- Clare (10/5): Fabulous from start to finish. We will definitely be back - Everything Nothing
- Karrie (10/5): The only place to stay in great yarmouth!! - Fantastic stay here with my partner for the 1night
Friendly,welcoming and helpful staff
Clean and tidy bedrooms with everything u need for a stay, massive shower room!!
The evening meal was cooked to perfection with fresh ingredients.
Plenty of parking outside the hotel and only a 2mins walk from the beachfront
Thankyou to everyone for a wonderful stay and andover hotel. Nothing!!
- Alan (6/5): OK for a one night stay would stay longer if shower wasn't so small - Good size room and a comfy bed and a good location 2 minutes walk to the beach and attractions The shower was too small didn't have room to turn around
- Christopher (10/5): Great hotel, nice people - Everyone was so friendly and helpful. The decor was tasteful, the gym had new, excellent equipment, the dinner and breakfast were top notch, this is the kind of hotel I dream of when travelling for business

- Sean (9/5): An amazing place for anyone traveling, you will not be disapointed - Victoria was fantastic and super friendly. Unique building and surprisingly large. Had a great Gym and the breakfast was one of the best I've had in months (and I travel a lot) the Chef "from S. Korea" should be nominated for the Master Chef program, I haven't seen passion on a plate like this in a long time. He truly has a love for food and this should not be overlooked. I think his name was Darrin (forgive me if I'm wrong but this guy is going places so please support him on his future Culinary journey, I mean that, he is one of a kind. If I had to complain about something, the spring on the door was sooo strong it kept slamming the door closed, could adjust it a little softer (if that's my only complaint, this is a pretty amazing review :)
- peterhJ698KS (10/5): Top hotel in Yarmouth - A great place to stay, bar, gym, restaurant it has it all really. Good room as well but no biscuits! Victoria our host was friendly & chatty. Very helpful.
Short walk to the beach & places to eat etc. Ideal worth a visit. And you can park the car for free.

- petersV6038EP (10/5): Lovely friendly hotel - This was our 4th visit and once again fully met our expectations.
Lovely clean suit with a nice comfortable bed and really good powerful shower.
Our dinner in the restaurant was delicious (Tuscan Chicken) and very well presented, as was the breakfast that was excellent quality and really sets you up for the day.
Victoria and the staff are exceptionally good at making you feel at home with nothing being too much bother. There is a well stocked bar to enjoy when you come out of the restaurant.
Canât fault this hotel and have already booked another trip in September.
- Quest01413072200 (10/5): Lovely boutique hotel - We have visited this lovely gem of a hotel before and were not disappointed this time, as always, great customer service and we also met the lovely lady chef, who kindly customised my pasta meal to be veganized!
Room was good, and bed comfortable too.
Special shout out to Barbora ( not sure about the spelling!) a lovely young lady who was busy serving us and in charge of reception too, she was amazing and so friendly and helpful.
We will be back!
- Joanna (10/5): Exellent - Booked this last minute and wasnât disappointed the room was better then expected spotlessly clean asked for different pillow as they are feathered and swapped no questions asked
- Ingrid (9/5): Had a great stay and would definitely stay there again - Nice and clean, friendly staff Finding parking wasnât easy
- Viktorija (4/5): Disappointing - Nice place on seaside. Luckily there was iron in closet. Too small room. Iâve stayed in nr 7. No balcony. Small bathroom. Towels wasnât changed daily.
Way too big price for that.
- Trevor (8/5): Helpful staff. Very clean and a quiet location. Ideal for our short stay. -
- carolinebZ680UW (10/5): A LITTLE GEM OF A BOUTIQUE HOTEL - So I am back on my travels and I can't praise this hotel highly enough. Managed by Victoria and her team it is a true gem. Immaculately modernized, with a smart bar, lounge and dining areas. You can sit outside the front and watch the world go by or relax in the quiet courtyard at the rear of the hotel. It is so central near the casino and Wellington Pier. The bedrooms [there are 27] are well planned, modernized and decorated, and very comfortable, with excellent mattresses, crisp linen and large soft fluffy towels. Super sized flat screen TV - that you can swivel , with a proper chair to sit in and relax. WIFI connected easily. Celebrating? pick the large ground floor super bedroom complete with bath as well as a walk in shower. As a listed building there is no lift - so be aware top rooms are a bit of a climb!! This is a proper adult only hotel! The prices are very fair for the high standard of the hotel.
The staff are all absolutely lovely, and breakfast [served in lower ground floor room] offered a variety of choices - continental or cooked.
There is room service, with evening meals if you are too tired to move far! Interesting choices on the menu. As with many hotels post covid, please remember to ask if you want your room serviced. The bar is a delightful place to end your evening.
I honestly could find very little I would want changed - except a teapot for breakfast tea - I bet the next time I visit they will be supplied! And a biscuit or two with the room kettle and hot drink supplies.
They offer a very personal service, so ring up and ask for the type of room you want, and book direct with the hotel, that way you will get a discount or free breakfast.
Outside there is on street parking, but it is a quiet road, I found a space and unlike a lot of Great Yarmouth it is free.
Great Yarmouth itself has so much to offer, and if you are going for a show at the Hippodrome or Gorleston Pavilion or one on Britannia Pier this is such a good choice.
- Tracey (8/5): It was a pleasant stay. - Staff very friendly and helpful. En-suite showers are very small and no toiletries.
No staff or bar after 10.30pm.
- Manivon.e (7/5): Good -
- Andrew (10/5): 10/10 - An excellent stay, always a warm welcome, food is amazing, 10/10
- Martin (8/5): - lovely hotel with friendly staff
- Daniel (10/5): Hotel was great, room was much larger than we thought, restaurant and bar were both good and the people who run the hote - Excellent hotel, really lovely and accommodating people - would definitely recommend. Nothing to fault.
- A.M (8/5): - Always a comfortable, clean and stylish stay. Lovely staff and great location to explore the town from.
- stephen (8/5): - Nice clean room, nice staff.
- Faye (10/5): Exceptional -
- karenhC9414HC (10/5): A gem of a hotel - Highly recommend this hotel. This was our 3rd visit to this beautiful hotel.
We stayed in the house double which was very spacious. The bed was huge & very comfy!
The breakfast was very filling with lots of choice & the staff were very friendly đ
- garycE3537GG (10/5): Lovely stay. - Another lovely stay at Andover House, good location, lovely rooms, good food and great staff. Always a friendly welcome from all of the staff from morning until evening. Even the weather was kind to us. We hope to return again soon.
Gary & Karen.
- Rob (9/5): Superb -
- Kamaljasneet (4/5): Disappointing - Booked room for 2 people and they offered small double, poor ventilation. Still had winter duvets on we couldnt sleep at night as we were so hot and uncomfortable. There was a fan but it could only be put on the floor and the direction of the fan was too low to be aimed at us. The fan was fanning the bed, not helpful. Slept for maybe 2 hrs and had a 6 hr drive the next day as it was shattered
- Brian (8/5): PROBABLY THE BEST CHOICE HOTEL FOR SOLO TRAVELLERS OR COUPLES - Apart from some seafront hotels used by large coach tours, the Andover House Hotel is one of few, quality private hotels in Great Yarmouth. Best approached from the seaward side, the hotel offers reasonable, warm and comfortable accommodation. My food, off the relatively limited and expensive dinner menu, turned out to be very well cooked and enjoyable. The hotel is a longish walk from the town centre, if arriving by public transport, and because of widespread deprivation throughout Great Yarmouth, the historic resort area in which the hotel is located, is best approached from the well maintained and lit seafront.
- Donovan (10/5): Exceptional -
- Darren (9/5): Superb - All of it was great and amazing staff
- Squashyone (10/5): Nice hotel - The hotel is less than 5 minutes from the sea front and the Sea life centre. Parking is on the road outside the hotel. The Thyme suite has a very nice double room with ensuite and lounge with sofa. Comfortable and nicely decorated. Downstairs there is a lounge to relax. There is also a bar and restaurant but we did not use it so can not rate it. Breakfast is included if you book with the hotel directly. My husband had a full full English breakfast which had good quality produce and very nice. The eggs Benedict was also lovely. The staff were polite and friendly.
- Andrew (10/5): 5 stars - A wonderful stay, I was look forward to staying at Andover House. A cosy stay with superb food! Compliments to the chef!
- Gillian (10/5): Exceptional -
- Chris (9/5): Superb -
- Terry (10/5): Exceptional - Location, comfortable bed Nothing
- GBradleyMrs (10/5): What a find! - Enjoyed a one night stay in the beautiful Andover House in Great Yarmouth. Set back from the promenade in a quiet tree lined street. Warm welcome from the team. Very well presented hotel. Spotlessly clean. Huge Room (we stayed in the Thyme Suite). The restaurant was very good, food delicious, service great and good selection of beers/drinks. Breakfast was freshly cooked to order. Really enjoyed our stay and will definitely return when we are back in Great Yarmouth. Thank You!
There was also loads of free on street parking.
- martin (10/5): - Lovely hotel and friendly staff
- Donovan (10/5): Exceptional -
- Mark (10/5): A Gem - Great Adult only Hotel with good restaurant and service.
- Luke (9/5): Superb -
- Colin (8/5): Very good -
- johngN7918HU (10/5): An oasis of calm in such a frenetic town - I have had the pleasure of staying at the Andover several times in the past few months. It is a delight to find such an oasis of calm in such a frenetic town. The rooms are elegant and yet comfortable. Victoria and her staff always professional without being stuffy and the Eggs Benedict are to die for. Thank you
- Stephen (10/5): Exceptional -
- O'sullivan (8/5): Very good -
- Martyn (10/5): Exceptional -
- Ian (10/5): - Hotel is a lovely place to stay ,food fantastic ,hotel staff are just the best you can hope for ,exceptional ,we had a wonderful stay ,
- Donovan (10/5): I wish all hotel staff were like this. - The staff were friendly and caring. N/A
- Green (9/5): Superb -
- Peter (10/5): Excellence personified - The standard was excellent in every respect. I do think that breakfast was a bit expensive but I did think that the restaurant was good value and top quality. The staff were perfect đ The price of breakfast.
- Tony (9/5): Superb -
- Sharon (9/5): Comfortable hotel in good location - Clean and very comfortable bedroom with lovely spacious shower room. Nothing - everything was fine!
- Jim (10/5): Exceptional - Breakfast was very nice, lots to choose from.
- David (10/5): - Great location and well run hotel. All staff were friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay here again.
- petersV6038EP (10/5): Return visit - We stayed here in May and loved it so much that we returned in August.
Both the hotel and Yarmouth were very busy but again we had a great stay.
Canât fault this place, lovely clean rooms and great food in the restaurant.
The staff are amazing, really welcoming and friendly.
Yet another return visit is already planned.
- Anthony (10/5): One night business - Nice hotel. You can tell they are doing something different from the others. The staff are very helpful and attentive.
- Jeremy (9/5): Wonderful hotel with great staff, just a minor issue with parking - Nice modern hotel with period features, really nice spacious room (we had the Thyme suite), excellent breakfast and first-class staff in all areas. Handy location in terms of just being off the beaten track meaning itâs only a 2 minute walk to the seafront. Parking was an issue during the busy BH weekend we visited with all spaces immediately outside the hotel taken, many with cars that looked to have not moved in months. Itâs probably less of an issue off-peak season though. We ended up having to park some distance away down a side streetâŚit was free so that was good but it was a 10 minute walk past some, putting it politely, less-than-desirable properties and people. In fact, such a nice hotel being in the immediate vicinity of these undesirables is a shame, but once inside the hotel itself it delights throughout.
- Jonathan (9/5): Great place to stay with quality food too. - Location, facilities, great food, friendly staff, nice rooms. Parking was busy and spaces were small.
- Phillip (8/5): Very good - Very nice and clean, great location. Bed Very comfortable, bathroom Very spacious. House keeping unavailable on Saturday.
- Lora (8/5): - Wonderful reception and well established rooms, shower needs an upgrade (poor flow) and could hear guy next door snoring his head off and even fan for their bathroom in the night. Excellent bar and service.
- Andy (9/5): Superb -
- Levi (9/5): clean and comfortable, great value for money! - very comfortable and great value for money. very clean and the breakfast was lovely, would highly recommend for anyone looking for a weekend away! only 3 mins from the sea front!
