The staff were exceptionally attentive and helpful—always going above and beyond to ensure our experience was nothing short of amazing. The location is superb: quiet, peaceful, and incredibly convenient. A supermarket, car, and bike rentals are right across the road, and there are two excellent restaurants within walking distance. The beach is simply divine—clean, serene, and just steps from the villa. This place truly offers the perfect blend of comfort, convenience, and tranquility. We couldn’t have asked for a better getaway. 15/10 overall—highly recommended!

• Dannii (10/5): - I would stay here again! The location is great—there is a 24-hour supermarket right across from the villas, and a waterfall is within walking distance. If you don’t want to eat out, the villas provide all necessary cooking equipment, including salt and pepper. The swimming pool and beach are just a few steps away, and snorkeling in the lagoon is fantastic. Kayaks and stand-up paddleboarding equipment are also available. The staff are super friendly and accommodating. There’s also a reliable rental company with friendly staff just across the road. The only small downside is that the official check-out time is 10 AM, while the airport shuttle pick-up is at 12:30 PM. Since the villas weren’t very busy (our room wasn’t cleaned immediately after we checked out at 11 AM), it would have been nice to stay until the shuttle pick-up time. However, there may have been other considerations we weren’t aware of. Overall, I would still highly recommend these villas to friends and family!

• Peter (6/5): Location is great but office is rarely staffed - Location is great as Wigmore's and restaurants very close. Property is on one of the best beaches on Rarotonga. Villas are a little dated and make sure you contact them and receive exact check in instructions. The office is only open for very limited hours so hard to check in as we had to find a maintenance person by chance walking around to locate our keys and get us into the room.

• Stephanie Ruihi (10/5): - Really enjoyed this property- we stayed with our two daughters aged 7 and 10. Property was perfect for our needs, handy fridge and kitchen facilities meant we didn't have to eat out every meal. Snorkeling off the property is incredible- did not expect to be able to walk 3 meters into the sea and see tropical fish!

Big thanks to Jasmine, our friendly & helpful receptionist & local groundsman for keeping the place pristine. Wigmore’s just across the road for supplies. Highly recommend a tropical getaway here. 🌺🌺 Just remember there are three options in the Moana Sands group on the island so make sure you know which one you are booking with. Happy holiday 🌺

• Trenton (8/5): Nice spot - Overall it was a wonderful stay. Location and beach front are superb and convenient access to supermarket across the road. Wifi is a little hit and miss, depending on where I. The resort you are. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Our room was extremely noisy (501) with the airport transfer pulling up in the driveway in the middle of night in front of the main bedroom window waking us up along with early morning staff and guest conversations. Other than this, we enjoyed our stay. Would recommend.

• Muhammad (8/5): Great location but unfortunately poorest facilitie - There was no WIFI at all, let alone free, which is a shame, it seems like management is not aware of customers need and it may be living in last century. They also are very greedy as asking money for everything which in similarly accommodations provided free of cost to the guests. Living space furniture and kitchen appliances/utilities needs big improvement. TV was no doubt from last century for sure.

Room very tidy, fridge a little noisy being in same room as bed. Pool area, Kayaks & gear supplied were all great. Would come back in a heartbeat, did not want to leave.

The cleaning staff could not help you enough with making sure your unit was clean and tidy and you had clean bath & Beach Towels every day. Only negative was only 2 tv channels. Great location by the beach, goid pool as well. Communication on location was the only paet we needed to sort out as there are three Monoa Sands on Rarotonga island. Service Brilliant as we left our phone and they fiund us.. Eatery out front best breakfast food and coffee in Roro. Thank you

It would have been great to have a broom so we could sweep the sand up that found it’s way inside and our unit was only cleaned once in 8nights so we ran short of towels and had sand all through on the tiles even though we tried to keep it out. A refillable water container in the room would have been handy so we didn’t have to buy plastic bottles to refill at the water station. Otherwise a super stay! Thanks heaps :)

• Vinay (10/5): Exceeded expectations - Great location (across from large grocery store & gas station that are open 24x7. Units are large with all items one would need for a comfortable family holiday. Nice pool and beach is steps away with free water toys (kayaks, snorkeling equipment, water shoes). Breakfast at Coco Latte (attached to hotel) was very good. Service was nice as was the hotel spa. Internet access across the island is a challenge but managed to get a decent signal in the hotel as there is a Hotspot close by. Rental car agency (go cook islands) across the street so you don't have to rely on the bus (stops right at the hotel)

My only quibbles are that the rooms are a bit dated and also no restaurant onsite although there is a little cafe which is open for breakfast and light lunch only.

It is right across from good small grocery store that sells great homemade foods each day. Locals all come to grab lunches. It is a quiet beach that you can walk to a couple restaurants nearby and bus stops right in front. Villas were nice and spacious for a family of 4.

• Verified traveler (8/5): - Best all-round beach. If you like snorkelling, there is lots of fish to sea only a few steps in. The staff always seemed friendly, and we were given fresh fruit, juice and bread on Day 1. The pool is a little on the small side, so we didn't make use of it. For us the highlights were the beach (warm, lots of fish species to explore), as well as it's proximity to the Wigmore's supermarket + petrol station. Because Rarotonga is a small island, i would suggest hiring a car/scooter to zip around since there is no restaurant/bar on site. Would stay again, and would highly recommend (good value for money in comparison to some of the other resorts/villas)
• Verified traveler (10/5): - I liked that it was semi self service and that it was onto a safe swimming part of the lagoon and the staff were personal and efficient but relaxed and took extra care in helping book other excursions and pick ups and the grounds and cleaning staff were busy but never intrusive and did little things like place fresh flowers inside, those soft touches. The access to the bus and the rental cars and kayaks etc was close too.

IN COMPLIMENTING THE MANAGEMENT IT WAS FITTED WITH ABSOLUTELY EVERYTHING ONE WOULD REQUIRE.........FRESH FRUIT ….FRESH FLOWERS EVERY DAY...UNLIMITED COFFEE.....PEPPER/SALT..... BEACH TOWELS . THE STAFF WERE EXCELLENT IN ALL POSSIBLE WAYS . . OUR UNIT WAS LESS THAN 15 METRES FROM THE BEACH WITH AN EXCELLENT POOL EVEN CLOSER . MY WIFE AND I COULD NOT FAULT THE VILLA IN ANY WAY THANK YOU MOANA SANDS
