Guest Reviews
- Verified traveler (8/5): Urban B&B close to the falls - A pleasant B&B with basic facilities adequate for a brief stay. The ace held by this B&B is that it is within walking distance of the viewpoints for the American Falls and the Horseshoe Falls. There is a very large car park near the falls but it is nearly as far to walk from the car park and it isn't free!
The B&B is near the Rainbow Bridge border crossing and is minutes away from the highway to Toronto.
- Vishal (8/5): Nice Cozy B&B - We stayed at Glen Mhor Bed and Breakfast for two nights. It was really nice experience. Host Eileen was helpful and welcoming. We arrived two hours early than our scheduled check in time without informing, but we were allowed to check in without any hassles. Room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast served was also good.
- Niels (8/5): Nice B&B 30 minutes walk from the Horseshoe Falls - We were spending a single night in Niagara Falls on the way from Sarnia to Hamilton.
- Anne-Mette (8/5): Like it.... - + It was a very nice place to stay.
+ Eileen was very nice, and could tell us a lot of things about the area.
+ The room was nice, a little old, but that was part of the charme.
+ Breakfast was homemade and awesome.
+ Free parking
- You can hear you neighbor.
- Heather (10/5): - Excellent ! Lovely room, comfy bed, everything nice and clean. Warm and friendly welcome.
- Virender (10/5): - The host was pretty nice. Tasty breakfast, walking distance to the Niagra falls, clean house.
- Dean (10/5): Delightful stay. - The location was far enough away from the Falls for separation after your day's events, but close enough to not have to wake up extra early to get a jump on the day. Free parking was a plus, since just about everywhere else is not. We did walk to the Bird Aviary, which is more than you'd expect. I am not 'into' birds, but there were 3 floors of entertainment. We drove everywhere else. Close to AeroCar & WWWalk. Sept. nights were nice with windows open. Room was all we needed. Tight, but we only slept and dressed in it. Bathroom across hall was roomy and everything functioned. Breakfast was smart and tasted fabulous. Eileen thought out each step and the flavors made you happy. The meal got you ready for the day, not bloated from too many carbs. Good coffee. Her homemade biscotti was a pleasant midnight snack with tea after our long days.
Robes & slippers were provided. Quality of bath items was superior. Towels were A+. Great water pressure. We would recommend this B&B if you have all your faculties.
Magnolia room, on 2nd floor, has a sloped ceiling with detached, private bath. The smallest of 4 rooms. Nice, but could be a concern for some.
- Richard (8/5): Great way to visit Niagra Falls - We enjoyed our stay very much. Room and location was great for our travel in the area.
- Michael (8/5): Niagra wow - Very relaxing yet busy. Dinner at the revolving restaurant is a must. The town of Niagra on the Lake is great. So many wineries!
- Gary (10/5): Wonderful place with the nicest owner. - We had a VERY nice time at Glen Mhor. The host and owner had some great stories and told them in a very nice manner. Oh, and the breakfast was the nicest we'd had in our whole week away. Thanks!
- Verified traveler (6/5): - good breakfast, very small room and the bathroom was separated from the room.
- Debby (8/5): Bed and Breakfast - If you prefer a more personal experience, then this is a nice place to stay. The couple that own it are very accommodating and made us feel right at home. We got free breakfast each morning and they gave us discount coupons to use while we were there. One of the reasons we picked to stay here is because the parking is free and it is a 10 minute walk to the Falls. Most all the hotels in the area charge to park your car. The house has 4 bedrooms upstairs, all tastefully decorated, and 2 bathrooms, which everyone shares. We were lucky, because there were no other guests there the week we were there, so we had the whole upstairs to ourselves. Niagara Falls is pretty during the day, but it's even more pretty at night with the colored lights shining on it. Be prepared to spend a lot of money to eat, if you eat at any of the restaurants on Clifton Hill. We took a ride on the "Sky Wheel" at night which was fun to do, but pricey.
- rodolphe (8/5): A nice home - Maryline and Jim are nice people.
The rooms are very clean and confortable.
The Guesthouse is very Near the Niagara falls.
- mark (10/5): A better than expected experience. So romantic. - Above and beyond our expectations. My wife and I were on our first getaway from our kids and celebrating our 15th wedding anniversary. This B&B just added to our romantic week. Marilyn and Jim are wonderful. The service and kindness was excellent. In such a quiet neighborhood away from the tourism of the falls; yet, close enough to talk there everyday. We would definitely return to the Glen Mhor.
- Ruth (10/5): A great B&B! - Definitely a great B&B! My boyfriend & I stayed just for one night and the over all experience was very pleasant! Very clean and cozy! We were served pancakes with sausage & fruit in the morning which was delicious! The owners are very friendly and helpful to places around the area especially if you're looking to get away from all of the 'touristy places'. Last minute they even let us park our car & enter our room 5 hours before check in which was very helpful to us! Oh and it is a short walk to the falls which was perfect! We would definitely come back again, a great place.
- Jimmy (8/5): Cozy ! Clean! - Entire house on central air ... Little warm ... But had ceiling fan. No ice available ... But1 dollar sodas in community fridge. Only one main dish offered per day ... No choices. But room was spotless! Very close and in walking distance to town ... Just a short hill to travel. Owners very helpful ! Lots of info!
- Maria (10/5): Great place to stay and very close to Niagara Fall - This was our first time staying at a B&B and we were very happy! The room was very clean and comfortable. Loved that the falls were only a 5-10 minute walk from the B&B and about the same distance to many restaurants, shopping and other activities. The innkeepers, Jim and Marilyn were very friendly and was able to recommend places to eat and activities to do. They can also assist with making reservations to restaurants and activities. We will definitely stay here again!!
- Juan (10/5): - Marilyn and Jim are very friendly, from the moment we got there. Marilyn suggested places to go and things to do while we are there. Breakfast was fantastic. We will definitely stay there again.
- Mark (10/5): First time in Canada - It would have been perfect with a tv in the bedroom, as my wife goes to sleep with a tv on. Other than that the place was terrific. Thank you for the wonderful time.
- picky traveller (10/5): A 10 minute walk away from the hustle & bustle - quiet, clean & comfortable.
Marilyn is extremely helpful and accomodating.
I would definately stay here again
- Inaia (10/5): Cute B&B near the River - The Glen Mhor is a cute, unique B&B right on River Rd with views of the River and Gorge of Niagara Falls. Marilyn and Jim are amazing. From the time, I made the reservation until when I checked out, they were extremely helpful and made multiple recommendations. Breakfast was amazing (Ask for the blueberry muffins!). We met some really interest people there too. Staying at Glen Mhor truly made our Niagara Falls experience.
- Yankee Lady (6/5): Easy access, quiet - A very pleasant stay. Friendly owners, terrific breakfast! Surprisingly, this lovely liitle B&B is very quiet, despite being so very close to all the action. A good night's sleep. A little outdated in style and the room and bathroom and room were quite small, but both were very clean and adequately furnished. The second floor, where the rooms are located, is not easily accessible for anyone with mobility issues.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Excelent but the pillows has to be better
- Randall & Jane (10/5): RAINEY DAYS AREN'T ALL BAD..... - AFTER A LONG DAY OF RAINEY CONDITIONS ARRIVING AT THE Glen Mhor Guesthouse WAS LIKE BEING IN YOUR OWN HOME. THE HOSPITALITY WAS 'FANTASTIC' AND DESPITE THE MOIST CONDITION OUTSIDE WE HAD A PLEASANT OVERNIGHT STAY. THE HOSTS, JAMES & MARILYN WENT OUT OF THEIR WAY TO ENSURE WE HAD EVERYTHING WE NEEDED AND WENT BEYOND OUR EXPECTATIONS. SORRY TO SAY WE WEREN'T ABLE TO STAY LONGER BUT THERE WILL BE A NEXT TIME......
- Ender (8/5): Pretty close to it all, without being downtown. - Beautiful location. Breakfast was awesome. Owners were not around except in the morning. Going across the hall to use the bathroom was not bad, but not great. No control over room temp. Very pretty, easy to park. We had a nice stay.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Very nice stay.
Close walk to the action.
On We Go bus route
- lydia (10/5): First B & B experience -- found it to be EXCELLENT - The location was great -- walking distance to attractions - rooms were clean and each had a private bathroom.
Hosts were friendly and food was excellent!
- Nina (10/5): nice getaway - very nice Bed and Breakfast. enjoyed sitting on front porch with a cup of coffee and seeing the river. of course Niagara Falls was spectacular.
- Lydia & Axel (10/5): Awesome experience - This was our first stay at a B & B -- We had heard several horror stories from friends about their experiences at other B & B's and were a little reluctant to book at a B & B -- Found this to be an EXCELLENT experience. Rooms were comfortable and clean. Breakfasts were wonderful -- hosts were very informative about the area, accommodating and very friendly.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Loved this place! Would definitely stay here again.
- Jack & Gwen (10/5): Like staying with close friends or family - We've stayed in many, many B&Bs, both in the U.S. & abroad, and I can honestly say that I have never felt as instantly at home in any of them as I did here. Marilyn & Jim are ddelightful innkeepers, and their location is great for all of your Niagra Falls activities. While your there, be sure to eat at Taps and The Weinkellar -- both suggested by Marilyn & Jim and both terrific.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Quaint B&B - Location is great. Within walking distance of tons of restaurants, Niagara Falls, and casinos if interested. Lots to do on Clifton hills. Very reasonable rates for the area as taxes are h
- Verified traveler (8/5): Walking distance to falls - We enjoyed the quiet area the B&B is in - we were able to walk easily to the falls and still be away from all the traffic and people. We really enjoyed our night at this quaint B&B.
- Rob and Janet (10/5): Great first experience at a Bed and Breakfast! - Beautiful setting and the atmosphere was warm and inviting! We will definitely be staying here again when in town!
- Liliana (10/5): Excelent location, great service! - 10 mins walk from the falls, super clean room with private bathroom, very nice and helpful hosts!
- Bambi (8/5): A homely guest house closer to the falls - We enjoyed our stay at this guest house. Our hosts took care of us very well. We had a sumptuous breakfast as well. A very convenient location to visit the Niagara Falls and other attractions in this area.
- Rick and Carol (10/5): Nice place close to everything. - The owners of this B and B were very nice. The location is 5-10 minutes from the Falls and about 20-25 minutes from Niagara on the Lake and wine country is all around the area. The place and our room was clean with it's own washroom and the area was quiet. Breakfast was great and included just out of the oven muffins. We would go back without hesitation.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Affordable, Close to sights - The house was older, but clean and so close to sights we could walk easily.
- Amanda (8/5): Fantastic find in Niagara Falls! - Friendly B and B. Very accommodating, with excellent breakfasts. Walk to falls.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Great Location - minutes from the Falls.... Wonderful innkeepers that served us a hot breakfast :) And a clean & very comfortable room and bathroom - great experience all around :)
- Verified traveler (10/5): Great location - Fairly short walk to see the Falls and a short drive to the downtown (non-touristy) area with cute restaurants and shops. The owners were very friendly and helpful and the beds were comfy! Would definitely stay here again.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Close to the fall - The owner was very friendly and helpful. Room was very clean. Love the breakfast!
- Verified traveler (8/5): Well Located - Simple accommodations but met most of my needs. Only real negative was that the bed was hard and uncomfortable. Location was great, close to the falls yet quiet. Hosts were very helpful and pleasant.
- Rachel (10/5): Location and comfort - The location was great that you can walk to most of the view points. Very friendly and helpful. Delicious breakfast. The room was cozy and clean.
- barbara (10/5): Treated You Like Family - From your first welcome from Jim and your last good bye from Marilyn, you are treated like a member of the family. The beds were quite comfortable, the breakfast was cooked to order, coffe was always available, the area was quiet, and any questions were answered immediately. It was a very lovely B & B.
- eidemilm (10/5): Lovely little B&B - We enjoyed our stay at the Glen Mhor. The owners were great and the room met our needs for a very reasonable rate. We would gladly return.
- Margaret (10/5): Great choice - Felt like we were family! Marilyn had wonderful knowledge of the area and good suggestions of things to do.
- Donna (10/5): Close to the Falls - Marilyn and Jim were very helpful with suggestions to see Niagara Falls as well as other day trips, including providing directions. They were on hand to make sure guests had whatever they needed. Breakfast was delicious and made fresh for each guest. The other guests were friendly and made for lovely conversation during breakfast. Though I thought it might be weird to have the washroom across the hall, it was not a problem at all. It was a quiet place to relax after a day at the falls. It was only a 10 minute walk to Niagara Falls and it was easy to reach Niagara-on-the-Lake or other places off River Road. I would stay here again should I be in the area.
- Naina (10/5): Fantastic quiet, perfectly located B&B! - We had a great stay at Glen Mhor. The location is superb, walking distance from all the sights of Niagara, while being far enough away that it is extremely peaceful and pleasant. Marilyn and Jim were lovely and friendly, our room was beautiful and comfortable, breakfast was delicious. We were thoughtfully provided with a map with the attractions circled. There is coffee, tea and hot chocolate provided for free all day, and snacks and bottled water available for a nominal fee. Free parking rounds it off - we'll be back the next time we're in the area.
