Guest Reviews
- Melissa (9/5): Loved our 3 nights in our sweet, quiet, and cozy Pioneer Cabin! - We loved our 3 nights in our sweet, quiet, and cozy Pioneer Cabin! Our cabin had 3 beds, which was perfect for the 3 of us! There were 2 fireplaces - one gas, one wood-burning, that kept the cabin very cozy and inviting! We reserved the hot tub area for an hour one evening and had a wonderful soak under a clear, star-studded sky! It was a 15 minute drive into downtown Crested Butte, but we loved being more out in the wilderness, than right in town - it was so peaceful and quiet! I actually unwound and read a book every evening! Also, the kitchen was fully equipped, although we only ate cereal and didn't cook. And the bathroom had a little heated mounted in there that you could turn on for added warmth while in the bathroom. The shower in the bathroom was small, but the water was hot and the pressure good! Also, the main bedroom downstairs got chilly overnight. I learned to leave the door open to get the heat from the gas fireplace, but I still slept with socks and a hat on. The girls were warm and cozy in their beds in the loft!

- Michael (10/5): - Been there before great as ever
- Bruce (9/5): We had a very peaceful stay. - Clean, well maintained and comfortable. Quiet and rustic location A little crampt in bathroom. Bbq did not work
- Kristen (9/5): Superb -
- Lisa (10/5): - Our cabin was just delightful! We took advantage of the snowshoes and went for a 3 mile hike in the snow. Couldn’t ask for more!
- Matthew (10/5): it’s hard to find the words, but staying here was a dream come true. - Incredibly relaxing and peaceful. Nothing.
- Brad (10/5): Exceptional -
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Very cute, rustic & cozy cabins.
Shower was a bit tight, and it would have been nice to have a small microwave, but the cabins were a wonderful, quiet escape. We particularly enjoyed the wood stove\fireplace - perfect on a cold winter night. The beds were comfortable & warm. The dogs that hangout at the office were really cute.
- Jennifer (10/5): Incredibly Cozy Cabin - We stayed for a pre-holiday getaway. Helpful service from the hosts who kept the grounds cleared of snow. Amazing hikes through the snow covered trees and small sledding hill right next to our cabin. Well stocked kitchen for making our meals. The hot tub was a highlight! Very COVID conscience and dog friendly. Planning our next trip back.
- DAVID (10/5): Perfect cabin experience! - This was an amazing stay! We just loved the Wild Rose Cabin at Pioneer Cabins. Matt and Leah were wonderful hosts. The cabins were clean, warm (with awesome fireplaces), well equipped and furnished. The water was fresh and hot when we wanted it. We would recommend this place for anyone wanting a special experience. Wifi was great for our connected needs but no TV was terrific! We play games and talked a lot which was great. Thanks again!! We hope to be back next year with our entire family for Christmas week!
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Wow! That’s what I have to say about this property. The cabin is fabulous. Cozy, warm, charming, well appointed kitchen, yummy bed, intimate cabin. The location is out of this world. The sound of the creek, the beauty of the woods, the mountains in every direction, the sounds of birds... Hiking trails... We will definitely be back!
- Kristin (10/5): Fabulous Property - This is such a unique and special property. Great for families and pet friendly. We will be back this fall.
- Andy (8/5): - Cabins are set in quiet and beautiful setting.
- Jessica (10/5): - Wonderful cozy cabins! It was perfect for a mother/daughter weekend trip. Great staff and the setting is gorgeous. Highly recommend!
- David (10/5): Great experience - Overall had a great experience during our recent stay. The owners were very helpful in our emails leading up to the trip and the cabin was perfect for 4 adults (a little cozy). The kitchen, while small and basic, had everything we needed to prepare several meals. Look forward to visiting again.
- Steven (8/5): Great Getaway - Great Cabin getaway. Dont expect to have all the modern ammenities of a hotel. Cabin was well equipped and there is hiking and xc skking right out your door. Great for experiencing the mountains. Not much cellular service in the area, but there is plenty to do and it isnt to far to get in to Crested Butte or the Ski Resort.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Beautiful cabin in the valley - Beautiful property with rustic cabin, close to hiking trails, and a nearby creek. If you like remote, this is the place to be. Quiet, peaceful, no TV or internet in the cabin. The drive in was a little more than expected with a narrow road along a mountainside. The road into the resort would be better traveled with a 4 wheel drive vehicle. Road can be icy. Everything was as expected except for having to take out the trash everyday way down the road. Wasn't happy that I had to tote my own trash with the rate that I was paying! In addition, there were dogs on the property that roamed about peeing on the snow outside my cabin. Not too happy about that. In addition, while told the dogs were friendly, they barked and growled when we walked through the property. While I enjoyed the stay, I would not pay the rate I paid again for being so remote and for having to take out my own trash and clean out my cabin with the threat of a very high cleaning fee if we did not. Plus no fresh towels allowed for 6 days!
