• Ashley (8/5): Everything was very clean and well kept, Just remember to bring earplugs. - Sunday buffet was great at the restaurant on site. Rooms were very clean. The property was well kept. Everything looked like it was older but very well taken care of. The walls were very thin. Several children upstairs banging around, sounded like they were tipping dressers over. You could hear everyone's tvs and toilet habits. Hard to sleep. Coffee pot was broken so no coffee on the first day. Had a brand new pot that evening.

• Gregory (3/5): Sad, old inn - Absolutely fabulous young lady at the front desk First 2 rooms we were given were smelly and gross (the first one was actually under repair and wasn't supposed to be in use) The young lady upgraded us to a better room, which was nice because it had a jacuzzi, but everything about the room was worn and sad. The floor by the bed creaked loudly when stepped on. Each outlet, which there weren't many of, only had one functioning plug. There were blinds, but no curtains on the windows, so the light came in. When you didn't want the room dim, it was because there were only a few lamps. The fridge wasn't very cold. I left our things in our cooler because that was actually colder. The coffee maker only had decaf (not a life ending problem, just couldn't even get a cup of coffee before we left in the morning) The room was on the end, so it was quiet. That, the jacuzzi and the young lady were the only good things about the stay. We had heard really good things about the restaurant, but after all that, we didn't even feel like going, so we can't comment on that

• Parker (4/5): It was OK just had a few hiccups. I don’t know if I should contact the manager about my food or what - It is a very nice air, very relaxing I had a couple of hiccups in my stay. My Keurig was not working right and when I ordered room service, I got a large order of food, which I already wanted to order of the side, cause I didn’t have a lot of money. I was kind of disappointed because cause I just literally used all my money and I did not want to use all my money and I had but other than that I always have a great time there.

We had dinner it was terrible, the best thing was the bread. Steak was grisly and salty, the baked potato was old. Bathrooms were not clean. Regulars at the bar were not very nice, staring and awkward.

• Madison (1/5): Awful night of overheating, smelly, unsafe, no sleep stay. Will NOT be returning! - The gentleman who checked us in (at the bar) was very friendly but it was not professional waiting at a bar filled with people already loud and drunk to check in to room. There is no check in desk, the bartender does it. Check in process was uncomfortable. The room smelled like cat pee and was masked with a godly awful amount of musky Fabreeze, the bed was too soft that we couldn’t get comfortable. There was lineman workers who blared music at 11pm at night and brought home random girls (sex workers) making noise levels and unwanted sounds throughthe wee hours of the night. Disgusting. The walls are definitely paper thin. Wreaked of weed stench. The guests upstairs were partying all hours of the night. We booked for two night and ended up leaving after night two. I went out to my car at 10pm and sex workers were solicitating the property, knocking on the doors of guests offering a good time. Absolutely disgusting. Hair was clogged in the shower drain. The heat was set at 68* and it felt like 90* in the room. Awful experience!
• Michelle (5/5): Frequent Traveler Felt Put Off - The room was huge. I could open the windows. The restaurant and bar has good food and service. Lots of parking available. I am pretty sure the bed had been slept in before I arrived. I checked in late, so by the time I was going to bed, no one answered the phone. No one to get fresh linens from. The bedspread smelled like ass, and the sheets were wrinkled like someone had slept on them. I was very tired by that time and I slept over on the other side. Next morning, I stripped the bed and put everything in a pile by the door for housekeeping. I then politely as I could, told the housekeeper that I need clean sheets and bedspread. She looked disgusted at me. When I came back later, the same ass smelling bedspread was on the bed. It had the same stain on it. It was clearly dirty. I would have stayed a couple more nights but I was very put off by this and left the next day. The price really is inflated because there isn't much to choose from in the area.

• Wolpink (4/5): - Location was good but did not have breakfast. It took forever to get warm water to run in sink and couldn't use shower cause of same issue and the shower spout was hard to operate. The door to room didn't seal properly and you could here traffic all night long. Also the guest in next room to ours used something, either tub or window unit that was extremely loud and made it difficult to sleep. Also took over half hour to get sandwiches in restaurant which only had about 6 people when we ordered them. Staff were extremely nice and helpful.

• kristen (8/5): A good, old school roadhouse stop - Worth it just for the on site restaurant! Old school with multiple courses included and some of it was over the top good. The oil for the bread course and dip for the veggie tray was great! We had the surf and turf special for $29! Lobster tail was good. Steak was ok. Probably tenderized and i don't love that texture. The green beans are amazing. Never thought I'd write that sentence. Service was not great but good (there were multiple mistakes like forgetting the soup course until the entree came and giving both of us the wrong sides), but she was very nice and hooked us up with half and half for coffee. We had doggy bags to put in the fridge. Check in was with the bartender and you didn't really know that unless you go to the bar and ask. Lots of smokers outside the motel rooms. We weren't sure if they were workers staying there for a job or guys living there.

• Verified traveler (4/5): No cleaning - It’s dated and a little shabby. Lighting in the room was terrible, no way to read in bed. Considering it is on a main road, the room was quiet. My major objection however is that my room was never cleaned, although I put out the “please make up the room” hangtag every day. The housekeeper would change it to a “do not disturb” tag every day. When I finally complained to a manager, he said the owner would get in touch with me to remedy the situation, but he never did.

She wasn't friendly and only said we would be charged if we smoked, had a loud party, or had pets. No welcome, no smile. It was like we were an imposition. The sheets were stained and dirty. We found 2 black spiders in the bathroom and one one crawling down the bed. The only good thing about the property was the maid, who was friendly and doing her best. They need to do a better job laundering sheets and get pest control to treat the property.

• Christina (10/5): - It’s hard to find a good hotel in a smaller town sometimes but Fred’s inn was great. Clean, easy check in, and they serve food till 9pm if you need it. The stay was perfect and the price reasonable. If I had to go back to that town I would stay there again
• Scranton (8/5): Great accommodations, shady fee structure in the restaurant that is actually illegal. - The room was great! Nicely decorated and it felt very cozy. The illegal fees you charge per item in the restaurant. Per federal law, you cannot exceed 3.5% of the total bill and you are charging $1 per item on your restaurant menu. While you comply with NY law with transparency by posting the fee in your menu, you are legit making a profit from your customers by charging the credit card fee the way you are. That was absolute robbery of your guest choosing to dine in your restaurant. Had I had my wife and kids with me and we all ordered 3-4 items each, you would have charged me an extra $12-$16. You are also not so clear about the automatic 20% gratuity you put on all checks regardless of the number of guests. I didn't catch that until I looked at my bill. Honestly, this was the only thing I found wrong, but it was a huge "wrong"! It is against the law to charge this much in credit card fees and you need to be transparent about the 20% gratuity, not put in fine print.

I ordered dinner from the restaurant and one of ladies was very kind to bring it to my room. I ordered the korean style salmon and it was cooked perfectly. The extras that came with the meal were a pleasant surprise. The room was very clean and welcoming. The bed was extremely comfortable. As a lone female traveling i felt very safe. I wish my stay was longer. Everything was great!! I would definitely stay here again and most certainly will eat at the restaurant. The food was fantastic 😁 Nothing. Everything was great.

• Sara (8/5): Thanks!! - Cute, lots of character, great location. The one staff Member who was still there when we arrived at 10 graciously fixed me a drink, though the restaurant was all closed. Good value. Beds could use updating, but they were plenty good enough to get a good night’s sleep!
• Dorena (9/5): A short stay. - Room was fine. There was a little noise from the people in the room above, but it did not last very long. The restaurant was AWESOME!!! Not enough light in the room. Only two lamps.
