Guest Reviews
- tammymL9948NA (10/5): Highly recommend! - We are staying in one of the cabins and they are so cute and clean with a great view of the lake. There is also wonderful little beach with chairs, bbq’s , kayaks anda dock, plus our 8 lb Biewer terrier can walk around on the porch because it has a gate and can be closed in!
- andreacY8759DC (10/5): A slice of paradise. - I went to the breakfast buffet...ordered a delicious Brut mimosa.
The buffet and service was TOP TIER!
Kim was amazing, as well as the bartender! He even took his time to show me the exact
champagne for use with the Max Mimosa. Everything was perfect!
Max on Sullivan Restaurant will remain my favorite friend/family place here in the Spokane Valley.
Many many thanks!
- Baboo2365 (10/5): October at O'Sullivan's - Very nice people on the phone and in person. My husband and I arrived in Lake George Village a bit early... so an early check in was greatly appreciated. Many dining options nearby. Comfortable stay on a busy weekend ...Thank you O'Sullivan's!
- Holly J. (8/5): - Great if you like motels
Everything you need and nothing you don’t.
- helensitesm (10/5): O’Sullivans is the best - Our room was recently redone. Its beautiful! We especially like the updated bathroom. We have a great view of the lake from our room and our deck. The deck is covered, so we can even enjoy in the rain! Easy walk to the village and many restaurants. We have been coming here for a few years and we will be back.
- 777kaitlinb (8/5): Dog Friendly stay in Lake George - Nice getaway for our first time in Lake George. While not luxury accommodations, it was comfortable for my family with a great view of the lake. Big plus for being dog friendly! It was quiet in May which was nice but would love to come back more in season!
- 782kelliec (6/5): Misleading - Misleading as I thought we'd be right on the water. There's a very steep incline down to a very lackluster beach. I have bad arthritis & it's a difficult walk, didn't know our "cabin" would be upstairs. The swim area is barely big enough for two toddlers & the view from the lounge chairs is blocked by several boats parked right in front of you which is why the swim area is so tiny. The 2 bedroom is very odd as you have to walk through a bedroom to access the bathroom, awkward for my teenager. There's also only a thin spread & flat sheet on the bed & it was too late to go to the office at night to request more. Glad I brought an extra large beach towel to use as we're from Az. & we were cold. There's only a small couch & tiny tv which was a tight squeeze for a family of 3 to watch a movie. There's a few very uncomfortable hard chairs not suitable for relaxing. The one pro was a gorgeous view of the lake from our balcony which we loved but wouldn't stay again.
- ChrissyNYUpstate (8/5): Dog friendly family resort - This is one of the few resorts that allows dogs and that is why we selected it. We had a pleasant stay and so did the dogs. We thought it was a great value for the money, and loved having a private outdoor deck with a lake view.
PRO - our two bedroom suite had a brand new bathroom, which was a huge plus. I read on their website they have been renovating the bathrooms and I was so happy to see one that was sparking and new. Many of these hotels have been there for a long time so we appreciate the updates.
CON - beach is small. Also there is no restaurant on site so you need to walk to another resort or one of the spots on the main strip.
- lynnpC2792SH (6/5): Good for one night but not more - We had a two bedroom lake view motel room. First off the room was nice... Except the people upstairs were loud. You'd swear people were walking in our kitchen it was so loud.. You'd also think people were bowling upstairs. There's no assigned parking and Megan told us to park in front of an old fire hydrate that doesn't work. We did and boy were people in the cabins in front giving us dirty looks the entire time. The people in the cabins were just rude.. Blocking a parking spot for someone in their crew... The location is great.. The beach is small. A woman in a chair in front of us was chain smoking and it really stunk... As a nom smoker I didn't appreciate it and neither did my kids. This place is ok for a one night stay but I wouldn't want to stay any longer.
- Cruiser788183 (10/5): 4th of July getaway - Realy enjoyed our three day stay at O'Sullivans. The location was great, easy walk to the village and the management was both efficient and friendly. Lake George continues to have such charm...and this motel was both clean and comfortable. Excellent!
- 436melindad (10/5): 30 years and counting! - We have gone to O’Sullivans every September for the past 30 years! The updates and changes that Matt and Meghan have made are outstanding! I get the same cabin every year and always surprised by something new! The property is perfect for young families and old. My kids have followed in the tradition with their family. Love my deck overlooking Lake George!
- J7482PEemilyb (10/5): HIGHLY RECOMMEND - Just got back from a fantastic family vacation at O’Sullivan’s! We went with 4 adults and 2 babies and a dog! The accommodations were clean, efficient and exactly what we needed! Everything nice and up to date also.. the beach and pool were both so ideal for the babies and having it be pet friendly made it the perfect family vacation! HIGHLY RECOMMEND
- HenryH993 (10/5): Another Great Stay - We just completed our 4th stay at O’Sullivans and we look forward to returning next June. O’Sullivans is a family run, family oriented lakeside motel within comfortable walking distance to most everything in Lake George Village. All of our stays have been in dog friendly Cottage #28. After our first 2 visits the cottage was renovated and it looks exactly like the available online photos. Since there are photos for each of the many types of accommodations (rooms, cabins and cottages) I suggest viewing them to help choose what works best for you.
Our cottage was well maintained and spotlessly clean. I’m sure that was true throughout the resort. Again, we look forward to our visit next summer and highly recommend that you consider it too.
- X3228VQcathym (10/5): The one and only hotel I will book in Lake George - O Sullivans is by far the best hotel I have ever stayed in at Lake George. The accommodations are amazing, you can rent a hotel room or a cabin. I always book a cabin because they are spacious and clean. The owners are friendly and helpful with anything that you need. No other place I would stay.
- Lor_n_Kooper (10/5): O' Sullivan's ion the Lake s Kooper Blue Approved !! - Kooper Blue , Kloud, and K9 Family and Friends ( and Humans ! ) Have been Visiting O'Sullivan's at Least Once a Season since 2016.
Every year we are impressed by the newest renovations to both the rooms/ cabins / cottages and the property itself.
O'Sullivan's is family owned and operated, with the owners living on site. This is especially helpful if you happen to lock yourself out of your cabin, after visiting the office for your morning coffee :-).
O'Sullivan's is Pet Welcoming in Cabins / Cottages and Select Rooms.
Most, if not all , pet welcoming cabins/ cottages have rolling , locking gates on the porches. This is a great feature in that your dog can relax on the deck with you, without worry of him meandering across the way to visit the neighbor's dog.
In addition to the lodging being Pet Welcoming, O'Sullivan's allows K9s to Kewl off in The Lake during "Off Peak" Hours ! Depending on the Season / Day/ Lake Temp, that can be just about anytime. it all depends on when other guests choose to use the beach and swimming area.
Pet waste bag dispensers and cans are conveniently located thru out the property, these are especially useful for our 6AM Sunrise walks, as my jammies don't have pockets!
As for the Actual Accommodations, We've had the pleasure of spending time in several different cabins and cottages. Each one is comfortable, charming and unique in it's own way. They are Clean upon check-in, The beds have always been "just right", the ACs, and in autumn, the heating units, have always worked ( quietly too ! ) , though , I usually opt to open the windows and let the Lake Breeze flow thru.
On days when the temps start to soar, I've taken advantage of the seasonal outdoor swimming pool. The pool is clear, clean and refreshing. Every season O'Sullivan's adds more to the pool patio area.. more/ newer chairs. loungers, tables and umbrellas. Be sure to take advantage of the pool, not just the lake !
Though I'm a Solo Female Traveler, I have always felt Safe during my stays both at O'Sullivan's, which is very well lit at night, and during my walks to the village of Lake George.
Granted, having an 85 pound German Shepherd with me at all times makes me feel even safer :-), but so do the Warren County Sheriff Units that patrol the streets and businesses of Lake George all season long.
If there's any "cons" to staying at O'Sullivan's , they would be that
A: The Peace and Relaxation that can be found there becomes addicting , and you find yourself wanting / needing to return several times thru out the season. You may quickly exceed your allotted vacation time !
B: O'Sullivan's ( and most all the smaller , family owned motels) is Seasonal.. and while I'd Love to visit and hunker down in a cabin during an ole fashioned Adirondack snow storm, I understand the work / manpower/ expense that would be necessary to be open year round.
In closing.. O'Sullivan's is our Kabin Away From Home during the Summer, Give Them a Visit, You'll be Glad You Did .
In fact.. Tell Them Kooper Blue Sent You !
- NickLGfan (10/5): Nick & Cris love O’Sullivans - Our family has been going to O’Sullivans for 10+ years now every summer. We love the grounds and the pet friendly accommodations! The owners and staff are wonderful people who go above and beyond for their guests. Looking forward to another stay this coming summer!
- Gooddrummer (10/5): There is no better place to stay. - Been staying there 28 yrs in a row... Matt and his Father have up-dated since they bought it. Right down Town, and on the beach. Great prices, compared to what the others charge. Matt goes out of his way for you- What a great place. There is no other better place to stay. Tim Andrew, Ossipee, NH.
- elizabethhK36JQ (10/5): Our Second Home! - We are ending our 3 week stay and as always we don't want to leave! We can't say enough about O'Sullivan's, it is such a pleasure to stay here and we consider it our second home! We have been coming since 2006 and we wouldn't stay anywhere else! They have been updating the rooms and the property and it looks amazing and there are places to sit and relax around the property. We can't say enough about the staff, especially Brian, they are all so friendly and helpful! The owners , Matt and Meghan are just wonderful people who care about their property and want everyone to be happy and work to assure that happens. This is the place to stay! They have rooms, suites, cabins, a pool, a beach, it's a very short walk to town and they are pet friendly!
- LNinCT (10/5): Love O’Sullivan’s - I had stayed at another property for years but when we got our dog we needed to look for another place. I am SO glad I found O’Sullivan’s! We stayed 366001 in cabin 26 right by the lake and it was just perfect! Perfect location to walk up and down Canada street so we never had to worry about parking. My son and his girlfriend took out the kayaks and had a ball! And from our deck, if you lean out a bit, you can see the fireworks over the lake (if you walk down to the beach area you can see the full set of fireworks). I’m so glad we booked the same cabin for this July! Can’t wait!!
- G3598JXlauriem (10/5): Best.Place.Ever. - This year was our 3rd stay. We love everything about O'Sullivan's. We get a pet friendly cabin. Our chihuahua even loves it and as soon as we arrive she trots right to "our" cabin! The location right in the village, view of the lake, beach, pool - I've spent hours just staying in the cabin or out on the deck reading. Hubby likes to do hiking not far away. Dog is happy doing either. Can walk to Shepards Park, lots of good eats nearby, and even a small local library. Owners are super helpful and friendly - always answered any questions we had. It has become our go-to happy place even though we live 5+ hours away. One thing - if you're not a motorcycle fan, don't go during Americade week (look it up if you don't know what it is). Motorcycles everywhere! But if that's your jam - go for it! LOVE O'Sullivan's!
- featherdiane (10/5): Our Home On Lake George - Our family visits Lake George every summer. We’ve stayed at a few different places over the years but O’Sullivan’s has quickly become our favorite. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The beach and pool are beautiful. We can’t wait for our visit this summer!
- Sara (10/5): Weekend trip - Our stay was great. Friendly staff, clean room. The only issue was the pool being ice cold but the staff did tell me ahead of time
