Do quarto, apesar de ser espaçoso ,era um quarto triplo familiar, não era fresco, o ar condicionado era só ventilador e não chegava para arrefecer o quarto. A janela dava para um espaço comum por isso não se tinha privacidade se ela estivesse aberta, ou com as portadas abertas

Esta muy dejado.Olor a humedad en los bajos, baños viejos y la ropa de cama antigua ( sabanas y mantas un poco deterioradas) no desayunamos pero no cumplio nuestras expectativas como hotel de **** H ni mucho menos, el personal amable, pero un poco viejo el hotel , no volveria

• Luis (8/5): Uma boa estadia. - Hotel bonito e acolhedor de estilo clássico. Pequeno almoço bastante bom. Estacionamento gratuito no parque de estacionamento do hotel. Quarto espaçoso e confortável com varanda com vista para as muralhas da fortaleza de Elvas. Infelizmente a casa de banho ficou com cheiro de esgoto. A porta da casa de banho teve que ficar fechada para atenuar o cheiro e evitar que alastrasse pelo quarto. Mesmo assim, ficou um ligeiro cheiro no quarto.

• James (7/5): - The staff were nice and room spacious and clean We asked for an internal room but didn't expect that the only window overlooked a sitting room instead of an internal patio, we therefore had to close the window, as people were using the sitting room, and we had to put the air-conditioning, which did not function properly and was too noisy. In addition, the cups in the bathroom were not in a closed plastic, as is normal, so we didn't know if they had been used.
• Annelie (7/5): - Gefallen hat uns das super Frühstück und der wunderschöne Aussenplatz unter Orangenbäumen!Das Hotel ist ein altes Militärhospital aus dem 16 Jahrhundert, das aber sehr liebevoll renoviert wurde. Es ist sehr verwinkelt, was an seinem Charme nichts Wir hatten ein Zimmer unterm Dach mit grosser Loggia, die wir leider wegen starkem Wind und Regen nicht nutzen konnten. Hier oben hat man aber bei der Renovierung der Zimmer die Isolation zwischen den Zimmern vergessen, weshalb man jedes Wort von nebenan verstanden hat. Leider konnten wir die Aussenanlagenl wegen des schlechten Wetters nicht nutzen. Alles in Allem hat es uns sehr gut gefallen. Siehe oben

• Diane (7/5): Think twice about getting an interior room - The location was perfect.very walkable. The outside courtyard nice, plenty of shade and tables. The terrace area was also nice. The breakfast had a good assortment of food. We did not like our room, 307, which is an interior room, no windows. The air-conditioning did not work, it barely produced any cool air!. There is a window but it opens out to the interior hallway, not helpful when you need to get fresh air into the room. Our friends had room 324, also an interior room. They said their air-conditioning worked a little better than ours, but not much. I was told the hotel was full so we couldn't get another room. Luckily we had brought a Fan . Without that fan we would not have been able to stay.

Thé/café dans une machine self service dont certaines fonctions ne fonctionnaient pas. Nous avions une chambre intérieure, dont ma fenêtre donnait sur un salon...habité par un pigeon ! Une couverture suspecte sur le lit...

O espaço interior e exterior é agradável. O staff é simpático. Podia ter mais variedade. Sumos melhores. O pão podia também ser melhor tendo em conta que estão no Alentejo. Algumas compotas locais, também seriam apreciadas.

• Daniel (3/5): Room was very subpar, stuffy and warm, air-conditioning didn't work - Hotel staff were friendly when faced with challenges (see negatives), and tried to help as much as they could. Hotel facilities can be charming, given the old school nature of the building. Hotel is located right by the entrance of the old town. Air conditioning in the rooms was just not working. Very small air output, and the air was room temperature. Nature of the building makes it so that the rooms are warmer than the hallways, so when it's hot outside, the rooms get very stuffy. Talked to the front desk repeatedly, until they switched us to new rooms at 9pm at night. New rooms also didn't have working air conditioning, but at that point we just decided to open the windows and hope for a chill night. Rooms were fairly stuffy and damp, creaky floors, etc. Generally not a place I'd like to have stayed more than the 1 night, and even then it was the least comfortable hotel in our trip.

• Norbert (9/5): Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt - Das Hotel hat eine tolle Lage am Rande der Stadtmauer. Sehr schöne Außenanlage mit Pool, Liegewiese etc. Das Frühstück war war gut und ausreichend. Das Zimmer hatte eine großzügige Terrasse mit schöner Aussicht. Das Personal war sehr freundlich. Checkout ist großzügig bis 12: 00 Uhr

• Jackie (8/5): - We had a superior twin room with a terrace overlooking the garden. Parking was easy and the hotel is only a short walk to the town centre. We loved having breakfast in the walled garden. Despite my comments below it remains good value and a decent place to stay in Elvas. A superior room should be just that! Unfortunately the airco did not work and an electric fan only moved the hot air. It would be awful in summer. The curtains were frayed at the edges and missing hooks. Walls are thin and there was a lot of traffic in the corridor outside into the early hours. The shower is over the bath with the toilet and bidet positioned close in front making it difficult to get in and out of the bath for a shower and no grab rails to help. A little bit of time and money should be invested in maintaining the rooms.

• Nuno (8/5): Positiva, apesar de tudo - O aspecto senhorial do hotel e a planta fora do comum, percorri os corredores do hotel, para conhecer os recantos, o que não é habitual em hoteis cujos corredores sejam lineares e previsíveis. Quarto espaçoso e WC grande A sanita encostada a um canto, colada à parede, não é o ideal. Cheiro intenso e constante vindo do WC. A humidade presente nas paredes e tecto, que faziam inclusive cair lascas de tinta no chão do quarto. Ausência de sala de jogos

• Stephanie (8/5): The bedroom was large and comfortable. It was nice to have a balcony too. - It was central and was a historic building. Because it is a historic building it has the usual problems with a bad smell from the bathroom.

• Raquel (4/5): Para um Hotel de 4 estrelas tem muito pouco - O espaço é interessante por ser um antigo convento. Não tinham disponível o ar condicionado para arrefecimento dos quartos. Como as temperaturas exteriores estavam muito altas, o quarto ficava um forno e nem uma janela para o exterior tinha para arejar. Á noite não se conseguia respirar lá dentro, não conseguiamos dormir, de tal forma que tivemos de antecipar a saída. O pequeno almoço muito, muito básico, sem grande qualidade.
