It has it all. Owners and staff a delight. Took us to railway station. Restaurant choices nearby. Bus stop right outside. Dining out is required, owners cook mostly weekends but easy walk or drive to restaurants .

- Jessica (10/5): Fabulous place that totally undersells itself. What a gem to find. - We stayed on a Friday evening when supper was an option. Don’t bother booking anywhere else for a meal, the food was fantastic & delightful hosts & staff. We stayed in room 2 with a forest view, as we thought that would be quieter than the roadside. However the road was very quiet with little traffic, so it wouldn’t have been a problem. I am slightly concerned that my husband’s horrific snoring kept our neighbours awake during the night as the walls were quite thin. I resorted to my noise cancelling headphones. The beach is a short walk, minutes, away & there were people swimming in late August. The bus stop to Helsingor is right outside & the train is a 20 minute walk away. We highly recommend as a quiet and unassuming, but delightful place to stay. Pillows & mattress very soft.

Ligging vlakbij strandjes, kasteel en leuke plaats Helsingør Goed verzorgd ontbijt. Het was niet duidelijk wanneer er wel of niet gedineerd kon worden in het hotel. Er worden fietsen verhuurd die in slechte staat zijn.

We have been out for 7 days staying at different hotels both here in Danemark and in Germany: Villa Brinkly was by far the best. For the evening meal we had poke bowl & fish n' chips. The food was perfect. We ate outside in the beer garden. Breakfast was a buffet with a large comprehensive selection, the coffee was amazing... Most impressive of all was the laid-back atmosphere set by the hosts Annette and Erik.. There is nothing we did not like... Extremely cozy..

The rooms are fabulous, and the beds exceptionally comfortable. We felt very at home here. The bedrooms overlooking the courtyard are fabulous which has an abundance of comfortable seating and herb planters. Stunning. There isn’t anything negative about this beautiful place.

- David (10/5): A gem of a hotel convenient for Elsinore and the Louisiana art museum - Hotel Villa Brinkly is a gem of a place that should be better known. It is run by Annette Buch Petersen and Erik Steen, who are charming and make your stay special. Annette is a superb chef (be sure to stay on a Friday or Saturday if you want to eat in their restaurant) deserving of international recognition and Erik is the guy who built the place (Brinkly means it is in the lee of a hill) and is a keen car enthusiast who has photo books of all the car clubs that have visited. The property is tastefully and interestingly furnished with a seaside/nautical theme, everything being that little bit special. Its location is a near-perfect halfway between Elsinore (Hamlet's Castle) and the superb Louisiana art museum. However, it should be noted that sea views are really sea glimpses, as Villa Brinkly is across the road from the seashore and looks over the properties opposite towards the sea. That doesn't detract from the setting, though, as crossing the road and walking up the shoreline (northwards) takes you to the lovely Vores Skotterup restaurant and the stylish Cafe Vitus at Snekkersten harbour. Nothing. We want to go back.

Host cooked us dinner that was superb.was also close enough to walk to a fantastic cafe for other dinners. Check in was smooth decor interesting and eclectic. Nothing… to improve… it was very convenient, and interesting given its history. It was well run and very low key . Easy to access and parking convenient if a little tight by North American standards… but perfectly adequate.bathroom was very small but two sinks made it workable, shower was again small but comfortable.

The evening tapas meal was overpriced and rather a disappointment in comparison to other meals of a similar type experienced on our tour of Denmark. Breakfast was adequate but some mornings no staff were around. The hot dish was just left to go cold for the whole session.The food needed to be displayed in a larger area when several guests were sitting at the table right by the food display.

- Byron (10/5): - Annette and Eric are very personable and friendly hosts. The hotel is located very close to the bus stop for easy access to/from the Louisiana Museum.
- Jane (9/5): Relaxing, lots of attention to detail, lovely location - The location and the breakfast and the staff Perhaps a few more places to hang clothes but just a very minor detail

- John (10/5): Bästa boendet - Ett fantastiskt boende. Allt var fint. Att på morgonen sitta utan för vårt rum och äta en frukostbuffé som var så fin var ljuvligt. Närheten till stranden var också härligt.
