Además, posee un personal dispuesto a responder preguntas y amable en general. Pese al positivo balance de las instalaciones, el hotel dispone de poco personal, lo que ralentiza el servicio. El equipamiento de cosas básicas como el papel higiénico es bajo. Además, ya que dispone de poco personal, hay que esperar para resolver este tipo de solicitudes. Un buen hotel, pero todavía en pañales

• Camila (4/5): Lo recomiendo si piensas usarlo sólo para dormir. - Ubicación fue lo mejor, cerca de muchos restaurantes y atracciones turísticas. La terraza para desayunar tenía una vista muy bonita como la de la foto. El personal también fue muy agradable y atentos. La habitación era extremadamente básica. Ni siquiera una botella de agua. solo dos vasos y un poco de shampo y jabón. Hicieron la limpieza de la habitación cuando salimos y al entrar notamos un olor muy fuerte a lysoform, realmente asqueroso, muy muy fuerte y malo. había bastante ruido, se escuchaban los ruidos de las otras habitaciones, en la noche unas personas, aparentemente borrachas, tipo 4 am no lograban abrir la puerta así que nos despertaron con el ruido del error del código de la puerta, estuvieron bastante rato con eso. Hacer siesta no era muy posible. La vista de la habitación a esos ladrillos también era bastante inhóspito, pienso que poner al menos una plantita para no sentirse encajonados. Cortinas black out sin visillos, ventana de la escalera daba al ventanal de la habitación, así que te ven todo o tú no ves nada. Por último, lo que me pareció peor es que ofrecen estacionamiento y posibilidad de tener mascota pero cuando reservas te llegan los precios aparte y el hecho de que el estacionamiento no está en el hotel; está en otro hotel a 2 cuadras sin conserjería permanente. Asi que cada vez que quieres usar el auto debes avisar en tu hotel para que llamen al otro lugar y manden a una persona a abrirte, fue tema porque queríamos salir bien temprano el domingo y no podíamos sacar el auto.

• Felipe (2/5): No recomendable - The location. Unfortunately, our stay was extremely disappointing and did not meet even basic standards considering the price paid. The property was poorly maintained, with old and damaged facilities throughout. Cleanliness, safety, and overall amenities were far below expectations. The bathroom conditions were unacceptable: the shower was broken, with water leaking from the side instead of working properly. No shampoo or soap was provided, and the dispensers were rusty and clearly not properly maintained. Basic necessities were also lacking. Upon arrival, there was only half a roll of toilet paper in the room, and we had to request an additional roll ourselves. Noise levels were unacceptable, as we could clearly hear children shouting in the next room, which disturbed our rest and forced us to make a complaint. In addition, the breakfast was very poor, offering limited choices and low-quality items. Given the amount paid for this stay, the experience was far below what was advertised and what should reasonably be expected. I strongly believe there are far better options available at the same price point. Overall, I would not recommend this property.

• Ana Maria (8/5): Un buen descanso en pleno Cerro Alegre. - La ubicación de hotel es muy buena , en pleno Cerro Alegre , sin embargo en un sector mas tranquilo , con poco ruido . Lo que nos permitió un descanso reparador y la cama me gusto . Si bien las habitaciones son pequeñas , son cómodas y decoradas con buen gusto .Mi habitación tenía una pequeña terraza que nos permitió tener un espacio privado además de la habitación. En la habitación hay poco espacio para dejar las maletas y la ropa . Y el desayuno podria mejorar si tuviera más opciones.

Un lugar limpio y acogedor, habitación linda y la terraza tenía una vista preciosa. El desayuno muy rico! Al ser casonas antiguas se escucha bastante los ruidos de pasillo y otras habitaciones por lo que te hace sentir un poquito incómodo. Agregaría más insumos de higiene como acondicionador ya que solo disponía de shampoo y jabón.

• Suzan (10/5): A real gem in the heart of beautiful Valparaiso - This hotel is a real gem. The location is perfect. The neighborhoods Cerro Allegre and Cerro Conception are right at your doorstep. All staff were super attentive,very friendly and had great tips for us. Someone was available 24/7. The place felt very safe (always locked). The breakfast on the rooftop terrace was made to order with a lot of love. The view from up there is stunning. The rooms are very clean. The only thing that people might wanna know is that the street is cobblestoned and cars drive down it quite fast which creates a certain level of noise. The windows are brand new and block out most of the noise though. Just a heads-up for very noise-sensitive people.
• Olga (9/5): Nice beautiful old renovated house with all the charm and comfort. - The hotel is a 1870 house fully renovated that keeps all the antique charm with a modern comfort. It is located right in the fun tourist area and surrounded by nice interesting streets , coffee shops and restaurants. Very nice friendly staff .Italo and Natalie are very charming. The extra bed in my room was not very comfortable. The bed was noisy and the mattress was too soft .
• Stephen (10/5): Fantastique bijou. Warning French credit cards - I can’t thank the staff (Italo and Nathalie) enough for making our stay wonderful. They helped us through the difficulties with the credit cards for the payment. ( see note below). The hotel is a jewel.. and well converted house, full of character. If you want spacious chain hotel … go to the Ibis, but if you want to experience a boutique hotel full of charm, with a wonderful roof top breakfast area with a view of the city, then this is for you. The location is ideal for exploring Valparaiso if you don’t mind the hills. We loved our stay in this city. Note of warning to French travellers: There is a general problem in Chile with Visa cards issued by French banks. When paying by credit card in hotels or for the guarantee deposit for a hire car… the cards do not work. The hire car company told us … it is always a problem with French cards. You have been warned.
• Bob (10/5): Great location, breakfast on the terraza with a great view! - Great location and very helpful recommending restaurants, etc. We loved breakfast on the terrace, and thoroughly enjoyed the meal and watching the fireworks from there on New Year's Eve. Also loved the historic character of the hotel. The room was small but comfortable and everything we needed. (I wrote a previous review based on a different place. So sorry!) As there was no air-conditioning, we needed to open the window, which was fine because the weather was cool, especially at night. However, there was a street light right outside the window, so we had to close the curtain over the window, blocking circulation. Minor inconvenience.

Very minimalist room. - The staff at this hotel (like all staff we met in Chile) was stellar - helpful and friendly, super eager to solve any issue that came up or help us figure out how to get where we needed to go. The location is great and the hotel itself is cute. Our biggest complaint was the lack of ANY mechanism in the room to hang clothes. There were no hooks, no closet, nothing - we ended up fashioning a makeshift system to hang things so our stuff wasn't in a pile on the floor (there weren't even suitcase stands!) There was one small dresser, but when you are traveling you generally want to air things out and de-wrinkle, so it wasn't helpful. Otherwise, it was a great stay. We loved the outdoor seats upstairs where we had our morning coffee - great views of the city!
