnt be adjusted. My hands were covered in rust after putting it back up. Everything needed paint. Some fixtures had been replaced like the light fixture above the sink, but the area was not repainted so you could clearly see where the previous fixture covered along with holes where it used to be screwed to the wall. The floor was filthy and we had to wear shoes around. I walked barefoot and had to wash my feet again after a shower because they were already filthy. Hotels.com should delist this establishment and Motel 6 should be embarrassed it is representing their brand. The room was not fit to be booked.

• Michelle (2/5): - The absolute worst. RUN. The only plus is that the women at the desk were nice. But still rented me the room knowing it was dirty and in horrible condition. I should’ve canceled the second the clerk took her ginormous pitbull outside and still stopped to look for her mace. They have long term residents there who have dirty laundry and trash everywhere. One was grilling on a busted charcoal grill surrounded by beer cans in the courtyard. It was 10pm. After we traversed the trash and shaky fire escape type stairs, we got to the room. It had holes in the walls, it was dirty, hair and stains on the mattress and linens, it smelled. Door looked like it was jimmied open a dozen times. Just don’t. Ever. Sleep in your car.
• shirley (4/5): - The room we were in had mold in the bathroom. There was an odor in the room. The sheets were dirty with hair but just hair for the head on them. The staff was great they gave us clean sheets. The tub was clogged but the staff they unclogged it. The floor was dirty. I ended buying cleaning products and mopping the floor with the dirty towels. There was mold in the room as well. The property was kept tidy outside. The second night we stayed someone tried to get into our room. People were smokers and stayed outside the room smoking by our door. I cleaned the bathroom, the sink outside the bathroom. The walls had mold and stains on them. The pillows were low and uncomfortably flat. The AC unit was full of dirt. I cleaned that as well. The door has light coming in it from the side and bottom. There are long term residents there. People were outside the property area smoking and drinking. However, close to the highway and the downtown is not that far of a drive. The staff was very responsive and helpful. When other guests run their AC water is on the outside where you have walk. This hotel has the potential to be a great place motel 6 really needs to do better. If you're looking for a cheap fast hotel this is a place to consider but other than that skip it if you would like comfort and tidyness. If you come to stay bring your own supplies and properly clean or you might regret it.

The bed side table was broken off of the wall.Half of the hotel was for nightly rentals and half of the hotel had people living in it. There was no chair to sit on. The hot water was not hot. I will be inspecting the room before I book another Motel 6. Most Motel 6 hotels are generally basic but clean. No this one....Go somewhere else...I am.
• Dawn (1/5): Health code violations! - This was by far the worst place we have ever attempted to stay at. We booked a king room but was given a double queen. Dirt and filth everywhere, INCLUDING BEDBUGS! SEE ATTACHED PICTURES! Never seen a more disgusting place in my 56 years! I would rather sleep on the ground!
• Jerrald (4/5): - When I arrived they didn’t have the room I paid for. She gave me a room on the other side of the hotel. When I went into the room I was met with mold spider webs and spiders with. I tried to get my money back but instead was switched to another the room. The room I was switched to was much better but still not worth the price I paid. I won’t be going back

When I went to the bathroom, I found a giant spider in the tub, and other insects were entering through the front door because it had no protection. I contacted Expedia immediately to request a refund and left within an hour of checking in. This was a terrible experience, and I would not recommend this property to anyone.
• Frank (6/5): - Most I can say is it was cheap. Can't say I got a good sleep. Someone had a dog that kept barking. There is not enough blackout curtains, so there's a lot of light in the room. That is probably because of all the lights outside. There was no bady wash or shampoo, like most hotels have. There could have been more towels and the pillows are so thin you need all 3.
• Simone (2/5): - I had an extremely disappointing experience at Motel 6. We chose this place for a last-minute booking, and it was shockingly dirty and unbearably smelly. The odor was so overpowering that I felt dizzy within minutes of entering. Every surface, including the bed sheets, was filthy, and there was hair scattered everywhere. The bathroom floor was also very dirty. It was an awful experience, and we had no choice but to cancel our reservation and find another hotel. We did get a refund, but I definitely do not recommend this place. The staff member at the reception, Kim, was friendly, but beyond that, it’s definitely a case for the health department to inspect.
