Guest Reviews
- Jude (10/5): - Great location and price
- guillermo (10/5): - Gracias
- Antonio de Jesús (8/5): - Buena ubicación y precio
- Angel (6/5): - I didn't like they had not hot water and i was in a rush to get out. The towels suck. Other than than that it was ok.
- Fernando (10/5): - The rooms are super big, thr shower is confortable to shower in. Easy access to downtown.
- ANDY (2/5): - Left without staying. Staff was VERY rude and there was no parking even though advertised with parking.
- Elizabeth (10/5): Morelia has a lot to offer, and this hotel is nice - Hotel was built in 1800, high ceilings, doors and window were rustic. Bathroom and shower were modern.
Everyone was friendly and professional. Restaurants are so close you can crawl to them. Fresh juice bar right at the corner. Most of the restaurants have live music at night. The madero avenue is a couple of blocks away. Also the dulce market is nearby. I bought little bottles of mezcal with a real scorpion in it, a suede hat with embroidery and a hand painted leather purse that will last years.
The fireworks on and over the cathedral are worth seeing on Sat at 9 pm.
- Irineo (10/5): - Exelebte
- Edna (10/5): - Centrally located near the cathedral and where most events are organized.the staff is very helpful. Parking is 3 blocks away.

- Angelica (10/5): - I loved the modern and extremely clean bathroom and room; I will define return!
- Robert (10/5): - Colonial architecture...original wood..interior patios.

- Porfirio (10/5): - Close to downtown.
- Santiago (2/5): - They don't have air in the rooms, and they also don't have hot water.
- Lilia (8/5): Very hot - Very hot in the room. No fan or air conditioning

- Tannum (8/5): - Hotel Gertrudis is such a hidden gem in the beautiful, historic town of Morelia! My spouse and I are English speakers and this was our first time in Morelia. This hotel is historical and quaint. They did an excellent job of decorating the atrium area and the rooms are incredibly authentic and unique. It is a very old hotel (as with all hotels in the area) but we felt very safe and well taken care of during our time here. The staff was so kind and helpful! Also, we had no idea that the cutest bar in Morelia was right on our rooftop! I almost cried seeing it, it was such a magical night. The only thing I would mention - because the hotel is old, you are able to hear the nightclubs on either side on Friday and Saturday night. My husband and I didn’t mind it at all but I would just want to mention this for families. It was overall an amazing stay and we would come here again!
- Jose (8/5): - Esta muy bien ubicada ds varios lugares historicos.
- Alejandro (10/5): - Recomendable
- Idelfonso (10/5): -
- Sandra (10/5): - Muy buen servicio y mucha tranquilidad
- Ruby (6/5): - Upon arrival my reservations were not ready so they required a large deposit in order to give me my room. According to them this was due to Orbitz not sending them confirmation of my reservation and proof of payment. I was super sick and I had to wait there almost 2 hours past midnight until this was resolved. I became sicker as I sat there waiting, by the time I got my room I was burning up with a fever.
Gracias.
- Michael (6/5): - Un día no hubo agua caliente.
- Edna (10/5): Excelente hotel y Servicio - Excelente servicio
Es un hotel muy bonito
Atención excelente durante mi estancia
Limpieza perfecta
Gracias
- Mark (2/5): Uncomfortable stay! - Morning staff never greeted, ignored us or was eating breakfast. Items were always missing, such as water, toilet paper, etc. No continental breakfast, just small cookies, coffee, or a small yougurt. Rooms have mo storage spaces or cabinets. Limited outlets. Found a scorpion in the room.
- MariaMontoya (10/5): - This is the second time we stayed at Gertrudis and definitely will keep looking forward to stay again conveniently located on Morelia Down Town like Cathedral and so many to mention Quality stayed at this Hotel
- Verified traveler (8/5): - a nice small hotel, excellebt lication, a littke noisy at night due to a festival nearby but it didnt prevent my sleepibg.
- Mike (10/5): - I asked for a fan, and was provided with a really good one, which made all the difference. I met the owners. They’re really lovely. They gave me a discount. Fabulous maid.
- KARLA (10/5): Good place good price - Great place great price great location perfect balance. Parking just be aware of the rules and timings plan and call maybe before. We were lucky but I think can be difficult
- Verified traveler (2/5): - Horrible place, no elevator, horrible, horrible place!!!!
- Verified traveler (10/5): Morelia hotel - Cool hotel probably best in Morelia
- Raine (6/5): Three miserable nights - Lovely front staff and the accommodation was ok but reeked of cheap cleaning products and with only one small exterior opening difficult to air the room out. The dampness from the bathroom also increased the poor air quality. As well, the lighting was extremely poor, the pillows too hard to use and although there was a coffee machine there was no coffee, so what was the point? The bed was very comfortable but because of the aforementioned sleep was hard to come by. Management should tour the rooms occasionally and observe things that should be repaired - like the bathroom taps which were about to come loose from their mounts. Would I stay there again? Not unless the issues mentioned are dealt with. The awful smell from the cleaning products and the dim lighting would definitely need to change.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - This hotel seems to be an old colonial era office building. Each room is somewhat small and has just functional furniture, but it is comfortable and is such a pretty and unique setting. Definitely nice and clean, too. It is pretty open to the outdoors (again, like old colonial buildings, has patios, etc, without roof), which is fantastic for most of the year but could be unpleasantly cold in the coldest time of year (maybe January to early March). You can't really beat the location, very walkable to Cathedral but far enough to not be too loud. And it feels like a sort of hidden spot. There's 3 stories and no elevator, so not a good idea when you are stumbling drunk or just lazy. And there seems to be no way for someone in a wheelchair to stay here. Even to get across the first floor patio there is a step. (Possibly one or two rooms are accessible, not sure--call ahead and make very sure of this if you need.) Not a lot of amenities other than free and strong wifi. But a pretty good deal over all.
- Shian Ching (6/5): Basic lodging in great location - The room is basic but not well lit. The wifi drops in and out when I tried using my tablet. In my room, there is a huge noise whenever other guests in other rooms turn on the hot water. The continental breakfast, in the lobby with few chairs, are apples, yogurt, tea and coffee, which is a bit disppointing, so I ended up eating breakfast out. The location is excellent, walking distance to La Cateral.
- Gerald (4/5): An uncomfortable seven-night stay. - ‘Great location, but cold and dark rooms; beds too large, bottom sheets too small, hot water takes a loooong time to arrive. Smoking is allowed in the courtyards, which immediately wafts into rooms along with bus exhaust from the road. The padlock door may be rustic, but meant I couldn’t even latch the door to go out while my partner slept, much less lock it, which would have imprisoned her.
- jc (10/5): Excellent - Really clean very nice hotel I back here no doubt
- Mary (10/5): Great Place! - The hotel was great! The staff was very helpful and the room was beautiful! Location was great, really close to the main square and shopping.
- ISRAEL (10/5): Great location. - Great location
- JUAN (10/5): Magical Stay - Great hotel
- Sherry (6/5): - Simple, but quaint hotel with modern features. Excellent location for easy access to the cathedral, market, etc. in Morelia. Very good value for what you get.
