Guest Reviews
- Kendra (8/5): - Mrs Irina was very sweet and helpful. The location was ideal, walking distance to everything! Room was simple but clean and comfortable. I would definitely stay again!
- Mark (8/5): - Centrally located, very close to Fabrika square. Basic accommodation but clean and no issues.
- John (10/5): In the heart of mykonos - Nice little hotel in the heart of Mykonos town
- valeria (10/5): - Tutto ok posizione eccellente
- Francis (8/5): - Brilliant service. Excellent location. Very clean. Very good pension.
- T (10/5): Nice stay - pleasant experience and great team and attentive staff always giving nothing but the best..
- KONSTANTINOS (10/5): - Dimitra Pension is centrally located 1 min walk from Fabrika bus station where you can pick the bus for the most lovely beaches in the south of the island. Our room although basic was very clean, had a small balcony and had all the amenities for a comfortable stay. Mrs Irene the host is a very kind and sweet lady. As it is in the city you can walk everywhere within 10 min. I will stay again if I want to visit Mykonos
- Beau (2/5): - The location is perfect and located right in the heart of Mykonos town. Being that you are situated in Mykonos town, the hotel is right next to some great food options, supermarkets and fabrika bus stop. However, the noise around the room was unbearable at all times of the morning. It is understood that it is Mykonos and that alone comes with the noise, however the clubs and town is an exception but not the piercing screams of people in the hotel complex and next to the hotel; inevitably not allowing us to sleep. For example, groups of girls screaming and filming tik toks on our window sill at 6am. The room was also quite small, with a shower directly spraying water onto the toilet.
- HOSSEIN (2/5): - there are bed b ugs in the property, it is terrible and now we have to go through the procedure to remove it from our stuff before entering our house and wishing that we did not bring them with us. Unfortunately we noticed the bed bugs at 1:30 am and we couldn't, inform anyone about it neither find a new place to replace.
- Theresa (10/5): - Loved my stay here!
- Johanna (10/5): Loved it here, best location! - Mrs Irina was the kindest and most attentive host ever! You absolutely cannot beat the location of Dimitra Pension, it is PERFECT. Tucked into a quiet area, but close to everything!! She even recommended a beach I had not heard of before and we went and it was GORGEOUS!!
- Alyssia (10/5): - A great place to stay, the accommodation is well-located, very clean and located in a street as quiet as can get in busy Mykonos. (Earplugs still useful for light sleepers). Great communication with the owner, who was facilitating with check-in and check-out times. Shower is quite small, but in a good state. Recommended.
- Aura (8/5): - Safety and clean
- Verified traveler (6/5): - I stayed at this place for two nights. The location is excellent — just a few meters from the main bus station in Mykonos Town, with easy connections to the airport, port, and main beaches. The room was a decent size, but the bathroom was very small. The shower floods the entire bathroom, and one day there was no hot water. The Wi-Fi also dropped out occasionally, making it unreliable. We were welcomed by Dimitra, who was kind and helpful. It’s a good option for short stays, but I wouldn’t recommend it for longer visits, as it's not comfortable enough.
- Marilee (10/5): - Loved! Perfect for my solo trip:)
Check-in/check-out was a little confusing but once figured out everything was perfect!
The owner is the sweetest lady ever— I would definitely stay here again- rooms were clean, service was amazing, and it was in an amazing location!
- Daniel (10/5): Excelente - A localização é otima. O atendimento da Sra Dimitra muito bom. O quarto e confortável.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Familey atmosphire - Nice home in the villeage.Central but quite
- Riley (10/5): - Great and affordable
- Roberto (10/5): - Private and close to down town.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Amazing location and host - Amazing location and very clean. Not sure about what the other reviews are about as Irini and the housekeeper were fantastic. We normally stay in more expensive places but given that it was a girls trip it was fine for what we needed. The only thing would be the noise as it’s near bars but we slept fine most nights and we would come back again for sure.
- Liege (6/5): Clean but not very comfortable - The staff is friendly, the room is clean. The room is very basic and the biggest issue for me was the bed, which was very small for a single bed and rather uncomfortable.
- Mya (8/5): - Amazing location and very cute rooms. Had trouble contacting the owner to come get us the number I was given did not pick up. Was a little noisy near by at night which we could hear from our room. Overall a good stay for what we payed.
- Malcolm (10/5): Great location at a budget price. - This is a quaint pension in the top section of the old port. 2 mins from the bus terminal, 1 min from grocery store and several restaurants very close by.
- Kurt (6/5): - Great location!
The room in the pictures may not reflect what you actually get.
- jose (10/5): - It is in the middle of everything(restaurants, shopping, clubs, bus station, etc.
- Malene Holst (8/5): Centralt med mulighed for nem transport - Skøn service. Nemt at finde. Centralt. Dejligt område. Tæt på bus. Mulighed for mange spisesteder.
- Chelsea (8/5): - Great location, very lovely and helpful staff. Can easily message the manager for anything you need.
- venatius (10/5): - This property is very simple, but delivers on all the important notes, clean and well maintained, has all the things you need, friendly staff and management with quick response time, and the location on a quieter street in the middle of everything.
- Maria Antonietta (6/5): - Posizione ottimale, nela zona pedonale, a due passi dallo stazionamento degli autobus in piazza Fabrika.
- Ioannis (10/5): - Everything was good! Next to the city center! The staff very friendly! And very clean!
- Katalin (8/5): - The apartment by itself is nice, cozy, but quite small. We stayed in room nuber 11, snd what I didn't like was that every evening until late night someone was sitting outside and tslking really loud, so it was not possible to sleep with the window open. Also, there was 1 wardrobe wigh around 10 hangers, and it had only 1 shelf. Not really enough space to keep your clothing, lingerie, etc.
Bathroom as usual in Greece - open space, so after shower everything around is wet, all floor flooded.
But lady who was cleaning, provided excellent service, every day room was cleaned, and towels changed every day too.
Was quite difficult to find the apartment.
- Susana (6/5): - The location was very convinient, close to shops and restaurants. The room was clean, small and simple and the bathroom and shower were extremely small.
It was dificult to find the place we were turning around on the small strees of the village dragging our luggages because we didn't find any sign of Dimitra pension and couldn't call the owner bcs. we didn't have a sim card from the country.
- Daniel (10/5): - Great location, easy check in. Place has been refurbished 👍
- Jaan (8/5): - Nice and simple, perfectly located.
- Nicola (10/5): - Staff was great. Place was clean and exactly what we needed. Amazing location.
- Nadya (10/5): Convenient location - It was very nice to stay at this part of the island, as there was local shop with good prices, coffee shop at short distance, bus stop and fairly quite small beach in 5-10min walk. Very clean place with daily care. Irini was very helpful as well. The only thing I probably missed was a kettle, but there were all other options for hot drink from local suppliers.
- Feven (10/5): - absolutely amazing stay! location is close to everything. Host (Mrs. Irini) was extreamly helpful. A detailed message on directions was sent upon our arrival, with a phone number. She met up with us and was soooo kind. would recommend 100%
- Luis Angel (10/5): - Todo ok
- Emanuela (8/5): A pleasant stay at a fair price - We spent 3 nights in Dimitra pension in June. The location is in the city centre, in less than 2 minutes walk you get to the old port and to fabrica which is where all buses depart to all the main attractions in Mykonos. The cleaning lady always kind and same was the owner who warmly welcomed us on our first day.
- Lily H. (6/5): Hard to find but nice place - First, the host never responded to my messages about the website booking me an extra room (and charging me for it). It was also extremely hard to find, we asked several restaurants but finally found the host. (Use the stairs to get to the house above the grocery market). The room itself was very clean and the AC and wifi worked great. There are only two outlets however and the beds are pretty stiff. The host was very nice in person and showed us tons of places to go on the map and even straightened up our room while we were gone during the day!
- Adam (8/5): Easy and comfortable - Cute little spot in the middle of it all. Clean, simple rooms. Perfect for a quick couple of days to explore the town. The owner was very helpful and accessible.
- Nathan (10/5): - Good location
- Verified traveler (2/5): - We were unable to stay after 3 nights without sleep: very noisy and irritable neighbors banging, shouting, slamming doors. We moved to another hotel. The room itself, though small, was fine. If you're out partying, you probably won't mind - but avoid if you want a proper night's sleep and a peaceful stay.
- Thomas (10/5): Nice location - Near of the bus station at very nice location a nice apartment small room but clean with basic facilities... Its nice if someone is looking for something cheap near of the center
- Denis (10/5): - Clean, modern and comfortable, lovely place to stay. Great location, everything is within maximum 10 minutes walking distance. Irini is kind and very welcoming.
- Llinos (10/5): Excellent value - Late flight, early morning ferry so we just stayed one night,. The pension is excellent value for money. It is well placed(a little tricky to find), spotlessly clean and comfortable. It fitted the bill perfectly
- FranciscoM (10/5): - Mrs. Irini was amazing property super close to all the tourist sites but yet hidden away. You won’t be disappointed
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Checking in quick and easy great location friendly stuffs had a wonderful time thank you
- Kyoka (8/5): Excellent! - The owner was very nice and helpful, she took time out of her day to help us out! Very clean rooms and the cleaning lady was very kind, she gave us fresh sheets and towels everyday and tidied up the room. We were in a great location, 1 minute from the bus station, 2 minutes from the windmills, and basically downtown Mykonos. 5 minute walk to the old port gave us the option of taking the seabus (2 euros) to the new port for our ferry, Overall great experience, little worried about the comforters having bed bugs (saw some things crawling around) so I suggest you keep them in the cupboards instead of taking them out as we did!
- JuMolina (8/5): - We liked everything about the property. Irene was very kind to us. She gave very good tips. We stayed at an apartment with a street view which was very nice. The room was awesome and the shower the best, so far.
The only advice I would give to the property owner is to add a sign of the “hotel” somewhere because we spent 30 mins trying to find the property. A sign at he front door would be amazing helpful to the owner and to the people who stays there.
Property is perfect located with a free parking nearby and lots of good restaurants, small shops and point of interests.
- Stella (10/5): Lovely rooms in central town - Close to the center and parking areas, supermarket and other shops. Very clean, with everyday cleaning air conditioning.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Very good location, very clean , good facilities, really recommend, and definitely I will used them again
- Vincent (8/5): A Little Jem within Mykonos. - The room is simple and clean. It is very near to the public bus stop and right in Mykonos town. Although it is within the shops, it is adjacent situated in a quiet and peaceful corner.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Good stay in Mykonos old town - As it is a pension, everything is very basic. In old town where only pedestrian traffic is allowed. Easy access from Fabrika bus station. The Pension has no signage. To check in you must phone the host or locate her at the AB supermarket in Lakka Square.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Location very close to bus terminal. Supermarket around the corner. WiFi speed excellent. Room cleaning daily which kept our room spotless. Host was very friendly. Our room had a balcony where we could hang our clothes.
- Daisy (8/5): - The location is wonderful! It is just steps from restaurants and shops. We had a great time at this hotel.
- Lisa (8/5): Great location! - Great hotel, very clean. The host is so lovely and helpful! Great location!
- Verified traveler (10/5): Perfect for budget travelers! - This is a very nice budget hotel that gets the job done! Safe and lively location with tons of restaurants and stores at your convenience, this small hotel is perfect for friends and family to explore Mykonos. It’s not the most romantic, so I wouldn’t suggest for young spicy couples, lol, but it still can be useful if you guys are on a budget. I can’t explain just how great the location is: right in the middle of Mykonos Town! Keep in mind that it seems a lil tricky to find initially, but keep calm and you’ll figure it out. Lol. Everything was clean and nice. The shower tends to flood tho so keep that in mind as well. The property had everything you’d need; blow dryer, iron, etc. Doesn’t have a full length mirror, which could be important to fashionistas but all in all it was great for our girls trip and I’d return! Thank you!
- Rich (2/5): - In town and close to transportation also close to many restaurants
- Matthew (10/5): Central location, highly recommend - It’s a little confusing trying to find the location when you arrive, look for the AB supermarket and ask them. It’s right next door but unmarked. The location was perfect, right in the town centre but tucked away in a quiet street which made you feel like one of the locals in your own apartment. The room was clean and in great condition and the staff I came in contact with were very friendly. There is not reception area as such (like an Airbnb). I would definitely recommend.
- KraftDinner (10/5): - Great hotel and location. But hard to find because there was no sign. Our GPS didn't lead us to the right place and we had to ask a local to find our way. Otherwise, great experience.
- Jose (8/5): Budget accommodation in Mykonos - Right in the center of town, small but really clean rooms. Amazing hotel staff, you get what you pay for. Definitely recommended for people visiting Mykonos on a budget.
- Luke (8/5): great location and super clean - I was allocated the only room without a balcony so felt a tad claustrophobic
Very clean and tidy
- Mary (8/5): Good to just rest your head at night. No frills. - This is more like a room in a building rather than a traditional hotel. It's in an amazing central location and right next to a 24/7 cab stand that is 7 minutes from the airport (15 euros for the ride). A short walk to several amazing restaurants and some night life. It is also near a central bus area that will get you to all the beaches. Good place to just rest your head but wouldn't recommend it to a home-body.
- Verified traveler (6/5): What about putting a sign on it! - You could be standing by the door of the apartment and still not be able to find it. Mykonos is a labyrinth so putting a sign on the door is essential. We walked past it twice before we finally found the owner in another building who took us to it. The room was nicely appointed but I would only recommend it for one night.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Most amazing host in the most central location - Had such a wonderful and authentic experience staying at Dimitra Pension. Irini (the owner) was the MOST SWEETEST, warmest, and accommodating woman ever! She gives off the true Greek vibe, and even invited us to her place like it was no big deal. The location is central to the town, and the water is within minutes of walking distance. The bus station (if you want to go places outside the town) is literally a 3 min walk from her place. Can't wait to come back and stay at her place again!
- Kendrick (8/5): Nice hotel on quiet street, in the heart of Mykono - When we arrived by taxi, we have no idea how to find the exact location of the hotel. However, by asking the driver and people around the area. They know exactly where the hotel and the host/owner is when we are trying to find. We happened to ask the shop owner of AB mart which is the brother of the hotel owner. So he calls his sister to check us in. Our room is on the second floor, the room is small but very clean, the bathroom is newly renovated. There are lots of shops, restaurants, bars near or next to the hotel. The hotel is located on a quiet street, but it is very safe to walk around at night in the neighbourhood.
- Yenny (8/5): Nice hostel instead of hotel as no reception - The owner was very friendly and recognise us immediately when we were on our way to look for the place. The location is hidden but with previous comments from the review, it was easy to follow. Just look for Marco Polo restaurant sign and follow the route.
This place very convenient as it was near to bus terminal and 5 mins to Wind Mills and little venice.
- Owen (6/5): Great location, clean but basic - + Really friendly, helpful & welcoming owners/staff.
+ Perfect location right in the centre of Mykonos.
+ Basic but very clean room.
+ Good wifi signal.
- Room was really small and as said above, basic, for price paid.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Pros and Cons - Pros: Was good for the price, great location. Hotel manager was really nice.
Cons: Double booking, They had to host me at a different hotel for my first night. Was very inconvenient because I had to check-in and out of one place then check-in in the middle of the day at the other hotel. That really sucks that I have to waste my holiday time to do that.
Hot water didn't work half the time.
- L (10/5): Quiet hotel in Mykonos Town - Pros:
1. Great base for exploring Mykonos, 2 minute walk to the main bus station for all the buses out to all the beaches, and about a 10 minute walk to the Old Port for the sea bus to the New Port.
2. Located on a quiet street away from the hustle and bustle of the town.
3. Room facilities are basic, but recently renovated. New bathroom and room looks freshly painted. The reverse cycle air conditioning unit was adequate for the room during the hot summer.
4. Good WIFI in our room.
5. Pretty hard to beat the value of this room taking into account the standard of the room and location.
Cons:
1. Rooms are a little small, hard to fit two large luggage bags, but room sizes were clear at time of booking.
2. Small bathroom (shower right next to the toilet, no shower screens), I believe these are typical on the Greek Islands. Was fine for us once we figured out how to use the area and resigned to the fact there will be some splashing which you mop up with the bath mat. Check the photos but this shouldn't be discourage you from booking here as again, this bathroom is seems typical.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Little gem - Irene (Pension owner) goes "above and beyond" to make all her guests feel welcomed and to ensure you have a great stay in Mykonos! I stayed here for an entire week and would definitely stay again should I return to the island.
- Anthony (8/5): Dimitra pension, the perfect place in Mykonos town - Dimitra pension is the perfect place to stay for anyone who wants affordable living right in the heart of Mykonos town. Everything is literally on your doorstep! (Maybe bring a pair of earplugs as other tenants can be noisy at night) but that is no reflection on the hotel. The cleaning lady had fresh sheets and towels every single day which was exceptional, the likes I have never seen before!!
- Verified traveler (4/5): Less then expected but close to old Mykonos - It was hard to find as there is no signs anywhere for the hotel. We had to ask twice before finding it. The room was not what was pictured but it was clean and had a/c. The shower in the bathroom is the smallest I've ever seen! It's basically a wet room so water gets everywhere.
- stephen (6/5): Closed to everything in town - Located right in town, closed to bus station, room was newly renovated and clean, the only issue in this place was shower that has no curtain or door, so there would be water everywhere in the bathroom after showers. Also they don't have reception, needed to call owner to bring you there and no sign at the pension.
- Mark (8/5): Comfortable, clean, affordable accommodation - Located next to Marco Polo restaurant 1minutes walk from Fabrika Bus Station.
The Dimitra Pensions are on fantastic central location. The beds are either 1 double bed or two single beds in newly refurbished rooms. Amenities are basic. Room had small balcony but views are of the opposite buildings. Rooms have small fridge and TV , AC, wardrobe, small bedside table and a chair. Bathroom clean , modern and great rainforest shower. Wifi was good. And although rooms are in central area, night times are quiet.
Was very dubious after reading previous reviews but, these rooms are ideal and I was very pleasantly surprised at the standard, cleanliness , location and service. Would definitely book these rooms again and would recommend.
- PeterS (8/5): Perfect rooms for the independent traveller - Ignore all adverse reviews prior to 2015. The rooms have been completely and stylishly refitted and are excellent value for Mykonos which is a very expensive island. No, this is not a full hotel with a reception desk and standard services (the title 'Pension' is probably misleading); it is a two storey group of serviced rooms in a tiny pedestrian street. They are owned and run by Dimitra herself who is delightful and could not be more helpful. It is also wonderfully quiet – very rare on Mykonos. Finding it is not as difficult as others say: it is just a typically Greek travel experience. Ask for directions to the (well known) Marco Polo restaurant in Lakka. Standing in the square looking at the restaurant there is a mini-supermarket on your left. Go up the stairs beside it and ask for Dimitra. She will take you to the rooms which are behind the restaurant.
- Jeff (10/5): Excellent Stay - I had an excellent stay here. The location was great, right in the middle of Mykonos town. Nota and her family were very accommodating and we're always there to help when I needed anything. The place was clean and well maintained. The only negative thing that I could say was that it was very hard to find and there is no signage on the building. Excellent experience, I would definitely stay there again.
- nadia (8/5): Nice hotel perfect location - I stayed 5nights at this pension, together with my friend .
I have nothing to complain, the girl was cleaning our room every morning and changing the towels.
The room was very new and modern ,with a little balcony overlooking the restaurant below.
The location is right in the town of Mykonos and I would definitely be back.
- Peter (8/5): off neighborhood, good clean room - hard to find, only the cleaning lady was there, neighborhood was almost bad, building and room were very clean, service was friendly, price was good, I was happy.
