- Lisa (10/5): - We loved our stay! We spent 3 days hiking in Acadia and an afternoon exploring downtown Bar Harbor. It’s roughly 14 minutes to walk to the town green ( parking is difficult and $ downtown) but a very easy walk. We enjoyed breakfast at Cafe Thst Way and Jeanine’s Maine Breakfast, both good. Our room was spacious, TV worked great, ceiling fan and leaving the windows open all day worked great for our unseasonably warm end of September stay. The owner was very helpful with local suggestions and making it easy for our late check in! We would definitely stay again!

Everything looked as if we were the very first to stay in a brand new room, but we weren’t. Everything worked. Very comfortable and quiet. Beautifully landscaped outside. Walkable within 15 minutes to entire downtown Bar Harbor. Great stay!

Our room was very big, so we had lots of room, had a mini fridge, and everything you need. Although it isn’t fancy, and the furniture is a little older, everything was in great shape and super clean. It is about a 5 to 7 minute walk to get into the heart of town. Which worked out well for us. We enjoyed our stay there very much and would go back in the future.

The shower was safe with two handles for getting in and out of the tub. The motel is located down Main St but far enough away from all the noise and traffic. Easy to get around town. - Verified traveler (10/5): Amazing place to stay - My husband and I have never been to Bar Harbor. We went for four days where we stayed at this amazing hotel. The place was clean, nice well-maintained. The owners were so pleasant so friendly. Anything you asked for you had it? It was awesome. The only thing I would recommend is if you have an issue with stairs request the first floor there is no landing on the stairs as you go up to the second floor but overall could not ask for a better place. My husband and I have both said we will go back and stay there again it was

Parking was easy since the motel has their own parking. The area was quiet, but only a short walk to the Village Green, the Shore Path, restaurants and shops (and Island Explorer buses). Only a short drive to get into Acadia NP. Would stay here again.

Our hotel location was within walking distance of restaurants, bars, parks and the water front. Yet, it was just far enough away to enjoy some peace and quiet. The hotel room and grounds were lovely and so clean. The pool was a nice surprise and we took advantage of the cool, clean water and comfy lounge chairs. The location was just a short drive down the road from Acadia and all the trails and easy coastal access. The hotel front desk was very friendly and had great recommendations for dining options. We even left an item behind and they were kind enough to mail it back to us. I highly recommend staying here. Clean, quiet, affordable, accessible. Thanks for making our weekend so peaceful and relaxing.

- Eric (10/5): - Joy and her family own and operate the hotel. It is extremely well cared for, clean, comfortable, and convenient. It’s at the end of the main street for shops and restaurants, but it is separated from the “activity” of town by a city park. Best stay for the money in Bar Harbor.

- Greg (10/5): - Cromwell Harbor is the absolute perfect place to stay in Bar Harbor. It is a very quaint and cute motel tucked about a half mile out of downtown. The parking is very easy and the walk into downtown is even easier. There is even a creek next to the property. I would highly recommend!
