- Wayne (9/5): Warm, friendly and comfortable accomodation. - At short notice we required an early check-in and after a quick phone-call was told that is wasn't an issue, which was a great help. The room was clean and comfortable and the breakfast was spot on, we couldn't have asked for better. Nothihg, our expectations were met.

- Joseph (10/5): All good - I was travelling on a bicycle and appreciated the host providing a secure spot for it overnight. The burger I ordered in the evening was delicious and a very filling meal for a cyclist. The breakfast was excellent and set me up for a further day on the bike. Can't think of anything. I strongly recommend this inn.

- Orley (10/5): Friendliness and coziness and delicious pub food! - It was such a treat to be the only guests at a pub hotel. We came from London (our annual trip from LA) to see a college friend of mine, and the owners allowed us to have our reunion over a delicious dinner over a six hour period! The breakfast was delicious, and we could choose from a range of traditional British breakfast items! A hidden gem. Thanks so much.
- Carol (8/5): Very good -
- Timothy (9/5): Ideal for what we wanted - Location was good for getting to the show site, the selection of evening meals Would have liked a chair in the room to relax on rather than sitting on the bed, but there wasn’t room for a chair

- Debbie (8/5): Perfect for an overnight stay, great staff and good food - It was conveniently placed for our trip. Staff were friendly, welcoming and attentive. The room was very clean. Evening food was lovely and the breakfast was superb. It was very quiet in the room despite it being at the front on the main road. The bed was too firm and a little uncomfortable, but this is personal preference. Shower enclosure was quite small and the water took a few minutes to heat up.

A pleasant stay. Just a couple of small niggles. Although staff were friendly there wasn't much information given - Check in was a little unorganised and no instruction on out of hours entry ( until later) or where breakfast was etc.
Also no bin in bedroom area.
Bed a little soft for our liking but that's personal preference.

Breakfast cooked for us to order, we felt very luxurious being the only guests there. There wasn't anything I didn't like. The only thing was it being a bit out of the way, having to get a taxi. However, the next day they offered us a lift to the nearest train station to get us back into Newark which was such a help.
- Stephen (10/5): Lovely Pub and Restaurant. - Everything. The staff, the locals, the food and the bar. The bedrooms are very comfortable, and the staff made us very welcome. Nothing to dislike.

- Sam (10/5): Fabulous place, so happy we found it - Amazing place, what a great find. We quite often have to find little places to stay whe we are working and rarely we return to them as we may not be in that area again but we will definitely make sure we are back here at the Lord Nelson. We had a wonderful meal on the saturday evening in the pub, great food, lovely atmosphere, great beer and the lady who served us, sorry didn't remember your name, was just wonderful. Richard got up early on the Sunday morning to make us a wonderful breakfast too. All round a gem of a pub, can totally recommend it to ayone. Thank you so much, Sam & Gaz, the comicon couple xxx nothing we didn't like, it was all amazing
- Carmel (9/5): This is an excellent B&B and despite our little niggle we would stay there again and recommend it to - The breakfast was excellent; our hosts were warm and welcoming. There was a friendly convivial atmosphere in the pub and we greatly enjoyed our evening meal which was beautifully cooked and presented and very tasty. It was a lovely sunny evening so we were able to spend time in the garden before dinner. Our bedroom had everything we could possibly need, and was very comfortable, but as it was at the front of the building facing the road it took some time for the noise of passing traffic to die down.
- Barbie (9/5): Would stay again - Food good, facilities good, staff excellent. Lovely to have a teapot in my room. Road a bit noisey
- Cheryl (10/5): Excellent stay . Brilliant food and friendly staff. - Went for a wedding at the pheasantry brewery. Good location for the wedding either by car or taxi. Excellent breakfast and the room had everything you need. After a long journey the owner had already booked a table for the evening meal which was excellent. Very friendly staff . Would definitely recommend. Breakfast was superb.
- Kevin (10/5): Very welcoming, accommodating and would strongly recommend - A variety of small matters which added up to an excellent service provided. Comfortable accommodation, good food, really helpful host and staff. Nothing comes to mind
- Melanie (10/5): Will definitely be coming back next time we are in the area - Lovely place to stay. Staff were very friendly and all good was exceptional. Great value for money, would definitely recommend Nothing, everything was great
- Susan (9/5): Superb -
- Stephen (8/5): Characterful pub & people. - Friendly welcome. Food for dinner and breakfast was good. Rooms were clean, staff friendly & professional. Nothing to complain about. It is not a city centre glass & aluminium formulaic hotel. Don't expect bells & whistles and enjoy the character of the place.
- Tapiwa (7/5): Good -
- John (8/5): Very pleasant staff, and pleasant honest food - Very pleasant staff, good dinner of honest pub food (but the wine bottle was brought already opened) Pleasant room. It was conveniently close to the location we had been at in Collingham. The room was set up for one person by mistake when we arrived and that was what its size was really suitable for. But it is an old pub so the room size is difficult to alter. If the double window was closed noise of occasional passing traffic below the window was muffled, but open it was quite loud because they went fast along the long straight road. Breakfast was a bit limited but OK.
