Matthew (2/5): Urgent Clean / Communication Improvement Required - Location The property needs a proper clean. Entering the room, there was pools of water on the carpet from condensation which made the room smell very poorly of dampness/mould. Visible long dark hair throughout bathroom (stuck on tiles) and in the linen. A mountain of sand in between the cushions on the lounge which is long overdue for a vacuum. Stains all over the carpets in each room, external furniture is in very poor condition. I wouldn’t risk sitting on the chairs as they are very heavily weather affected. Towels etc need replacing as they have fabric hanging off them and are almost at the point of see through in some parts of them. Despite calling to confirm late arrival, I had to call on 4 different occasions to finally gain entry to the building after being told I’d be texted the code. I was in the process of calling other hotels to enquire on availability so not a very good start. Finally got hold of after hours who advised they couldn’t send me the code but would provide to me over the phone. Left the property early and received a call asking where the keys were when located in the key drop box. I wasn’t aware on the no daily servicing of the room however I’m sure this is on the website somewhere. Overall, I wouldn’t be in a hurry to return given these issues however with a focus on cleaning and customer service, all of this could be pretty easily rectified.

Easy to check in and parking was included. Self contained unit with full kitchen and laundry. Very comfortable beds/pillows. Roof top pool was nice. The unit was worn. Kitchen chairs all were marked and starting to fall apart, walls were scratched/damaged needing paint, carpet in bedrooms stained. The one lounge chair on the patio was damaged and covered in bird droppings.

Kaye (9/5): After a 9 hour drive to get to our destination, having the difficulties upon arrival wasn’t ideal. However we all agreed - Very clean. Great views of the bay and islands. Close to eateries of all types and shopping/larger grocery stores. 3 separate bathroom facilities for 5 ladies worked well. Reception was closed when I was advised it would be open until 4pm. No SMS code received for the key safe. Room beside us was extremely noisy with music and conversations, and that went into the night - I guess we were unlucky. Communication about requested bedding arrangement was apparently not received when I approached reception the next day.

Tracy (2/5): Felt like I got a budget outdated unit that didn’t match the advertised accommodation I payed over $200 night for. This - Across the road from the beach however the unit room 206 faced a noisey street so was unable to have the doors open and aircon off. It was dirty, outdated rusty outdoor furniture, worn carpet in the bedroom, lampshade was broken, mildew on the ceiling in the bathroom and although it advertised a full kitchen there were absolutely no little starters like salt and pepper let alone oil. Advertised a washing machine and dryer, however not even a small sachet of soap powder Quite an unwelcoming Unit certainly did not match up with the advertisement that I booked online for Echelon. It was the first time I have been disappointed with booking through booking.com. I am renovating an old house, but I was actually happy to come home.

Nicht gefallen wäre zu viel gesagt, aber bei Buchung war uns nicht bewusst, dass hier nicht regelmäßig Zimmerservice gibt. Aber es war ja alles vorhanden was man braucht. Peter (7/5): surprise at check-in - Location close to the Lagoon and restaurants on the ground floor. 1. They use the old fashion keys, and have a jail-like fence with door you have to open before you open the apartment door, so losing a key would be a problem, they make it your problem by making you sign for minimum charge of $500 for lost key at time of check-in (they do not tell you about it at time of booking though, I would not book with them if I knew it), $500 being minimum charge, I hate to think what the maximum charge would be! 2. On booking.com they answered question about smoking, saying you can smoke on the balcony if you close the balcony door, but that is a lie to get your booking as they will tell you can't smoke on the balcony at time of check-in. 3. At the time of check-in they make you sign a vague statement saying they can charge you for cleaning. 4. The wifi password is not around the tv and remote controls like is generally done but it is a small sticker on the fridge. I sure did not find it. 5. The shower is level with the bathroom floor which makes it extremely easy for water to get outside the shower and it is very slippery on the tiles outside then, so be careful. 6. The rooftop pool is small. 7. Reception has very limited hours.

Cherie (6/5): Yeppoon is a favorite, people need to venture there. Echelon is a great spot and no car needed. - Location was the best feature, even though we were at the back, the view was still nice, especially at night. Pool area was great although a bit more attention to cleaning would go a long way. Sadly, your house keepers let you down. When staying in holiday accommodation, you don't really want to share other peoples hair every where. When checking under the bed for a dropped item, perhaps moving the beds and running a vacuum under them would be an idea. The deck was absolutely filthy, our feet were black. I vacuumed and mopped it myself as we couldn't stand it. The BBQ was dripping fat, stopped us using it. Cleanliness is so important when providing accommodation, especially in such a beautiful setting.

Te Manawa (9/5): - Location was perfect for me, there were restaurants and bars close so I could walk everywhere I needed to go My trip wasn't longer
Ruth (8/5): Overall the stay was good. The apartment itself was amazing and very functional for a family of 4 - Location was excellent, the apartment was clean and functional. The lifts weren’t always working and around start of business, end of business, check out, check in times it was quite a wait. The pool on the roof was full of cockroaches and was not very clean at all.

Paula (10/5): Gorgeous central apartment - The location was amazing right across from the beach unfortunately our apartment looked out the back of the hotel but the apartment was absolutely spectacular. Two bedrooms, two bathroom bathrooms or modern facilities. There was only one issue which was ants. We asked the receptionist to come and spray for them because when we arrived they were literally crawling across the carpet but that’s not the hotel‘s fault. It’s just the location.
