Guest Reviews
- Peggy (10/5): - Schoon, goedwerkende airco, heel vriendelijk personeel
- Valerie (8/5): - Teba House is ideally located close to restaurants, shops, the Monkey Forest. Maybe 30min walk to the Royal palace and museums.
It is rather comfortable, with all the basic amenities and equipment.
The staff is friendly and very helpful overall.
I had breakfast included, it was basic egg on toast and coffee/tea, just enough to get you through your morning exploration!
Thank you Wayan and team!
- Marabel (10/5): - I saw some reviews about bugs in the rooms but mine only had a few ants, nothing major. Staff are very friendly.
- Carla (10/5): - Merci beaucoup pour la gentillesse, le service et l’excellent rapport qualité/prix qu’est le Teba House.
On recommande !!!
- Ximena (10/5): - The staff was super nice
- Marguerite (4/5): - Staff is friendly, room is clean but not the one we booked, breakfast is poor.
- Murat (2/5): - I had the worst experience staying at Teba House in Ubud, Bali. First of all, there was no air conditioning, and the room was unbearably hot and stuffy. It was impossible to get a good night’s sleep. To make matters worse, I actually saw a rat in the room! The place felt completely unhygienic. Everything in the room was old, broken, and falling apart—from the furniture to the bathroom fixtures. This hotel clearly hasn’t been maintained in years. I would never recommend this place to anyone.
- Jen (8/5): - Wayan was very helpful and the gardens in the property were delightful. More communication, extra towels in the rooms, and suggestions such as stop off at a market for bottled water would be helpful, especially for first time to Bali travelers. Great location!
- Jack (10/5): - Really nice people here, and as a easy accommodation to sleep at night - it’s great. Easy to walk in and around ubud from here too.
- Keegan (4/5): - I really wanted to like this place and I even overlooked a few things. But in the end, the property needs a lot of work and TLC. Everyone just opens up hotels in Bali and does not understand that it will need maintenance and upkeep.
Here are a few things that stood out:
-There were ants all over the room. At some point, they were all over my bed.
-The bathtub clogged up and wouldn’t drain
-The hot water went away for two days - had to shower in the cold
-There were animal sounds throughout the night. A rooster literally from 5am until noon - but it is Bali so not really a complaint, just a warning.
-The Wi-Fi here should not even be considered Wi-Fi. It barely ever works at all.
-You can hear the entire conversion of the neighbors easily.
-All the curtains in the room had large dirty stains on them, not sure why haha.
-The towels smell so terrible, I had to buy my own.
-At some point, I just stopped asking the hotel staff things because there were so many problems. I took photos and videos of everything.
- Goodtogo10250 (4/5): Central homestay run by friendly family but not clean rooms! - First of all, It is a homestay run by very friendly family. They were really accomodating and trying to help whenever possible. The location is very good, close to everyhing etc. Regarding to room, it is outdated and bathroom was too dirty! It felt like it hasn't been cleaned for ages! They really have to pay more attention to cleaning. This is not acceptable. The fridge is also making too much noise which makes sleeping quite difficult! There are also some animals jumping on the roof. It is not for light sleepers!
- Betsaira Graciella (10/5): - The property was near everything. I came at the home anytime and I was always safe. The family was very involved with everybody there to make sure that they’re in everything they need they’re able to get. It was a pleasure sharing time with the family.
- Klaus (10/5): - Peaceful nice garden
- Avery (10/5): - Would highly recommend you stay at Teba House if you are looking for a more local experience. Yan Nick was so helpful and I would recommend you take the Batur hiking trip he recommends along with renting scooters from him. He cleaned the rooms and the location felt safe and secure. Was a great location and easily walkable area. Would stay again!
- Igor (10/5): - Pros: good location, great stuff, calm environment
Cons: no electric kettle
- Tatiana (10/5): - I would love to come back :)
- David (6/5): Needs warm lighting - Bathtub stained with something that looks like mold. Bright blue white bulbs make it feel like a hospital. Needs warm lighting for night time. AC barely cools unless you leave it on all the time which is not good for the environment or the electricity bill
- Julie (10/5): - Property has beautiful gardens and outdoor areas, small but so nice.
Staff very friendly and helpful.
Room very basic but clean, and bed comfortable, with ac.
Walk to Monkey Forest and shopping, restaurants etc.
Good for the price.
- MAYUKO (6/5): - スタッフはフレンドリーで良いてす。施設が古いかな、かなり。
- Corrie OConnor (10/5): The best - Another wonderful stay at Teba House! I will certainly be back next time I am in Ubud. Clean, comfortable bed, wonderful family, beautiful garden, peaceful, and super central. Thanks again!
- Corrie OConnor (10/5): - Teba house has been a beyond perfect place to rest my head while in Ubud. The bed is comfy, sheets are good quality and clean, the location is perfectly central (3-7 min walk to any restaurant or yoga studio), and overall is a true gem. My room had great natural light I found myself extending my stay from 6 days to 12, as I couldn’t bring myself to leave. The host was very accommodating, from bringing fresh towels and cleaning the room, and even helped with antiseptic when I got into a motorbike accident. The garden is beautiful, with birds and hanging flowers throughout. It’s a little sliver of peace in the heart of all the bustle. Couldn’t recommend it more!
- kamalakar (4/5): - Rooms are not cleaned on daily basis. The tub and toilet are dirty. Bed sheets are not changed unless you ask for them. Several days the hot water is not there.
- Verified traveler (2/5): Very dirty room - The host was nice but the room was filthy (stains on the bed sheets, hairs, ants, dust, spider webs). Quite hot to sleep in there witha fan and no AC. Not great money for value at all.
- hopelesnomad (10/5): A true gem in Ubud - I loved this place. I booked for a night and ended up staying 4 nights. Nice garden, great staff, delicious breakfast, decent rooms and a peaceful surrounding. What more is needed ?
I highly recommend this property for a cool experience in Ubud.
- Verified traveler (4/5): disappointing stay - Our stay here started out positively, but ended poorly. Unfortunately, there was a misunderstanding with an extension we made on our stay, due to language difficulties with the staff at reception. The manager then got involved and essentially berated and demeaned us to try and get us to pay for an extra room to resolve the mistake. He was mocking and condescending, and it made the situation very uncomfortable. In the end, the hotel could be, but there were a number of other issues worth mentioning. Wifi was very poor. It went out entirely for 2 days and every time we mentioned it to the staff, they just said that it was working fine and did nothing to try to fix it. Also, a tampon (not ours) was left in our room in a very visible place by whoever cleaned our room that day. It was also annoying that they made us physically prove that our reservation included breakfasts for all of our family members even though they clearly had the reservation with the same information. Even after we showed them the reservation, they still asked us about it the very next day. If you’re looking for a hassle-free experience in Ubud, this is not it. We would not stay here again or recommend.
- Philip (6/5): Overal good value for money. - Accomodation is what you pay for.
Room and breakfast were fine. It's in a great location as central Ubud. Ideal if you don't plan to spend much time at the hotel.
Hotel staff very friendly and helpful.
Only issue is could hear cockerel at early hours of morning.
Also booked this room as said it has an in room safe which it does not. Slightly annoyed as was my main reason for booking this room as was arriving with work stuff and needed it to be secure.
- Aya_hiiragizawa (10/5): Teba house Ubud - It was a nice place to stay in Ubud and the the people are warm to their customers. They offer different breakfast everyday and prepared it to you immediately. Also, it was not noisy and you feel calm whenever you got home from an exhausting tours.
- edithm908 (10/5): Nice place to stay - The location is good as it is near the Ubud centre area, but be careful when using maps in going back to the homestay as there are many possible way to get there. And some of them are streets that has no street lights at night. Be familiar with your way from the centre, as it is the safest. The host is very nice. They will accommodate you really well and very friendly. The room is clean and they provide fresh linens and towels.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Lovely people and lovely inner courtyard. Very handy location in Ubud.
- 917elinaa (10/5): Good price, clean rooms, good location, friendly staff - first of all the statf were super friendly! they even help us book the tickets to gili islands in a better price that we could find it in town. We stayed in two rooms because we extended our stay for a day and we accidentally booked another room. The first one was the Deluxe room which was on the first floor and it was very clean and comfortable, but a bit too bright in the morning so don’t forget your sleeping mask. the second one in the groundfloor we wouldn't recommend because of the loud AC fan next to the window! all in all amazing location 10-12 min from monkey forest with a very tasty breakfast! ( especially the banana pancakes)
- 308matiasf (8/5): Good place - The place is good the rooms the staff and breakfast also. The location os perfect for visiting the city going to the different shows and everything. The typical balinese house decorations and offering are really beautiful and welcoming. They had a very old scooter to rent but it was ok to visit the surroundings. The only low point was that there was a radio antenna really close to the place.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Nice hotel run by nice people - Hotel staff were all very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was provided and the rooms were simple but had everything you need. The highlight of this place is definitely the gardens in the courtyard. Wifi was a bit spotty.
- Pantilimon (10/5): Thank you Teba House - Very warm and kind family, we felt very welcomed. Very clean, and nice garden. They contributed to our amazing experiences in Ubud.
- becky (8/5): - I enjoyed the location and the layout of the homestay
- ttrakuldee (10/5): Really nice - I stayed here 7 nights in deluxe room. It’s roomy cleaned and specious. It’s really quiet and a small little garden is very nice. Breakfast was basic but for the price I paid I’m very happy about it. It’s on the side of Main area in Ubud. It’s within 20 minutes walk to Jalan rays Ubud.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - It's always a pleasure to stay at Teba House, the familly and the staff are always doing their best to help me. The room was really clean, the bed so white and clean. Thank you !
- jonathanmM8981WU (8/5): Great Downtown Guest House - Lovely friendly hosts. A real welcome with much care.
It's a room on a budget, but meets all the criteria - bed, shower, he cold water. My room only had a fan, no AC, so full 'chill' wasn't possible, but I could easily get comfortable.
Simple and adequate breakfast.
Did the job at the price.
- travelaround0120 (10/5): Perfect environment for a relaxing month - Thank u Teba House for making my stay as comfy as possible. Loved everything. Specially the breakfast pancakes and the books laying around. It was a perfect place to unwind and get away from the world for a while.
- Aman (10/5): - Hotel is fine for what I paid! location is excellent !! Problem is lizard sometimes :D
- darias879 (4/5): Requires maintenance but good location - The guesthouse is located in a great location. Off the main road and close to great restaurants and a supermarket.
The condition of the room is terrifying: mold on walls and on beds, door to the bathroom doesn‘t close, front door can be easily open, no windows so can get a bit loud at times from the courtyard. The place really has to do some maintenance to get a better rating. Pictures speak for themselves.
- gojuszeus (4/5): 5* SERVICE FROM STAFF!! - Thank you, Wayan, for your impeccable Customer Service. And to Komang, for the deeeelicous breakfasts, when made by you. You guys work crazy shifts, but never hesitate, look frustrated or get annoyed when it came to guests needs. May all your efforts be recognized by those worthy of your service & great work ethic.
- AnthonySteven (8/5): A Hotel With Family Touch - In this hotel, you would be treated as member of family by the Owner, Pak Ketut.
I was there several times and I was always welcome as their member of families and even I was asked to join their dinner one fine night, which was so delicious and full of Local Foods including the legendary Sambal Matah.
This is a very affordable hotel with brilliant location as this is within walking distance from the Monkey Forest, City Centers plus great restaurants like Ryoshi or Bebek Bengil.
If you think of a budget hotel, this Teba House is a perfect place to stay
- laurenb466 (8/5): Good location, good price - Very basic accommodation, but each room has a small porch overlooking the beautiful garden. Great location and an easy walk to the Ubud market, monkey forest, and tons of shops and restaurants. You can also book tours and taxis right from the guest house. Breakfast was a bit small though.
- 57Elise (4/5): a great disappointment and the owner could not care less about problems - After staying the first three nights through bookings.com I stayed on. Deluxe room with flaking walls and mold. Ceiling deposits small black tar balls on you while you sleep. The internet hasn't worked now for three days and my MasterCard that works everywhere else will not work on owners machine as his machine is faulty but he says ' just cash give me cash then'. There is no real communication with him and he does not care to solve these problems just to take the money. New building works all night and the old washing machine screeches pus they use my terrace and stairs for hanging laundry. I do not advise anyone to stay here.
- AdamaBenno (10/5): Authentic family home stay - I was staying in room # 4, which has its pros and cons:
Cons: it is next to the laundry area, and the washing machine tends to make the noise of a dying warrior at times.
Besides, the next-door neighbours seem to have lots of dogs, roosters and chickens. They are striking up their nightly barking and cock-a-doodle-doo concerts at about 4 AM - and these animal concerts last for quite a while.
Solution:
Get used to it (the human mind is an amazing tool: you will actually get used to it if you stay long enough.
Otherwise: use ear plugs.
Pros:
The pros outweigh the cons by far:
Not only is the bathroom in #4 newly renovated, the biggest asset of Teba House are its people:
Ketut Suweca and his wife Ayu Ariani, their son Agus Wiguna and his wife Komang, the boys who are cleaning, ironing, making breakfast, etc. - everyone was helpful, light-hearted, humorous and polite; just wonderful people!
I had the pleasure of having Ketut as a guide and driver on various occasions (Goa Gojah/Elephant Cave, Tanah Lot/Water Temple, an entertaining afternoon at the Bali Safari Park, and other trips).
Teba House does not have a swimming pool. You may use the one at Ubud View Bungalows (for a 35000 irp flat rate) or at Adi Jaya Cottages: Go out through the back gate (below the breakfast area), turn left and then it’s the second house to the right.
Teba House’s location could not be better: it is about 5 minutes from the Monkey Forest, and at walking distance to many attractions.
In summary: a great Place to stay. Simple, inexpensive and with a family atmosphere.
- NontakanN (4/5): Cheap but somewhat odd - Cheap price. I stay in third floor, hot water is not working. My room has no pillow sheet. Also the door is somewhat insecure, it can open bidirectional and the only way to lock the door is using the key.
- AusinIndo (6/5): Good location, gardens & price; but not so clean - If you're looking for an extremely affordable place for a short stay in beautiful Ubud, this could be for you as long as you're not fussy. They've kept their gardens very nicely. My facilities were old and nothing special, but I could deal with that. Service was passable.
I do think the rooms need better cleaning, however. I saw a large cockroach as soon as I got in. Fair enough, sometimes rooms get cockroaches. But then I saw lots of what looked like insect remains on the floor all around the the edges of overhanging furniture. It wasn't pretty.
- nidasan (8/5): Stay silent and relaxation - Its great moment in Ubud. we stayed here 2 nights with calm and good atmosphere. We got the room no.9 with 2 beds one is a double bed and one is a single bed. The atmosphere was a lot of tree and flower.
Unfortunately, when we arrived, we could use hot water for shower, but after that time there was a problem and need to use only cold water. 😪
- PatsyW133 (8/5): Friendly - Everything you need it to have, what more do you want it to have at that cheap price. Nothing was too much for them to do for me. Clean sheets, clean room, hot water, nice breakfasts, nice Balinese garden and WiFi brilliant
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Very friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast was great.
- Andrea (10/5): great hotel - we were very happy staying there. the locations is good and the staff is very nice and helpful.
- janiecrtwright (8/5): Home away from home - Great guesthouse very traditional home with lovely, friendly staff, always enjoy my visits!
Amazing gardens peaceful and tranquil and great banana pancakes!
Well located within walking distance to hot spots
- Verified traveler (10/5): Staff asks to treat them like family. - The hotel is really well kept and has very friendly staff. As soon as I arrived they asked me to treat them like family.
- oswaldo (2/5): Very dissapointed with the room chose for my stay - Arrive n ubud at 11pm on the 30th of january 017,given as only choise a room with a bathroom n complety need of repairs ,the floor n very dirty ,the door broken ,the shower provide water, but not easy to handle o place the shower hose n the rigth place n water goes everywhere while having a shower, strong smell coming from toilet .Breackfeast was serve at small up stairs location ,very basic food, try two days n gave up .,due to the luck of entusiasm by the person n charge of making breakfeast ,Requets for a better room ,being ignore by the owners as theyr grt litle involment n my concern, after I complain about the bathroom condition,a men from hotel come to room n try to scrabe the bathroom floor!Left the hotel a week before my stay due,to being toll s not goin to ne any refund for the remainig week, not ask for refund!Im happy to tex expedia photos of the room I was given for my stay!not sure how much control expedia have when customers chose a hotel n paid at front with not idea what I will get for my money! All Im asking s a fair deal ,this hotel may get better rewies from guest staying n the new room area, but they manager or owner dont upgrade the old standar rooms to match the money I paid at front!I will like to be copensate by expedia if posible!this hotel every time gets a complain ,responde with future offering to correct the problem but does not happen till every one forgets it n the circle continues! Never Again!
- Brandon (6/5): Good for the price but.... - Not bad, people are friendly enough and breakfast was ok. I had the standard room which was pretty no-frills. No daily cleaning. Chairs on the patio were of the uncomfortable bamboo variety. Bedding was a bit shredded and the roof leaked in 3 places when it rained (every day)...but not over the bed so it was manageable. Good for budget traveller that just needs a place to sleep
- James (10/5): Beautiful, affordable, and great stay - The staff was very friendly and accomodating. Breakfast was simple, but tasty. The grounds were beautiful and relaxing. I would definitely stay there again!
- Lai Hong (8/5): Budget and good value - All very good till the end. We wanted to book a taxi with them at their price but were disappointed with their service.
They do the very basic for you and that is it I won't say they make extra effort on services.
- Per (10/5): Affordable and Central - We stayed for 2 nigths. Really close to the Monkey Temple, walking distance to everything in central Ubud, and still in quiet area. Staff friendly and helped us get a relatively cheap and good speedboat ticket to Gili. The breakfast was small but free. Room was spaceous, but not super clean. Overall worth the money.
- Mark (4/5): Manager is a jerk. - As basic as basic gets, Breakfast OK, It cost nothing to be nice but I think he is the manager his name is Waion or something like that, 1 of those guys who thinks he is doing you a favour for doing anything , for a young man he has a lot to learn about human nature and the service business, ill never come back hear again and ill tell my friends the same .
- Verified traveler (8/5): Happy with the stay! - Nice hotel to stay with nice breakfast on offer. Close proximity to everything. Booked the queen size bed and happy with it
- Reggie (8/5): Quiet, comfy place close to Monkey Forest. - Teba House is located along a quiet lane two streets away from Monkey Forest Rd. So its quiet yet still conveniently close to the shops and restaurants along Monkey Forest Rd and Jln Hanoman. Nice place.
- aneesha (8/5): Beautiful balinese style experience. - Very nice friendly staff and owners (the owners even gave us a ride to our destination after check-out. goes to show how warm hearted they were). Good breakfast with great location.
- Jo (10/5): - The staff were amazing! Really friendly and helpful. Breakfast was amazing and the rooms were very clean and serviced everyday which I totally did not expect given the very low cost of the accommodation. I would highly recommend to anyone wanting to stay in Ubud.
If you are someone that needs an air conditioner then just check which rooms come with aircon
- Not Provided (8/5): Recommended! - Very nice place, staff was super helpful and friendly! The room was what you can expect at a two star hotel, but clean and absolutely worth the price. Close to the monkey forest and two of the bigger streets for food, shopping and taxis.
- Verified traveler (2/5): In the beginning was very good UNTIL? - i stayed at this hotel with my daughter in August . We had seperate rooms my daughter found bedbugs on the second night in the material headboard she had bites on her face and arms. The headboard was crawling. We notified the staff immediately and they did not seem so concerned they sprayed the room and kept the head board. We moved to another hotel. Within an hour of the spreading there was another couple put into that room. That headboard should have been removed and maybe burned but all they did was spray it. Not happy.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - Very basic, but I suppose it is to be expected at the price.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Nice Balinese homestay - We had a great time at Teba House. The homestay is centrally located and the staff was extremely helpful. Simple but clean rooms. Great tour prices and true Balinese atmosphere.
- Tony (2/5): Pretty bad. - Pretty bad, couldn't stay there after seeing the rooms on offer.
The owner kindly gave us a ride to a new hotel up the road, trying to get some money refunded.
- Bronwyn (6/5): Cheap and cheerful. - Good location close to shopping and easy walking distance to Monkey Forest.
- lilMo (8/5): Teba house review
Very nice place to stay and a - good experience and lovely atmosphere in this hotel. Felt as though i was in Bali as it is very traditional.
- Liz (8/5): Nice budget hotel but needs love - Excellent staff and location but room needs TLC. The bed had chewing gum stuck to the headboard and the plug socket was hanging out the wall so definitely needs some attention!!!
- M (6/5): Simple but good enough - The garden is very cute, the rooms are simple, it does the job if you just need somewhere to sleep and are not too fussy about service. However just a towel and some toiletries would be appreciated. Location is pretty good.
- Richard (10/5): Paradise in paradise - Teba House is located far enough off the main highway to be a little secluded, but close enough so access to everything is possible. i walked the streets around Teba House every day and each day found something new to enjoy. Shopping, restaurants of all types, the Monkey Temple, the Agunga Rai Muesum, shuttle service, taxi service. everything is within was short walk from this B&B.
And the family atmosphere was unbelievable, I stayed there for two weeks, it felt like I was leaving home when I had to return to the states. My best recommendation is this, am going back to Bali and will spend 30-days there, all at the Teba House.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Look up other hotels - This hotel was disappointing. This is not reflective of the staff - they were polite and friendly. My room was a standard room, however it might as well be sub-standard. The windows have a screen but no covering - which meant you hear all the traffic and cleaning staff noises. I didnt sleep well a single night. The toilet seat was broken. There was no hot water the first day but that was fixed when I mentioned it to the staff. The breakfast is nothing to rave about. Wifi is strong. There are a plethora of other hotels that are in the area for cheaper as well as other amenities like swimming pools/better breakfast. I paid in advance or I would have moved after the first night. In the 5 weeks I toured, this was the least favourite place I stayed - and I'm not exactly picky. The staff do convince you hard to pick a tour from them. Don't.
- raymond (8/5): Warm and friendly place to stay - I stayed here twice in February. First stay was in a delux and second in superior which I changed and paid the difference next day to upgrade to the delux. The small difference in rate is worth upgrade. Convenient but yet removed from the busy Hanoman street.Very close to Coco supermarket and restaurants. The staff was beyond friendly and accommodating. Would definitely stay here again.
- Julie (6/5): COULD BE BETTER... - This hotel is rather a homestay. The owner and his family live there. When we arrived I was upset to hear "you have to pay in advance" just after I said I was Julie and checking-in, no friendly welcome or nothing! I paid and was able to see our room: it was good size but very basic- beds only! not a side table/lamp, no coffee/tea maker (wrong description in the ad). Staff is nice but not professional - first morning at breakfast I asked if it was possible to have 2 more slices of bread for my kids and the 3 guys looked at eachother and went to another one who told me I would be charged! We always had to ask for toilet paper as they would never think about putting one in advance in the bathroom, which was very basic too. The other thing is they were not really willing us to use the kitchen so that could be problematic for a long stay. But everything was CLEAN / the beds were good too.The terrace/small garden is nice, it's relatively quiet and peaceful atmosphere. The rooms are not expensive so if you are not too regarding comfort I could recommend you stay there. You can go anywhere in UBUD by walking. I'd say they should do the repairs here and there in the rooms/bathrooms, put some furniture, renovate the bathrooms using quality equipment, ask the staff to park their motorbike outside and not right in front of the rooms, improve their service and increase a little bit their prices and that could become a perfect palce to stay!
- Julie (6/5): OK but could be even better ! - We had a Standard room for 4 nights. It was very basic - no a/c but bed was ok. Everything was a little bit damaged - interruptor for bathroom was broken / light not working for shower. The small garden is nice (a shame there is always 4 or 5 motorbikes in it!!). The owners and staff are kind but not really professional. Otherwise everything is clean and relatively quiet. The breakfast is simple but good. This is OK for the price but could be such a better place!
- sarah (8/5): Nice homestay, good location - It was in good location for me away from the main busy area but close enough to walk to. Although teba house was on busy road it was like a little paradise enclosed inside with beautiful garden.
All the staff were young but very helpful and friendly, always laughing. The rooms are a little rundown for the price but good WiFi and beautiful atmosphere and the rooms were cleaned very well everyday. I would recommend a stay here.
- Lee (2/5): bad experience - bugs are found on the bed but the hotel denied it. They just gave us new teared bedsheet and ask us to change ourself in the midnight
The room is dusty
- sunseter (10/5): Great and affordable place in Ubud - This place was very basic, clean and within easy walking distance to shops, food places within Ubud! The staff were incredibly helpful! The place was comfortable and I would highly recommend this to other travellers! Staff were helpful in terms of the best way to organise tours at good rates!
- Olatokunbo (8/5): Perfect for solo travel - It was perfect for my trip , friendly staff treat you like royalty. Around great restaurants in Ubud, great location
- Verified traveler (10/5): Quiet rooms, great atmosphere, delicious meals - Great location just about 10 minutes from central Ubud and the monkey forest, but also on a very quiet side street. The staff was very friendly and a great help in organizing transport around Bali. Great verandas overlooking the central courtyard...perfect for reading and relaxing. The bedroom was a bit small for three people, but we spent most of our time hanging out on the veranda anyway. Included coffee and breakfasts were also very good.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Well worth the Price - Comfortable and welcome stay. Best part was staff assistance.
- sk.lee (10/5): Easy to reach to the shops, calm, peaceful.. - I was stayed in 'delux' room on the 2nd floor, nice, modern, clean room.
In the morning, i could enjoy sun shine..through the windows.
Everyday they offer breakfast, for me ?banana toast was awesome : )
- Verified traveler (10/5): nice hotel with friendly people - i went to bali with my husband and 1,5yo son last week. the staff and owner's family are so friendly, cozy place if you travelling with kiddos. i recomend this place.
- Ash (10/5): Spent peaceful time there! - I definitely advise this typical house! Rooms are tidy, wide (maybe to much just for me, lol), love the breakfast as well. Anyway! The staff was lovely and extremely willing. And not far from most of what is interesting to in Ubud? Why asking for more?
- hadrien (10/5): teba house - good and very nice place, we meet a very friendly staff. good breakfast, clean room and nice quiet garden. I recommend this place!!
- Verified traveler (8/5): Lovely locals, very welcoming and attentive - When I first arrived I thought the room, although clean, needed some work on it but the people were just so welcoming and friendly that I quickly felt at home and ended up extending my stay.
- Gilles (2/5): worst place ever - Most awful place ever with wort staff. Of course they didn't say there were loud and early constructiin works goin out in front of my room. The bed and pillow were so uncomfortable I had to see a chiropractor because of the pain in my neck. Also the sheets were very itchy and suspicious. After the first night I checked but tge they didn' want to reimbourse my money of the2nd night and expected me to pay extra for the iverpriced taxi ride. I said the money of the overpriced room should pay for the taxi and that's when it became violent and scary. I got yekled at almost hit and threatened to call the police and army! Crazy people!
- Verified traveler (8/5): Nice - Greate value for money.
- Noorina (8/5): good location & good service - Overall,it was a pleasure staying here..it's a homestay with nice landscape. It's just walking distance from Perama Tour & Travel, which i took the shuttle van to get to Ubud from Kuta. The bed was comfortable while the bathroom is clean. But the cupboard was having funny smell which i didn't like. Nearby this place, there's a lot of fine eatery places & also shops selling souvenirs. You may enjoy staying here if you want to experience locals' daily living activities.
- Ren (10/5): If you are traveling by yourself - If you are looking for a budget or long stay holiday home then this is the place to go to. It's a hidden gem. Staffs are friendly and you will feel like home. I miss the cute little puppy they have. Very clean and very cheap. I stayed there for 5 says and I loved it! It's close to yoga barn. I was waken up by roosters every morning and go to do the morning flow classes at yoga barn everyday. I actually liked being waken up by roosters early in the morning. It's a great start of the day. It's also close to coco mart which is a huge supermarket for expats. And it's basically close to everything else. The street it is on (the back of the main street JL hannamon, is very quiet and local. If you walk up you will find many restaurants and street food locals go to. Where you pay 1/10-1/5 of what you pay at the restaurants on the main tourists streets that has English speaking staffs and English menus. It's OK if you don't speak indo, I don't, and I managed to do everything with body language :)
- nic (8/5): Great for the price - Comfortable and clean room. Shower good except from no hot water at night. Really nice garden area. Free wifi works well. Friendly staff though perhaps a little over keen to remind that they can books tour for you. Location good, not quite the center of Ubud but close enough and plenty round about. Can't really fault it given the price.
