Guest Reviews
- Louise (10/5): - Good for families. Very comfortable and good location.
- Adam (8/5): - Great to have 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
One lift working was very frustrating.
Light not working in the bathroom.
- Nessa (6/5): - Great location and the apartment was tidy, however don’t get it mixed with clean. The carpets n tiled floors had crumbs n dust. Just need a good vacuum n clean. I had to clean the bathtub before we could shower. It had water rings and serratia marcescens, hair and dust. I was not having my child wash in it. Kitchen counter tops and stove top had crumbs and sticky substance on them. We cooked one night and I had to wash everything before use. I got the vacuum out to use and it was full of debris and broken, so I put it straight back in cupboard. Dust on furniture, I could write my name in it. I had to dust before I could relax as Im asthmatic. The dryer was full of lint, lucky I checked it before use.The photos do not correlate with the actual apartment. It served its purpose, however I shouldn’t have to clean it before using it.
- Heather (8/5): - Fantastic for what we needed
- Donna (4/5): - The property was dirty and desperately needs a paint job. The curtains are filthy in all the rooms and kitchen cupboards filthy. No dish cloth to wipe benches. Bathroom door didn't close completely. Ensuite shower head broken. Mould in both bathrooms.. Lounge and mat needs cleaning - dirty!! Balcony doors wouldn't lock. Main bedroom sliding door wouldn't open and when you tried the entire frame moved. On a whole, for the price this property is a disgrace!!!
- Rex (8/5): - Property was conveniently situated and spacy. However was in need of a good "Spring Clean".
- Anthony (8/5): - Very close to the CBD
- Samuel (10/5): - Great value for money apartment.
- Penelope (4/5): - The only good thing about the apartment we had was the water pressure in the shower
The apartment was NOT clean, most things were grubby
The apartment was in a very poor state of repair, some walls had little paint left on them, the bathroom is terrible the kitchen sub-standard, the lock required a key to lock and unlock from the inside which I believe to be a safety hazard
As we were arriving late, we were required to travel to a separate location to collect the key from a lock box or we would be charged $20 per hour after 8pm, then see a concierge sitting at the front when we arrived at the apartment building, not very well organised
There was no information in the apartment about amenities available or dirctions on how to access them (and they were advertised)
Tea and coffee were provided, but no milk
The remote control for the very small television did not work
The queen bed was uncomfortable, and the two singles were unstable (on wheels on a timber floor, so they travel around the room with movement
I would never stay here again
- Rebecca (10/5): - The unit was perfect, clean with great amenities. Fantastic communication. Highly recommend 😄
- Anna (6/5): - The bathroom was moldy. The key didnt lock the door properly. The vents in the air conditioning was fullnor dust and dirt. The location was great but i wont be back.
- Karen (8/5): - The property is very close to the city and transport to all areas. Kids loved the pool. I would stay there again. Great for families having the three bedrooms. Our only concern was no plug for the hand basins or the bath.
- Chris (10/5): - Very spacious for a 2 bedroom apartment in Southbank. Didn’t feel crowded with 4 adults. Great views. Comfortable beds.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Apartment was in okay condition however curtains in ensuite need replacing. All amenities worked well with full sized fridge. Key to door kept sticking which made it hard to open. No reception onsite however Dena (property manager) was only a phone call way.
Property is in excellent position for easy access to Southbank, casino etc.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Good Melbourne Apartment Option - Great location for Melbourne and other suburbs nearby. Easy to access the CBD and Albert Park is a short drive away. Good sized rooms. Could be renovated and refreshed a bit, but fine for a few nights stay.
- Taylah (8/5): Big apartment and bang for buck - Huge room! Slightly older, but great location and check-in was relatively quick!
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Good spacious apartment. Near south melbourne market and crown casino
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Was great location, close to casino, easy walk into the city if that’s something you want to do.
A variety of supermarkets, restaurant and cafes are close by.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Comunicaton was excellent, they went out of their way in whatever they could do. They provide numerous options free of charge (as late check out),they replied really quick.
Location of the property was amazing too
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Nice and close to Southbank. Appartment comfortable however nothing adequate to cleanup a bottle of wine that fell out of the fridge door. Dish cloths and paper towel would have been good. Front door was difficult to lock.
- Steve (8/5): - Was ok. Strong stench of cigarettes pr smoke.
Had to use the Aircon the whole time as it was not good for my Wifes Asthma.
Had trouble locking and opening the front door as the door handle was stuffed.
Oberall was pretty good.
- Chris (10/5): - Nice and close to southbank. Clean and secure spacious apartment.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Perfect - Spacious and comfortable with easy walk to public transport
- Brendon (2/5): Poorly maintained - Apartment 101 is very poorly maintained. Mould in the shower, ripped carpet, broken curtains, toaster, iron, TV remote and door handle. No drawers, holes in the wall. I assume some of the apartments are fine, just not this one. We contacted the property manager (only a phone number is avalable) and no assistance was given. Unless you are getting a great deal, I would not recommend this apartment.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - It’s quit average. the facilities are a bit old. Loud fan in the bath room. Had to pick up key after hours from far away. Certainly won’t be my first choice next time.
- Jackal (6/5): - Inner service apartment was fair.
However, there’s a terrible experience for me with EXPEDIA, and definitely will not book with Expedia anymore.
As you can check, the condition of the original hotel, Experience Bella Hotel, MEL, are not available for staying.
The hotel reception asked us to call Expedia hotline to get someone help. All the staffs I get contacted are nice and kind, but it takes a long time to fix the problem.
First, I supposed to check in at Tuesday, the hotel reception told me that the hotel flooding since Sunday. Then why Expedia cannot send us email or via telephone to tell us?
Second, finally the price of Inner service apartment are much cheaper than the original hotel, Experience Bella hotel. Then will Expedia do any compensation or just leave it like this? Totally not satisfied with Expedia.
Hope to get reply.
- Ray (10/5): Great hotel close to Southbank - Wife and I often stay in the Melbourne CBD from the country as the daughter is going to university in Melbourne. First time staying at these apartments and just wonderful. Booked a two bedroom unit and got upgraded to a three bedroom unit. Apartment was huge and fully self contained. Two balconies with awesome view of Melbourne. Walking distance to Southbank and all the pubs and restaurants. Short stroll over the Yarra Rive thru Southbank and you are into the CBD of Melbourne. Bit of a pain having to collect the keys to the apartment from a different address but both easy to find and close together. Could leave the keys at the apartment so didn't have to drop them off again so that was a bonus. Double glazed windows and doors and so no sound of the traffic at night. Great price too.......Ray
- Rose (8/5): Great Stay - Was a lovely spot to stay. Bit of a hassle getting the keys and parking organised. Had to wait a while cute we arrived to early . Rooms were excellent, nothing to complain about except getting in!
- maggie (8/5): Trip to Melbourne - The apartment was very clean and tidy, I would be happy to stay their again.
- Mary (4/5): Needs work - Not worth the price tag given the cracked window, the unemptied ash tray, the confusing car park arrangements and general lack lustre appearance.
- Julie (10/5): Exceeded expectation - Brilliant location. House keeping staff were lovely - very accommodating and friendly. Fantastic sized apartments. Kids loved the pool. Surprisingly quiet in the rooms. Would definitely stay again and definitely recommend.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - We went away with my husband and four girls, we loved our stay had no problems and the room and view was great thank you
- Verified traveler (6/5): Close to city - A nice place to stay . Close to casino and town. Would stay there again.
- Verified traveler (4/5): Booked by accident but never again - My secretary booked this "hotel" by accident. This was a genuine mistake for another location that I routinely stay at in Southbank. Despite immediately contacting the hotel, they refused to cancel the booking. Upon arrival, it appeared the toilet had not been cleaned. Insects in the ceiling lights. Furniture and fit out is very sparse and tired-looking. Will never stay here again.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Difficult check in! - After 2 phone calls to confirm parking and bedding arrangements when we arrived the remote for the parking wasn't left with our keys so we had to drive to south Melbourne to pick it up. The bed was made up as a king not 2 singles.
- H and B (8/5): - Position perfect for us easy walk to Sth bank and tram to tennis at Melbourne Pk. Or water taxi. Safe walking at night.
- Verified traveler (10/5): all about location - We were there for 1 night. Good size apartment, comfy beds great location
- Verified traveler (8/5): Good location - Basic room but had everything we needed. Good location, easy walking distance to public transport.
- Uyen (6/5): Average hotel. I'd rate it at 3 stars exacly. - The WiFi didn't work at all. The beds were very uncomfortable including the pillows. The shower tap was leaking. there was a bit of mould in the bathroom due to no ventillation. The couches were worn out and uncomfortable. There were stains on the dining room chairs. Other than that, the rest of it was very nice and convenient.
- Verified traveler (4/5): Nice hotel close to facilities - Instructions were poor and heating did not work in the room and only one blanket per bed
- stewy (2/5): HONESTLY READ THEY DONT DESERVE YOUR MONEY! - I had 2 rooms, for 2 nights; in the 1st room the fridge did not work the heating did not work, the 2nd room had dirty tissues left next to couch seen as walked in and the heating also did not work.
I rang the booking number got all the apologies and send some one and call me back.
No one came and no one called after 1.5hrs I called got told it was a known issue and couldn't fix till Tuesday and also cause now after 5pm couldn't send anyone so tomorrow, the next day around 2pm some group comes with a new fridge and takes the old one and doesn't know anything about heating. I call again no resolution didn't even offer to bring in portable heaters! It got below 3degrees both nights it was COLD you could not sleep! Oh and so far after asking for some sort of refund as unacceptable for no heating I got offered $25per night WHAT A JOKE!
It was my birthday so least to say this kinda ruined it
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Stayed here while attending a conference at Hisense arena - comfortable, scenic walking distance away.
- Verified traveler (6/5): basic but OK - Bed comfortable, concierge helpful. Shower needs an exhaust fan, but shower good. Fridge doors open wrong way and difficult to use. Basic cutlery etc, all you need. Carpet could do with a good clean. windows don't seal properly and quite noisy. Curtains provided good black out. Need drawers when staying for a week.
- Verified traveler (6/5): 26 floor drop - Apartment was good when we found it. My son walked in and found a window, opened the latches and pushed open. This was on the 26 floor. It was a straight drop down. Closed it and put mattress against it so couldn't get to it. Lock didn't work on the window so couldn't lock it, and the handles were easy to reach, even my 18month old could reach. Rang them and told them about this. Said it could not be fixed. It could have been, all needed to do is move locks higher, which had been done in the main bedroom. Bathroom had mould and the exhaust fan was broken.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Amazing views and facilities. Felt very extravagant at a very reasonable price.
- Jo (2/5): Terrible experience ever - No service staff in the apartment. Security deposit was asked by phone. Staff at the concierge are not dedicated with the apartment. Door lock was very worned so hard to get in and out by keys. Most electronics didn't work - dishwasher, tumble dryer. Waited for 10 mins to get hot water shower. Power outage experience on Sunday and a manager was so rude and hung up the phone during a conversation. Rooms were so hot - air conditioner is only at the living room - and viewed by apartments near by. We had to close blinds all times. Blinds are not easy to operate. It was the terrible experince ever we've booked through Expedia!
- Adrian (8/5): - Great location and lovely 2 bedroom apartment with a fabulous view of the bay.
- Verified traveler (6/5): nice central location - got there after normal check in- h call to concierge and all good.
room ok- futon has big bar across so have to be midget or contortionist to be able to sleep or relax on them!
night out and looking forward to sleep after a long day- bed had been made with clean sheets- but it was short sheeted!
mattress had sheet going across bed but nothing where your feet would be- a crap night sleep as partner sound asleep and couldn't remake bed- glad it was only one night.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Hotel close to Crown - Check in was easy but with limited information provided. E.g. No directions given as to how to access the pool and gym. Room was comfortable and well equipped, but had a stale smoke smell, and bathroom had dirty tiles.
- Verified traveler (4/5): only thing going is its location - The shower in the bathroom had furry mould in the tiles, the iphone dock was broken, concierge was not at all interested in helping out . Was told our bags would be collected and dropped off at 3:00 for collection but we had to chase that up when arriving back
- Verified traveler (4/5): Beds - View was nice and location good, but the main bed was terrible at best.
One side of the bed king bed was broken where you nearly rolled of it at night.
I spent most of the night squashed up on my wife's side of the bed which wasn't broken and the rest on the couch.
So really bad nights sleep!
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Very comfortable stay, great location. walk to CBD
- rich (8/5): great southbank location - the apartment was well equipped and clean, travel cot was supplied for our baby, pool and gym were good to have, kids loved the pool. southbank/casino/CBD/train stations all within easy walking distance.
Only downside really was that the bedrooms were very cold at night, big drafts off windows and the heating located in the main living area did little to raise the temperature even at full blast with the bedroom doors open. plenty of blankets for adults and older kids, but we struggled to keep baby warm.
- Chris (6/5): Good, basic accomodation for families - Good basic ammenities; good walking distance to all CBD for families of 'tweens, teenagers. Nice pool. Car parking and Wifi included is excellent.
