Guest Reviews
- richards (1/5): -
- Terry (2/5): - It was closed due to the hurricane. You should not rent closed hotels. I need a refund
- Marie (4/5): - When we got there around 10pm and got our key, the room was still obviously being used by someone, the tv was on and it was a mess. The front desk lady was very helpful and sweet about getting us a new room though. But, there were dead roaches and spiders in our room and it felt kinda gross. You get what you pay for i guess
- Julianne (2/5): - I hour past our arrival time we were stuck in traffic on the freeway. We received a blocked call and a representative told us our room was cancelled tonight due to unforeseen circumstances. Traveling with a young family on 2 nd day of the road trip was devastating. We pulled up at the location according to GPS and the hotel was roped off and sitting in a construction state.
- James (2/5): OYO Hotel in Lake Park on I-75 - About 2 hours prior to my scheduled arrival I received an email and text stating my reservation had been cancelled because the hotel was “blocked / closed” and no explanation as to what that meant. When I tried to call the hotel it went to a generic voicemail with no way to speak with anyone. Terrible experience!
- Valerie (2/5): - The place is closed down they sent a store placed that was closed
- Gwyn (6/5): Hotel Closed—DO NOT BOOK - This hotel is closed and has been for a long time. DO NOT book this hotel. Hotels.com needs to update their system!
- K (8/5): - Little confusing as there are 2 OYÓ hotels at this exit. One is currently closed and that is the one google maps/Expedia was sending us too. This is a decent place for an overnight stay. Steak place next to the hotel has good food also!
- Leila (2/5): SCAM ARTISTS/MOTEL 6 cover up. - Disgusting. Bugs in the bed. All of the rooms labeled non smoking were smoking rooms before and you can smell it. It’s actually a motel 6 and if you want a refund good luck. they can’t refund it til hotels.com get in touch with them but the phone number provided to hotels.com is not a real phone number.
- Jessica (4/5): Made me question my life... - There was never anyone in the office when needed, really rough people hanging outside my room making me feel so uncomfortable that I felt the need to carry something to protect myself just to go outside to smoke. There were dead bugs and cigarette ashes in the floor of the bathroom and poop on the wall. I walked down to find an employee to show them and they offered nothing in return but changing rooms. Which seemed pointless by this time. As my job is vital to the state of Georgia and this is my reason for travel, it was very disappointing to be in these conditions. Couldn't rest due to all the noise by workers after 8 pm and guests. Very disappointed. Right outside my room was a group of men, which were bragging about recent felonies, left one of their guys passed out drunk by the pool in the heat and I saw him out my window and basically carried him to his room.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - The hotel was ok except the room reeked of smoke, mildew along the tub, and the tv didnt work at all. I stayed a few hours and left.
- Shirley (4/5): - When I discovered this hotel on the app I was excited for my trip, but when I arrived to the hotel and walked into the room I was very disappointed. I had to purchase cleaning items to clean the room and the bathroom. The bathroom was the WORST. I knew I wouldn't be offered a refund so I sucked it up for that night and went to another hotel. I would not recommend staying at this hotel unless need be. I can honestly say I seen no bugs, but the cleanliness should be better. They also should invest in new towels or a better washer and dryer, some of the towels had "dirt" stains on it according the front desk associate.
- Douglas (4/5): Not my favorite stay - In fairness to the hotel, it was under new management and they were trying to keep the hotel open as they updated the rooms. I would give them at least another 30 days before I even thought of staying there again. It needs a lot of work, the previous ownership/chain did not keep the property up to date at all.
- Harv (6/5): - Price is right, clean rooms, wifi still not working after I asked if it was. We we're hear a few weeks ago. Wifi wasn't working then
- Verified traveler (8/5): - I've stayed here a few other times when I go to Valdosta. I like to stay in lake park.
They where great this time. My room was not all that clean and it smelled back also the bathrub was broke but soon as I said something they moved us to another room and it was clean didn't smell and the bathtub wasn't broke. The ppl here are very nice. I love staying at this hotel.
- Kenny (10/5): - Night lady checked me in even though my phone had put my girl friend name as the one making reservations. I showed her the text and she didn't panic, just got it done and I was able to get in bed quickly. Thank you
- Verified traveler (2/5): - So far this experience has been one of the worst even being in the industry for 23 years as a director of front office and housekeeping. Upon check in my first room the room key did not work and a very strong odor of marihuana coming from the next door neighbor. After going back to the front desk I was able to get my room changed. Upon getting to my second room I decided to inspect the room and found hair on the bed, stained sheets with brown spots, pubic hair on the toilet seat and floor, inside the toilet bowl it looked like the mop was washed inside the bowl and was not flushed one issue is ok to deal with but one issue after another very hard to deal with.
- Jeffrey (2/5): - Just the worst, I am sorry to report. Their "computer was down." So They had to generate a whole new hand-written charge form. Room was a D+ on an elementary school report card.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - System were down. Had to pay cash. Ok that is what happened so nothing more i can say.Thank you.
- Jamaican (2/5): - Cashier at the front desk was very friendly & inviting. Both rooms booked by my family had roaches, bed was rusty underneath, springs are worn out, comforter is dirty, bath towels are dirty, & one side of the hotel looks deserted. The entire hotel needs to be remodeled.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - A/C was good, bed was comfortable for one night. TV did not work could not connect to front office.
- Nancy (2/5): Customer Turned Away - I booked a non smoking king room however when I arrived the room smelled like smoke. Akash at the front desk, only had a double available which I was willing to take, but he felt the room didn't smell like smoke. So he said he could not give me a double but could give me a refund. Obviously there was a lack of good customer service, since he argued with me over the smell of smoke and he wasn't willing to change my room so we left.
- Kelly (2/5): - We decided to stop here after driving a few hours. Our first room smelled like urine and smoke and there was a huge yellow stain on the bedsheet. We went back to the office and asked the man in the front to please change our room and he moved us to the room next door. We thought it was doable, until we got ready to get into bed and noticed a full foot print on the sheets! You could see the print perfectly with all 5 toes. We decided we could not stay the night there so we kindly told the man we would be staying elsewhere. He told us we’d have to contact Expedia for a refund. I contacted Expedia the moment we left and they assured me that they would take care of it. Today, two days later I received an email from Expedia stating that due to their policy, although we did not stay the night, they could not refund us. Horrible experience!
- Verified traveler (10/5): - The property had been recently updated with fresh rooms and pool area. Given its value @under $50.00 you can’t go wrong. Staff was friendly and helpful.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - I lot of construction going on, noise late in evening and very early in morning
- Slimm (8/5): - it was a nice stay i would stay again staff was great and check in was fast
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Decent property for a one night stay. Convenient to Valdosta
- Jennifer (6/5): Wild Adventures Stay - It was perfect for the location. The only negative things I can say is the towels were super small and were not changed out. The room had a odd smell to it. The fridge would not get things very cold. The pool area was very nice and clean.
- ava (10/5): - Our stay was great even when I was signing to check out they stopped to make me a fresh pot of coffee so I'd have some on the way home
- Verified traveler (6/5): - The motel room had roaches, pubic hair on the shower stall and bathroom floor
- Timothy (8/5): Good and clean - Nice front office staff. Clean simple room. Would stay here again.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - They works all... except the freezer is too small
- Earl (8/5): - Loved it. Great people... Quite. Pool looki good. Check invery easy..
- Tom (6/5): Same as the Last Visit - I've stayed here before so I knew what to expect. It is a lower priced hotel and it is reflected in the facility. I do have to say the maids really worked hard to clean a sold out hotel and turn it over for the next day. While our room was not ready at check in time, the maids made an extra effort to get it ready for us. They were friendly but you could tell they were over worked. Kudos to them!
- Tiffany (6/5): - Went to swim in the pool with my family. There was people drinking smoking and playing profanity filled music it was very loud.
- Dori (8/5): Clean and comfortable. - Room was clean, service friendly and convenient location. Non smoking room had a slight smoke smell. I didn’t use the pool, but it looked very inviting. Great inexpensive stay right off the highway.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - This Hotel it’s a bad hotel ! People out side the rooms really bad people the rooms are Very dirty I don’t recommend this hotel for no body
- Danny (6/5): Coming back - Hotel was somewhat run down but they were working to update it. Very friendly staff.
- Lorena (6/5): - Not good
No caffe
Cleaning bad
E
In general bad vvbdjxnxidnfkf
- Jill (2/5): Filthy Room! - King size room I reserved was never cleaned from prior guest, I was checking in at 10:30pm.
Tat room was covered in urine. I was "comped" a room with 2 queen beds, how is that an upgrade?
- Martha (6/5): Friendly staff - I loved the handicap shower that is on the floor so you don’t have to step into a tub. I wish all hotels did this. The bed was a disaster for a handicap person. I have a bad back and that mattress laying on a wood platform is terrible. The staff was very friendly, the area is rural but plenty enough places to enjoy a meal. The pool was very nice also. If it wasn’t for the bed I would be staying there again.
- Brandon (6/5): Get what you pay for. - You get what you pay for. Didn't feel clean.
- monica (8/5): Great Location Off I-75 - Quick Check-in & Clerk was nice also.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - My stay was very short. Really only a few hours after traveling from Ohio to lake park. Staff was friendly and the room was as expected.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Great stay - It was a cute hotel for being so cheap. It was comfy and clean. It was exactly what we needed.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Front desk was awesome. Room was dirty. Smelled like mildew and marijuana. We checked in at 1 am and left at 5 am due to smell.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Staff was so friendly, very accommodating. My daughter and I really enjoyed our stay and WILL be back again!
- Zakeria (10/5): Nice place to stay for the weekend. - First time going it was nice and clean and beautiful room to stay in for a good vibe and chill the beds are very soft .
- Verified traveler (2/5): Never again!!! - Planned on visiting Wild Adventures the next day and staying again the following night but since the room was so disgusting, I canceled for that night and come home.
- Matthew (6/5): Bed is quite firm - Room looked a little on the worn side. Bed was quite hard. Television had a scratch on the screen. We were there just to rest for the night and for that we are grateful.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - The price was right and they don’t charge for pets. The staff at check-in were friendly and helpful. The room has a modern look, but was not very clean. They don’t provide shampoo or in-room coffee, The bed was very comfortable!
- Verified traveler (8/5): One night at The 6 - The property was well lighted for parking at night. The landscape was very nice, and the swimming pool was crystal clear with a well furnished with deck chairs.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Was exactly what we needed - Perfect for an overnight stay. Nothing fancy as you can tell from the price, but cute for a cheaper hotel. We enjoyed our stay.
- Sheila (10/5): - Great staff, clean and convenient to Wild Adventures
- Amanda (6/5): Won’t stay again! - So we chose to stay at this hotel so that we would be close to wild adventures, let’s just say that I was pretty disappointed! Upon arrival, the desk clerk was very friendly, we went to our room, only to find that it was pretty gross! House keeping made our beds but didn’t wash the sheets! The floors were gross and so were the bathrooms! The comforter had burn holes on it and it smelled awful! I went to the front desk to get a refund, the clerk asked if I would try another room so I did! It was better, you could smell that it had been cleaned and that it had fresh linens! I know the term ( you get what you pay for) but that can be taken to far!
- Francine (10/5): Great for the price and needs - The room was great. Clean. Comfortable beds. Great shower except for short person shower head. I am a short person so it was great. TV was a bit small. But no problem. Wifi was not working during our stay. Room looked recently renovated. So some previous reviews might now be untrue. Sooo much to eat in walking distance.
- Angela (4/5): Gi somewhere else! - Dirty. Pictures online outdated. Room very worn. Crack across tv. Cracks in laminate floors, floors have been wet and are damaged. Excessively dirty behind bathroom door. Walls and baseboards were dirty. Walls were dirty and need scrubbed. White light fixtures dirty, looked like insect dropping. About half inch to inch gap under door to outside.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - When I got there it looked like a run down dirty dump. I made my reservation on Expedia but when I got there they had no room available and offered me another room for $30 more that what i tlreserved
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Went with 3 kids. Overall, good price and mostly good experience, so we'll probably stay there again.
Pluses: Location was great and room was clean. Kids LOVED the pool. Booking and check in were great. Felt safe on the property. Room was a good size for 1 adult & 3 kids. Channel selection on TV was good. Microwave was clean & worked great.
Negatives: No blow dryer in the room. Needed more towels (used ours the first day), but housekeeping said she didn't have enough & was waiting for some to be washed...never came back). Had to go to the main office to get ice, but not a big problem. Tub had a crack in it the manager claimed not to know about, but it had obviously been there for a while, so either the tub has NEVER been cleaned or they lied. Flooring right at the door was also buckling from what was probably water damage (could have been from Hurricane or flooding, but maybe the tub?).
- Verified traveler (6/5): - The location was perfect for where I wanted to stop on my way bk to Al..from Keys..
- Charles (2/5): Horrified - This hotel is a joke. Room was supposed to be ready at 3:00 pm. Arrived at 6:00 pm and room was not ready and filthy. Pubic hair all over the sheets along with several stains on sheets, pillows and bed spreads. Floor was covered in trash and dust all over the room. Food and trash on the floor. Went to front desk and expressed our opinion and were asked if we wanted a different room! We demanded a refund and the owner/manager put in for one for us. We have yet to receive that. Where the heck is it? We have pictures of this dump. I wouldn't recommend this crap hole to anyone. Spend the extra money and stay at Super8 at exit 116.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Fairy clean , provided soap no shampoo. Beds were comfortable. Wood floors a bit sandy. Good stay for the money.
- Spring (6/5): - It served the purpose of getting some sleep.
No amenities inside room.
- JOSEPH (4/5): Nice desk lady, but terrible cleanliness - Linoleum floor was dirty and made my feet black on bottom with grime.
Sheets had many stains I hoped they were bleached. Sheet had a area with what appeared to be stone wood off a boot and it was dirt not just a stain. Had to brush it off.
Slept in clothes as I didn't want to touch bed.
Took a long hit shower in the morning and had to put on socks and shoes as I got out of shower as the floors turned feet dirty in a matter of seconds.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - It was a Motel 6. They Left the light in for me. Nothing fancey and nothing horrible just a place to sleep.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Price good enough to overlook flaws for quick trip - The room was supposedly non smoking but wreaked of smoke.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - It was as expected! Good quality! Good customer service
- Cindy (4/5): - When we arrived no one was in the office so we had to wait. When we came back to room after lunch the key card wouldn't work. Apparently the system was down so maintenance had to let us in. Room appeared clean at first glance but after being in rm for a while we discovered otherwise. Comforters looked dirty, floor waa gross, and when u turned on lights in bathroom, baby roaches scattered. Will NOT be staying here again!!
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Very accommodating. We had a bad experience with another motel, arrived early, they cleaned our room so we could check in early.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - We were so happy to have a clean room to lay our heads down after 10 hour drive. Was a basic room but clean and served our purpose. Would return.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - We arrived at 4:50 p.m. and our room wasn't ready, come to find out later they only had 1 maid and she had to clean 34 rooms. The bath tub was extremely slow draining. Otherwise, the room was clean, but we did have 1dirty or stained bath towel. Conveniently located, lots of great restaurants very lose by.
- Rachel (4/5): - The floor felt sticky and it was just kind of run down looking overall. Their sign was put up sideways as well.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - it wasn't pleasant but it was quiet despite the surroundings
- Ryan (10/5): - Friendly and even though i didnt get here in time for check they held my room anyway
- Verified traveler (2/5): - The first room was fine until the ceiling started to leak. The concierge told me to talk to him in the morning (this happened at 11pm) and hung up on me. When I went to the office, he yelled at me. Then he cut me off and gave me another room. The 2nd room had no air conditioning. Again with the poor customer service and a 3rd room. The 3rd room was not clean, had pee on the toilet seat and the tub was filthy. Also missing hardware for the tub faucet. The 4th room elicited an apology with no working TV and a bed smaller than what I paid for. 3 hours later, I was able to get a LITTLE sleep. Some details were left out, but that's the gist of it.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Great location our room was good but large part of property was undergoing renovations
- Lopez (6/5): - Refrigerator very loud, dirty cleaning cloth left in the room. No tissues in room, water pressure was very good.
- Thomas (8/5): Heading south - Bit of a language barrier.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - It was ok . nothing to brag about. Needs bettet parking
- Karen (6/5): - This was a very basic hotel room. It was clean and the workers were polite. The bathroom could use a little work. The beds were terribly uncomfortable for me and my husband. We slept very little due to the lack of comfort. We stayed at this hotel one night while on a road trip. I could not have slept in the bed one more night.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - The room we were given at frist was unkept so we had to go to front desk and get another room an it was a two bed room one bed was unmade and no blanket or spread in room only sheets ,but the room was really clean...
- mark (4/5): time to dump - you know it is a bad room when the toilet is not even bolted to the floor and minimal cleaning done. i have been to bombay 25 years ago and i hate to say this , but these indian investors who buy motel 6 franchises believe that there lack of cleaning and repair will have no consequences what so ever. if you are an investor in motel 6 stock it,s time to dump , becouse the motel 6 brand doesn,t care period.
- Gabrielle (2/5): - This place was AWFUL. I mean, c'mon, we all know a Motel 6 is going to be pretty basic, but this place was disgusting. I specifically requested a non-smoking room - I was placed in a heavily smoked-in room. I had my 2 children with me, one of which has asthma. We got in late and there was no other room for us. There was a live cockroach on the HVAC unit right when we walked in, and a couple dead ones on the floor. The floors were filthy. The bathroom was filthy. The sheets had stains on them, and the blankets had burn marks on them. The place was so disgusting that I wouldn't let any of my family sleep directly on the sheets. I didn't dare unpack our stuff for fear of roaches getting in them. Left everything zipped and packed tight and off the floor. The beds were super uncomfortable. I think I slept maybe 2-3 hours the entire night because this place was so bad. To top it all off, there was no TV remote in the room (I guess someone stole it), and the TV was boxed in, so you can't reach any of the buttons on it. So we couldn't even try to relax with a little TV before trying to sleep. This is the WORST place I have ever stayed in my entire life. DO NOT GO HERE UNLESS YOU ENJOY STAYING IN DUMPSTER!!
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Housekeeping could be better. The floor was gritty, the refrigerator had not been cleaned out and the shower wasn’t turned completely off.
There was no electrical outlet in the bathroom or near the other mirror in the room.
- Scott (4/5): - Stayed here on two separate occasions. Both times asked for non smoking and got Smoking rooms. I had to complain the second time and got a different room and the third room smelled like smoke. Rooms were just unclean all over. Won’t be going back.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Room was clean. The fire alarm was sitting on a shelf with the battery removed.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - My room had so many roaches everywhere even in the bed. When i advised the staff he moved me to another room which had roaches but not as many as the prior room. Once they get they're pest issue resolved and really clean because they're spider webs and insects stuck in the web on every corner of the room as well as dead bugs in the corner on the floors this will be an alright place to stay.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Roches - If you like roaches, this is the place for you
- Timothy (8/5): - Nice people good area nice people place to stay the price is really good service was good Whitney sews good Place really nice
- ken (6/5): - Staff was very good, polite and helpful. ok place for just a sleep and go.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Man at front desk when i checked in was an ass will not stay here again
- Verified traveler (6/5): Typical Motel 6 - It’s a Motel 6....pretty much what you’d expect!
- Andy (6/5): - Chose this hotel based on some reviews but was but disappointed, even though it looks like some type of renovation was done within the last few years it’s only fair condition. We had a non smoking room but reeked of cigarettes, the toilet was unbolted from floor and and the last person to clean would have noticed without question, the newer tile and vinyl floor were dirty. But for $46 it wasn’t bad for one night.
- Amber (6/5): Poor - When we got there for check in the room was dirty it took two hrs to get the room fixed they had to change our room 3 different times before we finally got a room
- William (4/5): - We were traveling and arrived late and just wanted to get some shut eye.
The sheet had obviously not been changed and had hairs from a previous renter on them. The rest was fine but that was enough to make it feel dirty
- Denielle (8/5): - We were tired and on the road and this was just enough to get a decent sleep before heading back out.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - The place is very run down the ceiling was peeling apart the sheets smelled the bathroom needed work.
- Lee (10/5): - Very convent to interstate ,quiet , pleasant personnel. Especially important. Everything clean !!!
- John (10/5): no worries, good deal - no problems, good service, great price
- Anthony (8/5): No Service - The phone in my room did not work--no dial tone. The online number and the number snickered to the phone in the room was never answered. At check out, I was told the number was changed. That was frustrating because I called the number over 20 time in attempts to reach the staff.
