• Maman (10/5): - The value was very good for the long weekend the place was. The room were big and great shower. We were on our way home on the long weekend traffic was bad and we decided to stop there for one night for last minute decision it was a great location.

• James (9/5): We were very happy with our stay. - Very clean. Very close to MacDonalds. Quite close to large mall with restaurants, thrift store and ice cream (dairy) store. It had something for coffee but could have had a standard coffee maker. Another tenant had a refrigerator truck. You could hear the refrigeration unit making noise as it came on a few times every hour during the night.

• Pamylla (8/5): We would return conveint for where we visit - Our room was fine and we one issue that we directed to Tina Wash basin for bathroom in main room would have liked a bath mat for stepping into to spa tub or a couple wall mounted supports. Pretty slippy getting in and out

• Catherine (9/5): Way above expectations - Way above expectations! Room was very clean and comfortable. The TV actually worked and it was easy to figure out how to change channels. That's a first for me. Thank you Lotus! Only stayed 1 night. No complaints at all.

• Stephen (8/5): Very affordable, clean and comfortable room - Clean, nice beds, quiet, very reasonable price. McDonald's, wendies, tim Hortons right beside the motel. Very close to shopping. Needs 1 extra night table

• Jamal (9/5): Reasonably priced, clean, friendly, meets or exceeds expectations, highly recommended. - Large, clean rooms and bathrooms, friendly, welcoming service, early check-in on request, very convenient, easy-to-get-to location (just south of the 401 east of Toronto), just across the street from a conservation area (park), reasonable rates and a Tim Hortons 2 minutes away! Lotus motel scores high on all these criteria. If you’re heading through Toronto to points east, this is the place to stop for a break or an overnight stop. It’s also in the gateway to vacation country; an hour east of Toronto, Lake Ontario minutes away in the south and Rice Lake cottage country to the north. Lotus Motel scores 5 out of 5 stars all around. Very highly recommended. Met our expectations.

• Maria (10/5): I would stay here again in a heartbeat - The room was spotlessly clean. The bedding smelled fresh. I love the pillow so much that I have purchased one from Costco. It is also right beside McDonald’s so a very convenient breakfast.

• Andrew (Drew) (8/5): The little Motel that could. - Location. Plus I chose the jacuzzi suite as a treat for myself. Great access to two nearby restaurants. I think for a room this size they could add a work space. Might be more practical than the dresser. Then again, I know the target audience for this suite is couples and not passing business travellers. A pity that Cobourg has made both its public transit and taxi fleet a thing of the past. You'd better have a car here.
• Kathryn (7/5): Perfect for our needs! - I LOVE motels bc my husband is on dialysis and therefore there is a lot of equipment to haul in to the room. With a motel we back right up to the door! The beds were comfy and most importantly the room was very clean though basic. Good if you just need a place to sleep before getting back in the road. Totally expected simple amenities and that’s was there is. Instant coffee vs a coffee maker (why I travel with my Areopress system). Shampoo only (no conditioner or body cream). All good with us as we bring our own…don’t use the tv. There is a bar fridge, again we have a plug in cooler. This is just so other travellers know what to expect vs a complaint! However…there were only two smallish towels for showering! Though I’m sure I could have requested more, I didn’t notice till I got out of the shower LOL

• Deborah (8/5): Good value for travellers needing a place to sleep. - We needed a place to sleep. Everything was clean, good mattress, good and safe location. Quiet. Complementary coffee was premixed with sugar and whitener but motel is right next door to MacDonalds and Tim Hortons so not an issue. A very minor issue.

• john (6/5): Good. - TV controls a complete mystery - needed another guest to go through the labyrinth process. The microwave also had immense curiosities like seconds and minutes. Very weird. The grounds are being renovated - good - but needs landscaping, maybe next spring?

• Kyria (6/5): Pleasant - I was on foot, and it was easy enough to walk to the grocery store after arriving. My room had a jacuzzi tub, which I did not get around to using, but would have liked to. The room itself was quite large and comfortable and had a microwave and fridge. It looks like a lot of rooms in this place are rented by the week or month. Nobody bothered me, but there were a lot of people just hanging around, which is a little disconcerting. Also, this place is not super close to the downtown area, so if you are on foot, it would be a bit of a haul.

• Lindsay (10/5): Great price, great location, great staff. - We were in town for the weekend for a wedding nearby. It's in a great location, easy access to the city center or the highway. The room we stayed in had recently been updated and was very clean. Plenty of towels and complimentary toiletries. Miss Tina at the front desk was incredibly friendly and helpful, making sure we were set up with a great taxi service to get back and forth to the venue. Great value for everything you need in a great location.
• Andrea (7/5): Good - Staff was extremely nice and helpful. Grounds are pleasant. The room was actually two rooms with the second room being a large (for a motel) full kitchen with a dining table. The hotel was convenient to restaurants and a large strip mall with a good grocery store. The bed was comfortable and large. The air conditioning was underpowered for the size of the room. A few more power outlets would've been helpful.

More than fair accommodation prices, facilities, the rooms were clean and quite comfortable. Best Western the night before came in 2nd to this venue. Very personable owner.

There were no hangers or suitcase rack. Perhaps someone forgot to put them back in the room after painting?
