Guest Reviews
- Siddiqah (10/5): - The view we had was absolutely amazing! The location of the hotel was exceptional for visiting all the popular beaches daily! Already planning my return trip.
- Robert (6/5): - Hotel has a fantastic view of the bay and in a very convenient location to get anywhere on the island. Our room was clean and very large. Only issue during our stay was no TV or Internet service due to service issue, so we were told. They never disclosed the service issue upon checking in which would have been the right thing to do. No offer was made to compensate for lack of service.
- DARWIN ALFONSO (8/5): - I liked the room. My only issue was the lack of dining options. Restaurant was closed and outside many places were closed too.
- Steve D (6/5): - I was pretty satisfied. I was comfortable, got work done in between relaxation. A few minor aesthetic and cosmetic issues. Got a special deal, which I appreciated. Especially appreciated the work ethic and positive/polite attitude of the staff. Because it was carnival, access to restaurant was limited. Decent find for the time.
- Erik W (10/5): Great bang for buck ocean view hotel - Great hotel right overlooking the water of Sandy ground beach. The resort is not on the water, there is a small street and steep cliff in front. But the view is amazing.
We were very pleased with the cleanliness of the room and comfortable bed. The picture on this home page was our room, lol. Look at our room pic - just fantastic.
Small pool in a courtyard type setting. Centrally located to getting around the island. Inexpensive for all you get here. Our stay was only one night, as our plans changed. You must try the Village Bakehouse for amazing pastries and coffee which is only a mile or 2 away.
- Shannon (10/5): - Great place
- Ladasha (8/5): - Great stay!!
- Bradley (10/5): - Nice view of harbor area. Room was spacious and clean. Centrally located on the island so easy to get around.
- Neil (8/5): - Very clean property. Cleaning staff was top notch and rooms were large and usable. View was grwat over the bay.
Not for people looking for an all inclusive type holiday. Need a car to get around.
- Francisco (10/5): - The view
- Kimberly (6/5): - It's a beautiful place to stay. It does get noisy at night when the cars cruise by Sandy Ground on Back Street blaring their music, but when I put on the air conditioning and shut the bathroom door, it drowned out the music. The air conditioning is wonderful, the bed was super-comfy, the shower was nice, and there was plenty of room for all my stuff. Thank you, La Vue!
- Alberto (10/5): - The people at La Vue make this hotel an special place! From the manager to our favourite Chef Mr. Kevin 👨🍳
The rooms were clean an spacious, easy parking, great food at breakfast and dinner, Kevin made us feel cared and well cared every time we ate at the hotel restaurant.
Thanks for everything and looking for a future visit to La Vue 😎
- Noe (10/5): - Services personal are great, property is clean!
- Tim (6/5): Nice rooms not much for food options - Hotel was ok, really nice rooms, very poor restaurant and no dining options in the area. Staff was very helpful.
- Russ (10/5): Very relaxing stay - My wife and I spent four nights at La Vue Boutique Inn and had a very relaxing stay. Our room had a beautiful view of the harbor. Would recommend renting a car as there are lots of beaches and restaurants to visit.
- Jason (10/5): - For anyone looking for a fancy hotel/villa, this is not for you, HOWEVER if you're looking for a clean, convenient and friendly environment at very reasonable rates, this is a little gem. Staff is friendly, grounds & rooms are clean and comfortable. Bay-view rooms are a pleasure to wake up to. Equipped kitchenette allows you to prepare your own meals, if you so choose. Made a few friends while there, would definitely go again!
- Przemyslaw (10/5): - Very clean place , beautiful view and awesome staff. Highly recommended
- Martin (10/5): - Great view over Sandy Ground harbor & good location to get to both ends of the island & beaches!
- vincent Enzo (10/5): - Fantastic place to stay, great location, casual, super friendly staff, best view from the front balconies. Will be back for sure.
- Frederick (8/5): - Clean simple facility with super friendly, helpful and competent staff. The so called restaurant is not really functioning, but there is an excellent cook there to make breakfast and the French toast was the best we ever had.
- AARON (8/5): - Very content stay. TV may need to be upgraded but the view outside is great.
- Michael (10/5): - Ok... for what we like... this property was great. A$holes wanting 5 star at budget price stay away. We loved it, had some hiccups, but loved it, 5 star to us
- Kerri (10/5): - We had a great time at La Vue! Check in was a breeze, we were able to check in a little early and Joy showed us to our room, which had an incredible view. La Vue was very clean and comfortable. Our first adventure was to hike down to the beach, good shoes are a must as there were broken bottles and it was very rocky (it was a one time thing!) I would recommend this hotel! We will definitely be back yo La Vue!
- Rolando (10/5): - It's my second time staying at this hotel and I love it. What ever you see about this hotel online, that's what it is. Beautiful place the cheff is amazing and malkes you feel at home and wecome. Your gets cleaned every day with such excellence. I would book this hotel again any day every day and the price was just right.
- Alessandro (10/5): - I really liked the familiar atmosphere, which was unique. All the staff were friendly. They also texted me the day before my arrive, and they helped me with ferry, taxi, rent cars, etc. I will definitely coming back here.
- Lisa (10/5): - My only "complaint" is that the restaurant wasn't open for lunch and dinner. Food was great for breakfast and when we came a little late the chef did cook something for us even though they were closed already.
- David (10/5): - Chef at the property is the best! Make sure when you are at this venue you ask for Kevin and you try his food.
- Marcus (8/5): - Really friendly staff, sadly only a two night stay, but I’d certainly go back. Clean, spacious and comfortable rooms. Good AC and some welcome water waiting in the fridge. Small touches that make all the difference.
- Sami (10/5): - Great view from our penthouse, restaurant was wonderful with the same view, and staff is extremely friendly. It’s up on the hill from the beach, about 10 minute walk down to the beach on somewhat steep gravel path. About 20 minutes walking to Sandy Ground, just make sure to get on the road at Wave’s to go around customs pier and then back to the beach at Roy’s. Can’t cross that cargo pier.
- Gloria (10/5): - The staff was excellent!! Large rooms! Hiking trail right outside the resort to beautiful SandyGround
- Marshall (10/5): - She good
- David (4/5): - Pros:
• Nice view from the street and from the restaurant
• Nice pool for the size of the property
Cons:
• Our room didn’t resemble the main photos for the hotel. Our room was sizable, but it wasn’t exactly stylish. Our room was said to have a resort view. Our resort view was through the back door that faced the pool.
• No receptionist on Sundays. Receptionist checked us in on Sunday (after we called the hotel), but pointed out that this was her day off, and she was only there to check us in
• A LONG walk to the beach (either about 50 minutes walk along the road or down some steep path
• We were told that check-out was at 11am, but we could extend to 2pm for a $20 USD fee. We only stayed one night – that next morning at 10:40am, the maid entered the room without knocking, then apologized. The receptionist called 5 minutes later to tell us that we needed to leave at 11am. We told her that we were planning to leave by 2pm, per our discussion the day before. She told us that we needed to leave, as she had a check-in sometime that day
• We were nearly double-billed for our food at the restaurant (we pointed out the error)
• Restaurant is more of a terrace where a chef works some hours of the day. We were told that there was no menu… but there were options, and the food was quite good. It’s a casual sort of operation, but it was fine
• It was rather expensive for what it was – and the location wasn’t optimal
- Melody (10/5): - I will be back! The b & b was everything and more I could ever want, peace and solitude is all I wanted and La Vue gave me that. Very happy customer and will be returning to my next visit to Anguilla ♥️♥️♥️
- Tyrone Vincent (8/5): - My wife and I truly enjoyed staying at La Vue. We spent two weeks at the hotel and it felt like a home away from home.
- David (8/5): On Business - perfect - Was on business for over a week and it was perfect from that point of view, Staff were excellent and so accommodating. Property looks over a bay on top of cliff, difficult walk down to the beach so would recommend a car to explore the Island and to get to restaurants. Couple of local bars which were good fun.
- Jaime (10/5): - Very friendly staff
- Mary Ellen (10/5): - View and pool and roosters crowing in am
- Mark (10/5): - Joy and Kevin are amazing hosts and attended to our every need for our full stay. I highly recommend staying here.
- Stephen (10/5): - The property was quaint and quite the view was superb.
Kevin the chef went out of his was to ensure we enjoyed every meal. The front office staff was pleasant and accommodating with our questions and requests. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit.
- George (8/5): La Vue Boutique Stay - The location is great, the internet connection works well.
Overall appearance of the property is satisfactory but attention to finer details is lacking. The coffee in the room is not great quality-needs to be improved.
The reception was welcoming and management flexible as well.
Restaurant /breakfast experience is not as good as I expected. Improvements required in that aspect.
- Robert (10/5): - Excellent place to stay
- Robert (10/5): - Nice Location, Local Atmosphere
- Sue (10/5): Amazingly Good Staff - This hotel has perhaps the nicest most helpful staff of any that I have stayed in. They could not have been kinder or looked after me better. Really lovely and caring. Manager, Joy, is simply excellent.
Location - great views and central on the island for travelling around
Gorgeous quiet beach just below
Large, well equipped rooms
Very tasty food in the restaurant
- Charles (10/5): - The staff was excellent in making sure I felt at home and had everything I needed for a memorable and wonderful experience.
- Gloria (8/5): - Great location & Rendezvous is so close & totally Awesome
- Stephanie (10/5): - Property was booked for family members and they had an excellent time. They thoroughly enjoyed the views of Sandy Ground and commented on the cleanliness of the place.
- Nathaniel (10/5): - .
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Nice!
- JohnnyC (8/5): - The view on the ocean view room was great. It was clean. The pool area needs renovation.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - We had a great ocean view from our third floor room. Had soap, shampoo and conditioner. Very good restaurant on the premise. Ate there twice. Only here one night. Nice pool but make sure to bring mosquito repellent. Staff are friendly and helpful.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Spacious, clean, convenient.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Quiet friendly, rooms clean and comfortable
Reasonable price
Good location
- Sherry (8/5): - We had a third floor room with a very nice view of Sandy Ground. Pretty neat seeing all the yachts. The beaches of Anguilla are truly beautiful, but our favorite was Meads Bay. Our favorite restuarant was E's Oven, especially the baked chicken. Hope to be back soon!
- anibal (8/5): Great hotel, bad restaurant - The hotel staff are really friendly and accommodating. I had an overnight stay due to business. The room was clean, bed was comfortable and the view was gorgeous. All good things said, have to warn everyone about the restaurant on the second floor which operates independently from the hotel. Decided to have breakfast to my surprise there’s no menu, the waitress tells me what they can prepare so I decided scrambled eggs, bacon, pancakes and coffee. When asked for the bill waitress informed me it was $40.00 USD. I was in disbelief and asked if it was a mistake and he meant EC Caribbean Dollars. He laughed and said no USD. Asked why so expensive and his reply was that everything is more expensive there. Explained to him that I travel on a weekly basis around the Caribbean and that I was going to pay the bill to avoid a scene but I assured him I knew it was a rip-off. Hope this is fixed and this hotel can find a reputable restaurant operator, the hotel I can recommend to anyone, the restaurant AVOID AT ALL COST.
- Andi (6/5): - You need to get beach towels from the main office but you will be lucky if you find someone there . Tv wasn’t working in our room and showering takes a looping time because water pressure is 2 out of 10 .
- Erykah (8/5): - The frontdesk staff was amazing! Thomas was extremely helpful on checkin. My alternative accommodation fell through that same morning and Thomas was very warm, patient and reassuring.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - The hotel is beautiful with beautiful views. The room was really big and comfortable. The man that worked the desk was really nice and helped us with everything we needed. I would definitely stay there again.
- Mary Jane (10/5): Love La Vue! - We have stayed at La Vue several times now and always have a great experience. Hotel prices in Anguilla are quite high, and La Vue is quite reasonable. While not as luxurious as many of these others it is quite nice and suited our needs perfectly. The location is good for us, the rooms are spacious and have a little kitchen area (at least some of them), and the staff is friendly and helpful. We plan to stay next year as well.
- KellyRB (10/5): - Huge rooms! Super clean and staff was nice! great value.
The restaurant on property was super over priced, but they don't belong to the hotel
- Verified traveler (2/5): - We never checked in. The area was so bad we left. Spent over 400.00 for nothing.
- Christian (10/5): - Very good choice, I would stay again at La Vue on my next trip. We had a beautiful view on the ocean!
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Room was spacious with a nice view and comfortable bed. Outdoor patio was small but adequate. AC worked well. Pool area was nice. Great view of Sandy Ground with a path to walk down for the sure footed.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Staff was very freindly and helpful! The room was very spacious.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Excellent get away, must have car. - Great place for the money. We spent 10 days on the ground floor facing Sandy Ground. Car drove by periodically, but it was fine. We brought binoculars and watched the busy port below. Very nice cleaning person. She cleaned and restocked towels, etc everyday except Sunday. The pool is perfect and relaxing. Small. The air conditioning was loud and we had to turn off at night to sleep but it was cool enough. The terrace faces north so it’s never hot outside. I would get a second floor or third floor room next time.
- Andrew (8/5): Small, quiet and safe. - Beautiful location on top of the hill. Restaurant is deserted at breakfast but the food is surprisingly good. The walk to the beach is fine for all but the most immobile. I completed it in flip flops, but you need to wear shoes because of broken glass. The bay has plenty of food and drink options for evening entertainment, and it’s a short and pretty safe walk back to the hotel.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - It was a beautiful property! We loved the unit. We believe we were up graded from a pool view to a ocean view. Thankful! We arrived shortly after 6:00pm and were pleased the reception desk stayed open for us. Unfortunately, the restaurant was closed on Sunday nights. Our taxi driver was able to take us to a great local restaurant close by. Good food! Probably what frustrated us the most is that when we made the reservation we believed it to be a B&B which included a complimentary breakfast. Someone should check the websites that promote this establishment and make the necessary changes. Thanks! We would return should we be in the Anguilla neighborhood!
- Marc (8/5): Remote - People come to Anguilla for the relaxed lifestyle. Location is a bit remote but there are a few bars/resturats within walking distance. Exceptional view and conviently located if you scuba.
- Litr8r86 (10/5): - What a find!! Probably the nicest hotel on the island for the money. Outstanding view, great staff. Close to places we wanted to go. Beach is gorgeous and nearly deserted. The walk to the beach is a little bit of a negative, but still, over all, worth the effort. We would stay here again in a heartbeat! A great value!
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Our stay at LaVue was great! The room was spacious and comfortable! The staff was extremely helpful in helping us arrange transportation around the island and making recommendations. The restaurant at the hotel, Flavors, was also very good! We never had a bad meal: breakfast, lunch, or dinner! The hotel location is central all the "must see's" around the island so it was ideal for planning our day trips! Highly recommend LaVue and if we visit Anguilla again in the future, we plan to stay here again!
- Cristiana (8/5): - La Vue Boutique Inn exceeded our expectations. We were upgraded to a Ocean View room and it had a beautiful view of Sandy Ground Bay. The room was very spacious and comfortable with a seating area, fully functional kitchen, sleeping area and bathroom. No bathtub but a big shower that worked well. The hotel is a little bit dated, but very clean. Overall we were very pleased with our stay and would recommend it.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Happens to be August Festival week in Anguilla. This small resort has an EXCELLENT view to Sandy Ground where all the boat races and activities are being held - nonstop music and breathtaking views. The 3rd floor accommodation has the largest balcony in the entire resort (no cover for shade). Spacious king bed suite with separate dining, full kitchen with medium size fridge with 2 doors (larger than a dorm size fridge). The bed sleeps very well. Spacious bathroom with shower (no tub) and general amenities. Staff is very engaging and Kenisha will answer questions prior to arrival, if needed.
Sandy Island is clearly visible from La Vue. The path near La Vue to Sandy Ground beach is UNDER four (4) minutes. Also, the top is not as steep as some make it seem (going down) but it's gravel. I saw people going down in thin strappy sandals and flip flips. The path back up however, takes just a little longer - under 6 minutes.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - We had a wonderfful stay the hotel were very nice and confortable, nice sea vew
My wife and i had a good time
- Sue (10/5): Amazing View - Wonderful place to stay! Great staff, very clean and comfortable room, I would highly recommend.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Views for days! - Loved the views and restaurant! Room was very spacious and clean. Would highly and strongly recommend this place! The bath towels could be updated? They were a tad worn and thin. Other than that one very minor thing... this place is absolutely fabulous!!
- Verified traveler (10/5): Wonderful view - Wonderful view.
Spacious.
Clean.
Quiet.
Great on site restaurant
- Verified traveler (8/5): We were happy with the hotel. - When we got here we heard the price had been reduced to 100 a night as we had no tv and room service only every other day. They said Expedia was notified and it was on Facebook.
We understand you get a commission but some of the savings should have been passed on to your clients.
What is your take on this.
We have used expedia for years but this kind of hurt!
- Genevieve (8/5): Relaxing Vacation - Lovely stay in Anguilla at La Vue. The accommodation isn't fancy but it was clean and had everything that we needed. There is a restaurant on the premises but we did not partake of any meals there. There is a lovely pool area as well.
- Manu (10/5): Beautiful view & friendly staff - The hotel is located on a hill with a beautiful view of the sea. The staff is very friendly and helpful; hotel rooms are spacious and include a dinning area with set up table plus a kitchen equipped with stove, coffe maker (paper filter - provided by the hotel as well as coffee and sugar; utensils, pots and pans, dishes, large fridge and microwave. The internet connection is excellent. The beach is not within walking distance; taxis are expensive but if you can handle driving on the other side (British way) renting a car is a much more affordable way of getting around. 2 minutes walking from the hotel is a well supplied medium size supermarket.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - It was a great value. Large suites. Friendly staff. Was a comfortable place to stay for the price. The only negative was it wasn't on the beach.
- Renee (10/5): Charm and authenticity - Anguilla is its own 3rd world country on an island in the Caribbean. Unleased dogs bark, roosters crow, roads are rough and recycling has not arrived. But La Vue has delicious tap water, world class beds and an unbeatable view. Its grounds are covered in gorgeous flowers and its office is full of lovely staff.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Wonderful Inn with a uplifting view - I cannot say enough good things about this wonderful Inn. My room was beautiful along with the great view overlooking Sandy Ground, the main port of Anguilla. The staff is very friendly and helpful. La Vue is centrally located on the island. Staying here was an awesome experience!
- Joan (8/5): Great staff and wonderful views - La Vue is a great moderately priced option on Anguilla. Our unit had an ocean view from the balcony and was spacious with a small living room and kitchenette. While the property is centrally located on Anguilla, you will need a car to truly get around. Reservations manager Kanisha is delightful and very helpful.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Nice hotel - centrally located, very clean. - Great staff, very convenient, great view, cool pool, kitchenette very useful and staff always willing to help. Many return guests like us - reasonably priced. Disappointed that the restaurant next door has essentially closed.
