Sapana (7/5): Overall it was a nice stay. - It was clean. The water in the shower was not that hot and the water pressure was low.
Ernst (3/5): Honestly... - The staff was friendly and gave us extra blankets. i didn't see bugs of any kind or mice, it was cheap and close to the place we were visiting. The microwave and fridge were clean, the sheets appeared to be clean. The TV worked and the temperature in the room was good and worked properly. Outlets and lights worked, toilet worked properly and water turned on to wash face. Water pressure was good. Locks worked. Didn't feel unsafe. Well.. cob webs on the curtain,there were large mystery spots all above the bed on the wall, the floors were sticky in some areas, dust and cobwebs in all the corners and under the bed there was a huge hair ball. The chair cushions were sticky and there was dust and crumbs in the cracks. We didnt feel comfortable touching the walls and surfaces. The toilet bowl was gross inside, there were lots of cobwebs in the bathroom, mold in the grout in the shower, the shower curtain looked unclean, brown mystery stains directly across from the toilet, a decent size moldy hole in the ceiling above the toilet, a missing tile in the shower. Honestly, my daughter wanted to sleep in the car. There was some yelling outside our door in the middle of the night my family heard. I slept through it. There was no soap. Idk, maybe thats normal for a motel? Glad i brought hand sanitizer..
Tara (8/5): I had a quiet peaceful room but had to wear socks to walk around in and couldn’t bathe - It was quiet and bed was clean and comfortable The floor in my room 115 was dirty . You could not tell by looking at it but walking on it in bare feet made my feet black and the bath tub looked dirty which deterred me from taking a shower .

Levar (1/5): Not a Great Tome - Nothing at all, this was the worst experience ever. For starters I go here all the time, but never have I felt more like I want my money back. The walls in the bathroom had holes. The HDMI port was broken, the did not have a comforter on the bed, and we found roaches in the restroom right before we left. I would like a refund, this was a terrible stay.

Knight (8/5): I am transitioning from out of town and moving here permanently and I everyone here was very helpful and understanding i - I felt safe!! Security cameras were everywhere in different areas of the building. The Motel is close to public transportation and places to eat. The rooms were in satisfactory condition and I appreciated the notices about housekeeping. Overall, the staff that we did come across were very respectful and always smiled. I would book here again. I really don’t have anything negative to say about the property.
Culture14011925989 (8/5): Starting a new life here!! - My family and I really enjoyed our stay here at the Motel 6. When we first arrived we were an hour early for check in, but the staff did their best to accommodate us. I felt bad that they were short staff, but you would not have known with how everyone worked together to make sure things ran efficiently. I respect that they had notices and gave information about how housekeeping was going to operate during our stay and we were okay with that. We had two rooms and they were great, no problems and we had everything we needed and all appliances and electronics were all in working order. I loved how the Motel had cameras, especially in corners, so that made my family and I feel safe when wandering around the site even at night. We were without a car, so the hotel is conveniently close to the public transit stop and to the Market. There were also plenty of food places right in our area which helped a great deal, some within walking distances and at other times we Door Dashed and the food was here in under 30minutes. I would bidded stay here again. They made moving to a new state, very comfortable and pleasant!! 4 Stars for me!!!

P5295DHdaniellet (2/5): NO - Not only did the heat not work in our room, the lock didn't work thenext day (that's fun loading the car in 10o weather with the door propped open!) We were given ONE towel for our 4-person room; luckily we brought a beach towel for dog paws, so we could both actually shower and not freeze to death. Nobody answered the line at the front desk, and trying to finagle dog and an uber sick fiance, loading/unloading onto their second floor middle unit, we had zero motivation to try and move to another spot or hotel at 11pm at night. NOW we're dealing with this place charging us TWICE, and the phone lines listed don't go anywhere. This place is a disgusting sham

Iris (4/5): You Get What You Pay For - Easy to find location and reasonably priced. The second night, my room was pretty quiet. I would recommend that you ask for a room away from the Interstate, if you decide to stay there. The bed was comfortable. The first night, I was in a room on the end closer to the main highway and heard significant road noise all night unless I ran the fan. The first room also had a distinct odor to it and needed more cleaning, so I asked for a different room the next night. The floors in both rooms could have been cleaner.

Very basic room, basic bed and bath. The shower needed a deep cleaning, and the tub and tiles are overdue to be replaced.

They would not change my room but did offer a slight discount. Luckily I survived... I am not sure how any MOTEL 6 chain could operate at such a low standard. Sad and frustrating.

Asked for refund we got refunded for 2 rooms but nothing for the third room since I booked through Expedia. Was told to reach out to Expedia and I did and still have not heard anything back nor a refund.

The desk gave me a near empty spray can for the flies. I slept with my clothes on and the dog on the bed with all coverings pull down. Horrible place and I threaten call the county health authorities. Please do not refer any one to this place.

Light switches didn’t work, the smoke detector was falling out of the wall, and the room door was hanging off the hinges. I had to pick it up to get the deadbolt to engage. There were flies buzzing around the room when I walked in. The AC unit barely worked set to 60, and it made a loud clicking noise that kept me up all night.

Desiree (2/5): - I am not one to complain and I rarely leave reviews, but I think it's important to warm others. This hotel was one of the dirtiest I have ever stayed in. The sheets, pillows, and towels were all covered with hair. I could not sleep in the bed and had to lay down my own clothes over the top sheet to sleep. The hallway to my room had the lights broken and beer cans in the hallway, which made it feel very unsafe. There was also a damp unpleasant odor coming from the ceiling. I would not return.

roblewis353 (2/5): Disgusting place. From the office to the room, I’ve stayed in hellholes in Third World countries better than this. - Piles of “stuff” in the office gave the first clue. The desk clerk even had to dig through a mountain of debris to find a room key. The hall to get to the room looked like it had never been vacuumed….trash all over the floor. The bed didn’t even come with a blanket. The bedspread was disgusting and the sheets looked like they had not been changed since the previous guest. There was a big hole in a black plywood box where a smallish television had been installed. It goes on. How this place is still in business is a mystery.
Scott (2/5): Dump or Hotel? - Place was a dump. Took forever to check in. After checking in the person behind the front desk has to give you a blanket for you to use. Then has to “check your room” probably to see if it’s “clean enough”. I also got a non smoking room and it smelled like 100 people smoked cigarettes before we got in there. The air conditioner didn’t work and was extremely dirty. System looked like it was going to fall off the wall. Floor was never swept. Worst part the door didn’t latch the full way. I didn’t even even stay the night I left and just drive home didn’t get home till 2am but was way better than staying at this dump.

First room was filled with flies. They were all over the bathroom mirror. Also, the bathroom lights did not work and there was no toilet paper. Second room was marginally better but the AC didn’t work. They did offer me a fan though. I declined. Third room was the winner. Still had flies, but nothing a hand towel turned into fly swatter couldn’t contend with. Plus, front desk staff told me I wanted to be in this front building as this was the safest. Gulp. This is an old, very dated Motel 6. Looks as though they are renovating a little at a time. You will be able to count the springs in the mattress. FYI…People are living here. But as the saying goes, you get what you pay for. Under $70 and pets stay free.

Gerald (1/5): Not coming back. - No breakfast - too many flies - floor filthy - bath dirty Fridge and microwave sitting on floor. Fridge causing milk to freeze solid. ROOM 117 - Fridge leaking water on floor. T.V. surround well get some one to look at it. The only thing any good was the shower. - card keys to door don't work if you put them next to mobile phone or credit cards. It took me a week to find this out from the receptionist. Cleaners are inept. Need proper training. Bedding had cigarette burns. I would love to meet the people of your company. You have a total lack of communication in your hierarchy. In a word EVERYTHING

Joanie (8/5): - Room was nice and large. Air conditioner works well. Lights didnt work correctly. Floor was swept but not washed, it was black dirty when we wiped up a minor water spill. Beds were very comfortable. Desk person was very kind, friendly and quickly fixed what he was able. I dont think the surrounding area was real welcoming, but we had no problems with noise or people in the area. They dont have breakfast. Great price!!

Richard J (10/5): A great budget-friendly option! - I was very happy with my stay at Motel 6. The price was fantastic, and the room was clean and comfortable. The staff was friendly and helpful, and everything worked as it should. If you’re looking for a simple, no-frills place to stay that won’t break the bank, this is an excellent choice. I would definitely stay here again.

L Elaine (8/5): Clean and secure. Will definitely stay again. - Security was good. The access doors remained locked and the room locks were solid. The room was very clean: tub, toilet and sink were all literally spotless. I loved the luxury vinyl plank flooring, and it also was clean. It felt clean underfoot and when I wiped up spilled water with the white terrycloth floor mat, it came up clean. The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 on cleanliness was because when I arrived there was a lot of garbage outside but the next day they cleaned all that up. Sidewalks outside of the rooms also could use a good power washing; I wondered what all those accumulated spills had been. The stairwell had a bad smell, but who cares when the room is clean. The bed was comfortable. The TV had a bunch of channels. Motel 6 is a no-frills operation: no fridge, no microwave, no iron, no closet, not one hanger, no shampoo or conditioner or lotion, and all the furniture is bolted to the wall. But for the price, I will definitely stay there again next time I'm in the area. Secure and clean are top priorities in my book and Motel 6 Youngstown does a good job with that. Staff was friendly and professional too.
