• Kellie (8/5): Comfortable and clean self contained apartments, shops close by to purchase groceries - Accomm close to family and grocery store so we could prepare our own breakfast each morning. Rooms were large enough. Kitchen had all you would require for self contained eg sufficient number of glasses, cups, crockery and cutlery, pots, pans Bathroom - all in working order Beds used were both very comfortable. Owner/manager who communicated prior to arrival was fantastic and we had a room at rear of complex as requested (earlier reviews said noisy highway at front of premises) Bathroom - a little difficult for elderly to climb into spa bath to have a shower. On highway - perhaps invest in double glazing or council could put up fencing along the highway to deflect noise (especially trucks using air brakes! as they approach lights)

• Neil (7/5): - Location was perfect for our stay on the way to Airlie Beach. Meals at the Hotel were excellent and very close to the motel. We could hear noise all during the night. Seems like work going on next to the motel. Made it very hard to get a good nights sleep. There was a smell of sewerage in our room as well.

• Allison (6/5): Good for one night. - The property was a good stop for one night as we travelled through to Brisbane. A bit old and outdated. Curtains did not cover window fully. Couch was not clean.

• Paige (9/5): - The lady who checked in my partner and I was absolutely lovely. We turned up with our 8 month old daughter and my partners older daughter, a few hours before the usual check in time just to see if we could check in early, as we had a lot of stuff in the car including cold items. Thankfully we were able to. The lady that helped us was so friendly and I’m bummed I forgot her name. She was so welcoming and understanding while checking us in. We will 100% stay there again. The remote for the aircon upstairs wasn’t the right remote as it wasn’t even the same brand, so we had to use the downstairs A/C remote for both.

• Stacey (8/5): - We were travelling, so the location and facilities were excellent for an overnighter. Short wander to the adjoining pub for dinner was welcomed after a long driving day. Water pressure and temperature was great. Beds super comfortable. Respectfully the front doors were not a soft close, meaning everyone including us sounded like we were slamming doors when coming and going. You could park vehicles just out the front in the convenient covered parking. This noise also travelled badly when people including us retrieved goods from vehicles. Saying all that if you are a light sleeper, this will effect you until everyone is settled but then expect to wake early.

• garth (1/5): Do not stay very disappointing not worth the money - The hotel was in a good loaction for walking distance to a lot of take away and bakery,Drakes,Dan Murphys,chemist and a lot more. Room was not the one advertised or the price. The price went up $20 when booking. The toilet wouldn't flush down poo properly you had to wait 3 times for it to fill up so you could flush. Light above bed kept going on and off all night,only realised at 5am that there was water leaking from the aircon into the power switch.Went to let them know about the aircon when we left at 8.30 but no staff till 9.30. The food at the tavern was horrible the woodfire pizza base was not cooked properly and doughy,found the chef and staff to be very rude.

• Brett1972 (7/5): Nice place, but avoid booking when the soccer team is staying. - Nice rooms, comfy beds, taken has good food. Unfortunately we stayed the same night as a soccer group were staying. The group were partying on to around 3am, so little sleep was had.
• Kayla (7/5): Walking distance to everything you need. - Close to everything, good price. Staff are lovely. A bit of riff raff around, had a man walk into my apartment while I was standing outside, who proceeded to shut the door and lock me out. (Wrong room/drunk.. million excuses)

• Des (4/5): Poor - Not much, the fridge had no freezer and no way to turn the temperature down, the fridge did not keep our goods cold. As above, the room was very dated and well over priced for what you received, we will never stay here again.

• Ingrid (8/5): The location and facilities are all excellent and we always enjoy our stays here. - The location was very convenient and having the Tavern so close with meals available was a big bonus. We always get the same room because it has two single beds, and I wonder if there are any other rooms with 2 single beds, but we like that we know what we get when we arrive. So like the room very much now. The mattresses ( single ) sink right down on the edges and are really soft for sleeping. but we do get a good sleep anyway. But felt like we would slip off mattress when sitting on the edge of the bed.
