• Verified traveler (10/5): RECOMENDADO SI BUSCAS ALGO ECONOMICO Y CÉNTRICO - Nos pareció un hotel muy cómodo, el área del Lobby muy bonito, muchas plantas que hace el lugar muy agradable, La señora de recepción Única, hubo un día q no había tiempo para desayunar en el Lobby y nos preparo unos sanwich para llevarnos..Nos pareció muy buena la ubicación, a la mitad de todas las atracciones.. Para el precio que pagamos (29 CAN x 2 personas) lo calificó muy bueno.. Café gratis y Wifi.

• Verified traveler (10/5): - If you need to be around the Khaosan Rd area but do not want the noise at night, this is a very quiet place. And only a 4 min walk to Khaosan. Very reasonable price. Laundry on site, mini van pick up for airport. Also if you are on a budget, the S1 Airport bus will get you close enough as well for only 60 bht. I have stayed here once a year for about 5 years in a row.

• Katie (8/5): Basic but great - The hotel is basic but clean, rooms have ac and a tv (although English language programmes are very few) the location is close to Khao san and riverside there is also a bus stop not far from the hotel which will get you to shopping malls and the skytrain etc. There is tea and coffee facilities in reception which area available in the morningw which is great. The people working at reception, especially Alli are fantastic, so lovely and kind. If you enjoy football then do make sure you have a chat with Allie, you’ll make his day and his knowledge is superb. For the price you can’t fault this hotel.
• Verified traveler (6/5): not bad if you try to stay at an inexpensive price - It is not bad if you try to stay in an independent room at an inexpensive price. But it is not good to be late at night because there is a hotel inside a narrow alley. And although I can not say it's generic, my bedding still has some traces left. I guess I was in a bad luck?

• Gustaf (8/5): Caring staff and good location - Stayed a week in a spacious room. The hotel is located conveniently close to the classical sights and the river although silent at night. The greatest asset is its staff who is welcoming and very helpful, for example walking with us to show the location of a good local restaurant.
• Alex (8/5): Good for a quick stop in BKK - We spent two nights here and would certainly reccomend. It is close to the action and Khao San road but far enough from the main road to ensure a good nights sleep. The room is quite small however it is exactly as pictured, clean and with good AC and wi-fi.
• Nat (8/5): - Overall, I liked it and would go back. It's basic but good considering the price, and it's clean. It gets you very close to Kahosan Rd. without all the noise and in a private room. Also close to Phra Arthit Pier which is helpful to visit Wat Arun, Grand Palace and Wat Pho. Arriving might be confusing as it is not actually on the road but in an alley, but look it up con Google maps and use the pictures as reference. If you book a shuttle to the airport for departure allow more time than needed as the first half hour or so of your trip consists mostly of just waiting around for other people or for the van itself.

• MIKE (8/5): Hidden Gem in the City - This is a simple yet clean hotel. A great find as it's close to alot of things and it's downtown. The owner is super nice and helpful if you have questions. They even have a washer and dryer if you want to wash clothes and it's inexpensive. The only suggestion we had was to clean the room if the person is staying longer than one day. They did provide clean towels each day though. Would definitely stay here again!

• Jean-philippe (10/5): Très content - À 5mn de khao San road et on entend absolument aucun bruit (sauf les voisins d'à côté si ils abusent). La wifi marche très bien même ds la chambre. La clim fait du bien. Eau chaude. Bus gratuit juste à côté pour presque partout. Le bateau taxi à 15mn à pied. Le bus de l'aéroport te laisse à 300m bref très bien pour le prix.
• Verified traveler (10/5): Great stay! - The room is very basic but comfortable and clean. The wifi can be spotty in the rooms, but just head downstairs for a better connection. The location more than makes up for some of the other small failings. You just head down the alley and go left for a ways until you cross the street near a small park for the Phra Arthit ferry stop. This will take you to the main attractions. If that was a bit confusing just ask the people at the front desk for directions to get to the river.

We booked a private room for one night but reached only at 5 in the morning next day. We didn't get a chance to communicate this to the hotel but they still kept the room for us. The room was very clean. They have a laundry as well.

• Angelica (8/5): Convenient and clean hotel - My boyfriend and I recently had a great stay at the Smile Buri. The staff was super friendly and answered any questions that we had about activities nearby. The location is fantastic and if anyone enjoys walking you can easily get to palace and other sites. The room was sparse, but nice and clean. While the guesthouse was not filled when we got there, the walls were thin and if a large group passed through it could be a little louder. Overall, this was a great place to stay with no hassle in a location that was great.

• Claire (10/5): Clean, comfy and central-a great place - Stayed 3 nights, really happy all round. Like others said, don't let alleyway in put you off. Reception staff lovely, room perfectly adequate, bed comfy with a quilt rather than sheets :-) and a decent bathroom with shampoo & shower gel provided. Great air con and wifi on each floor. Free coffee in the mornings (would be nice if they had tea bags too for non coffee drinkers!) The 53 bus stops at the end of the alley and was mega handy for many sights plus it's only a 5 min walk to the Khao San Road and Rambuttri Alley. Will stay again when in Bangkok.
• Yogesh (6/5): Great location close to Khao San road - Smile Buri House is located close to Khao San road and eating joints around this place- 10min by walk and is also ample distance away from the loud hustle bustle music of local restaurants and bars to you can get a good night's sleep. Its 20min walk away from nearest ferry point where you can get boat rides to Pratunum ( where the malls of BKK are located) We stayed as a family (2 adults and a kid) and found the room was pretty small space-wise with our luggage lying around. Since we were out doors most of the time, it was not a major concern - but just want to let others know of this fact, especially if you plan to stay as a family. Its a perfect hostel for 1-2 backpackers or solo traveler. The room had AC working perfectly which is a must in BKK! The owners stay at this facility are hospitable people and always guided us to places where we wanted to go. Overall, the stay was comfortable and enjoyable one! :)
• Mervin (10/5): - Das hotel liegt ca. 5 min laufweg von der kho sarn road entfernt. Die unter kunft selbst ist sauber nette und hilfsbereite inhaber. Der einzige nachteil war das gerade neben dem hotel eine mosche ist.
• SHINHEA (6/5): 카오산로드에서 도보로 이동할수 있고 조용하게 숙박할수 있는곳! - 카오산 로드에서 도보로 이동할수 있는거리에 있고, 조용하게 숙박할수 있었음. 호텔 근처에 테이크 아웃 커피숍과 베이커리, 쌀국수 집이 있어서 아침식사로 이용하기가 좋았음. 리셉션은 조금 무뚝뚝하지만 길이나 교통편을 물어보면 잘 알려주셔서 좋았음. 샤워수압이 좋았으나 룸내에 냉장고나 테이블이 없어서 조금 불편했음. 청소상태는 깨끗했음.

• Matilda (6/5): Good - Good normal standard hotel/hostel. Clean room, ac and a good working wi-fi. The guy in the reception was very rude and not very friendly, didn't talk at all and almost looked angry when we checked in. But the next day it was a new one and he was way better! 5 min walk to Khao San Road woch was the best part.
• liz (8/5): - カオサン通りから徒歩3~5分程の場所に位置しており静かです。 デポジットが500バーツ必要。 入口は奥まっており、女一人では夜は少し怖かったです。 セミダブルの部屋をとりました。 値段の割には小さいですがとても清潔でセンスもいいです。 私は一人なので大丈夫でしたが、二人で泊まるとなると狭いかもしません。 寝るだけならいいでしょう。 シャワーにはシャンプーとソープがついてました。 一つ不便だったのは、ドライヤーが置いてありますが鏡の近くにコンセントがなく、延長コードがあればいいのにと思いました。
• June (10/5): Cerca de Khao San Road pero sin bullicio - Estuvimos un par de noches y nos encantó. Habíamos pasado antes por la zona de Khao San Road y este hotel merece la pena. Habitaciones limpias, nuevas, personal excelente y super amable, te ayudarán en todo lo que puedan. El hotel está cerca de Khao San Road pero sin todo el bullicio y cantidad de gente de la zona, el descanso en el hotel es excelente porque no hay ruidos exteriores. Se entra por un callejón que está super iluminado de noche así que no hay ningún problema, todo super seguro. En el hotel hay café y té gratis así como wifi en las habitaciones. Si vuelvo a Bangkok me alojaré allí seguro
• Enrico (8/5): Ottima posizione comoda a Khao San Road. - Una guesthouse a ottimo prezzo in una posizione a due passi da Khao San Road.. La posizione è però leggermente appartata ideale anche per riposarsi senza essere bombardati dal caos del quartiere. Pulito e confortevole.
• Philip Edward (6/5): Clean room, decent location but not the best servi - The hotel is located down a long alley off the street. When you arrive you check in through a small window which didn't full us with confidence about the safety of the area although it proved to be fine in the end. The rooms are basic but clean. We asked reception if they could arrange a taxi to the airport for when we left but were told do that we need to do it ourselves as there are plenty outside. I guess it is not a service that they offer. All in all, not a bad hotel just not great service but I guess you get what you pay for.

• Lim ChaeWoo (10/5): 조용하고 편안하고 깨끗한... - 2015년 6월 14~17일 까지 3박을 하였습니다. Pom Pra Sumen에서 2분 거리입니다. 수상버스타기 좋고 카오산과 람부뜨리 거리를 가기가 용이합니다. Phra Sumen Rd 바로 앞에 있는 호텔이 아니고 골목 안쪽에 있습니다. Phra Sumen Rd 상점가에 Smile Buri House 라고 간판이 보입니다. 이곳의 장점은 단기 여행자가 편안하게 묶고 갈 수 있는 시설들입니다. 샴프, 바디클린징, 칫솔, 치약, 등이 모두 구비가 되어있어서 체크인시에 욕실에서 볼 수 있습니다. 리모델링을 한지 얼마 되지 않아서 생각보다 깨끗했습니다. 룸 컨디션이나, 호텔의 컨디션이 좋았습니다. 3박은 하면서 청소는 1번 제공 받았습니다. 오전에 나가면서 청소해달라고하면 하루에 한번씩 매일 청소를 받을 수 있을겁니다. 디파짓은 500밧이며, 디파짓 영수증을 잃어버려도 열쇠키만 주면 돌려줍니다. 단점이라 하면 주인 아저씨가 무뚝뚝합니다. 근데 원하는 사항을 이야기하면 다 들어주십니다. 욕실 세면대에 거울이 없는게 좀 아쉽습니다. 면도를 할때 방에 있는 거울을 이용해야되서 그게 조금은 불편했습니다. 전체적으로 깨끗하고 조용했습니다. 다만 가격대가 조금나가니 장기 배낭여행자보다는 단기나 비즈니스하는 사람이 다녀가면 좋을것 같습니다. 3박을 하면서 전체적으로 매우 만족했습니다.
