We didn’t like: The first night we arrived there was water in the bathroom floor right after we took a shower, we reported to the front lobby and they sent an employee to dry the floor and moved us to another room the next day. We did not like the breakfast. The rooms were too small.

• caioiadocico (10/5): Amazing stay close to the beach - We originally booked a stay at the Oz Luxury Hotel but were pleasantly surprised with an upgrade to the brand-new tower of the Oz Hotel, part of the same hotel group, located just 150 meters away. The facilities are impeccable. The room was spacious, stylish, and sophisticated, with great lighting, a comfortable king-size bed, and top-quality pillows. The bathroom and shower were also excellent and very roomy. The staff was extremely attentive from the moment we arrived — starting with a welcome drink at check-in — and remained thoughtful throughout our stay, offering towels, coffee, and water 24/7. Housekeeping was efficient and consistent, which is especially important in a hotel so close to the beach. The location is outstanding. Bocagrande is a fantastic area to enjoy Cartagena’s beaches and dining options, and it's also just a short ride from the historic center, Getsemaní, and the departure points for boat tours. Breakfast offers a wide variety of high-quality options, especially fresh fruits and breads. The hotel also features a beautiful rooftop terrace with an incredible view. It would be even better if there were a bar to make the most of that wonderful space.

• Maria Magana (10/5): - Perfect hotel to stay in downtown Boca grande. The only thing I would probably change is the noise the cleaning staff makes on floor 6 the last room. I believe it’s close to the cleaning supplies storage so they tend to go in and out and make noise and you can hear it in the room. The staff in the concierge is soo nice and friendly. Always helping you and greeting you at the door.

Everyone of them, from the counter ladies smiling and saying hola, to the gentlemen helping with the suitcases and serving coffee at breakfast, to the housekeeping crew keeping everything tidy. Only thing I didn't like was that OZ hotel does not have a pool.

The staff was outstanding from the front desk, bellmen/doormen, and the waitstaff for breakfast all wonderful dedicated and hardworking - they made the stay more enjoyable with their expert recommendations and assistance. The daily breakfast was delicious perfect to start the day. We also enjoyed the 6th floor balcony when smokers were not there - the views of the beaches all around. Beautiful. I wished I had known that there were 2 Oz Hotels. Luckily, they are right around the corner from each other. Lots of noise with honking horns and uninsulated windows, so ear plugs are required to sleep. Overall, I liked the simplicity of this hotel and so convenient walkable to the beach, numerous restaurants and shopping. Short ride via taxi to old town and the airport.

• chicago_hp (8/5): Good place to stay in Bocagrande - I enjoyed staying at this hotel. Just a few blocks from the beach, nice rooftop area just to hang out. No real bar on the rooftop which kinda sucks, but you can always access Oz Luxury a block away for their rooftop bar. Pretty quiet at night, not much happening in this area of Bocagrande at night Room: Quite comfortable. Bed was firm enough. The only thing was the AC isn't strong at all and with it being 85 and 40000% humidity, a powerful AC would've gone a long way. I just couldn't get the room cold. The water stopped in the bathroom for some reason but the front desk quickly resolved it without having maintenance enter my room. Huge plus. Breakfast: Breakfast buffet was ok, left a bit to be desired, but had plenty of options. Staff: Front desk and rest of the staff were solid. I arrived super late and was able to check-in quickly. I think her name is Camilla at the front desk - she was great. Everyone was super friendly. I would consider staying here again.

We were questioned about our skin color and occupations in an attempt to get additional money from us. We were harassed by police outside of the hotel because staff inside judged us due to our skin color. Our stay was uncomfortable from beginning to end. The only friendly staff member that was nice and accommodating to us was the bar tender, Alexander. To Alexander, thank you for all your help, patience, and good drinks!

Big credit to houskeeping for making it sparkling clean! We had little issue with an extra bed but that was addressed to the team members and resolved by manager on our favour- thank you so much! Every staff member is very attentive and polite, good value for money- highly recommended.
• Tamara (2/5): - The hotel room was filled with mosquitoes, the room was extremely hot ac didn’t work. The bed felt like a brick and the shower pressure was horribly painful, felt like I was getting rocked thrown at me on top of that the hot water didn’t work at all. I checked in around 5:30pm and left and an hour later due to the bad conditions. Had to find another hotel I got bitten a few times in the room.

• David (8/5): - I really enjoyed my stay at OZ Hotel. The best thing about the property is the staff. The rooms are a bit small but are good for two people. The room has no thrills but has everything you need, such as lamps, a wardrobe, a smart TV, and AC. The bed was average, about the housekeeping was very responsive on cleaning the room. Another thing I appreciated about OZ Hotel was their focus on water and energy conservation, which is a nice touch. My only criticism is that the rooms were not sound and if your a sensitive sleeper, I recommend bringing earplugs. Free breakfast is included in the morning, which was sufficient and better than most continental breakfasts ive experienced in the States. The Hotel also has a restaurant and bar, but I did not indulge in those services. Overall, I highly recommend this property if you plan to stay in Cartagena for a two-person trip. However, if you are a family or large group only wanting one room, definitely book a larger room or possibly look for another location.

The hotel is located at the new part of the city, boca grande. You can find good restaurants walking distance. The service was excellent.

• Nanda (10/5): - Simply amazing! The most favorite part of my stay was the staff. They’re were absolutely warm, friendly and welcoming. We were received with a delicious fresh juice and lunch. The beds were so clean and soft. On the last day I ate in the islands and my stomach was gassy. The hotel staff was very attentive- they told me they have a doctor in the installations that can see me. They offer it - that’s the best part. This is my first time I meet such a friendly and collaborative staff. I would come back to Cartagena. Thanks for making my stay incredible.

Food was also very good and they have a very complete breakfast. The location is not the greatest but they offer taxis to the airport and there are a lot of taxis or Ubers around. • raysK542YW (8/5): Overnight stop - We stayed in the Oz Hotel based on the location but mostly the price for the area. We had a one night stay as we were leaving the next afternoon and the hotel was fine for the night. Our room wasn't in the main hotel but through into another building at the side and the room itself was ok but didn't have any windows to see out of. The breakfast was ok and the location of the hotel is a short walk from shops, restaurants and the beach.
