• Daniel (8/5): - Pleasant hotel in the new town within walking distance of all the sights and beaches. Decent pool but limited sunbeds and shades, probably because the sun doesn't shine over the whole pool area in October so much of it remains in shade all day. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Dans les quelques points negatifs : pas de rangements pour 4 personnes, couloir pas assez insonorisé et un petit accessoire pour faire secher serviettes et maillots sur le balcon serait apprécié !
• Caterina (6/5): Ci penserei prima di ritornarci - Hotel in posizione centrale, nei pressi di molti locali. Complessivamente non male, struttura datata ma ristrutturata nelle parti comuni. Le camere, anzi quella a noi assegnata ( ho avuto modo di sbirciare le altre decisamente più grandi e molte con balcone), non solo era molto piccola, ma con bagno altrettanto minuscolo, doccia con tendina 🙀 e un odore forte di muffa. Niente ganci per appendere vestiti ne’ teli bagno. Condizionatore funzionante ma che puntava sul letto… Brrrr! Decisamente no. Poiché abbiamo soggiornato solo due giorni e non volevamo sprecare tempo per noi prezioso per visitare, non abbiamo chiesto il cambio di camera. Se vi dovesse capitare la 302 sapete ciò che vi aspetta. Forse la direzione potrebbe indicarlo nella descrizione della tipologia della camera e magari venderla ad un prezzo ridotto in modo tale da far scegliere in modo consapevole al cliente. Colazione ok, personale gentilissimo e molto disponibile.

• Theos (10/5): Warm People, Great Food, Central Location - Relaxing, clean and truly welcoming! A comfortable and very clean hotel with excellent service from all the staff. Everyone was friendly, warm and always smiling — exactly how Greek hospitality should be! The breakfast buffet was rich and suited all tastes, while the dinner buffet was also a great option at just €18. There’s a lovely pool area for relaxing, and the location is perfect — right in the center of Rhodes. Totally worth it. Highly recommended!
• Gulcin (8/5): - Otel konum olarak cok iyi, fakat yakinlarda bulunan barlar yuzunden ses hassasiyeti olanlar zorlanır. Kahvalti cok iyi degil ama aç birakmaz. Peynir çeşitliliği olsa iyi olurdu. Çalışanlar cok iyi ve yardımsever.

• Petra (8/5): - Eigentlich war alles in Ordnung, sauber, gute Lage, sehr gutes Frühstück.. Aber der nächtliche Lärm aus der Umgebung (Nachtbars) bis um 01.00 Uhr ist nicht akzeptabel. Eine angenehme Nachtruhe war kaum möglich.

Good location, as it is walkable distance from Rhodes old town & Elli Beach. It can be noisy though as it is located in a busy road.

• Suzanne (8/5): - Breakfast buffet had a good variety. Room was spacious. Convenient to walk to water or town. Pool was a good size. Construction noise from next door is a downside. We couldn’t use the balcony since pigeons made a terrible mess on the chairs and balcony: they slept at night on top of the AC unit above our balcony. Pillows were very firm.
• Alexis (6/5): - Le petit-déjeuner était tres bien et c'est ce qui a rehaussé notre appréciation. Les chambres ne sont nullement isolés au niveau sonore. Que ce soit depuis l'extérieur ou depuis l'intérieur du bâtiment, aucun bruit n'est filtré. Les equipements sont trop basiques pour un 4 etoiles voir meme trop vieux parfois. Le service est correct, il n'y a rien à redire à ce sujet. Dernier point négatif, la piscine etait fermée et nous n'avons pas été avertis avant notre arrivée et encore moins avant notre réservation.

• Lloyd (2/5): - Innanzitutto sui motori di ricerca viene catalogato come 4 stelle ma è tutt’altro che un 4 stelle: ascensori vecchi, colazione scarsa, porte delle stanze che se ne cadono e arredamento vecchio. Ho prenotato su un noto motore di ricerca dove tra le “commodities” della stanza c’erano: Tv 22” con canali satellitari Balcone arredato Scrivania Ovviamente non c’era niente delle cose elencate (Le foto in allegato sono la prova): Camera minuscola (per essere un 4 stelle.....) staffa tv sul muro ma senza tv tenda doccia sporchissima la spazzola del gabinetto è la spazzola per pulire le bottiglie materasso degradato aria condizionata che gocciola e con muffa la nostra in particolare è la 422, non fatevela dare MAI. abbiamo anche richiesto 3 volte un cambio, anche un upgrade pagando ovviamente ma ci hanno sempre detto che le camere sono tutte occupate Unica nota positiva è che si trova nel centro della città di Rodi ma a quel prezzo si trova di meglio sicuramente, cercate altro
• Neil (6/5): - Good food and polite friendly staff. Room service was non existent, we had to constantly ask for clean towels and fresh toilet roll. We only stayed 4 days but would expect a room clean and towel swap at least once. The room didn’t have enough beds and towels despite the booking saying 4 People. This was sorted out but a sign of things to come. The air con unit back siphoned into the room due to the condensing hose been placed in a plastic bottle instead of being piped up correctly. It may seem trivial but the leak was over a case full of clean clothes we then had to dry out.

Misleading info: offers parking included but really means find street parking; offers soundproofed rooms but they are really loud and noisy on the street. Otherwise functional and clean, with friendly staff. But there are plenty other better options around.

• Verified traveler (6/5): Average stay - We checked in on a Wednesday at around 6 pm. Bathroom was not clean. We asked for a cleaning lady but at the reception desk we were only informed that there was no cleaning lady at that time and there was nothing they could do!!! And they call themselves a "boutique hotel". We then decided to take a look at the swimming pool... The pool area was dirty, with coffee spilt on the floor, cats sitting on the sunbeds, and trash inside the pool. Location is central and everything within walking distance. An average stay in general.

• Verified traveler (8/5): Καλό για λίγες μέρες. - Συμπληρώσαμε 2 ενήλικες και 2 παιδιά στην αναζήτηση δωματίου. Το δωμάτιο που μας έδωσε το hotels.com ήταν με ένα διπλό κρεβάτι και ένα διπλό καναπέ κρεβάτι για τα παιδιά. Στην άφιξη στο ξενοδοχείο έπρεπε να γίνει αλλαγή γιατί λέει το δωμάτιο δεν θα μας χώραγε. Μας έδωσαν ένα τετράκλινο αλλά έπρεπε να πληρώσουμε έξτρα. Η κράτηση ήταν για 4 νύχτες άρα ουσιαστικά πληρώσαμε σχεδόν μια νύχτα έξτρα. Βγαίνεις τελείως έξω από τον προϋπολογισμό σου.Το ξενοδοχείο είναι καθαρό, το προσωπικο ευγενικό, το πρωινό είχε από όλα και ήταν υπέρ αρκετά. Η πισίνα καθαρή και γενικά το ξενοδοχείο είναι πολύ καλό. Το μεγάλο του ατού είναι ότι βρίσκεται στην πόλη πολύ κοντά σε όλα.

• Javier (6/5): Es hotel de fiesteros, no hotel boutique - El hotel deja mucho que desear. De “boutique” solo tiene el nombre. Es un hotel frecuentado por mucha gente joven que solo busca fiesta y les dejan hacer fiesta en la piscina, jugando a balón y dando pelotazos, con total permisibilidad por parte del personal del hotel. El servicio de limpieza de la habitación no se hace cada día. Son habitaciones ruidosas y el aire acondicionado no refrigera suficiente. Además, el calentador de la ducha no funciona bien: cada día me bañé con agua templada, pero no caliente. Las terrazas de las habitaciones son compartidas, y si tienes la mala suerte como yo, tienes que compartir con una choni inglesa que se apropiaba de las sillas para poner sus bikinis y sus tangas al sol. Positivo: está cerca del centro y rodas es precioso. La chica de la recepción es encantadora. Desayuno aceptable. Lo demás...un drama.

• stefan (6/5): Bra läge, men ingen balkong på juniorsviten - Helt ok hotell, ligger väldigt bra, tyvärr stod det att vår Juniorsvit skulle ha balkong, fanns ingen balkong! Sen var det två rum i Juniorsviten men ac i ett, gick inte att sova i första rummet. Vart erbjuden att byta men de rummen var väldigt små.

En conjunto, una relación calidad-precio excelente.

• Filip (8/5): - Rummet var fräscht, dålig spolkraft i toaletterna samt dåligt tryck i duschen. ACn var bra men kylde inte ner alla sovrum. Ceasarsalladen var allt annat än en ceasarsallad mestadelen av personalen var trevlig. Prisvärt hotell. Bra poolområde 5 minuter gång till allt. WIFI funkade inte på rummet.
• Elle (10/5): A lovely hotel in fantastic location - The location is absolutely brilliant. Within 5 minutes you can walk to the harbour, train station, old town, new town or sea front where there are lovely restaurants shops and bars in the old town and at the harbour. The staff of Anphitryon hotel are lovely and really helpful. The breakfast and the breakfast manager staff are great. The Air conditioner in the bedroom is brill.
• Aiko (8/5): Gut für einen Kurzaufenthalt, Lage sehr zentral. - Seit 5 Jahren ist das Amphitryon unser Hotel für einen 4-tägigen Städtetrip. Ideale Zentrumslage, nettes Personal, gutes Frühstücksbüffet. Pool für Liegestuhlkanditaten vorhanden. Zu empfehlen ist die Suite 500 mit Dachterrasse und fantastischem Blick über Rhodos.
• Verified traveler (6/5): Relativt bra! - Blev besviken pga att polen var stängd och det fick vi inte veta innan. Två ihopsatta enkelsängar ist för en riktig dubbel var också en liten besvikelse annars var det schysst för priset!
• Verified traveler (6/5): Location and breakfast are good - It is not 4 star hotel. The room is noisy from the neighboring rooms and also the pub downstairs. The bed is a bit too soft. The shower and toilet need updating. The location is really good. It is near to the bus station to Lindos or to the airport. The breakfast buffet has good variations.
• Donald (6/5): Average at best - The staff at check-in was unknowledgeable and was unable to answer questions regarding the surrounding areas. The room was cold and the air conditioner/heating unit does little to heat the room. The water is lukewarm at best and not nearly good enough for a cool December evening. There was a questionable stain in the sofa bed. The wifi is poor and we were told at the beginning that in-room wifi would be extra. This was later waived. The hotel did make an effort to improve towards the end by sending someone to the room for cleaning. On a positive note, the breakfast was excellent.
• Ann (8/5): Excellent location! - This hotel is the perfect place right in the city center! You are a five minute walk to the beach or Old Town Rhodes. The rooms are comfortable and serve your needs. The breakfast was great and the staff couldn’t have been more accommodating! There is free WiFi in the common areas, but you have to pay extra to have it in your room. I would definitely stay here again!

• Verified traveler (6/5): Was misled when making my booking :( - As soon as I arrived I was told the accomodation would be different to what I had booked. Apparently It was advertised on Hotel.com incorrectly and the hotel did not accept responsibility for the change. I was given a discounted rate but it seemed to be the going rate for that room anyway. They told me that this happens with Hotels.com bookings and that they were only notified 24 hrs earlier. My argument is that I should have been told immediately so that my family and I could decide on what we wanted to do, not apon arrival where we were desperate for rest between travelling. Overall the accommodation was ok at Amphitryon but we had to compromise on what we wanted and we felt that we were mislead in what we were getting. Not sure who was at fault, if it were a combination of both hotel and Hotel.com. We took the booking for the extra bedroom and the bed configuration to get some sleep away from the kids. Unfortunately that did not happen. Not very happy.

• Aline (8/5): Medieval city - The hotel is very well located near to the medieval city and the restaurant and bars area, you can wall safely. The breakfast is very good and the service was ok. I recommend this hotel.
• Ant (10/5): Get the penthouse! - Used this hotel overnight for a corporate event that was being held in the Therme restaurant which is literally over the road from this hotel. I didn't use any of the facilities apart from the room, which was great. Clean, comfortable and spacious.

Hotel ok, nothing to special, we only were staying for one night so suited our needs. Hotel was clean and good bed and linen. Room was a bit tired and located a back so no view. Good shower and towels.

They only had the reservation for 2 people where my voucher stated quite clearly that the room had always been booked for 3. The receptionist was extremely rude. Would never stay here again.

• stewart (8/5): - Staff friendly and helpful, facilities excellent, room clean and modern. Good choice for breakfast. Overall excellent. Being picky lifts are tiny so had to take luggage over two runs
• Matthew W. (8/5): Family mini suite - We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and were pleasantly surprised by our room considering how reasonably priced it was. The location is fantastic, being very close to the old town and with a fantastic gyros restaurant on the next corner. We were bed and breakfast and the buffet style breakfast was of a good quality with a wide range of choices and the staff brilliant. Wi-fi is available in the lobby. The only negative for us would be noisy guests in the corridors at night particularly as there were a couple of teenage school parties staying.

• Verified traveler (6/5): Weekend trip - My wife and I went for the weekend to Rhodes from Turkey. The hotel was as advertised: modest rooms in a good part of old town Rhodes. The accommodations are modest - boutique seems mostly to indicate the hotel is not corporately owned - but do the trick.
• Claire (6/5): Nice pool, weird bathroom! - The hotel staff were excellent throughout, reception, pool area, breakfast. The room felt a little outdated, and dark, though this could have been the location of the room with one narrow window and VERY small balcony. The bathroom was very....unusual! It was fully plastered with an open shower, looking almost like it was made of stone, in a yellow / beige colour. It didn't "feel" very clean due to the nature of the materials, as well as the colour. The air con was a little weak, taking the room a while to cool down. Breakfast was excellent, with a good variety of choice for adults and children alike. Overall, a decent hotel, good customer service, nice pool area, good breakfast. Room and bathroom a little disappointing.
• Alessandro (4/5): Rude check in Staff - Check in staff was rude. Hotel was fine but over priced for the quality delivered. Rooms should be max 80 euro a night. Shower was tiny and rooms weren't properly acoustically treated. Paper thin doors also meant all the noise from the corridors penetrated into the room. There was an electrical problem on our floor and the lights and air con went out for 2 hours. Choose another hotel, teher are plenty around which are better value.

• Darren (8/5): Nice hotel, brilliant location. - The hotel was perfectly good for what we required, a base to explore all parts of Rhodes.
• Lou4 (8/5): Very good value for money - The hotel is very good in terms of location. Breakfast was great. The only thing that we didn't like was the staff at the reception. Not very willing to talk to you or help you with transport etc. We requested a double bed but they just ignored us. Apart from these the rest is great. The rest of the staff was great and room was ok.

They do need to put screen doors on the doors to the patio. Left the sliding door open for cool night air. Got eaten alive by mosquitoes. Learned my lesson. But overall a very good value.

• andrew (8/5): Service to quick ! - At breakfast sometimes they took your plates and cups before yous were finished and you back to the the buffet to find your table cleared. Whilst there was a good selection it was the same every morning so a few little changes would have made it nice

• Mr S (2/5): Double-booked? - Cannot provide meaningful feedback as we were relocated to another, very average, hotel. We'd booked and paid well in advance and emailed several days before to confirm. Staff at the alternative hotel looked unsurprised. As we were only booked to stay one night at a busy time it seems we got shunted off - if so this a poor way to treat guests. Unimpressed...
• Summerhols (6/5): Not quite 'boutique'! - This hotel is in a good central location however the room we had was very small and no balcony. Nicely fitted hotel reception but very basic and definitely not a boutique hotel. If you want central, clean and convenient for a few nights max then this would suit.
• Sheena (8/5): Great central Rhodes Town location. - Billed as a 4 star and fair to say it comes up trumps in the minimilst category. The rooms are a good size, clean, simple and comfortable - in reality they are just as you see on the website which is great. Breakfast is plentiful, tasty and filling. The staff were exceptionally friendly, helpful & professional. We were a party of 2 adults and 2 teenage girls. There were other similar groups, there were also couples (of all ages) and groups of folks in their 20s/30s. A great mix of people all well catered for by the staff. The hotel is relatively small, has a great relaxed feel and is ideal for easily accessing shops, bars, restaurant and the gorgeous old town - which is an absolute must see. The pool is quite small (as you would expect in a central town hotel) but more than ample to cool off in and do some lengths. Sunbeds are good but some days you might need to be patient to secure one.
• WestMedill (8/5): Contemporary styling, great location - As stated in previous reviews, request an upper floor room, facing pool or back. We stayed in room 412-junior suite was perfect for two adults, 16 y/o & 12 y/o sons. Minimal, modern style. We arrived late from the airport and had requested dinner, which was graciuosly waitng for us when we arrived. Very hospitabl staff (thank you Nikos & Spiros, our excellent hosts). We would recommend this hotel and definitely stay here again.
