- SOOJEONG (1/5): If you come here without reading this review, you’ll definitely wish you could turn back time. - The breakfast area is prettier than most other places. You can catch the bus to Amalfi right in front of the accommodation. When I first arrived, an elderly couple who didn't speak English warmly welcomed me. There were bed bugs in the bed. I got many blisters on my body. and This room is extremely noisy. The sounds of coughing, noises from the small room, TV sounds, and no soundproofing at all completely disturbed my first night. Even though the neighbor wasn’t loud, surprisingly, this room has a ‘door’ that connects to the next room. The door is locked, but all the noises from the other room come through the crack. You can even hear fart sounds! Booking this accommodation was the biggest mistake I made in Italy. It is very far from the main street of Positano, and the path along the cliff is extremely dangerous. There is no designated pedestrian path, so you have to walk on the road! When two women walked to measure the time, it took about 30 minutes to reach the coastline, but at night, the streetlights are off, leaving the path in complete darkness, making it even more dangerous. If you want to enjoy Positano's beautiful night view and have dinner, you’ll need to walk back on a pitch-black cliffside road between cars. This accommodation doesn’t even have a shuttle service (you can only use it if you book a pricey restaurant in town), while other hotels offer shuttle vans, but this one is very expensive. On the last day, I asked the owner to take me to town, and they demanded 30 euros! There are much better accommodations in central Positano. Don’t make the same mistake I did. Book a place in the center of Positano!

Spotlessly clean and comfortable with the best big bathroom. Spa and terrace - just beautiful. Everyday was a treat to enjoy one of Mrs Angela’s cooked breakfasts with her special touch including homegrown produce. The location is a little way from the heart of the action. It’s either a reasonable walk on a busy road with no footpath, or a ride on the bus (which would be fine if it wasn’t jammed with tourists every day!).
- Stanka (10/5): Cítili sme sa ako na návšteve u starých rodičov - Pani Angela ktorá ubytovanie prevádzkuje je naozaj veľmi milá, ochotná, naozaj sme sa cítili ako doma alebo na prázdninách u babky. Privítala nás, povodila a všetko ukázala. Dôležité veci ma napísané po anglicky a stále sme sa dorozumeli. Raňajky na terase boli okúzľujúce, s výhľadom na more a positano, pripravené priamo od domácich. Vírivku sme mali iba pre seba keďže tam v tom čase nikto nebol a je na terase s krásnym výhľadom. Parkovanie pre auto priamo pod domom 30€/den. Cestujeme veľa ale pani Angela patrí určite do top5 najlepších ubytovateľov ktorých sme stretli. V izbe nám chybalo okno ale keďže sme tam netravili veľa času nebola to veľká prekážka. Ubytovanie je 15minut pešky od Positana a nevedie tam chodník - ale veľmi blízko je autobusová zastávka.

Das Hotel ist wunderschön und bietet einen fantastischen Blick auf Positano. Besonders beeindruckend ist die Terrasse mit dem herrlichen Panorama. Unser Zimmer war groß, sehr sauber und geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Die Dame, die uns empfangen hat, war sehr freundlich und hat uns mit großer Herzlichkeit willkommen geheißen. Das Frühstück am nächsten Morgen war ausgezeichnet, und die Gastgeberin hat uns währenddessen mit viel Freundlichkeit und Aufmerksamkeit bedient.Man fühlt sich wie zu Hause.Es war sehr schön. Ich würde dieses Hotel jederzeit wieder besuchen und wärmstens weiterempfehlen!
- Elvira (10/5): - The hotel is comfortable. At first, I was a little confused by the location, but Francesco helped me get there. It's clean, quiet, and the staff is very attentive. The breakfast is delicious and varied. There's a bus stop in front of the hotel; you can take the bus back right there. To get downtown, you have to walk about 15 minutes or wait for a bus that takes you downtown. I liked the hotel and the service, and the views from the hotel are impressive: overlooking the ocean and part of the city.

- Cristina (9/5): Positano da sogno! - Vista spettacolare, calorosa accoglienza, una colazione servita al tavolo con tanto amore fanno di questo posto un luogo perfetto dove soggiornare qualche giorno in questo piccolo gioiello della Costiera Amalfitana. Io e il mio compagno ci siamo trovati benissimo. Abbiamo prenotato un posto auto sotto la struttura stessa e ci siamo spostati la sera con la navetta del ristorante gentilmente consigliato dai proprietari. Dopo una notte passata nel meraviglioso centro storico di Positano, siamo tranquillamente tornati a piedi, raggiungendo la struttura in 25 minuti. Ci farebbe molto piacere ritornare per un'altra fuga romantica. Camera molto bella, ma poco insonorizzata.

Overall very good value for money for the Amalfi coast! The stay helped us to stay away from the commercial and heavily touristed areas and it certainly felt like more of a local Italian experience! Angela was super accommodating and helpful and made sure our stay feels just as if you’re home! Breakfast was great and again with stunning view! If I had to be picky, the property has parking but it’s paid and it costs €30 per night which is a good price for the Amalfi coast but still quite high! Having said this, we were able to park on the street!

Facilities didn’t work, no hot tub. The hotel didn’t even let us know when booking. Just last minute made an excuse when we got there. Parking was extortionate and room didn’t have window. Price was ridiculous for what we got. Worst accommodation on my trip and regret booking it.

The villa offers an amazing view of Positano, and the rooms were spotless and beautifully maintained. Breakfast was our favorite part—it felt like a true Italian experience every morning, enjoyed with a stunning view of the town from the balcony.

Our room was perfect for two of us - two twin beds and overall a large space including the bathroom and shower. The walls, however, are very thin and at times it sounded like the couple in the one bedroom with it's own balcony were in our room, especially when they chose to start calling relatives/friends at 10 pm through 2 am our last night there:(. You should definitely use a porter if you take the ferry in - even if you don't have super heavy bags - it's a lot of steps and then a 20 minute or so walk on the busy street to get to the guest house. I think some kind of soundproofing is in order.

- Katie (10/5): Beautiful stay with amazing hosts outside of the city. - The property was very well kept and quiet. It was away from the crazy city center which made us feel more relaxed. The hosts were incredible! There was a language barrier between us and the hosts however they were so sweet and hospitable! We loved them. Francesco was able to arrange out taxi into town via booking.com chat. The property was further than we expected from the city. By distance it was short but the walk is on a narrow winding road on the edge of a cliff. The walk was pretty dangerous and the metro bus was very crowded. Again, still loved that we were away from city center but we were not prepared for the travel hassle.
- Hannah (6/5): - Overall, this was an ok experience, but I wouldn't go back nor would I recommend this to anyone traveling to Positano.. We felt mislead in that there was a beautiful balcony to enjoy (which we were looking forward to and specifically booked this place for), but the woman who ran the establishment was so strict and in our business that we felt extremely uncomfortable making any noise or enjoying the space. The owner leered out from us at her window, and rudely came in when we were checking out to make nasty faces and inspect everything. Just uncomfortable. Location-wise, it was really inconvenient and out of the way from the main drag in positano, which was surprising for how overpriced this location was. We reached out to the owner to help coordinate a car, and the car that came was 15 minutes late, almost causing us to miss our scheduled tour, and the driver charged us 50 euro and talked nastily about us the entire ride (which was 14 minutes... for 50 euro...) Zero sound proofing, could hear every thing going on in each room. Again, disappointing for such an insanely high price/for somewhere not even in Positano. The breakfasts were good. - Gabriela (10/5): Loved staying in this cozy b&b - Angela and Nicola were so sweet and took such good care of us during our stay with them. Felt like we were staying with our grandparents. They really helped make our stay in Positano a memorable one. Even though the b&b isn’t in the “city center”, my husband and I still walked to a lot of places and back regularly, and felt safe to do so!
- Amanda (10/5): Absolutely awe inspiring views - The views were breathtaking, unparalleled to anything we’ve seen before. The vibe of the property felt really authentic to the region. Incredible having a spa watching the sunset. Angela who checked us in and prepared our breakfast was absolutely perfect. Although her English was limited and our Italian less so we could communicate with her without any issues. She was a wealth of knowledge and just the sweetest lady. We hope to return in the future.

- Kieren (10/5): Beautiful - The owners of the villa were incredibly hospitable and made my stay in Positano the most memorable one! Each morning an amazing breakfast is served by the owners of the villa on the main terrace overlooking the Mediterranean. It’s a very authentic Italian experience. I will definitely be back!

They didn’t speak much English and organised for Rosita to meet us on arrival to discuss our stay, book dinners (with shuttle) and activities, then we communicated with her during our stay on WhatsApp. The space itself was amazing clean and comfortable. Beautiful views. Very close to the bus stops so you don’t have to walk the 15min into town if you don’t want to. Nothing
- Ellen (9/5): Lovely hotel & close to the main part of town - Our room was a great size, very clean and comfortable. We enjoyed relaxing outside by the jacuzzi with a welcome drink and nibbles. Something we haven’t received at any other place which was lovely. The host wasn’t there during our stay but was easily contactable via WhatsApp and responded very promptly. He informed us that Mrs Angela would welcome us and provide the keys etc. She was very nice and welcoming. We only wish that we could’ve stayed another night! Also we recommend paying for the porter service near the ferry to drop your luggage to the hotel as there are lots of stairs to get to the taxi drop off and pick up area. It was a little expensive but so worth it if you have big heavy bags. A little bit of a dangerous walk along the busy road into the main part of town however it didn’t take too long and has such a beautiful view. If we had’ve stayed longer than one night we would’ve looked into hiring a scooter or car.
- Susanne (10/5): Charming small hotel away from the masses of tourists!. - Eccellente small hotel. Angela and her husband are charming and so kind. Truly they are the heart of this well loved/cared for home feeling accommodation. Our yellow room had no windows which bothered me at first but there is a lovely patio to relax on and the view from breakfast service location is spectacular. The total charm made up for lack of windows! Rosita was always available to help and translate for any needs.

- Teresa (10/5): Perfect! - Everything was perfect! It is a very small hotel which makes it very comfortable and feels like home. The view is amazing. We had a really nice time! We would definitely go there again in case coming back to Amalficost.
- Sgarzon30 (9/5): Very nice stay! - It's a very cozy family house with rooms for guests. Interaction prior to our arrival and during our stay with Francesco, the main host, was very good. He was very responsive. Ángela, the hostess, was very caring and attentive (language was not an issue). The view from the hotel was amazing. Our room was very comfortable and spacious, with an amazing shower. Not having the view from the room was not a problem at all. Our breakfast did not include omelettes and more salty options as it did to other guests, probably because they were staying in the suite. It was difficult to go from the hotel to the city, transportation is not frequent, so we always had to walk in the road. It doesn't have restaurants or supermarkets near by.
- Scott (8/5): Awesome authentic Italian experience. Would stay here again. Staff were friendly and kind. Helpful when needed. Loca - Location was great. Room was spacious. Views of sea and mountain of Positano was awesome. A fair bit of motorcycle traffic noise outside the front of the spot. Private Terrace was a bit small for two and would have been nice to have a bit more room for two chairs and table to sit out. Hot Tub closed too early. Would be great to have had it open until 11pm or later. The walls are thin so we were conscious of playing music or making too much noise.
- Manna (7/5): A nice clean place to stay almost near Positano - The house is beautiful with the view of the ocean. It is located on the mountain side. Our room didn't have any view but the breakfast is served on the balcony of the 3rd floor with a breathtaking view. The breakfast was the best part of our stay. We had to pay an extra 30 euro to park our car in the garage when there was an empty spot right in front of the house. the owner moved his car to that empty spot and we parked our car in the garage. For some reasons I was under the assumption that the house was only 10-15 minutes walk from Positano but it is more than 30 minutes walk in a high traffic 2 lane road without a sidewalk. The traffic is so bad and finding parking is so hard that when you parked your car, you will never move it until you are ready to leave the town. The distance from Positano,

- Nadia (10/5): Felt like you were getting looked after with love by Nonna x - The property was exceptionally clean, well kept, the room smelt lovely and the bedding was always crisp and fresh. Angela was very attentive and always checked if you wanted your roomed cleaned or needed fresh towels. The pool was small but well maintained and cleaned daily by Angela’s husband. The breakfast that Angela offers on the terrace was always a highlight of the day. The spread was lovely and the view was beautiful. No negatives I can think of.

Angela and her husband were so kind and helpful and we loved the breakfast upstairs and the view was stunning from the balcony’s. Our bathroom was beautiful and air con was great. It’s a decent 15/20 minute walk into the town (& nearest food) but you’re obviously paying a lot less so we definitely thought it was worth it. Facilities were minimal, there’s a hot tub but it’s pretty useless as no one wants to get in hot water during the hot days. It would have been really good if it was cold water in the tub for the peak summer to dip in. The outdoor shower tap was also broken when we were there.

Even though it was a 20 min walk to town I liked that there were no stairs to the hotel and the bus stop is right outside. It was a little far out from the town - not too bad it’s just not super convenient to go to town multiple times a day. If you need to change for example.

- Molly (10/5): Beautiful apartment with wonderful hosts. - We absolutely loved our stay at La Sorgente del Sole! The apartment was lovely and very clean, and the views and common area were amazing. The best part was the hosts though, Angela and Nicola. They were incredibly accommodating and kind and we loved the wonderful breakfast each morning on the terrace. We also liked that we didn’t have to hike up any stairs with our luggage to get to the apt, and that it was a bit away from the total chaos of downtown. Highly recommend this place!

The staff were the nicest people I’ve ever met, offering us welcome drinks and personally driving us into town on our way home. Lovely view. Slightly far from town. About 25 mins to walk to the beach and restaurants on a very narrow windy road with lots of cars. No window in the room we stayed in.

The bus stop is right in front of the hotel. The building has a jacuzzi and a nice balcony overlooking the view of Positano and the ocean.

- Bridgette (8/5): Very good - The breakfast was amazing! We asked for fresh fruit and Angela made us a fresh fruit salad each day. She also gave us a welcome drink and was available to answer any questions: There was a 50 euro for a late night check in, which was quite expensive as Angela lived in the apartment. I think 20 would make more sense!
