- Eric (10/5): A Slice of Paradise - I cannot recommend this lodge highly enough. Each room is its own beachfront bungalow, well equipped and comfortable -- nothing posh. Service is kind and accommodating. Cuisine is fresh and delicious. While many guests come for sport fishing and other activities, all I did was chill out. It was paradise. Language note: While I mostly managed with my schoolboy French and a few pleasantries in Portuguese, some staff speak English, including the cheerfully energetic proprietor, Solange. Overall, French is the primary language at this property.
