• Paul (9/5): This place is a bargain and has very friendly and helpful staff. - Flamboyan Hotel is a hidden gem of a place to stay. Tucked behind a few laneways that lead right out onto the main drag, Discovery Mall and a plethora of good bars and restaurants. Pool is great, staff great, rooms old but very clean. No fridge in the room but apparently you can request one.

• Thea (10/5): I will most definitely stay again next visit to Bali - What a beautiful find this was. I booked for a week but extended my stay as the place was just so peaceful and quiet. The pool is great and it felt like I had the place to myself most of my visit. The staff were amazing, nothing was too much trouble at all. Bed very comfortable and the aircon cold.

It is a cute garden with clean pool My shower was either very cold or very hot. There are chickens that make a lot of noise starting very early in the morning and they never stop. I couldn’t sleep well. Pillow is hard

• Saskia (8/5): - Einfache hübsche authentische indonesische Einrichtung. Alles gut unterhalten. Bett bequem, gute Matratze. Wasserkocher mit Tee , Instantkaffee und zwei kleine Wasserflaschen (wird täglich frisch aufgefüllt). Im Badezimmer die besten Badetücher, die ich bis jetzt in Indonesien hatte, weich, riechen frisch und sind ganz. Korbsessel auf dem kleinen Sitzplatz vor dem Zimmer. Schöne Bepflanzung der Anlage mit angenehmem Swimmingpool. Lage sehr ruhig, keine Lärm von der nahen grossen Strasse. Strand schnell erreichbar. Frühstück klein aber fein. Bescheidener Wasserdruck, aber da kann das Hotel wohl nichts dafür. Es gab nur kaltes Wasser zum Duschen.

To start with the positives—the room itself was comfortable and clean, with a great working air conditioner that made a big difference, especially in the heat. We really appreciated how lovely and helpful the host and the staff were. Their friendly attitude and willingness to assist made the stay more enjoyable and welcoming. However, there were several areas that could use some attention. Unfortunately, there were no thick blankets provided, which made the nights a little too cold for comfort. The bathroom also did not have hot or even warm water, which was a bit disappointing, especially for morning or night showers after big activities and outings . Another downside was the lack of a TV in the room, which might not bother everyone but is usually expected as a basic amenity. Additionally, the bathroom had no glass on the windows, which raised concerns about privacy and made it less comfortable overall. While it was a nice touch that tea bags, coffee, sugar, and bottled water were supplied, there were no tea cups or teaspoons provided—something very simple that could greatly improve the experience for guests. In summary, while the stay was comfortable and the host truly made a positive impact, I believe a few small upgrades and additions could really elevate the overall experience. I would consider staying again, especially if these details are addressed.

• Vanessa (3/5): We only use this hotel as a stopover before our flight. I definitely wouldn’t book a holiday there but it was cheap and - The pool area was lovely. You definitely get what you pay for. At $35 a night I guess we didn’t expect much more . It was great as a cheap place to hang out while we’re waiting for our night flight.

The property is not luxury but you get what you pay for so I can stay again. Apart from the comforter, there was nothing to dislike. The AC remote was not very smooth but worked overall.

• Verified traveler (8/5): My Flamboyan Stay - This is my favorite hotel when visiting Bali. Not big and fancy, but small, comfortable, quiet setting with beautiful landscaping. Rooms are big and staff is very friendly.

When it worked it worked well but there would be several minutes of “connected but no internet” on my devices. That and a couple of centipedes in the room, one on the bed pillows.

Not the comfiest bed but expected with cost. The bathroom didn't have windows so the cleaning smell took a bit to dilute out the front door.

• Arnaud (9/5): Fantastic hosts and superb location - We could not book our usual place when we came back to Komodo so decided to book Flamboyan Hotel. The grounds are very well maintained and beautiful. The swimming pool is small but very clean and there are loungers by it. The rooms are clean and the AC is good (after a whole week without it, it felt very good). There is a nice verandah in front of each room with a drying rack. As it is in a back street, it is quiet. One of the attractions for us was the very close proximity to WaterBoom, the fantastic waterpark (literally 5mn walk). There are lots of restaurants nearby ranging from expat places (pricey) to local places (a lot cheaper). Staff was very friendly and accommodating. We had breakfast at the place and it was simple but freshly cooked. We would definitely consider coming back next time we are in Bali. Add a juice option for people who don't drink tea or coffee at breakfast?

It’s in great location 10 mins from airport. - The locations and loved the setting the little pool and the buildings with lovely well kept gardens and paths spotless Nothing for the purposes of my holiday to Kuta and for the price I couldn’t fault the hotel at all. It’s older property so you won’t get newer fixtures and fittings but it was clean and the owners couldn’t do enough for you. So friendly and happy constantly cleaning, sweeping watering and asking if I needed anything lovely family I’m Scottish but live in Australia - first time in Bali and I’ll def stay here again - thanks for the hospitality

There was always someone there which makes it safe and very helpful. It was great the only advice I could give to the staff there is to improve their English.

• Joanna (10/5): Great place to relax, work and even learn balenise culture! - Amazing guesthouse with great hosts and staff. Everyone was super friendly and helpful. I got to learn Indonesian every day, the breakfast was personalised, very tasty and I got to enjoy it by the beautiful, clean pool every day. The garden around was gorgeous and well maintained. Because of the specific plant choice there weren't any mosquitos and annoying insects. The staff was able to arrange a scooter, laundry services and even helped with meds delivery while I was going through a sunstroke. The place has a family vibe, the area is quiet, free of roosters and construction noise. It's hidden from the main road and still it takes you 5-7minutes to get to the beach. The internet was fast and high quality- a rare thing in Bali. It's a great value for money and I'd recommend any family/ couple or solo travelers to stay there!

The staff spent their time sleeping and watching movies on their phones in the reception area. On the plus side the location is good but I would not recommend this property to anyone.
• Annika (8/5): - When I arrived at night there was a problem with my check-in. I had booked a room for one night and paid for it. But they wanted me to pay and also for two nights. So it took a while until they realized they had confused me with someone else. Lucky for me I paid attention even though I had travelled and just got from the Airport. Other than that my stay was good. Clean room and comfy bed. The hotel was located a few minutes from the mainroad where all the restaurants are. So the hotel area were very quiet. In all a good stay.
