• alison (10/5): Great choice for exploring Townsville area7 - Good communication so able to access key after arriving late. Room stocked with basics, toiletries, milk, tea, coffee, wash up liquid. Powerful shower, good towels. Laundry was free, soap provided and pegs to hang out! Pool was a bonus after long day out. Ample parking too. Great location, lovely cafe overlooking Strand. Friendly helpful staff . Nothing! All good.

• Sonia (8/5): Loved it. Relaxed out on the balcony every morning. Beautiful view to start the day. - Everything location staff friendliness the location was exceptional close to everything. Staff and manager's were very friendly abd accomadating. Facilities were good very relaxing to just sit on the balcony. Only issue i had was the hair behind the bathroom door. Apart from that no complaints at all. Tea Coffee sugar and milk were supplied some biscuits would have been nice in the Evening with our drink when we had one.

• Daniela (6/5): Es gibt schönere Motels. - Die Lage war sehr schön zentral. Aber… Die Zimmer entsprechen nicht den Bildern. Leider sehr abgewohnte und nicht wirklich ansprechende Zimmer. Extrem klein, kaum Ablagemöglichkeiten. Ich würde es nicht wieder wählen, habe mich dort nicht wohl gefühlt.

• ole55 (8/5): Handy hassle-free stay - Basic but the room had everything you would need for a short stay. Restaurant was handy and food was very good. Staff were all friendly and helpful. Nothing really.

• Paul (10/5): Road trip stopover - Its pretty central and we used as stopover on road trip. Parking on site. Room was big enough and very clean. Decent shower with really comfy bed and pillows. Right next to great pub which does decent food. Nice quiet location but near some bars and restaurants. You can walk through grounds to supermatket. It also has a nice small pool Wifi really good. Has aircon.Owner is a lovely lady who couldnt have been more helpful Nothing , ticked boxes for our stay

• Andrew (3/5): Its old & it shows - Location The shower had very good pressure and flow 😃 The Bed, may as well slept on the park bench across the road. The doorway to access the toilet/shower is a complete shit show.. if someone had a medical episode whilst on the toilet, emergency services would have no access. Pretty sure it would not be compliant with current regulations.

Supermarket and bottle shop at the rear of the property and restaurants an easy walk along the road. Had breakfast at the onsite cafe, which opens at 6:00am with plenty of choices.
• Lorie (2/5): The description of this propert was vey deceptive - I would not recommend - Well located As soon as we entered there was a sour smell, narrow, dark hallways, not user friendly in design, felt cheap & dingy. We were asked if we wanted a room with ocean view and it was a sliver of ocean off the balcony.

Am glad we were not travelling for sport or staying for longer as there was minimal room

• John (8/5): The likes outway the dislikes. - Ground floor was good. It was quiet day and night. No riff raff around. I liked the little kitchenette. Comfortable bed and pillows. It was close to Coles and restaurants. Close to a superb pub. Close to bus and taxi. A wonderful oldies Seaview breakfast canteen. A stroll to the strand. Good air condition and fan. Dish washing liquid ran out on day two. Needed more little soaps - they ran out day 4. I did not bring my own hair shampoo as I expected a few little bottles at the price per night. You get all that for $100/night in a shared facility pub in Sydney. On day six they took away the washing up scrubber, the chux towel and tea towel and did not replace them. The door lock seemed unstable. I felt vulnerable during the day when I went out. I took all important stuff with me everyday as I did not trust the whole process of room security. I would have liked to empty the bins on day 3 and had a spare bag or two.

• michelle (8/5): The Strand Motel was an affordable option, close to the beach , perfect to break up our long drive. - On the waterfront, The Strand Motel was clean and comfortable, perfect for an overnight stay to break up our trip north.

• Alecia (9/5): for an stay to have a break from riding and camping fantastic, walking distance from shops - secure, ground floor, water pressure n shower big, plenty of room space and quiet be nice if toiletries were provided, travelling on a bike makes storage of gear limited.
