- Max (10/5): - I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The staff was welcoming, professional, and always ready to help, making me feel comfortable from the moment I arrived. The room was clean, well-maintained, and very relaxing, which made my stay even more enjoyable. I would like to give special thanks to Vladymir Durezin for his outstanding service. His attention to detail, kindness, and professionalism truly stood out and made my experience exceptional. Overall, I highly recommend this hotel for anyone looking for excellent service and a comfortable stay.

So if you get hungry or thirsty you would have to wait until the morning to get served. That’s the only thing I didn’t like but everything thing else was amazingly nice. I would say it’s the best hotel in the country. I would recommend the hotel to anyone. I absolutely come here again!!!

- Matthew (2/5): A well polished turd. - Staying at this hotel was one of the worst experiences I've had in Haiti. Their is absolutely no management. My family and I waited 2 hours to be checked in. The shower in our room didnt have hot water. Their was a Haitian concert at the hotel that lasted until 1am and then after party spilled into the hallways and lobby until 4am and management did nothing to quiet people down. In fact the front desk employees started playing rap music on the lobby speakers at 3am full blast. Our room didnt have enough towels and despite calling the front desk several times we never got another. This is supposed to be a classy place and it felt more like a hotel 6 in downtown Trenton, NJ.

I had a paid reservation and I was turned down at the reception of the hotel on the day of my stay and also later received an email from Expedia informing me at 3:02 PM the very same moment/day that the Karibe Hotel could not honor my paid reservation. This was not acceptable. All plans ruined.

- joel bekenson (4/5): - Its well located and safe once inside. Non working phone, No wifi, even normal cell signal is a luxury. Cheking in is a real nightmare limited transportation options.
- Smith (8/5): - For a country where the environment has degraded so much in terms of the overall security situation, there is a good effort to keep the property clean and agreeable. And I definitely think that I had a better quality room this time. There are a couple of things that were missing, though, a proper shower head for a lady to take a shower without wetting her hair, and a full body mirror.

Another thing they billed me by mistake the breackfast. It's so far my favorite hotel with many lovely spots I always go there on my birthday weekend and It's the first time I experienced such poor service quality.

Food and drinks are expensive - and not the best quality for the price. Food could definitely do with improving! Spa is a nice treat but again quite expensive.
- Wanderer19999268812 (6/5): Very poor room service - I am renting a room since March. You will spend a lot of your time complaining about room service in the front desk. I spend everyday of my first week complaining about lack of internet, and finally had my office installing a cable ; then spend another 3 weeks complaining about the lack of TV which was finally resolved when I requested a special discount price for lack of services; and now I have spend 6 weeks battling with the front desk for towels. With luck, room service leaves you fresh towels twice or trice a week , so expect to struggle to take a shower every other day. A real pain, and huge amount of time one needs to invest to get this minimum service.

The only crazy thing is they overcharged me a lot every single day at their restaurant . I would strongly recommend all guests to carefully check your bills before you pay at those restaurants.

- expatayiti (10/5): Quick Visit, Stayed Longer - I traveled to Haiti (against all guidance and advice) just before Christmas 2021. I was meant to just stay a few days at Karibe to see some friends, but decided I'd rather be here than anywhere - even in spite of the dire and cataclysmic warnings against traveling to Haiti... I was met at the airport by the hotel shuttle, complete with armed security (and a cooler of ice cold Prestige). Travel to the hotel was uneventful, despite the war zone people say Haiti is right now... I was upgraded to a Jr. Suite thanks to the amazing employee that is Steevenson. I was spoiled by the bar and restaurant staff, Yves, Michelson, Manager Patrice, Darlen, housekeeping, security, and everyone in between. A million thanks for an amazing stay. Lakay se lakay and you make me fee like I am at home every time.

I paid good money and I had to switch rooms 3times ..apparently she's a manger .. whenever I needed to talk to someone at the desk .. just thinking that I have to deal with that woman gave me anxiety.. if it wasn't for another team member at the front desk name Judel who went above and beyond to make sure I was ok and the rest of my stay was comfortable ... thanks to him I might come back .. they should retrain those women at the desk .. it's just not a good look

- Verified traveler (4/5): Terrible customer service at check-in - Our room was not clean when we entered (beds were not made) so they gave us a second room. The second room was on the ground floor facing the street and the balcony door did not lock and there were no towels. They told us they would not fix the lock until the next day, which was not acceptable considering the safety implications. They finally gave us a third room but only after much hassle.

This is to put in context that I am not talking about a regular hotel...and it's the Karibe Hotel (supposedly a 4 hibiscus hotel, for whatever it is worth). 1- When I noticed there was no coffee maker, I called the reception to ask for one. I was told that a coffee maker is only available for luxury room. I admit I was shocked as to me a coffee maker is basic. I asked if I could have one brought to my room, and my request was denied because "this is a luxury item" not included in my room. 2- The TV would not turn on. I called reception and was advised a technician would come fix it. I am still waiting for the technician... maybe he came after I checked out. 3- At 9am, someone was knocking at my door insistently. I woke up and opened thinking someone mistakenly came to my room. It was a hotel staff reminding me that check-out was at noon. I kindly said one nicer way to do that is to slip a message under the door the night before or simply wait for noon if the person is not out yet to remind them, but waking up a guest for that was terrible. She told me it was the hotel rule, she has the list of all check-outs for her to go knock at their door (wake them up) to remind them to leave. 4- At 11am, someone is knocking at my door again insistently. And this time is was a cleaning lady that came to clean the room and asking me if I was leaving soon! The service is extremely terrible at this hotel. Plus it is very noisy, The quality of the room is unexplainable, so many details that have me questioned the cleanliness of the place. I will stop there as many other people already reviewed the service and the bar.

- 255ede (2/5): Staff needs a lot of training. - My name is Edgard , I want to begin by saying that this is a very nice Hotel and very comfortable; however, Almost two weeks ago was my 3rd time staying at this hotel. This time the experience was TERRIBLE. Very rude staff except the front desk. 1 night i sat at the bar in the lobby 1 of the bartender “lady” ask me to get up because she wanted my seat so she could count money. “Terrible “ The security personnel most are very rude and threatening, they interfere in what the hotel staff job. Restaurant service also terrible, especially breakfast. During breakfast there’s no menu someone would just come to you and tell you what they have then disappeared,.and I waited for some water melon juice for 35 minutes I ended up leaving. Dinner also terrible, food was cold, servers are way too friendly, before you get your food they already asking for your number. I gave 1 start because of the restaurant, bar, and security personnel. They all need training. Front desk, Mrs kelida and Sofia were the only nice ppl there and i had to get their mame. Thank you karibe, hope I could recommend a friend.
