- Annette (1/5): Stay away..! - This is not a hotel. Extremely dirty and with addicts inside and outside. I felt so unsafe that I chose to leave. Hotel refused to refund me. Not at all a good experience. Personally I am done with using booking.com - this is not a hotel fit for tourists and the pictures have nothing to do with reality
- Mason (3/5): - the bed was to small the bed was not a queen bed toilet did not flush I want my money back TO
- Linda (2/5): We stayed in room 143 and I believe we are due a full refund! - Nothing Everything , disability rooms are to be safe comfortable place for those who are handicapped, the shower ceiling was falling , the shower had NO hot water and the legs on the shower chair where unsafe and bowed when sat upon…. There were burn holes in the sheets and curtains ….
- Roy (1/5): Just bad business - Just the location, it was smelly, linen was old and dingy looking, floors were old and dirty looking Above
- Nestor (2/5): The room smell like humidity - Nothing A/c
- Antonio (7/5): Good - The staff was great polite
- Nestor (3/5): Room smell like humidity - Nothing A/c
- Jennifer (5/5): Passable - The rooms were very clean The other guests were a bit scary. A man and woman tried to break into my son's room.
- Bob (7/5): Adequate for one night traveling thru. - Convenient location to a DC fast charger, and a good yard for our dog. Also able to park car just outside door to room. Needs renovation
- Carol (1/5): Thieves - It was quiet I picked up the room before I left. The hotel robbed me of my deposit with no explanation. I've messaged them through the app with no response. I will not do business with these thieves again.
- Olson (1/5): Bad -
- Deborah (10/5): Home 6 Motel - Housekeeping staff Tammy come help me unload 12 suitcases and greeted me. Extra towels and met my cat.
Morning she had coffee ready! ☕
Room new drapes and mattress.
Still had smell of new. 1. Bathroom sink cabinet is old needs to be replaced.
2. Shower molding needs repair. 3. no shower curtain so damaged
4. No handicap rails
- Steven (3/5): Poor - AC unit and door leak air, making it cold inside at night. Toilet too low to the ground. Sink hot water barely passes any water. Staff did not bring towels until asked, then just dropped them on the bed.
- Isaiah (10/5): - Not bejng bothered
- Michlle (1/5): Bad - Nothing horrible place Bed bugs
- Robert (3/5): Motel 6 isn't what it used to be - the staff was nice for sure Cockroaches galore from the second I walked in the room. I was in an adjoining room that the lock was busted on so they had an end table against my door holding it shut. At any time the people in the next room could have just came in my room. I stayed there Sun-Thurs on Friday and Saturday the rate raises by $20 for what reason I don't know there were over 40 empty rooms that I could see. The vending machines didn't work but that's neither here nor there.
- Demetrice (3/5): Not pleasant at all. - Bathroom ceiling was exposed and open with a whole in the shower, it had bugs in the room and wasn’t cleaned properly thruout.
- Antonio (7/5): Good -
- William (3/5): The staff was friendly the room was not. - I did not eat there. After watching cockroaches in my bathroom and having to clean the shower before I used it, I just wanted to leave the room as quickly as possible when I woke and drive to McDonald’s. The bathroom door hinges were broken couldn’t close the door. I didn’t appreciate the cockroaches In the bathroom and I felt a bug in my bed in the middle of the night But I don’t think it was a bedbug. I think it was a cockroach. I was too tired to get up and see. The shower was dirty.
- Samrie (1/5): Price was OK, but it might cost me more for these spider bites. - No breakfast The next day I had over nine spider bites over my body. They are passes ,swollen and red. I will be going to doctor for treatment.
- Patti (10/5): - Everyone who worked at the property were very nice and really tried to please
- Marilyn (7/5): Good -
- William (1/5): Biohazard. - On top of bad service and prices that were higher than advertised, I received some sort of mold poisoning from the property. After looking at the reviews, many other visitors had varying breathing and allergy issues that ‘stopped after leaving’. Mine did not stop and I was very ill for days after. For reference I was perfectly healthy going in. I only stayed for the night because my wife needed the sleep.
I have stayed at other motel 6s and probably will continue to do so, this location is just a bad one off.
- Borr (1/5): Bad - Bathroom had broken pipe leaked ll over floor constantly. Never received roomservice week there, when asked for clean towels and trash bags housekeepers acting very rudely just bad experience never again
- Antwain (1/5): Bad - Bed had wet pee stains Bed was hard
- Karen (5/5): it was ok - it was ok air conditioner had one fan speed, hot in room
- Wanda (4/5): - I realize that Motel 6 is a very basic chain but most that I have stayed in are clean and not in disrepair. But this room was missing the bedside lamps that all motels/hotels have even though the holes were there. The shower hadn’t been cleaned in a while and there was hair in the drain and along the edge. Also the WIFI was iffy at best.
The back of the property had boarded up windows. I did not feel safe there. I cannot recommend.
- Shanae (10/5): Exceptional -
- Daniel (1/5): Didn't stay - Nothing By the time I arrived my room wasn't even cleaned so I left
- Calvin (10/5): Exceptional - The location is great 10 minutes from everything There was no breakfast or a place to cook real food
- Fabriciano (2/5): - Will not stay there again. People knocking in the middle of the night asking for drugs
- Thomas (8/5): Very good -
- Willis (4/5): Disappointing -
- James (7/5): I was very tired. It was cheap. Slept good. - Pillow was great. Bed ok. Bathroom great. It had new remodeling. Towels weren’t white. Looked almost used.
- Terry (7/5): Good enough for work or an emergency wouldn’t take the family there - Price was ok other than that it’s a motel 6 a place to shower , sleep and sh Old and sketchy
- Terry (10/5): Everything was fine enough we would stay there again if we are Topeka Ks - Staff was very helpful we like that there was no charge for our dog’s N/A
- Michael (5/5): Passable -
- Jennifer (4/5): - Needs lots of tlc. Very run down. I would not stay here again. The office staff was very nice.
- Sharon (8/5): - No comments
- Larisa (8/5): Very good -
- Vivian (2/5): - We had to argue with the staff just to get extra towels because we had only two towels in a room for four. The continental breakfast had no napkins no paper towels ran out Waffle mix had to ask them for waffle mix which they were hesitant to give us, The staff was not friendly at all. The rooms were not clean, found trash behind the Mattress on the bed , will say the sheets were clean was not a pleasant experience for the family.
- Melissa (10/5): Overnight in Topeka - Motel 6 Topeka wasn't bad for an overnight stay. The front desk clerk was friendly and accomodated our needs traveling with an elderly dog. The room was a little worn down but clean. They allow pets for free which is a perk and they have areas for the pets to go outside. The area itself isn't too bad, right off of I70. Overall not a bad place for an overnight stay
- Smith (10/5): Exceptional -
- dejuan (10/5): - It was cool
- Tami (6/5): - under construction. no bedside lamps.
- Stephen (8/5): Good value. - The room was small but fine for a solo. Clean and modern. Included a microwave & refrigerator, but no coffee maker. They could have provided complimentary paper cups and single serve instant coffee. We all know how to make coffee in the microwave. I really liked the shower. Also, no electric outlet near the desk for my laptop, so I unplugged the microwave and used that outlet.
- Scenic31318311414 (10/5): Great - This motel exceeded my expectations with its impeccably clean rooms, showcasing a dedication to cleanliness that's truly commendable. Each corner exuded freshness making for a truly inviting and comfortable stay.
- Christopher (8/5): Very good -
- Danny (6/5): Pleasant -
- Douglas (3/5): You get what you pay for, even if it is more than they should charge. - Check-in and check-out: The employees were really nice and friendly. I appreciate being greeted in such a way, and I appreciate this! The hotel is really run down. The back building seems to be falling down (but not being used). Was yelled at by another guest for walking my dog. It appeared he has been staying at the hotel for a while and appeared to be on drugs. Was not a fun experience after checking in to be yelled at. Felt threatened and not safe. Stayed in the room, with door locked, as much as possible.
- Felix (9/5): Superb -
- Justin (3/5): Wouldn’t stay here again - It was ok. The room was decent for the 76.00 we paid for it. There wash trash all over the court yard and cigarette butts. The curtains, and bed spreads both had holes burned in them. The shower looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in a month of Sundays. I wouldn’t stay here again . Also they called me 3 times to make sure I was still coming. One at 7 am , then about 1:30 and then at 7 pm think they don’t need to call me if I don’t show up that’s on me
- Donna (1/5): This dump makes it in the top 3 worst places. - Absolutely nothing The actual building was in awful condition. The grounds outside were littered with trash and dog poop. The pool was half filled with broken concrete chunks. There were no lamps installed by the beds.
- Mindy (6/5): - Noisy no shower pressure
- Genadixon (8/5): Very good - The shower was a bit small
- Ritz (5/5): Passable - Very nice and welcoming staff The front door of the room needed a seal around the door because you could see light and the cold air was blowing through
- Natasha (8/5): Very good -
- Nicolasa (10/5): Very friendly staff. Very happy we were able to get a conjoined room for my family. - Did not go to breakfast. The location was in an ok part of town more business's than anything. Wish the room was larger
- Shelby (8/5): Very good -
- Douglas (10/5): It was quite, comfortable, clean, and cost effective. - I appreciated the Housekeeping Staff, they were kind and friendly and very helpful with my hotel personal needs. My stay was wonderful - no complaints at all.
- Adrienne (4/5): - Charged again when prepaid
- David (7/5): I wanted just a inexpensive place to stay and be on my wat. - No breakfast, just coffee. Shower was awkward. The price was $30.00 more than on the website... at least as I read it.
- Jeffrey (1/5): It was wheelchair accessible and that's what I needed and their was nothing else good to say. -
- Mindy (1/5): Stressing - It was ground level My toilet was unattached from the wall I was put in a smoking room n it was super small not handicap accessible as I asked n I checked out a day early n couldn’t be reimbursed
- Ladonna (9/5): Superb - no breakfast Booo!!! Need a Lamp by bed not just overhead light!
- Vonthaer (9/5): I would definitely stay there next time I need hotel. - Location was great. My three year old was with me and felt really safe even having her there. The front desk service was awesome. The gal was very friendly and helpful.
- Thomas (6/5): You Get What You Pay For - You get what you pay for. Just thankful my truck didn’t get broke into (homeless and crooks all over Topeka). Just needed a place to crash for the night. No bugs, AC was okay, was quiet.
- Kathleen (7/5): Good -
- Dolores (2/5): - Too many people actually living in this motel! Says it all!
- Verified traveler (10/5): Topeka M6 - The hotel is located conveniently off of I70. The front desk staff was friendly and accomodating. I requested a ground level room for our elderly dog and they were more than willing to assist us. The room itself was updated and clean. Overall decent place for an overnight stay with pets.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Free pet stay - This facility is very run down. It is not like the picture at all. The workers are very friendly and go out of the way to please however which makes it nice. The rooms are terribly small - they have done some updates to the bathroom which is quite nice. Our refrigerator was filthy - like raw meat had dripped down on the inside. Pillows were marginal and we had to ask for more which were promptly and politely given. However, the outside is disgusting - Pool is closed and they have old bricks thrown in; some bricks were tossed outside the pool just laying on the walkway. Weeds every where. They accept pets which is such a nice plus at no charge. For that reason alone, I like to stay there as so many motels are charging up to $25 a night per pet. (we have 2 pets) No doggie poop bags on premise although there is a spot for them it was empty which led too much pooh laying around the property. Just a general clean up/cleanliness would have gone a long ways. Nice area though - safe and lots to do - went to zoo and lovely park with train ride/ dog parks
- Wayne (5/5): Passable - Bed No hot water at all even after the maintenance came, no room for the wheel chair or grab bars in bathroom
- Christina (5/5): Passable - no breakfast
- Jennifer (6/5): - We got the (non smoking) room that smelled like someone had smoked in there for 20 years. Also the smoke detector was wrapped in plastic and we also got the blanket with the cigarette burn in it (previously mention in another review). There were so many flies in the room and the towels we used on the bathroom floor after our showers looked like walked through mud. A good mop on the floors would be a good idea. Oh, and the light in the shower stall didn’t come on until the next day and it was basically a strobe light. The toilet ran the entire time we were there. I tried to fix it myself but it had a strange industrial contraption in it so I left it alone
- Diane (6/5): Pleasant -
- Garylee (1/5): Bad -
- Jason (1/5): Bad -
- John (3/5): Poor -
- Joseph (1/5): Bad - Room had cockroaches and ants in it. The sheets and bedspread we're stained and nasty looking
- James (7/5): Good -
- Keith (8/5): Very good -
- Matt (4/5): - My room was not available and the air did not work so they tried to move me to a new room but the bedding was discusting looking. We just went back home unstead of staying.
- Kevin (8/5): Very good -
- Hdcole1974 (9/5): Superb -
- Jennifer (8/5): - The in-room accommodations were not too bad. The sand and dirt from outside the room followed us in and ended up gathering on the floor. No way to not drag it in. We ended up having to wear shoes the entire time.
The air conditioning wasn’t working that great.
The light in the bathroom was loud with the vent and there was no way to only do a light without the loud vent.
The check in person was lovely and friendly.
- Matthew e (8/5): - I was able to get a good night's sleep
- Joan (4/5): - I did not feel safe at all. There were several boarded up windows and damaged doors. I am in my late 60's and was traveling alone. This was a horrible experience. I did take pictures if you want them for proof or reference.
- Chestnut (10/5): Exceptional - The bathroom was awesome and the bedroom had 2 night stands. Housekeeping was very attentive I liked it all.. it was a great getaway.
