The water pressure was extremely low in the hot water tap and shower in our other room no 7.

Great communication even before arrival date as Steph rang to arrange what we wanted for breakfast. The beds were actually very comfortable, better than expected for a typical B&B. Whole experience was great and highly recommended it. Can’t really say there was anything we didn’t like; for the price it was top notch.

• Jasmine (10/5): Great place and last minute booking! Thank you for your hospitality - Lovely greeting from the owner. She made us feel very welcome and comfortable:) clean beds and towels. Great location to the centre of Torquay (15 min walk) Everything was great for what we needed in terms of comfort and facilities. Quite conscious of the rooms not being very sound proof as we could hear other guests talking in other rooms, not a major problem though!

• McGovern (9/5): Great long weekend staying in a 'bostin' hotel! - I stayed at Hotel Atlantis for 4 nights,i had a really nice stay there.Mine hosts Steph and Simon were simply the best,they are originally from the same part of the UK as me,West Midlands,so it was WIN WIN as far as i was concerned!Steph was very charming and friendly,prepared great breakfasts,adhering to my 'dietry needs',which i appreciated.So,for me everything is good about Atlantis,great hostelry in a convenient location,close to the harbour,beach and[especially] the local railway station,a pity about the cancellations,but that of course is a separate issue.Top marks for Steph and Simon,boing,boing! All good,i had the option of a room change when i checked in,i accepted this,less stairs to climb for me,lol!Top marks all round,everything good.....great in fact!

• Ahmed (1/5): - It was a different room and it was a different bathroom. It was not a bathroom. Basically, because of its small area, they put the hand basin inside the room. This bathroom was really very bad. I was not comfortable in that hotel. It is not worth the money. This is a fact that it deserves 10 pounds per night, not 50 pounds.
• Fleur Josephine (10/5): Comfortable and spotless and a lovely place to stay with wonderful owners and Steph always happy to help, and made the m - I loved how they set up beds very unique way of making them look really beautiful. The beds were lovely And clean and warm and a great touch to put extra scatter cushions on the bed as well. The whole room had everything you could need, from a beautiful vanity cabinet with plenty of room for your makeup, hair curlers if needed, they provide a hair dryer which is very useful. And a gorgeous mirror and comfy chair to sit on whilst putting on your makeup. It had a wardrobe a single bed as well as i was coming with 1 other. But amazing to be given a double bed and a single. Then a chest of drawers. With a kettle, cups and tea and coffee and milk and sugar, glasses if needed. Then a flat screen television on the wall with all the channels you need. Then a private bathroom which was gorgeously tiled everywhere, a really modern spotless bathroom which had a nice big shower, toilet and sink. With a nice big mirror as well. And in the main room a nice long mirror to see how you look if you are dressing up for an occasion. It’s definitely the only B&B I will keep going back to when I go to Torquay. It’s breakfast made by one of the lovely owners Steph was perfect and huge enough to fill you up all day! Very delicious and rounded off a lovely stay. I would give 10/10 if i could. Thank you so much for a wonderful night. No complaints. There is nothing I can say that is negative about the property. Nothing I can think of that needs to change. I loved everything about it.

• Paul (5/5): - Si and Stef were very friendly and welcoming - excellent hosts Location is just 5 mins away from the beach and 10 mins from the main centre Local shops, taxis, bar right 'on doorstep' Hotel bar (the one situated in the lounge!) wasn't in operation (but there is a bar opposite) Patched up room, where wall repairs had been undertaken and the patch painted in a different colour Uncomfortable beds 7 flights of stairs to reach room (2 per floor and the first set of steps to ascend to the property, definitely not a viable option for mobility restricted guests) Plug didn't fit sink No refridgerator (not a big deal for short stays)

Not trendy or the latest design and decor but good basic value for money. Not dislikes as such, but a few suggestions to improve facilities might be extra coat hooks on door or in bathroom and somewhere to hang larger towels to dry (we stayed 4 nights).

• John (8/5): A nice place close to the centre of Torquay with free parking after 5pm Saturday and through Sunday - The room was very clean and tidy. The only issue was that my wife is a very light sleeper and the beds did rumble when any movement was made. The host made us very welcome, We didn't have breakfast. We arrived at 5pm on Saturday and were able to park free. If visiting Torquay you can leave it there through Sunday. Nothing - the above comment is only a detail

The room was located on the top floor (4th) and the hosts kindly helped me with the luggage. I was able to leave the luggage prior to the check in hour. Kettle and TV in the room. Clean and nice. Overall perfect.

There was street parking nearby (as there’s no parking at the hotel) which was easy to find. The host was absolutely lovely, she was so friendly and gave us all the information we needed. The room was topped up with tea and coffee every time we came back. The room was clean and the beds were very comfy! On the 3rd night unfortunately someone put the latch down which we struggled to get in, we had to phone her to get access but she was so quick there no hassle. N/A

The staff were very helpful and friendly, happy to accommodate having takeaways if desired and provide plates etc. I didn’t order breakfast but they were happy to add this as and when if I wanted to. It was exactly as described and the pictures reflect it accurately. Huge cups for the coffee in the morning which was great. The door to the bathroom didn’t close completely, not necessarily an issue but it did drift open and the light from the shower unit was enough of a distraction to make me get out of bed to close the door again

• Feyemike (9/5): - Het ontvangst was zeer goed. Nadat de gastvrouw ons welkom heette, werden de koffers naar de kamer gebracht. De gastvrouw gaf veel informatie over Torquay. Het ontbijt is simpelweg goed, zowel ' full English' als continentaal ontbijt wordt vers voor je gemaakt. Een prima hotel om een aantal dagen te verblijven, zeker qua locatie i het zeer geschikt daar je op een kleine 10 minuten lopen vanaf de boulevard zit. Torquay is een erg leuke stad net zolas de plaatsjes eromheen zoals Paignton. Een echte aanrader! En heb je zin in een pint? Een pub zit direct aan de overkant van het hotel😀 Er is geen airco op de kamer. Het was redelijk warm, ondanks de dat de buitentemperatuur rond de 22 graden lag.

• Corrie (2/5): A terrible experience - The location. We arrived at 7:30 PM after a long day of driving with a Young child. We wanted to check in and grab a bite to eat. It took a long time before we received the key and Wi-Fi. There wasn't a plug in the building to use as a converter from a European to an English plug, so we couldn't charge our devices. The owner insisted that a shop would still be open, so we had to buy it there. Instead of going out to eat, searching for a shop, we were able to find one. Breakfast hadn't been arranged and couldn't be requested either. We had to go to the bakery, said the owner. All in all, we didn't feel like they were willing to help or that hospitality was a priority. In the shower by our room, we found the dirty razor and remains of the previous guests. The shower clearly hadn't been cleaned. This was the limit for us. We spoke with the owners and didn't want to stay longer. A refund was out of the question. They weren't willing to offer any compensation. We indicated that we would mention this in the review to protect other guests. The fact that there wasn't a European plug available should be mentioned, as should the breakfast, which apparently can't be arranged after 7:30 PM, and the hygiene issues. So you know what to expect. We were accused of blackmail, and they said they would report us to Booking.com. A distortion of the facts. We may have been the victims of a very bad day for the owner. And for us 150,- in extra costs and a very bad start to a holiday.
• Nayohmee (9/5): Great stay for the weekend - Friendly host and a fantastic cooked breakfast. Good location to walk to the coast. Small bathroom in the room, but a larger shared one was available on the next floor. Parking is on the street, but lots of roads to try your luck.

• S (10/5): Ideal Place and Location - Very hospitable and helpful hosts. The location was great. It was within walking distance of the beach and marina and near to where the land train stops. The room itself was very comfortable, a sound sleep was had by all and the en-suite included a decent walk-in shower. There was so much on the doorstep and street parking wasn't difficult to find. Highly recommended.
