• Daniel (8/5): - Zimmer sind etwas in die Jahre gekommen wenn man den einfachen Standrad mag reicht es vollkommen aus. Das Zimmer wurde täglich geputzt und alle 3 Tage gab es frische Handtücher. Pool war immer sauber.

Gli appartamenti sono ben insonorizzati , forse unica pecca per noi che avevamo l’auto é che non ha parcheggio e bisogna cercarlo nella via dietro . Le pulizie vengono fatte ogni 2 giorni . Ha anche la piscina . Le spiagge sono a circa 10 - 15 minuti a piedi . Per noi è stata una bella esperienza

• Frédéric (8/5): Appartement sympa et bien placé - Petit appartement sympa , bien placé , proche des commodités et de la plage. Douche un peu petite , piscine au calme mais devrait être nettoyé plus en profondeur (quelques insectes au fond de la piscine ).

Bedroom, shower room, kitchenette and living area all clean even though the decor was a little dated. Friendly welcome, nice cocktails, no problems.

Negatives-4km walk along polluted road into central Rethymno and buses often full and refusing to take more passengers, so hard to go into town. Hotel linen very old and frayed. Otherwise good place to stay. Would use again if a car was hired.

Nao ha estacionamento mas ha algumas ruas ao lado possivel de estacionar gratis. Para o centro da cidade, pagamos 9 euros no taxi. Para as praias, fomos de carro alugado e facil acesso para chegar e sair do hotel. Ao lado do hotel ha diversos bares e restaurantes bem agradaveis. Recomendo o hotel... unica observaçao que nao ha elevadores caso precise de acessibilidade
• Verified traveler (8/5): - Pro: L’appartamento da me prenotato era a pian terreno, molto carino, ben attrezzato e soprattutto molto pulito. La posizione dell’hotel è ottima, dato che è situato sulla via principale, vicino a bar, ristoranti, negozi e a 100 metri dal mare. Davanti all’hotel inoltre c’è la fermata dell’autobus che porta in poche fermate direttamente a Rethymno. Personale gentile. cocktail fantastici! Contro: il condizionatore è presente solo in salone, va in standby ogni 5 minuti circa quindi l’aria non arriva assolutamente in camera da letto, quindi diventa veramente difficile dormire a causa del caldo. Per questo motivo, noi abbiamo quasi sempre dormito sul divano in salone. Consiglio di richiedere gli appartamenti al primo piano, almeno si possono tenere le finestre aperte; cosa non possibile se si ha l’appartamento a pian terreno perché affacciano o sulla strada o sulla piscina, quindi chiunque passa può vederti. La doccia ha la classica tendina di plastica, e anche stando molto attenti, purtroppo il bagno si allaga di acqua. Peccato!
• Egor (10/5): Отличный семейный отдых. - Отдыхали семьёй, с ребенком. Очень понравилось. Впечатление только позитивные. Уютные, очень удобные аппартаменты. Есть балкон со столом и стульями, кондиционер, на кухне есть все необходимое, ежедневная уборка. Очень приятный персонал (насколько я понял, это семейный бизнес), готовый всегда помочь при необходимости. По соотношению цены к качеству отелю я бы поставил 10 из 10. Пляж в пяти минутах ходьбы, широкий, чистый. При сильном ветре бывают приличные волны, но это нечасто. Рядом с отелем есть таверны, прокаты машин, продуктовый в пяти минутах ходьбы. В общем, нам все очень понравилось. Спасибо!

• Michela (8/5): Appartamento carino, proprio davanti alla piscina - Poco cordiali i proprietari, l'ultimo giorno avevo l'areo alle 22.30, ho dovuto lasciare l'appartamento in fretta e furia alle 13.00 e stare nella zona del bar 6 ore ad attendere il minibus che mi ha portata all'aeroporto. Avendo prenotato con expedia mi sarei aspettata che questa cosa fosse in qualche modo messa in evidenza, o farmi sapere chiaramente che avrei docvuto lasciare l'appartamento alle 11.00 della mattina o che potessi usufruire dello stesso almeno fino alle 17 visto che il volo era alle 22.30 dall'aeroporto. E' una giornata persa se uno non sa come fare per i bagagli o per l'eventuale doccia de si intrattiene sulla spiaggia. E' cambiata la mia buona impressione dopo questo disguido, da piacevole e sgradevole.
• Jon Arne (6/5): Ok hotell, god rengjøring, store leiligheter - Et greit hotell med ok fasiliteter. Synes det er litt rart at det ikke finnes en dusj man kan låne på avreise dag og at man ikke kan låse inn kofferten et sted. De kaller seg hotell, men det er ikke mulighet for å få kjøpt seg frokost her. Men renholdet var bra og vi fikk nye håndklær nesten hver dag (det sto at det skulle skiftes hver 3. Dag)

• Cri (8/5): Appartamento spazioso e pulito, tranquillo - Appartamento spazioso, pulito, tranquillo, ma comodo per spese (supermarket, pasticceria...) e per offerta pranzo e cena.... unica pecca il parcheggio mancante e quindi dover lasciare l'auto sulla pubblica strada (per la verità una stradina tranquilla dietro la struttura fuori dal traffico ordinario dell'arteria principale). A cinque minuti di auto dal centro di Rethymno (città che offre molteplici possibilità per acquisti, intrattenimento e locali dove cenare...).

• Antonio (8/5): Bella e grande,qualche dettaglio da migliorare - La casa era molto spaziosa e il wi-fi molto potente,il condizionatore un po' rumoroso.Da migliorare il bagno,basterebbe chiudere la doccia con un box al posto dell'ORRIBILE E RACCOGLI BATTERI TENDINA che poi rende anche più impegnative le pulizie dato che si crea il lago.la spiaggia è vicina anche se non è al top ma noi comunque abbiamo girato con la macchina quindi è solo una nota per chi volesse fare lo stanziale.Il personale parla poco o niente l'italiano ma bene l'inglese.La camera è ben insonorizzata.Nota personale la 123 aveva i LETTI DURISSIMI!!Se mi fossi fermato due settimane avrei chiesto qualche rimedio.
• Didier (8/5): Appartement proche de toutes les commodités - Hôtel bien placé. Supermarché à 70 m, des restaurants au prix abordable. Pas de parking, il faut cependant se garer par derrière l'établissement. Climatisation moyenne dans la pièce principale pour notre grand logement (chambre avec 2 lits + 2 canapés). Un ventilateur cependant pour la chambre. Un accueil irréprochable et une disponibilité exemplaire de tout le personnel. On se comprend très bien en anglais, sans parler forcément en anglais courant.
• patricia (10/5): Bon rapport qualité prix - Nous avons passé 6 nuits dans cet hotel situé au centre de Platanes et à deux pas de la plage. L'appartement était propre et fonctionnel, avec une petite cuisine ouverte sur le salon très confortable. Les lits étaient confortables. A cette période de l'année, l'hôtel était très calme, pas de nuisance.
• Kaarina (8/5): Hyvä perushotelli - Hyvä perheomisteinen hotelli noin 4 km Rethymnonista itään (taksilla noin 11 €), erittäin rauhallinen ja kodikas huoneisto, kaikki oli lähellä (respa, oma huoneisto, allas). Hyvä hinta-/laatusuhde. Hotellin läheisyydessä kauppoja, tavernoita ja bussipysäkit kumpaankin suuntaan.
• Bianca (6/5): Kleines, sauberes Apartment. Alles was man braucht - Preis-Leistungsverhältnis passt. Das Apartment war sauber, das Personal freundlich und alles vorhanden was man so braucht. Der Strand ist in der Nähe. Kleines Manko war, dass die Matratzen etwas hart sind und die Klimaanlage etwas laut.

• Baz (10/5): Hôtel propre, appartement spacieux. Calme. - Bel hotel calme et bien situé. Rien à redire. J'ai eu des voisins un peu bruyants mais on ne peut l'imputer au personnel de l'hotel.
• Y & M (6/5): Appartement conforme à sa description - Appartement conforme à sa description, dans un "hameau" balnéaire sans intérêt. L'accès aux quelques commerces s'effectue facilement. La direction de l'établissement est absente...voire très discrète. Des ustensiles basiques de cuisine manquent (couteau de cuisine, économe, bols...). Notre appartement étant au RDC, il était impossible de laisser l'accès au balcon ouvert en raison de la présence de chats errants cherchant pitance...
• Anne (6/5): Fijn appartement in leuk winkelstraatje - Het appartementencomplex zit boven en achter een cocktailbar waar je goedkope lekkere cocktails kunt drinken. Platanes is een klein gezellig dorpje op ongeveer vijf km van Rethymnon. Allerlei restaurantjes en winkeltjes zitten in de straat. Het is vlakbij het strand. Het appartement was oke. De ruimte is prima. Wel jammer vonden wij de zeer kleine douche en de keiharde bedden. Service was prima, want ik kreeg een soort toppertje wat zachter te slapen. Er liepen een paar kleine miertjes in de badkamer, maar de rest was schoon. Klein keukentje met servies, glazen en bestek. Twee elektrische kookplaatjes, maar die heb je niet echt nodig.....Het stelt allemaal niet zoveel voor. In Platanes heb je een Lidl, dus wij kochten ons ontbijt daar. S ochtends zon op het balkon, in de middag schaduw. Met de taxi ben je zo in de stad. Of met de bus, maar deze kan wel erg druk zijn!

• Sergey P (8/5): 1 night stay - We were one day only in this hotel. Very good location near of cafes, shops, bars. Hotel has very nice bar near of reception with nice view to the street. Hotel is not so far from high way. It's ideally for traveling tourists. Unfortunately this hotel has no parking so there need to park car on the street. Hotel is not so fresh but very clean. Appartment has one big room with kitchen area and area with sofa and tv, beadroom and bathroom. Unfortunately no wifi in the room.
• E (6/5): Good basic hotel right on the main road. - In general we had a good, pleasant and restful stay. If you don't mind pebbles on the beach then this hotel is in a good location, otherwise you are going to have to take a bus € 1.30 to get closer to Rethymno to find a beach with no pebbles or rocks. To use the bus we had to buy our tickets from the tobacco kiosk or the supermarket down the road. Some bus drivers refuse to take anyone without a ticket even if offered exact cash as payment..!!! Many roads... especially on the south coast are bad and narrow...not worth the risk at all. North coast is best and more than adequate. Elafonisi; Falasarna in the west are best for shallow and sandy beaches. Don't Bother Paying To Go To Balos....it is a waste of time, effort and money...!!! Bali Beaches are nice. Driving on Crete roads is demanding. Drivers drive on the hard shoulder to give way to faster cars. Too many bends because of the mountainous nature of the Island. In some places is not wide enough for 2 cars..!!. Cars don't stop to let you cross safely at a crossing, you have to make them stop by stepping and walking on the road.....Please use your common sense and be alert.... Good Luck.

Gracious service and staff, clean and spacial apts, absolutely the best in location – one block from beach, short bus ride to Rethymno, quiet away from congestion. Accessible to restaurants, and café’s. Would book again definitely.
• Herc (8/5): Comfortable, quiet, friendly, helpful staff - This is a lovely small hotel, not five minutes walk to the beach, the essential supermarket and good food. Katerini, Maria, George and Andonis were always helpful with any queries or our needs. We requested a quiet room in a corner and we were given the best. The small kitchen facilities were enough for two people, all the kitchen facilities worked well. The air-conditioning was a perfect foil for the hot afternoon siestas and the warm nights. The beds were comfortable and the bathroom clean and well serviced. The pool was sparkling clean. The family are patient with driving directions, excellent suggestions on dining options, information on neaby facilities and any queries regarding the area around Rethymno. We have no complaints whatsoever about any of the service this hotel offered. The family looked after us as their own. Even offered us the sweetest apricots from the tree in the garden! First time visit to Crete, this is a gem of a find. We will gladly stay there every time we are in the area. Thank you Katerini Hotel family.

• Marsha (8/5): Great little stop-over - Arriving incredibly early from the airport I chanced asking to check in as we arrived in Rethymnon at 07.30am. The family were really helpful and we were in our room within 5 minutes. Great service overall, clean, basic but good rooms and fab ice creams in the bar for the kids!
• Sofie (10/5): Value for money - Spacey, very clean that is a very nice familiy-run hotel in Platanes! Situated close to the street but still fine in terms of noise. The kitchenette in the apartment was fully equipped. Close by are many tavernas and bars as well as small supermarkets, where you can get almost everything from fruits to water, vine, snacks and bread and whatever you may like. The staff is very kind and helpful :-) The pool area is also nice, though we spent most time on the beach close by. It's only a 5 minute walk from the Katerini hotel. The bus to Rethymno stops just right across the street. You can probably not find any better accommodation at this rate with this kind of service and facilities.We will most likely come back here very soon.

The staff is very kind and helpful. - There is a cool bar at the entrance with very reasonable prices and a good variety of offers. - The rooms are clean and the kitchen is sufficiently well equipped for preparing simple dishes. The rooms are fairly big and we even had a terrace. I would highly recommend Katerini Apartments.
